The location in the city was perfect for us as well as the proximity to good restaurants where we could walk from our room.
My only negative would be the bathrooms and towels. The bathrooms are fine - but need a little love. And the towels were quite basic and we didn’t get more than two with zero facecloths. The hotel needs some feminine fine tuning for overseas guests. But the service was good.
Bed was super comfortable Ambience was magnificent Old world charm
The location was great, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle but 10 mins from major sites. The grounds and the pool were great for relaxing
The dining hall was empty when I went in for dinner. Also the breakfast was disappointing. I ordered some fruit, omelette and coffee and was charged more than an evening meal!
The swimming pool and grounds were fantastic. We loved the fact that there was both a great bar and restaurant in the grounds that were frequented by non-residents. An Oasis away from the busy city.
Being given 2, 3/4 sized beds when booking a double room lead to slightly cramped sleeping arrangements. Not being able to buy the breakfast buffet and having to go a la carte some days caused a bit of confusion. Was a little surprised that the daily entertainers were looking for tips.
The property is located well, however the telephone in my room didn’t work the whole time I was there in spite of making repeated requests to sort it out. Staff are really good and helpful. There is plenty parking should you have a car for the stay. Of course the famous bar Palladio makes it even better to hang out at in the evenings. OeCoxks roaming around the property was very pretty. Overall it was a great experience, maybe a little renovation into the bathrooms to make it more aligned with new properties would make it more appealing. Evening local dancers and performersat the open area was a nice setting to the ambience too.
Bathroom is a bit dated
