Pros: Super friendly welcome - treated me as a friend.
Pros: Excellent location for hiking in any part of the island, Jamestown can be reached on foot easily. The owners Linda and Derek are incredibly nice and did everything they could to make me feel at home. They drove me to any place I wanted to go (at any time). They know basically everybody on the island and introduced me to lots of nice people. And they prepared delicious vegetarian breakfast, sandwiches and dinner for me! The room was spacious and was cleaned daily. WIFI works fine and there is a huge TV with lots of Sports channels, BBC, Nat Geo, Discovery, etc.
Cons: I wish I could have stayed longer.
Pros: St-Helena is a magnificent place to visit and staying with Derek & Linda only makes it more special! You will feel welcome anywhere on the island, but even more staying here. Comfortable room, excellent food (breakfast & dinner) and lovely encounters. Wifi is better than elsewhere on the island. But you don't need it (and won't miss it) when having a drink awaiting a great supper together with other guest and your hosts. Thank you so much Derek & Linda. I had a great time! See you, Alain
Pros: The kindness of the owners, the food, the atmosphere...
Pros: By far, the best part of Richards Travel Lodge is the owner/operators, Linda and Derek Richards. They are fantastic people. Secondly, the location is in a perfect setting with sweeping view of the ocean.
