Pros: From the stunning historic building to the amazing waterfalls we loved every minute of our stay. We ate well in the restaurant both evenings and the breakfast was also excellent.
Cons: Having to leave
Pros: Excellent place to get away. Beautiful gardens, rooms are huge. Everything is on a grand scale
Pros: The waterfalls in the park and the caves were stunning and only €5 for hotel guests. A must. The hotel had spectacular corridors and a magnificent entrance so plenty of wow. The bar and terrace took some finding but a unique place.
Pros: The restaurant was good, and the daily "menu" was good value. The menu was available in English; although unfortunately the a la Carte menu was not. We managed to communicate with the staff, whose English was patchy at best, and regrettably our Spanish was pretty much nonexistent. Breakfast was good, with a good selection. The adjoining park was stunning. As hotel guests, park tickets were available at check-in for only €5 per person. It was easy to spend hours strolling through the park: the waterfalls were truly spectacular. The architecture of the hotel itself was stunning. We didn't have time to explore the historical part of the monastery though.....next time! Because of the park, and the history of the building, it was a lot more than just another hotel stay - definitely an experience to be recommended
Cons: Spa was nice, although not as good as it could have been. Time we were allowed in the spa before our massage (€22 for on hour) was too short. Hotel bar was twice the price of the other onsite bar - all branded at Monasterio de Piedran
Pros: Location and quirkiness
Pros: The location was superb
Cons: The food was average
Pros: helpful and convenient
Cons: Took forever to get a drink from the bar and to book in
Pros: Beautiful hotel, very well renovated and restored with lovely staff and comfortable rooms. Dining options are limited but still good.
Cons: Beautiful hotel, very well renovated and restored with lovely staff and comfortable rooms. Dining options are limited but still good.
Located in Jaraba, Sercotel Balneario Sicilia is a 1-minute drive from Jaraba Fountain and 5 minutes from Nuestra Senora de Jaraba Sanctuary. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is located in the small village of Jaraba, but definitely very relaxing, beautiful landscape, and outdoor activities. Plus, in sunny days it's very enjoyable. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Even though that facilities do offer a good range of services (swimming pool - indoor and outdoor, bar service, restaurant, etc), I don't think the rate is fair for the quality. Even if service remains the same, at least focus on renew the decoration and give the space a more updated style.
Pros: Comfortable and clean bed
Cons: Dreadful food, dreadful service, rude.very expensive - do not go!
Cons: Wifi was not good enough at room. Breakfast acceptable but not many choices.
Pros: Tiago at the creche or ludoteca was a real star and was the single highlight of the hotel...
Cons: The Sercotel chain should be ashamed of the state of this 'hotel' - a more accurate description would be a 1930s lunatic asylum. This place is massively overpriced, it should be 2 stars at best with the rooms lacking basic amenities and the beds being awful. The system for the baths is ridiculous with staff checking off your 'card' to see if your allocated slot of 1 hour is being correctly observed. I could keep going but please don't be tricked into staying here would be my sincere advice...

Pros: Restaurant staff attentive and food quite OK.
Cons: Indifferent Hotel staff, one who was late opening Reception. Poor facilities. Dangerous shower as scalding shower water easily inadvertently selected. Bath tub bottom slippery.
Pros: The owner was s very pleasant gentleman
Cons: Attitude and service at reception. No towels in room until requested. Hairs on bathroom floor from previous guest? Cracks and missing grouting in bathroom. Lime scale on bath walls, very dirty. No information given regarding meal times. Breakfast was good and included, even though we were a little late down. Wi-fi poor Pool empty Building a little tired, would have expected to see a more presentable hotel as it is the start of season.
Pros: Good location. Quirky ambience. Good food.
Cons: Uncomfortable bed. Bathroom extremely dated.
Pros: The exterior of the building looked a little bit strange at first but the interior was beautiful. The rooms are cosy and spacious, and we had a good sleep.
Cons: We would have liked coffee/tea making facilities in the room, especially considering that the breakfast doesn't start before 9am.
Pros: Location. Food is pretty good.
Cons: No air conditioning in our room. Breakfast could be better. A bit over prized

Cons: View from our room and shower.
Pros: The swimming pool was a pleasant and clean
Cons: The side entrance from pool car park needs attention
Pros: Room was lovely, traveled with 4 yr old and 16 yr old everything was good, good proximity to Monasterio de Piedra
Pros: The hotel was disgusting. I will never go back and the town needs better transportation for guests.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the food was great
Cons: It was a great little hotel well situated in nice surroundings
Pros: Loved every moment from the second I parked my car in the hotel's free spacious carpark. A wonderful place. Pool great. Staff friendly. Evening meal excellent and great value for money. A gem of a place.
Cons: It was perfect.
Pros: Location. Very near to Monasterio de Piedra National Park
Cons: Wifi is practically non existence in the room. I requested to change room and was told by the receptionist that all rooms had the same problem
This charming guest house is located in the village of Nuevalos, 2 km from the Monasterio de Piedra Nature Reserve. Set next to the Tranquera Reservoir, it offers a terrace, garden and scenic views. Pros: The views were beautiful. The food was okay. Breakfast was goodThe staff were friendly but do not speak English.
Cons: The room was very dated with electric fuses on the wall which must date back a while. There was only one socket in the room. They were building an extension outside our window. It was noisy and there was no privacy. The very small towns people were not very friendly. Which was unusual as our holiday had been gifted with beautiful and friendly people. There is no hairdryer in the room. You have to ask to borrow one and the TV remote.Okay for workmen not for holiday makers.
Cons: No hot water
Pros: The location is just minutes from Monasterio de Piedra and is overlooking a lake. The view from our balcony was incredible! The building was clean, and the sheets were pressed. Breakfast was included.
Pros: The location was perfect for visiting The Monesterio de Piedra.
Cons: Air conditioning would have been welcome as the weather was extremely hot and it was difficult to sleep.
Pros: We were so glad we escaped from that place, it was a nightmare. First of all, the hotel is located in a pretty ghetto town and nobody knows what does the hygiene means. Secondly, don’t be fooled by the outlook of this hotel, the room and the food is very BAD. The food here is usually made of EXPIRED canned food, so we left plenty of food on the plate, someone on Booking.com mentioned the breakfast was good, but we only tried the packaged croissant because compare to the expired even turning colored cold cuts, at least the packaged food won’t make us sick. Not surprised all of the coffee mugs are dirty. The room is such a “highlight” of the trip, SO DIRTY, full of DUST. On the night stand there is breadcrumbs, the floor never been swept. My husband is allergic to dust, during the stay he kept sneezing even though he already took the allergy medication. For me I never get allergy but the whole night I feel dust in my nose and mouth. Of course not sleeping well. Sadly this is the first day of our honeymoon trip and all we want is a clean hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Pros: This is a very basic hotel but great for a stopover. The plumbing was a little noisy but we still managed a good nights sleep. The restaurant was very good. My wife had the best pork steak she has ever eaten! A good variety of food was served for breakfast. All in all a good stopover. Very cheap too.
Cons: The noisy plumbing! Luckily no one flushed during the night or too early in the morning!
Pros: Food was very good
Cons: Bathroom was a mess, broken shower head, Broken toilet seat, and no plugs for the sink or the bath.
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: The room was very dirty. Don't walk in the bedroom in bare feet. The shower was broken. The toilet seat was broken The window blind was broken The staff did not seem to care.
Pros: Lovely view from the balcony and location was great for visiting the monastery and waterfalls. The included breakfast was basic but appreciated and the restaurant menu was interesting and the meals we chose were delicious. The wait staff were very patient with us given we only could speak English.
Cons: The bathroom plumbing was extremely noisy during the night and spoilt our sleep and therefore our stay. The cost of the room however was good value, so I feel we got what we paid for.
