6.0 Good
Pros: The location was perfect and breakfast fair
Cons: The structures beds and latrines need to be upgraded to modern school, they are old school epecially the Tv
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff for the most part was very nice and helpful. The view of Lake Victoria was absolutely gorgeous and to die for! It's also pretty cheap.
Cons: Late one night on my way walking back home, I was accosted about a block and a half away by two men on foot and a man on a motorbike who told me "give me some money or I will chop off your head" and jabbed me. I ran to the closed gate, crying out for help and for it to be opened. The gateman opened it about a minute later. When I told him what had happened, he expressed no concern and simply told me to go to my room. When I informed the woman at the counter, she told me it was dangerous, and that a man had been robbed the week before; whites and East Indians were frequently targeted due to percieved wealth, and should only travel to and from the hotel in special taxis. The next night when I was leaving to go out, the same doorman and a police guard requested I buy them soda, which seemed a bizarre breach of professionalism. Also, the carpets were filthy, there were roaches in my room, and mouse droppings in my bed and abservable around the building. Finally, there were no screens on the windows, so if you opened them, bugs got in.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very professional and quite welcoming. I was unwell during the night and the owner went out of her way to support me and see if I could find any medication. The facilities were.very clean and homey and I had a wo breakfast. One could easily walk from there to the town centre.and back and I generally felt that I got great value for 13 USD.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really cleans, comfortable rooms. Lovely breakfast and really friendly staff. Great value for money and would definitely recommend to any travellers passing through Jinja.
Cons: Temporarily without hot water for our stay - but they would provide buckets of hot water if necessary. We understand this was a temporary issue so would be fixed for any future guests. Wifi was not easy to use as you had to ask the owners each time you wanted to go on, but fast wifi once accessible.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Robinia is a wonderful lady. She was helping and had time for her guests.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner welcomed us with a complimentary drink and was very keen to talk about Jinja and helpful for directions and things to do. The staff was great and always available for any request. The room by the pool was very clean, it had a nice patio and the bed was was provided with a mosquito net. The room and bathroom were spacious and new. The pool gets cleaned every day and it is a good size for dipping/sunbathing. The breakfast was great with a very wide selection of teas and good Ugandan coffee as well as full English breakfast items and fresh fruit. Drinking water is provided free of charge. The tea area is serviced the whole day and it's possible to have tea and shortbread cookies or Ugandan peanuts all day. Safety was guaranteed 24h by the guards at the gate. The location is a bit far walking from the town centre, but very easy to reach with a car. There's a good restaurant/pub within walking distance that also takes orders to be delivered to the b&b.
Cons: The rooms do not have air conditioning, the fans provided do the job but maybe programmable air conditioning could be more efficient. Lunch/Dinner can be ordered at the desk but it is not provided from the b&b itself so it takes quite a while to get food delivered. It would be great if the b&b had a kitchen and offered a small menu.

Cons: Please put facilities like glasses where one can place the toothbrush. Also do some repairs especially in the bathrooms. 6.0 Good
Pros: The rooms overlooking the pool are good but I booked knowing the hotel was close th o the Nile hence a bit disappointed with the location. I went with already negativity but a few of the staff did well to make me feel comfortable.
Cons: Location and the lady who handled my Checkin is the most unserious hotel worker I have met. We asked for slippers in the upper room where we were initially checked in. She brought very dirty slippers that could only fit a 5 year old. She then asked us to get some random black slippers which we assumed were for the residents of the facility. Sorry to say they were also dirty and the entire upper room area cluttered with dirty clothes and shoes and it just killed my hotek experince. We then asked to be relocated to the room down...she insisted we had already used the bed which wasn't true. For her I would not recommend anybody to visit this hotel but the others were very good.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable. Had hot water though you need to run the water and wait for 5 minutes. Breakfast had waffle and service is basically good. Room service was also quick. The hotel staff was nice, responsive and doing good to maintain good services and hospitality.
Cons: Loud noise on Saturday afternoon until 9pm. The air was shaking due to the noise and stressed us... There is a party house next to the hotel and the party organizer played incredibly loud music. Our kid could not take nap and we couldn't sleep neither until the noise stopped. The hotel's building contractor was doing drilling somewhere in the building as late as 8:30pm while my little kid was trying yo sleep so I had to request to stop the renovation in the night. It stopped after my request. Payment method was confusing. I would like the booking.com to improve the display of the terms and conditions of the hotel rate payment. At the booking, the booking.com's reservation site showed that credit information is needed only for security deposit and it showed that I should pay at the property on the day. So I prepared cash for the hotel rate payment at arrival. But actually, the booking.com prepaid my hotel rate, and he hotel told me that they do not need cash payment. On the day of reservation, I received an alert notice from my credit card company that a fraudulent credit charge request was made to my bank account. So I had to ask the bank to investigate the case. It turned out that booking.com charged to my account by using a merchant's name called CITY HOTELS, not "booking .com" based in Norway. I would like to request booking.com to improve the display of the payment method. It was confusing and I almost canceled the booking. I contacted booking.com's WhatsApp service and requested for clarification. The operator responded only partially to my questions and later the operator didn't answer my questions about the clarification on the payment
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast and location was great. Very easy to find and close to everything.
Cons: The payment system was very confusing and ended up having to pay offline for some stuff which was a bit fruttrating but got there in the end.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, rooms were comfortable, clean and modern. Food was great. Staff were very attentive.
Cons: nothing to complain about
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds and bathrooms were quite clean and comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay but the rooms could benefit with upgraded HD flat screens to watch TV at night. Also the AC is in the corner of rooms and although nice a fan would be helpful to cut down on electricity costs. In addition, water coolers instead of tiny plastic bottles would be great.

Cons: The sign post is hardly recognised. Make it bigger please.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on the edge of source of the nile
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning. The most amazing view across the Nile. Viollah, Phillip and John were lovely and helpful.
Cons: The food and drink were expensive compared to elsewhere in Uganda. The bars across the water were very loud until the early hours. It didn’t bother us but might upset some people if they want peace and quiet.
6.0 Good
Pros: The view from the lobby and from my room was nice
Cons: Gecko poop on the walls, found a huge crockroach in my room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the fact that security was okay and we had parking space which was okay. Break fast was alright and we were attended to well every morning
Cons: I booked online but when I reached the venue the staff didn't seem to be well prepared for our arrival. I noticed a communication gap between the online service managers and those on ground. I kept on imagining what if our rooms had been given out! I think this needs to be harnessed well so that online bookings can equally be well acknowledged and planned for. The rooms lacked facilities for entertainment, I think holiday makers would love to watch some screen or movies even while in their rooms. This could be planned for.
1.0 Poor
Cons: the initial room you assigned to me was not usable. Unbelievable bugs. Then given a choice of a tent or another room. The room I moved to had no chairs, and no lights in the bathroom or shower and no towelw. You never even offered to reduce the charges!!!
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic, beautiful views to wake up to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent.

7.0 Good
Pros: The scenery was heavenly, the place is cosy and quite getaway haven, good self catering facilities if someone decided to cook or to barbecue, clean swimming pool and great friendly staff. Great for people who loves bird watching.
Cons: Generally satisfied, room service and restaurant is a bit slow but manageable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heaven on Earth, Situated literally on the banks of the Nile with the most incredible views I have seen this side of Uganda. Beautifully designed and decorated rooms, impeccably clean with the most helpful staff. Pool was super clean too and the food was unlike anything else I have found in Uganda! Perfect time for me to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and to get some relaxation in! So happy I found Holland Park, I will definitely be back soon.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location and decor
Cons: The shower needs updating and the owner needs to revise the costs meals as far too expensive for what was on offer and presented and was not good value for money and pretty average in comparison to others places which charged a lot less for better quality meals. This applies for breakfast which again was not what is expected at lodge of rates being asked and was very basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Holland Park is such a beautiful place to stay. Very nice surroundings, which makes it easy to relax. The staff is very helpfull, kindly and serviceminded.
During our stay, we felt really well treated and welcome. They even help us with transport to the town, cause it is placed a bit out from the town.
You can pre-order your food and then the most delicious food is served on time without waitingtime.
The food is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it all!
There is a lot of friendly dogs at the place, but the staff is paying close attention to whether you are bothered of them.
The cottage that we were staying in, was really nice and have some good beds, a useful kitchen with a fridge and a nice shower with hot water.

If you love beatiful views, nice staff and in generel amazing surroundings, then you must visit Holland Park while you are staying around Jinja!

Pros: I have to say I really enjoyed my stay at holland park . Holland Park is one of the most beautiful places this side of the Nile . I can’t fault it in anyway and I’m so glad we had the chance to stay there . It is like a tropical oasis. The flowers , garden and property in general is very clean and organised . The host Ana- Maria is so kind and is so good at meeting our requests and needs . Her staff are friendly and together the whole team is amazing . The food was delicious and decent portions with a lovely welcome drink on arrival . The room was lovely and the decor was nice to . Furniture from all over the world and beautiful artwork to complement . If you want to stay somewhere and truly get value for money then I 100% suggest Holland Park. You will not regret one minute spent here and I should definitely mention the pool. Just beautiful !
Cons: Nothing ! Everything was wonderful . Thank you so much !
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The views of the Nile are stunning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The owner was really friendly and supportive. She helped to contact a driver to take us to Kampala because where the accomodation is located, is far from the main road and access to taxis. Beautiful place. We will return again
Cons: The security dogs were barking on our first night so we couldn't sleep. However when we told the owner the following day, she moved us to a stunning penthouse room with a gorgeous view of the Nile.

Pros: We were 6 people who shared a whole house with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living area. They added a seventh bed when a new guest arrived at no extra charge. The reception area was good for wifi and eating breakfast. Other meals could be ordered at an extra charge. Laundry service, too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again.
Cons: The kitchen was not great. There was a 2 burner gas stovetop, microwave, fridge, and a few pots and pans and dishes. No oven. We didn't feel comfortable using the tap water to wash dishes so we didn't cook much.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious property, you see they take very much care of it, clean and comfortable room, working hot shower, very friendly and helpful staff, made us feel like home, helped us to organize trips and gave Tipps on where to eat, their own restaurant is also very good, we only booked one night, but we could stay there and take shower the whole next day, since our bus left at night!, nice place to relax and offers many activities, good place to meet other people
Cons: Room was quite warm, not very airy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, very nice/good staff who cared to know how we were doing, nice room with family setting living room with mini kitchen and Fridge. I easily made for my baby milk and washed his bottles.
Cons: The staff who checked us in was not nice and she behaved as though she was checking in a bunch of thieves and was not in anyway getting the booking we had made online, with the manager and her other colleagues, wanting to put me & my husband in a dormitory claiming we had booked that and also seemed to insinuate that we could not afford the 40USDs for the double/family room. Maybe we missed the other staff who knew about our reservation because we checked in late in the night, I believe our experience would have been nicer just like our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best staff in Uganda. They go out of their way to help out with anything. The place is very clean, great location and nice dogs.
Cons: It's all good
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing, I had a great time

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed for over a week and i tried different rooms bec there wasn’t an empty room for the whole stay! This is the best accommodation you can find in jinja with that affordable price. I was surprised that the rooms were exactly like the photos so no disappointments, bec i was disappointed in another hotel i tried. It was super clean, the food was amazing and the staff are super friendly. I loved everything about the place! There was a generator so the electricity doesn’t go off. the bathrooms were clean and had hot water. one of the rooms had a kettle and a fridge. You can also just go try their food and spend the day at the restaurant area and work there as the internet is good and the place is nice.
Cons: There wasn’t internet in the rooms but it was great at the shared area. Some of the towels had stains in the cheaper rooms but you can ask for a replacement or just use your own.

Pros: General atmosphere. Very relaxed snd reall ckean.
Cons: Frogs croaking at night, lol. Love nature but this gang of croakers were long and long.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Melba, recepcionist, is really nice and friendly. Patricia, the owner, is friendly too, she tried to speak in Portuguese with me, this was so nice!
Cons: The WiFi problem, WiFi was on and off all the time. I'm backpacking, I have a small budget, I like to cook my food, so I miss a shared kitchen. Another point is about the waste, they have everything individual: butter, jam, bottle of water. So, I produced a lot of waste and I'm trying to reduce my waste, because the environment impact.
