Poppy and her family are fabulous and made us feel incredibly welcome - small touches like a glass of 'welcome' wine are very special and show that they are very considerate of their guests. The breakfast is delicious and very reasonably priced, the pool is lovely and the hotel location is great - it's outside the city but right by a bus station heading into the city and also to the beach. We never had a problem getting a taxi if we couldn't be bothered waiting for the bus (Poppy was gracious enough to call one whenever we required it). I really enjoyed my time at Villa Manos. The rooms could do with a little sprucing up; ours didn't have much space around the beds, but this in no way detracted from our great stay.
Personnel très accueillant et serviable Manque de certains détails: savon dans salle de bain, literie laisse à désirer...
Is was a very friendly & warm environment. They made you feel as though you were part of their family. Felt very welcome.
This hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We set up our tour through them, and they helped us rent an ATV. My room was great, and the view was spectacular. If the land around the area was developed, I'm sure my view would've been blocked. It's a quiet place, which I loved. And although it's far, it's walking distance to Fira. The pool was beautiful. Coming from a crowded, dirty NYC, this was a breath of fresh air. I loved every minute of it and didn't want to leave.
It was a really clean hotel, not far away from the city center, Fira!! Nice staff also! The rooms are quiete spacious and clean...!! Perhaps if we are coming back in Santorini we will choose the same hotel again!! Also free transportation from Athinios port was excellent!!
Service is good!~
Pool was great. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good value. Shower was not good. Too small and curtain useless.
Owner of the hotel make your stay memorable. You feel like staying in your relatives home. They do take care of everything. Bed was not that much comfortable.
After 2 weeks of travel, it was a godsend to stay at such a hospitable and freindly place. The owners are the best. Absolutely fabulous. They make you feel right at home and assist you with whatever needs you may have. The location is perfect,on the edge of town so it is quite enough for some rest yet a 2 minute scooter ride into the center of town. The owners truely have good character. I highly recommend the hotel. Excellent value for the money. The rooms were very comfortable and the atmoshere was authentic. Thanks Poppie and family! Everything was great.
The owners at Villa Manos were incredible. We couldn't leave the island due to ferry cancellations, they went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel comfortable. They did their best to get us rescheduled for a way off the island.
Very friendly owners, quiet location not far from Fira center (15 minutes walk), very clean and nice place The bathroom was too small
staffs is nice, it feel great to include the pick up service
I stayed with my family at the pension for 2 nights, and booked 2 double rooms.Overall I had a good time and can recommend it for budget travellers. Positive: 1) Shuttle service to/from airport/harbour - this is a big plus in terms of price and convenience. 2) Price 3) Location -but note I rented a car and the town is a central location from which to get around. May not apply to those wanting to be near beach, etc. Negative: Breakfast - sure it's just 4 Euros, but you can do better with a trip to the supermarket.
The people who have the pension are very friendly and they always want to help you. The bathroom.
nice friendly atmosphere
Very nice family, nice envirenment and full facilities. You can even use the kitchen! Hot water sometimes is gone. It might not be a problem in summer. but in winter...
clean rooms, the swimming pool was ok and 5 min away from Fira (with car).Friendly environment, pleasant stay the decoration of the room was no good-old fashion- the bathroom very small and old
Nice and clean place, close to the town with good price.
The family that run the rooms are extremely helpful. They picked us up from the port and took us to the port when we were leaving. They also took us to the main town as an act of goodwill. We felt very cared for by the family, they were willing to help us with queries about the area and wanted to make sure that we were comfortable staying there. The swimming pool is also excellent anfd overlooks the sea and mountains. The room was very basic although it did have air conditioning which was good.
View from the hotel is fantastic Far from Fira, about 20 minutes walk! Easily solved when rented a bike.
First would have to be the fantastic view. The staff and service was terrific and it would have to be one of the best places to go to in this big world of ours. Absolutely loved it !!!!
We had a great stay at the Lilium. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean, the views were amazing, its location is a bit far from the town, but not too bad. Breakfast was good also. All in all a fantastic stay there. The bathroom had a dampy smell.
Magnificent view to the caldera, comfortable spacious room (suite 303), nice pool and surrounding area. Friendly staff. It's quite a distance to reach Fira! There is, however, spacious parking space. The bathroom was too small and rather uncomfortable.
Very nice staff any beautifull view Beds were to hard on my old back :o)
A lovely comfortable hotel with fantastic views, the breakfast and dining area was very pleasant, again with wonderful views the food and service was good The hotel is situated a little to far from the town for us to walk and even though the hotel offers free transport it is limited
The view of the sea is excellent, so is the staff! Really doesn't get any better in my opinion. Greece is very beautiful in general, but is not a cheap trip! Local's complain about the Euro and it's impact on travel & their cost of living.
beautiful,sea sight yes
the wiev, the breakfast, the pool area, The too long distance to the city
The view was spectacular! The entire hotel staff was wonderful! We will stay there everytime we visit Santorini and recommend it to anyone visiting the island. No
The staff were very helpful. Room very clean and comfortable for the price. It was on a busy road.
The staff (a whole family) was very friendly and tried to helps their guests in every aspect. We arrived by ferry-boat and drove to the hotel with our own car; only when we arrived at the hotel we learned that Babis had been waiting for as at the port all morning.
It is a family run hotel and the family were very welcoming, informative and generous to all the guests staying whilst I was there.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they picked me up from the Airport and took me to the port the next day for free. They couldnt do enough to help. Nothing during my stay there.
The hotel is managed by a very friendly family. The service is of a 5 star hotel, they look after you all the time. A bus stop is just two minutes walking from the hotel. Good breakfast and free shuttle to the port and Fira. Nothing.
the hotel is beautifull and the staff(artemis & anna) were so kind no
Artemis is a very nice place. The family who runs this hotel is very warm and they will do everything to make your stay a happy one. The reception is always occupied and as you walk by Anna offers you free coffee and thee in the morning and wine in the evenings. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimmingpool is very nice and the reception has a computer with internet connection which you can use for free. There is also a minivan which they use to offer free transfers for their guests to and from the (air)port. As it is situated close to the airport you hear the planes taking off, but as there are not too many flights on santorini it didn't disturb us at all.
Artemis and Ana's personal involvement with all guests. Clean rooms, free shuttle to port and Thira, assistance with car hire, information about Santorini. Lovely pool area, walking distance to beach.
hotel staff and locattion
The hotel is simply perfect. A real paradise. Their owner (Anna and Artemis) are very pleasant and helpful people. Every time I go to Santorini I will get hosted there.
the staff - artemis and his wife anna - were absolutely awesome!! they always were eager to help and make you feel comfortable. the facilities were great...beautiful pool area and view of the ocean. very close to the airport. a great place to stay! they are always willing to drive you to the city too.
The owners of the hotel are lovely and kind people. They offered us free pick up from and to the airport. They made us feel like home from the first moment. The hotel is located by the beach and only 5 minutes drive from the main town of Santorini. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. We will definitely go back if we visit Santorini again.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Excellent quality of service. Highly recommended
personal service from people that love their hotel and island. wonderful no everthing was explained, we knew the location was out of town and they offered to take us into town free of charge whenever we wished
Loved the view, location Bathroom needed ventilation/exhaust fan
Views and food were great. Staff was not friendly or helpful, and the rooms were not that clean.
The view is amazing. The restaurant is great, and the staff were wonderful. Bed was a little uncomfortable, and there was nothing within walking distance.
Fabulous 2 bedroom villa perched high up on edge of cliff. Magnificent view. Private pool and terrace where breakfast is served. Great personalized service. Nothing
Gorgeous views, stunning hotel.. the staff were not very friendly, food was terrible and i love greek food but there cuisine was very western without the knowledge so very disappointed with the overall service off the staff and food!
outstanding view, atmosphere the staff behaviour
The view from the hotel is amazing! The location of the hotel, close to Fira but not in Fira is ideal for those seeking a peaceful vacation. The free hotel shuttle bus to Fira is also a plus. Fantastic breakfast buffet. The bed was unusually hard and very uncomfortable. The A/C needed to be replaced. The bathroom needs to be updated.
The location was good, the room was clean and adequate in size. The hotel is in 2 parts (not mentioned on web site). The part we stayed on did not have access to the 3 pools and restaurants unless we crossed a busy main road so we felt isolated. Not enough loungers for all the guests, especially annoying when they are empty but just draped in towels and the staff tell you there is nothing they can do! Also hotel has countless steps to pools and no lift!
Location and scenery The pool water is far to cold for a resort; Do the staff not ask why there are a dozen people around a pool on a warm day and nobody is swimming?
The view, location and buffet breakfast
Very reminiscent of Mamma Mia. The style is exactly what you'd expect of Santorini. The staff are very nice and helpful. I only had a dinner and breakfast so I'll reserve my comments on the food because I may not have experienced all the hotel has to offer. The room was so nice. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with some obnoxious travelers that seemed to enjoy themselves a little too loudly. The food but I didn't have much of it to know what might ve been better.
The rooms, views, facilities were fabulous.A lovely location and hotel perfect for honeymooners... Would highly recommend to friends and family..perfect location away from the crowds and just a short distance from Fira. No
Small but quite clearn and has everything you need inside None
Maria, out host, is the best host we've had. It's just a 5 minute walk from most things in Fira.
Everything! I absolutely recommend this place to anyone. We have been travelling Europe for 2 months now and have stayed at everything from a below 1 star hostel to a five star hotel and Villa Rose beats them all! Maria goes above and beyond to make your experience the best one possible. None. If your choosing between here and somewhere else in Santorini - choose villa rose!
Best place we have stayed in Europe! Maria the host was fantastic, made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond as a host. The rooms are fairly spacious, very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended, great value for money. Thank you Maria for making our stay so enjoyable.
The service from Maria & Nikolos keeps you blindfolded! They are amazing! Catching sleep for just a couple of hours a day to keep receiving the guests and bidding them a farewell from the air/sea ports as a voluntary service, they attend to every call with the same care! Mr Nikolos, one of the owners, defends, "every 10 euros earned should make a way partly back to the well being of the hotel and their guests" and adds that he enjoys it. This is apparent if you encounter the hosts yourself. The rooms are kept 'spotlessly' clean, a few edibles replenished each day and every call attended to, patiently. I would rate a 9 on 10! This is not something I didn't like - I only don't want the guests to choose this property with expectations and later get dejected due to this reason: the property isnt located on a sea-facing edge of the island. And if it did, I am afraid if I could ever afford to stay at this place! And am happy it's so reachable to many like me! It's neverthless quite centrally located yet secluded from the tourist buzz. If you arrive here at night, please wait till the next day break before you give up!
very good value for money. spacious room with high ceiling and comes with a balcony.
Our stay at Anna Pension was just delightful! The service and the vibe was like a Bed & Breakfast! The service was great, the room was just the right size & clean, and we have an ample size balcony overlooking the pool. This is a great place to stay if you want to save some money - excellent value!! There are a good amount of local restaurants and 4-5 bike rental places (which you will need) all less than a 5 minute walk up the street! Only bad thing, which isn't that bad is... Fira is about a 15-20 walk but if you rent a bike its only a 5 minute drive! But it is worth it to stay outside of Fira because you will save so much money!!
it was the best hotel of my trip! The staff was the most friendly!15 minutes walk from the town!100% clean ! relaxing! High Recommend it !!
Anna and her son Andreas are very helpful. The room was amazingly clean and we had nice view from our room. The bar has facilities to make your coffee and tea (provided) and cold mineral water (because tab water cannot be drunk in Santorini). Just 10 minutes walking from Fira and easy to find parking. The terrace also very good.
We enjoyed it very much and we appreciated that it was away from the noise. Missed a shower curtain
This was a great small hotel, just outside of Fira (less than 5 minute walk). Location turned out to be great because it was really easy to get in and out of, quiet, easy parking (get an ATV!), but super easy walk into Fira. It was also really easy to get to other locations around the island vs. some of the 'in-town' hotels. It also has a beautiful view of the Caldera and sunset. The staff was amazingly helpful with everything, including helping us coordinate with lost baggage and directing us to good places to get clothes in the interim. The pool was very nice to relax and staff was quick with towels and drinks. The only downside is that the shower was a little small and the Wifi was could be a little slow at times. The hotel does not have the same type of view as the hotels on the cliffs in Fira or Oia, but for the price, ease of access and other positives; it is well worth the value and very relaxing.
Spectacular views, and most of the staff is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond. I think our stay would have been A+ if we didn't experience a hiccup part of the way through, which wasn't handled ideally. Not the end of the world but did put a damper on the idealic experience. If you're a super easy going traveler and nothing will phase you, this will be a fairy tale stay for you. If you like things a certain way or have a high bar, perhaps consider a different spot. But don't worry too much, in Santorini you can't really go wrong! :D
The view was amazing (in our room, at the pool, everywhere!) we spent 2 full days at the pool, it was so relaxing and the pool bar girl made the best mojitos! It was quiet at our hotel, meanwhile if you wanted anything, it is a few minute walk to Fira town where you can get food, ice cream, coffee, etc. we wished there was wifi in the rooms
This is a beautiful cliff side hotel. Once you actually get there, it's amazing. Trying to navigate there is literally impossible, although google maps will insist you can drive onto the pedestrian walk way to get there. We drove around for quite some time, then called the hotel. They were nice, but basically just told us to park and ask someone (I didn't appreciate that part of it!). It is a relatively short walk once you park (pretty much anywhere in Fira is a short walk)
Staff, location and room.
Great location! So close to everything..Our view was fantastic! and Paul was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have a pool right there that we could relax beside. Had the most amazing time and would not hesitate to stay there again.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the caldera. Staff was very accomodating, with an early check in. Pool area was clean and very nice. Overall very happy with this hotel.
Perfect combination of adventure and relaxation... very impressed and pleased.
We enjoyed the location , and the pool great views also . unfortunatley the air conditioning did not work well at all and the bathrooms were very out of date , the linen was old and needed an update , the breakfast was very very basic
people are very friendly
The food was excellent, it was on par with a five star hotel. The swimming pool is beautiful, very big and clean. I would not rate this hotel five star. The rooms are basic and the staff aren't very helpful (even though they do try to be but don't know how to be). Seems to me that it is considered to be a hotel only for tourists so they tend to get away with a lot.
everything, esp wi fi in the room. nice. helpful, friendly staff, short walk from town center and bust stop for tours. it was good overall. the fact that there are no screens and if you dare open windows or doors for fresh air you will have a room full of flies because of the intense heat. but the air conditioner works just fine.
Everything was great. The room had an excelent view and we it felted like home. The pool was great and the staff was very nice. The organization and the display of the hotel was excelent, perfect for a nice and relaxation vacacions. Needs more variety on breakfast
The staff were very good, the food was wonderfull and we thought very good value, our room was great and the location excellent.
Champagne buffet breakfast, the free transfers from port and airport, the hotel swimming pool and proximity to the town of Fira (walking distance). The rooms are not well maintained for a 5* hotel and half of the rooms with 'volcano views' are actually facing the main road. Those rooms facing the other side may be better but they have a narrow staircase, without a bannister, leading up to the gallery/bedroom which was not practical. The biggest disappontment was the number of iunexplainable flys in the rooms. We changed rooms 3 times but just could not get away from them - not something one would expect to find in this level of hotel.
The facility is beautiful Service was good. Hotel was quiet, pool was like out of a magazine. We would come back to this hotel. Would be nice to be able to have coffee earlier than 7:00a.m.
The staff made our trip memorable. They were all excellent.
Almost everyone on the Hotel staff is very friendly and kind. The breakfast is good and the pool is excelent. The Hotel location, although not on the beach, is very central, and that allows one to reach every beach of the island in about 20 minutes by car. The breakfast is good, but could be improved considering the price one pays to stay there.
Very personal service we received. Convience to the beach, clubs and restaurants. A/C did not work in our room.
The hotel staff were extremely nice. I was travelling on my own. They provided a free shuttle to and from the airport. Always on hand to help. I had a large sized room that was very clean with good facilities.
We booked this hotel just a day before we were arriving. It was good deal and dx-room we got. There were swiming pool just in front of the room. very good location near the ocean. We were there in October(off season), so if it was in summer (peak season) that would be great fun. Room has everything. even the kitchen with all(dishes, cutlery, pan etc...). A shower room a bit smelled. The hotel was great except that.
People were very friendly and the place was nice The breakfast could have been better
is very near of the beach in a quiet area of the island. economically priced room is horrible, everything is very old, furniture, linens, towels, pillows are not comfortable.
Friendliness, personalized service, free pick-up transfer from airport
It was so pretty and quaint, very friendly staff, nice pool, and walking distance to the famous black beach. Also, good quality for the price. The bed was really hard.
Very hospitable staff! Amazing Renata on the Reception :) Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, good location, 15 minutes to Athens Port, and local buses go every 15-20 min to Fira. We liked everything
The staff was not coordinated, We had an e-mail saying the airport transfer was free and when we got there they wanted to charge us, and we had to insist to get the service as it was announced on an e-mail we received from them.
So clean, very pretty property, staff were funny, friendly and helpful. Location is brilliant for beach and sight seeing. I liked everything.
5 minutes far from centre of Fira, nice decoration!staff was very friendly and helpfull!
The Villas were family run and for the money we paid I thought it was excellent value. I little way out of main town but within walking distance of about 10 minutes. If you have a moped or quad bike its with 3 minutes Not the hotel only real bug bear was the building site that was going on next door. No mention of this on your site or from the villa owner. Still it was good value for money as the owners made us most welcome.
the room is so so so beautiful and the host is quite kind person. the hotel is located in a very quiet place but just 15 minutes walk to Fira city center. it will be so wonderful to live in this hotel.
The staff and owners were very helpful and did all they could to ensure our stay was pl;easant
everything is perfect it is a little far from the bus station, but it is not far from the fira city center
lovely place to stay Not easy to find the villas in the frist time
Friendliness of the hotel staff, and cleaness. Nice breakfast
The owner who was very helpful and pleasant. The location was peaceful but convenient and close to the caldera. The room was spotless and well appointed.
great service, friendly people, felt at home
Amazing luxury hotel, perfect location secluded yet very close to touristic villages, breathtaking uninterrupted view to the caldera, great infinity pool, well equiped cave rooms with all the modern facilities, perfect for honeymooners... The hotel just opened in April 2009 even though the service was great some things need to have minor improvements... like over humidity in the room...
Stunning hotel. The most incredible view, incredible breakfasts, beautiful rooms and highly professional and courteous staff. Liked everything
Must be the nicest accomodation on Santorini. Altho slighly remote, which adds to its magic, good walking trail to towns. Staff very friendly & helpful, ideal amenities, very clean, great pool and had own spa with magnificent view. nothing
Fantastic level of service. The private location. The stunning view. The wonderful food. And the wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, a true sancturary.
San Antonio offers genuine, unpretentious luxury, high quality services and tactful/amicable/ welcoming environment from all its staff. The unique combination of the "private" view with this high quality service offering makes the staying in San Antonio a special, private and worthwhile experience. Even though San Antonio was only working for 2 months when we visited and there are very minor practical things that could be further improved, I do not think that any of these things would change my view of the hotel, therefore are not worthwhile to be mentioned.
The view, could not get tired of that view, breathtaking! Also liked the infiniti pool, gourmet dining, the peaceful isolation and the uncrowdedness of this unique and wonderful establishment. And I can not fail to mention the exceptional service of the staff up and down the line, especially George Zygouris of the dining staff. everything was exceptional except for one thing , the room had an open floor plan inclusive of the bathroom facilities and as such there was no privacy when one would needed most.
Tranquility, the beautiful set up of the hotel, very nice room and the incredible pool!
Quiet and beautiful environment situated on the caldera cliffside. Helpful and friendly staff. While essentially isolated from the main towns, it was also relatively convenient to travel to Oia and Fira with a bus stop in front of the premises. Since the hotel is not very close to any shops or restaurants, you will have to either eat and drink at the hotel, or, take the bus/taxi for 10+ minutes to any nearby town for food and necessities. A simple trade-off if you know what you want.
The views from this location are beautiful of the caldera & peaceful. The staff is courteous & look pleasant with minimal makeup. The breakfast is good especially the choice of healthy nuts. The spa steam room is great. The jacuzzi is not very comfortable & needs more jets. The Nuxe shampoo wasn't very hair smoothing. Their regular prices are too pricey in peak season.
