This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Kashgar hotel features parking on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. For guests traveling with groups of friends, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices. The xinjiang nurlan hotel is one of the top accommodation choices in Kashgar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Only 5 minutes walk to the night market, 3 minutes to the mosque and tourist service centre (with great value trips on the Karakoram Highway), 2 minutes to a large supermarket, and surrounded by the old city. Given the quality of the rooms this is great value for money.
Cons: The breakfast was crowded and limited and late (on Kashgar time) so if youre leaving for a tour you’ll miss it. But the supermarket is practically next door so you can just skip it and get bread, fruit etc. especially if youre not keen on a chinese breakfast with no western options.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: + very comfortable hotel + everything was very clean + very good location of the hotel close to the old city and the evening food market + every room had it´s own WiFi router - the connection was therefore good
Cons: - staff barely speaks english - breakfast was a pure chinese breakfast - be prepared
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it is interesting, this is china of course and there are lots of vegetables and I am vegetarian and that was very good they make coffee also for you if you ask
Cons: this is a great place; because of it being china some people smoked in the hotel; don't let this not stay here ok for everbody like me, you need yuan when you land there is no atm at the airport or money changer; the hotel helped with this and I went to the bank of china, the guard helped me showed me how to use atm ; it translates into English
6.3 Good
Pros: 1)Decoration of the hotel was incredibly gorgeous, for historically it was used as "Sultan Hotel". Hotel lobby and restaurant for breakfast on 8th floor were inlayed with marble stones, and decorated with classic chandelier and furnitures. They are worth for watching (photos). 2)Very convenient location in the city center, close to Aitigaer mosque. 3)Our room installed classic furnitures and beds. However shower was renovated. 4)Room fee was very reasonable.
Cons: 1)Check-in time was from noon. But a lot of guests were waiting for registration, and we waited for 2 hours from 12:30-14:30 at the lobby. However after registration, I found a lot of free rooms. Room cleaning came only in the afternoon, guessing one reason of waiting for preparation of the room. Their management should be improved. 2)Most of officers in registration could not speak English except for one lady, but she was absent in the night. 3)No cooling system. Only wind from the air conditioner. Therefore room temperature was 30 Centigrade in August, but only a small part of window could be opened. Recommend to stay not in summer time.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast is a good Chinese style buffet with plenty of choices. The location is excellent and in the centre of the city.
Cons: My room has no window. There was a power failure one morning and it was very very dark inside the room. The hotel staff have very little understanding of English and always gave me wrong information. Don't beleive in anything they say, it is likely to be wrong.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The decor of the hotel. I needed to change the dates of my booking and it was possible, even after a lot of troubles and repeated requests since only the main manager spoke English.
Cons: No local food available at the hotel breakfast, as traditional flat bread, honey....
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for Idkah Mosque, Ancient cit ad Street foods..all wihin walking distance
Cons: Manager informed that some rooms were a little smelly - thanks to the absence of plumbing traps under sinks and perhaps for the shower floor traps.. It should be attended to and proper plumbing traps be installed to trap the odour in the sewer pipse returning/creeping into the bathrooms..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and clean rooms! The beds were very comfortable! The staff did not speak English very well, but they were friendly and helpful. Great and clean bathroom!
Cons: Breakfast was typically Chinese, a lot of options, but maybe not ideal for all foreign guests
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is really convenient right close to the old town. Even you can walk to the Sunday Market. Spacious and clean room
Cons: The room window faced the corridor so it was quite dark
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is perfect, in the heart of the old town. The breakfast was quite good.
Cons: We had the room without the window and that wasn't stated in the offer. When we tried to change the room, we couldn't communicate with the staff. They clearly didn't want to understand us even though they used the translator app, so we gave up. Also, the cleaning service was provided only once during the five days stay.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Good infrastructure. Breakfast/dinner buffet good value for money.
Cons: but very badly managed. Very dirty swimming pool, sauna, steam bath. Rooms A/C did not work properly, we were "cooked". It harms the Radisson Blu brand!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really kind and helpful (especially Jason - thank you for your patience with all my questions!). Easy to access taxis to see the main sites in Kashgar.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The suite we were upgraded to was very comfortable.
Cons: Do not stay here! No end of problems beginning with the hotel staff not being able to find our reservation on arrival and asking us to leave and come back the next day - it was 2am! Tours they organised for us in advance suddenly increased in price when we arrived and no English speaking guides were available. We eventually remedied these issue with patience and persistence on our part. Some of the staff tried to be helpful but their advice was often wrong - they warned us off a restaurant because it was 'too expensive'. We went anyway and paid about £12 for a meal for two! They also told us the local night market shut at 8pm - we went anyway and found it thriving! They upgraded us to a suite which was lovely but could have been cleaner. The pool facilities are tired, dirty and the jacuzzi/sauna/steam room were all out of action.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, friendly staff .our room got upgraded, good service New stylist room
Cons: No
6.5 Good
Pros: The room is big. Room and lighting designs are pleasant and up to five-star standards. The shower, pillows and breakfast are both awesome.
Cons: The room temperature was too high at 28C. The staff could not fix it and asked me to open the windows. Wifi signals were weak. They could have transferred us to another floor, like what they did to my friends.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was big, the bed was great, the bathroom was clean. The staff in the Lobby Lounge was very kind. At the lobby and in the restaurant minimum one person with good English knowledge. Lunch Buffet was great (tried Chinese and local food) for the price.
Cons: One day I ordered a la carte food (lunch) at the restaurant and did not get it (after 45 minutes I canceled my order - they told me someone made a mistake and I was forgotten). Lobby Bar was closed at 10:30 pm (by sign it should be open until 11:00 pm). Some informations given in the information folder in the room are not correct (there should be three restaurants - only one was open, breakfast time, ...). Pool area needs renovation. Some people are smoking in the lobby (not only in the smoking area). Breakfast food was partially cold. My conclusion: if you are looking for a proper hotel with some kind of western style and a good bed in Kashgar, take this one. If you are looking for 5 star standard, I think you might be disappointed in some points.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facility to stay in
Cons: Hotel location was not great. Have to hire taxi for short ride to center of city or night life
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean and modern rooms
Cons: Terrible food. Staff didn't speak English - very hard to communicate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great food options with very good breakfast and dinner buffet, nice bar with good wine, luxurious and very clean rooms, nice swimming pool
Cons: Not in walking distance to city center
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff at the reception was very helpful and spoke good English. Clean and comfy rooms
Cons: The pool staff level of service was very poor and absolutely not customer-oriented
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - Very good rooms - Extensive in room dining menu - Great staff
7.0 Good
Pros: Terrace and staff
Cons: Matress and space in dorm
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed not the most comfortable
Cons: Great location and nice outdoor atmosphere
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The only good thing is the location.
Cons: The door of the room did not lock, the internet was slow, the stuff not friendly or helpfull.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the heart of (new) old town beside Id Kah mosque, staff were friendly and Mao Mao the dog was very cute to have around
Cons: Beds are very hard, pillows are bean bag which is really quite unpleasant and the water pressure in the shower was essentially non-existent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, near to Idkah Square, you can reached there by foot. Have a lot of stores downstairs. and the staffs were helpful. Cozy corners/rooftop was really nice for us to chill outside the room and watching people around the Idkah Squares. Wifi, room slipper were provided, also the washer machine. We saw some of the rooms were under renovation/construction, and they looked so nice and more privacy than our room.
Cons: By the time we arrived, they’re doing construction works, installing new furnitures and renovations for the other rooms. It’s not noisy but it’s quite dusty, we have to use public shower as one in our room can’t be used.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The terrace was a good place to chill.
Cons: The staff spoke very limited English.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: place is at very good place, staff is friendly.
Cons: water pessure in bathrooms not good some time no water
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location directly across from the mosque. Nice, if tired, roof patio. We had a very large and quite soft bed. The room had an ensuite bathroom, which had very pungent drains but the smell faded when we put something over the drain hole while not using the bathroom. The staff were fine and spoke some English. (though some were fairly disinterested). Wifi was good. Dog was cute.
Cons: The whole place felt a little like it used to be a really good hostel that hadn't seen any love in quite a while. Roof garden was nice enough, but had quite a lot of junk strewn around and a lot of dead plants. There is a cafe/bar area, but it was being used as storage. We were offered a choice between two double rooms and the one we didn't choose had a rock hard bed - so perhaps see if you can look at the rooms available before committing!
5.0 Okay
Pros: You can see the place used to be nice! Beautiful outdoor space, but very neglected! Broken table, easy to fix they just don't care. Beautiful grape vines, died from not watering are replaced by plastic vines, tables not cleaned by the morning. The kitchen the same, nice bones! You can see someone used to care, but it's not the current Han owners! Dust and trash cover what used to be a nice place to make food! They have a fancy coffee machine but no electricity, get someone to fix it! The room itself, we had a private double, was ok, a bed, sink, toilet and a tiny shower with warm water! The airco works but not great! The staff weren't welcoming, not rude either they just don't care I guess. Mostly taking over the inside lounge smoking and hanging on the phone. We were th only non Chinese at the time, which was disappointing but not necessarily there fault! The location might be the only good thing! If you have Low expectations and don't base them on the photos they re posting it might be ok. But there is one more hostel foreigners can stay!
6.3 Good
Pros: the location is very convenient.
Cons: the shower nearly doesn't work and the water is cool during the day(if they want, they can take a note on the door"after ?pm the water is warmer" ). i really hope that the hostel can repair the broken facilities in time.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were nice, and the courtyard is also nice
Cons: Unfortunately the dorms and bathrooms are very dirty. People smoke in the rooms and throw rubbish around. The bed is a wooden slab with a thin piece of foam. The sheets were clean though.
7.5 Good
Pros: Accept foreigners!!! The staff is really nice and helpfull. They have a lot of space for meeting with other travellers. It is well decorated.
Cons: The bathrooms could be more clean.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The guesthouse is centrally located in the old town itself, and very close to Id Kah Mosque. There is also a caravanserai-style courtyard for travellers to socialise in (like in the good old days). The staff were sweet people.
Cons: I was rather shocked when I was shown my dorm. The room was dim and did not look well-kept. One of my dorm mates was a chainsmoking, middle-aged man who I took to be a long-term resident. He had a penchant for smoking in the room (inconvenient, as I am sensitive to smoke) and was rather unhygienic. Some of the beds in the dorm were left unmade for days. The toilet was equally frightening. This is not a place to seek comfort and respite in, though you might meet some interesting travellers here.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hostel is well located and the staff are all friendly, especially the guys from Taiwan, who have far better English than the rest. It’s also in a lovely old building and the atmosphere is good.
Cons: The hostel has a lot of potential due to the points above but the cleanliness let’s it down so much. The first bathroom upstairs is just disgusting, there’s no other word for it, it’s beyond cleaning, it just needs ripping out completely; not to mention there are only four toilets/showers for what must be more than 50 guests...and the other three aren’t much better. The rooms are also pretty dirty but at least you make the beds yourself so you know the bedding is clean. The beds are also super hard, even for China, the curtains are barely hanging on and also the rooms downstairs apparently didn’t have AC. Also there is a serious lack of information in English, most importantly the fact that you can eat lunch and dinner for a small fee. This needs to be told to the foreign guests too because I wasn’t the only one who felt put out when we thought the hostel was feeding the locals for free and ignoring us!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel attractions near you can walk to close a bus stop
Cons: Room drom bathroom can not shut the door not, and the air-conditioned where I sleep with water drops
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location and cheap
Cons: Primitive facilities
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location is in middle of "old" town. When I told the staff about the dirty bathroom and dorm they immediately sent a cleaning lady. Unfortunately she only picked up some trash from the floor but not really cleaned the place. We moved to the other hostel in town (Pamir Hostel) and took a private room which was much better. The hostel was willing to give us the money back for the leftover days (we booked for 3 nights but stayed only 1 at Kashgar old town hostel). So that was kind. Don't know how the private room at Kashgar old town youth hostel is though.. Hopefully better than the dorms.... Unfortunately only two hostels in Kashgar so better go to a hotel if it's available.
Cons: Very very unclean bathroom and dorm and bed. No mattress, only a thin kind of blanket, plastic bottles and trash in room, no electricity in bottom bed, only 1 shower and toilet for 16 people and it was very dirty. Staff can't speak English very well.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and helpful staff
Cons: No kitchen
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Baggage store open Bites after sleeping
5.5 Okay
Pros: A friendly place. A good place to meet fellow travellers. A central location in Kashgar. A nice outdoor courtyard. Air-conditioning in the room.
Cons: The facilities, especially the bathrooms, are dated, dirty and in serious need of an upgrade.

5.5 Okay
Cons: Very depressing staff, cats inside
6.3 Good
Pros: - Location between the old city and the railway station (was my criteria), less than 10' walk to a bus stop. - Help from the attendant to find back-up solutions to the trains sold-out situation end of August (students travelling back to their universities). - Possibility to take a shower before taking my night train. - wifi working good.
Cons: Bathroom is in an average condition.
6.3 Good
Pros: Well located for the old town, decent wi-fi.
Cons: Well, for starters it’s not trading under the Kashi Maitian name! OsmAn app takes you to where the *old* Maitian hotel used to be: the new one is opposite the lake and, obviously, is called “Kashi lakeside hotel”. In spite of being relatively new the bathrooma are quite run down and not very clean.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The bedsheets quite smelly.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good lounge area with a full kitchen. Laundry facilities are available and there is a good rooftop view after dark towards the East Lake and central Kashgar on the other side. The private room had air conditioning and a fan, which was very helpful in the July heat.
Cons: The bathroom shower had lousy water pressure. It was somewhat difficult to take a shower effectively. Also the floor is not built right and the water pools and doesn't drain. For hours after you shower, you will wade through a pool of water to use the toilet.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Nice view from the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The nice help from the staff
