Pros: The whole hotel was extremely clean and attractive. Pool was nice and the perfect temperature. 24hr Starbucks in the hotel!! Staff was very nice. Best place to stay in Marathon.
Cons: Only thing lacking in this hotel is a beach area.
Pros: Hotel staff were very professional and helpful. This is a beautiful property and has many amenities. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is very relaxing. The rooms are clean and modern. I will definitely recommend it to others.
Cons: The AC vent blows directly on the bed.
Pros: The best hotel I ever lived. Several days passed, but the bright feeling from that hotel is still fresh in my mind.mordern, delighted, and perfect location.
Pros: Great stay. Beautiful view from the pool area.
Cons: Pricey food list. No complimentary breakfast. Even coffee is pricey and not free.
Pros: Location and Pool. Great staff. I see new hotel growing pains here and there
Cons: Housekeeping needs to understand elevator needs to be cleaned also. Wife got food poisoning at hot breakfast. Mine also was not good...and it was not free.
Pros: The hotel was very clean and had really nice decorations. The front desk people gave us good recommendations for the area. We loved our spacious room. Everything was laid out perfectly. The pool area is beautiful.
Cons: We were disappointed that we couldn't access the beach/ocean.
Pros: The room was clean & new. The pool area was really nice with a good bar. The server provided excellent service. The fireplace outside the dining area was a good place to hang out and also the small beach area . Overall the stay was very memorable
Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel, knowledgeable and quick response from staff. The maid service was excellent, they brought fresh towels, and coffee as requested. Beautiful interior decoration, soft beds and very soft pillows. Breathtaking view from pool!
Cons: I would have given all 10 stars but be aware that they add on a credit to your room for about $75 extra charge which I was not aware of until it was time for payment. The 'credit' is for bar tab, food, etc.

Seascape Motel & Marina features a marina and puts you just a 5-minute drive from Sombrero Beach. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, along with onsite kayaking. There's a garden, and rooms offer refrigerators and free WiFi.
Cons: They said they never got my amoma registration and even though I had a voucher sent to me, when I imputed my info on the amoma website, they didn't have my information either. My card was charged and I paid for the room. It took me 9'hours to drive to the Hyatt, was tired, and had to drive to several hotels before I found one with a vacancy. Not a fun way to start off the holiday. Fix your reservation systems!
Pros: Staff was great...rooms taken care of...great breakfast...nice overall experience...bathrooms in room fantastic. I would recommend to others.
Cons: No hot tub...pool a tad small for facility size...beach further than stated..
Cons: Odor of room's carpet
Lack of towels and accessories for quantity of people in room
Pros: Beautiful lighthouse behind the hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Nice size bathroom with shower head.
Cons: The pull out sofa had white mold growing on the bottom of it. The room also had a funny smell the first day we were there. I prepaid through Kayak but the hotel tried to charge me the full room rate when I was checking out (over $115 more than I originally paid).

Complimented by a state of the art full-service 72 slip marina and yacht club. The three level hotel with 125 guestrooms is just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. Abundant outdoor event lawns, meeting space and waterside pool awaits our guests.
Pros: We stayed there for one night with another couple. We enjoyed it so very much and will be returning. It is more beautiful than we had all expected. Great bang for the buck!

Royal Hawaiian Motel Botel features a marina and puts you within a 10-minute drive of Sombrero Beach and Dolphin Research Center. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool or take advantage of nearby hiking/biking trails. Other highlights include a terrace, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and microwaves.
Pros: Great location isolated on a key, but close to other cities. There is plenty to do - snorkel, scuba, tennis, parasail, fish, or hang out on the great grounds. The facilities are well laid out, with family and adult only areas.
Cons: It was a bit pricey but we booked late for the holidays. The food onsite was good but not excellent. You are very close to other restaurants though in Marathon and Islamorado.
Pros: Everything fun under the sun different zones for different vibes you want to feel tranquility pool for adults only, 24 hour pool for the entire family, kids play zone with pirate slide waterworks, with additional pool, beautiful property, free trams
Cons: The valet (Dwight) was rude and standoffish.
Georgina at the breakfast buffet was straight nasty and just needs to be fired after basically scolding my child, or have additional "training" I think the Dolphins could have done a better job dealing with the guests
Pros: My family and I absolutely love this resort this is our second year coming here. I can't think of a single thing I would change. The staff is great and everyone is always smiling at Hawks Cay. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great family vacation.
Pros: The resort is thoughtfully layed out. The location is great. House keeping service was great.
Cons: In my 3 day stay, I only ate at the resort. I got the worst food poisoning. I believe it was the Mediterranean platter poolside. I advised the reception desk and they just said they were sorry. No management followed up with me. For that I will not go back.
Pros: Nice and quiet place.Staff was great, clean and updated rooms.
Cons: The lagoon looks awesome on the picture, but in reality is a small pond, not even kids can swim there. This picture is a joke
.Room was 250$ which ok,plus 85$ taxes and other fees and on the top 45$ resort fee.(we didnt take any extras).Nobody expect 380$ for one night.
Pros: Staff was great and very helpful. We stayed in a marina villa. It was perfect for our family of 5 (3 adult children) plus grandmom! The kitchen was well equipped, full size fridge and dishwasher. There was a washer and dryer in the second bathroom. The men loved the accessibility to fishing/ charters. The women loved the spa. The location of the resort is perfect. We could venture out to Islamorada(20-25 minutes) and get to Key West (1:15-20) too. Marathon is very close and you have access there to gas stations and grocery stores.
There were planned activities everyday for all ages, although they usually cost extra.
Cons: The wifi was very spotty despite having a router in the villa. Room service was a bit rude and unaccommodating. We only ordered once, so maybe it was just one person that left a bad taste.
It would have been helpful to have some sponges/dish towels in the kitchen along with a few basics like salt and pepper and coffee filters.
Pros: Very clean and well staffed.
Cons: Nicks and dimed you for activities that are normally included in the "resort fee" at comparable resorts
Pros: Location, scenic, quiet
Cons: Ageing facility, Wi-Fi coverage
Pros: We upgraded to a Junior Suite when we arrived and were very happy with the room. Layout was great, we had a great view. It was too cold to utilize the pool or any of the outdoor dun stuff. While it deterred us, there were from crazy people laying by the pool in Parkas!
Food was great - we only ate the breakfast Buffet
Cons: Were got there around 8is, we were looking for something light to eat and a couple of drinks. When we sat down we were handed to Alma restaurant menu which is their fine dining restaurant. We were told that they took away the bar menu.
Only other thing I noticed was that the gym was way to small. Felt claustrophobic and like they had just shoved every piece of equipmen that they could into this little tiny room.

Cons: The hotel was terrible, the bathroom was dirty. Te air conditioner didn't work. There was no parking I had to park outside the hotel. I was a terrible experience I will not recommend this hotel to anyone
Pros: Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice. Bathroom was updated. Free wifi. Pretty much everything was spot on. Not a luxury place but great for the price
Cons: Couldn't get the wifi to work.

Pros: The only pool on the island. Excellent communications from owner. Clean, spacious room with a butt-kicking air conditioner. RIght in the middle of the Keys, so you can use that as a nice base. Will stay again AAA+++
Cons: Close to main highway, so there was some traffic noise.

Cons: Little high in price for quality
Under construction created less parking
Long line for check out, should simplify
Pros: We enjoyed the location of Sombrero hotel and the free use of their boat ramp and trailer parking they offer to guests. The marina is about a 30 minute ride from Sombrero Reef Light.
Cons: Some of the property appeared to be occupied by extended stay patrons that enjoyed settling their domestic problems at midnight over a few too many drinks. Some nights were less than restfull. We got our money worth from the stay. Not unhappy.
Pros: Staff . AC in MB was nice and cold. Plenty of hot water. Close to the Tri event we went there in the first place. Great view of the canal and the boats
Cons: AC in LR was minimal. Rug was badly stained and torn. Condo unit was sorely missing basic kitchen items. Not enough towels. Place needs major renovation
Pros: Check in was easy. Check out was easy. A nice clean quiet beach was about five minutes down the street, and a Kmart and grocery store was at the corner. The bartender was friendly and had decently priced drinks. Parking was easy.
Cons: The desk staff was impatient and rude when there was more than one customer in the lobby. I couldn't believe the way they talked to people on the phone. I had to come back to the front desk about an hour after checking in and the lady didn't even remember me and treated me like I was a nuisance. They require a photocopy of your credit card when you check in. The rooms had mold on the bathroom ceiling and the carpets felt mildewed and were stained, and the lighting was minimal and dingy. My room was ony fully serviced one night. The second night they only took trash and left no clean towels and the last two nights there was no service at all. There is no night attendant or phone in the room. The wifi works but it took me asking the bartender to get the correct password. Cost was cheap but I wish I'd sucked it up and spent more at a cleaner and more hospitable hotel. Luckily I spent all my time outside at other places. Fyi, there's no marina there, and it's FAR from being a resort.
Pros: I loved the kichen and space. The front door opened to a wide canel with beautiful sailboats and yachts tied up. I loved the view. Nice breeze. 2nd floor so I could the stairs. Elevator slow.
Cons: They are renovating, for the next year. From 8:30am to 5:30/6pm. First morning out my front door using a lift to get to roof, which beeped anytime it moved up or down. Last night came back to room to change at 5pm and they were jack hammering my patio.

Nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens are offered up in all rooms, along with room service and free WiFi.
Pros: It was as I had expected from the reviews, clean, plenty of towels and the A.C. worked well. Nice location BUT there is no swimming due to lots of seaweed in the water right at this location. Otherwise very nice.
Cons: No swimming due to seaweed.
When you stay at White Sands Inn, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Dolphin Research Center and Sombrero Beach. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, along with onsite kayaking. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Location was nice water view was pretty. Rooms were clean, but the floors were dirty. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Well it's been 2 weeks and since the "system was down" at checkout I was informed my receipt would be emailed to me. Still waiting. Tiki bar was very limited beer and wine and closed at 6:30pm.
Pros: Nice property with clean rooms. Great spot to see sunset and a very nice large pool. Beach is small rocky and too close to Marina.
Cons: Beach too close to Marina. Property really for boater transients so mainly older retired people.
Pros: Rooms were updated, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Property is run down and in need of updateing and cleaning.
Pros: Grounds are nice despite needing some maintenance. Direct access to marina. Cute but minimal room decor.
Cons: Understaffed. Front desk manager rude and incompetent. Room not serviced prior to arrival or for entire length of stay. Expect to be told by the front house manager that you're lying about room issues, especially if requesting your room to be serviced, needing towels or amenities. Aggressive mosquitos on the grounds, in the hallways, and especially in the rooms, so the room patios are useless. No pool/water activity towels, so expect to hoard bath towels in your room. Contrary to the hotel's sales pitch from their reservation agents at B Hotels, there are no bikes included with your resort fee. In fact, absolutely nothing is provided for your resort fee. Overpriced for the quality of accommodations and extreme lack of service. Feels like a cheap motel that was nicely renovated, but kept the same staff and same poor level of service (read: none).
Pros: hotel is old, with very little amenities.
Banana Bay Resort & Marina features a marina and puts you within a 15-minute walk of Sombrero Beach. You can relax at the spa tub, work out at the outdoor tennis court, or unwind with a drink at the pool bar. Pros: Staff was wonderfull.
When you stay at Seashell Beach Resort, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Dolphin Research Center and Sombrero Beach. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, along with onsite kayaking. Rooms feature kitchenettes and free WiFi.
Pros: Loved the ambiance. Leila was a great host. I was able to get the room I wanted
Cons: Refrigerator smelled like fish
Pros: free kayak & opportunities to kayak with manatees.
Cons: the refrigerator didn't work. This stove didn't work. The washer and dryer didn't work.
Coconut Cay Resort & Marina features a marina and puts you just a 5-minute drive from Sombrero Beach. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, along with onsite kayaking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The charms of their one room cottages and th private feel.
Cons: The pillows were very uncomfortable
Pros: The staff was nice and everything was ready.
Cons: The fire alarm started to beep at 5am
Because it wanted batteries. I could not turn it off.
Pros: Spacious place. Prices are very good.
Cons: Shower head is too LOW!
