Pros: Beautiful place disconnected of civilization. Jut stay next to the Natur. Solar energy. Sun coker. And nice Familie:-)
Pros: Owner is very friendly and makes an excellent meal. We asked for a packed breakfast and it was the largest one we ever saw, and it tastes great too. It is a small restcamp with 4 bungalows and a place for campers. The room was provided with extra blankets and a gas heater to protect us from the cold. The extra blankets were necessary in mid july.
Cons: There is nothing not to like of this restcamp.
Pros: Great place between Sesriem and Windhoek. In the middle of nowhere nice bungalow with just what you need inside. The owner is friendly and will give you lot of information for your trip. He makes is own bread which is nice for breakfast.
Pros: Very nice welcome and very good dinner at Karsten
Pros: The best dinner adn breakfast
Pros: It is far away from everything. Nice host. A isolated location.
Cons: It is very basic
Pros: The owner was friendly and helpful. We had dinner & breakfast on his front verandah with him, very enjoyable!
Pros: Capricorn Restcamp is a gem of waypoint in your Namib desert wanderings. The rustic and affordable accommodations are small houses set out on a hillside a short walk along a trail from the main house. It had everything we needed, including a great view of the sunset and the sensation of being alone in the wilderness (aided by no cell coverage and the fact we were the only guests that evening!). The host made a delicious dinner with locally sourced ingredients and in the morning gave us packed lunches in lieu of breakfast so we could get an early start to go hike in the nearby Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park (the Olive Trail - a spectacular wilderness hike through hills and deep set canyons).
Pros: Super friendly owner, clean room with compact facility, great view,
Cons: weak electricity and wifi.
Pros: Everything was excellent; helpful and nice host Karsten; good breakfast; 180 km to Sossusvlei but very good location also for Naukluft mountains, and the surrounding area is beautiful; dog-friendly and very clean hut with individual braai area
Cons: Nothing not to like; extremely helpful host, Karsten
