Pros: I enjoyed the location, closed to the sea. I was satisfied overall with the facility. A big plus for the parking area with the video surveillance and for the breakfast quality. Good and free coffee as well :)
Cons: The restaurant menu could be a bit more diverse.
Pros: Quiet and staff polite. Clean and welcoming.
Cons: Not enough plug points! Even where you have LAN sockets for a laptop, theres no plug point for power.
Pros: Very elegant and spacious hotel on the coast north of Copenhagen; comfortable beds; very good breakfasts; beautiful grounds - green, peaceful; good range of restaurants along harbour front; regular bus service northwards along coast (388); pleasant walk (1 km, through grounds) to train station and into the city; well located for visiting Karen Blixen museum (next door); liked the decor, the emphasis on 'green living', including flowers from garden on tables in dining room
Cons: Everything was fine
Pros: Gorgeous place! Very large, many places to relax in. Room overlooked peaceful greenery with no lights shining in our bedroom nor cars noisily driving by. Great breakfast. Multiple restaurants in the harbor almost directly across the road. Right on National Bike Route 9, only 20 km from Helsingør and 30 from Copenhagen. Bicycle parking under cover but unlocked. Loved our 2-night stay here. All in all, one of our most memorable stays in Europe, out of 100+
Pros: Great located directly at the marina and beach. Cozy and nice - looks like a design hotel! The breakfast was awesome!! Loved the coffee and tea station in the hotel!
Cons: The bed was not really comfortable, but ok:)
Located in Horsholm, Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen is by the sea, within a 10-minute drive of Horsholm Kirke and Arboretet. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Horsholm? This hotel has facilities measuring 2153 square feet (200 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is fantastic.
Cons: The room was fairly dark as the windows were small and high up. Shower water easily floods the bathroom. The floor is completely flat and there is noting to lead the water towards the drain. We did not have the cheapest room and we even purchased an upgrade and still the room was not that great. The Hotel did not make up our beds, clean the room or prepare the room for the night during a two night stay. Finally, the Swimming Pool and Spa remains a mystery to us. We assumed that hotel guests would have access to the pool based on your website but in reality it is only available for pre-booked private events as far as we could understand. We are writing this somewhat critical review in order to encourage the Hotel to work on their systems, communications and service........ the location and the facilities is an increditable asset but but it needs just a little tweeking. Having said this we do not want to discourage anyone from staying at Kokkedal. The location is great, the staff is willing ( but need a little help) and the location is good for the airport and access to Copenhagen and the area North of Copenhagen.
Pros: I stayed there several times, my favorite rooms are the ones below the roof, very charming. View is great, area very quiet.
Cons: The AC system outside the buildings is very noisy and rooms close to the main machine are exposed to not so nice noise.
Pros: Themed, comfortable rooms with powerful shower Excellent restaurant Friendly staff
Pros: Friendly staff, great green area, cosy rooms, price is not cheap but it's alright for a special night like a birthday or something.
Cons: Of course it's a beautiful place and taste it's very individual, but I think the interior is a bit too much, I would have liked a bit more authentic less feudal furniture and ambiente. Some wood and different colors, a bit more individual perhaps, some green plants. It is a bit uncozy in the main building/foyer with all the uniform colors and the symmetry.
Pros: It was great place with great location. Service was excellent!
Cons: The isolation of the noises was not the best possible for sure because of the old house.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Beautiful hotel

Pros: Everything thatch roof beautiful day lace
Pros: Close to the Fredensborg castle. The host is very kind.
Cons: Bit difficult to find. The guests need to put on sheets, quilt covers and pillowcases by themselves.
Cons: Colleague banged head on wooden beams in attic room. No one to greet us, but key in key safe.
Pros: Just look at this building! Thatched roof, an eyebrow, courtyard, parking on the rear side, fat window sills, a renovated apartment in a quiet area yet close to town and other tourist sites within easy driving distance----talk about charm. The kitchen and bathroom are nicely renovated. The living room area is comfortable. The loft bedroom with 2 twin beds was a bit hard to deal with. The low slope of the ceiling in the loft and the steep stairs to it made it hard to deal with in general but visiting the bathroom in the middle of the night or taking luggage up there was difficult. The luggage stayed on the first level which was very roomy. We still loved this place and it worked for the three of us.
Pros: Very nice appartment, nice place. Very close to Frederiksborg slot and Kronborg slot.
Cons: You have to put and take of linen your self.
Pros: Nice, clean house. Friendly owner. Not far away from supermarkets. Next to the garden/park from the Queen = a public area where you can make peaceful, beautiful walks. Very close to the Esrum lake (swimming, rowing, sailing). From Copenhague 45 km away.
Pros: Comfortable beds. Nice surroundings. Short distance to a supermarket.
Cons: One of the duvet (dyne) was dirty. Freeser would have been handy.
Pros: Very friendly owner. The park and the royal palace was beautiful.

Pros: A lovely hotel in a wonderful location with large rooms and free parking.
Cons: We found the restaurant staff unfriendly
Pros: A quite neighbour hood close to the castle
Cons: The floor was noisy in second level in main building.
Pros: Picked the Hotel because you can see the "castle" from the front yard and very handy to then walk around the gardens. Bonus was an excellent dinner menu - recommend the 5 course tasting offering. Couldn't fault the wine list nor anything about this Hotel. Building has lots of character, nice paintings, had an open fire going as well. And great staff. Plenty of onsite (free) parking.
Pros: Even the town is small, the location is superb. The building conservation and restauration and specially the chef kindness are the features that I want to remark.
Cons: The shower were to small. We checked in al 9:00 PM, and nobody were at the front desk
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Very nead and cosy house. Very very helpful and friendly land lady. Very close to Horesund coast, Karen Blixen museum and Louisiana museum. Copenhagen can be reach by bus and train in a few minutes. We really enjoy our stay in Mikkelborg alle by Brigit Trup

A bicycle rental service is available at Villa Humlebæk, while hiking and cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Copenhagen is 39 km from the accommodation, while Kastrup is 37 km away. Pros: Warmly recommended. This was such a lovely place. Clean, comfortable bed and super fresh sheets and towels, well composed interior, almost hotel like, cosy private garden, close to the sea, easy access to everything. And not the least -super sweet hosts and the best breakfast - worth every penny! <3 :)
Pros: Very good breakfast delivered at the door. The bed is big and comfortable. The style is French country style - very homey and stylish. There is everything you need to relax and sleep quietly and comfortably. The owners corresponded politely and responded fast to questions.
Cons: The room is a bit small-ish, but the style is open, light, and there is everything you need. The surroundings are very nice and open and light. The floor in the bathroom is very cold in the winter.
Pros: Prompt answers on e-mail when we had questions and a really warm welcoming when we arrived. Lovely rooms in a bit of New England style. Very clean and very nice furbished. A nice (tiny) private garden where you can have breakfast on warm days. Fantastic breakfast! And certainly since it was not included in the prize for the room we were somewhat reluctant to add this. But we do not regret it! It really made our morning. Fresh warm bread, a lot of toppings, wonderful eco eggs, tasty orange juice and more. And special servings for the two vegetarians. And the table was so charmingly set. There is also a fabulous White guide restaurant (Sletten) within walking distance from the villa, down by the harbour, and so is the art museum Louisiana with spectacular exhibitions and views. Villa Humlebaek is easily reached with train from both Helsingborg and Köpenhamn. All in all excellent and a really memorable stay. Thank you!
Cons: To not being able to answer 'yes' when we had the great offer to stay one more night.
Pros: We had a fantastic homemade breakfast. Bread, yoghurt, jam, tomatoes, eggs and more in the tranquil front yard in the sun. The room is tastefully decorated. Well planned for smal space. Great bed. Keyless door! Make sure to book a table at close by Sletten restaurant! Explore the area by foot!
Cons: Breakfast not included in price took us by surprise. But it was worth the price. Air in room not good. Lovely host!
Pros: A wonderful little bed and breakfast. Great location in Humlebaek. Connie was incredibly nice and helpful.
Cons: sadly the breakfast was over-priced for what was available
Pros: Loved everything about our stay. And hope to come back
Cons: The beds the brackfast the heat and shower
Pros: We loved everything - the style and the decoration of the house, the private garden close to the sea, the really delicious home-made breakfast and the friendly puppy living next door.
Pros: Very nice very personal. Excellent place.
Pros: Clean. Cozy. Parking was good.
Cons: The shower had a restricted drain. The entire floor was covered in water. The shower head slipped off and broke when I slipped on the slippery floor. Room wasn't ready when I showed up so I had to leave. When I retured from dinner after 10 there was no indication about breakfast so I simply left.
This family hostel offers a spacious garden and free barbecue facilities. Views of Fredensborg Castle and its orangery can be seen from the garden. The castle is about a 10-minute walk away. Fredensborg Vandrehjem provides simple guest rooms and bathrooms are either private or shared. There is also access to a communal kitchen for those who wish to make their own meals. During summertime, guests can enjoy a coffee or other refreshments at the hostel café. The roofed terrace is also a great place to have drinks and admire the surroundings. There is also a common lounge with fireplace. Fredensborg train station is 1.1 km away.
Pros: There is a great bakery/pastry store a short walk into town. About the best I've ever had!!
Cons: Very small room, extra charge for bed linen
Pros: Super friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast was great! Lovely grounds and nice and close to Slot Fredensborg, the lake and a short drive by car to Louisiana.
Cons: The room was fine for a short stay.
Cons: Reception was closed wouldn't answer phone raining very hard, asked to book breakfast was told no, room dirty Shower room was filthy
Pros: Everything was perfect for me!
Pros: The warm welcome and the very big garden of the queen just a few steps away (with a very nice place to have lunch: Skipperhuset)
Cons: We would have preferred a checkout time of 11:00 h. But we could stay there after 10:00 h and eat our breakfast.
Pros: Read above
Cons: What is there not to like? Its a lovely place with a Palace nearby where the Queen makes an occasional appearance during the changing of the guards, woods and gardens that are a pleasure to stroll through, and a dreamy lake at the far end
Pros: Great location,. Best service. Friendly place to remember for next year
Pros: Great staff, delicious breakfast, room met our needs & was reasonable in price, wonderful location in small town close to palace grouonds for walking. Fun to have other kids around and meet people who actually live in Denmark!
Cons: Would recommend adding dark liner to room curtains
Pros: We got a wonderful welcome by the staff, and they were quick to help us. The Hostel is situated in a wonderful area. We can warmly recommend this place.
Cons: Unfortunately some previous guests left some dishes in the public kitchen, so we didn't enjoy our cooking.
Pros: I loved the wonderful staff, the beautiful surroundings and the delicious breakfast! I'd recommend it to everybody and I'm definitely going back next year.
Cons: Closed in the reception from 12-15 :(
Cons: You have to make your own bed! Rooms are smelly and full of cobwebs. It is dirty! There is 1 shower and 1 toilet for 32 men! The shower is full of hair!!There are only bunk-beds. No TV in the rooms. It´s like your in the army! It really is a disgrace!!!
When you stay at Bed and Breakfast Birkerod in Birkerod, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Horsholm Kirke and Farum Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beds were OK.
Cons: Poor cleaning in room and bathroom
Located next to Vedbaek Harbour and the beach, this hotel offers free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and views of the Oresund Strait, the local neighbourhood or open green space. The terrace and garden provide a chance for reflection. The games room features table football, table tennis and a pool table. Offering direct connections to Copenhagen Airport, Vedbaek Station is only 400 m away. Copenhagen Golf Club is a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
Cons: Hotel is very dated now
Pros: The facility itself was nice, comfortable bed, decent room. I don't stay in hotels often but it was okay for the money
Cons: This is not in Copenhagen. I had to take the regional train to get there, almost an hour away from the airport. I was carrying a large backpack and a smaller one due to traveling around Europe for almost 3 weeks before arriving and was treated rather abruptly by the woman behind the desk. I got the feeling I was looked down upon. Then in the morning when I was settling my room tab she made a point to explain the currency I was getting back...also in a belittling fashion. Not necessary at all.
Cons: The rooms were gross. We walked in, they smelled, everything’s outdated, paint chips, rusted toilets, and when we got into bed at night there was ATON of someone else’s hair everywhere. When we took off the sheets the mattress pad was covered in yellow stains. They really need to put love and care into this place and work on guest experiences. The staff is nice enough but was eating a huge plate of food when we checked in. Just overall kinda gross experience.
Pros: Great value for money
Cons: Needs some updating
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Nothing available except breakfast.
Cons: Room 202 a little tired - the poor lighting (eco-friendly bulbs) did not help neither did the single bed which was of a put-you-up style and quality.
Cons: had to wait long before I could check in old bathrooms and other rooms Television not in the sleeping room, old type with long waiting time to Switch channels
Pros: The reception was fine, the room was OK (we have had better rooms at the Marina Hotel in the past! No view on Oeresund).
Cons: The bathroom is rather poor and in this case both toilet and washbasin did not evacuate properly.
Pros: It has good location and connection through public transportation. Easy to get to from CPH airport and city
Cons: When we arrived in the hotel, the booking.com reservation was not in their system. I had the confirmation printed out and hotel staff managed to arrange for a room even if hotel was fully booked, so thanks to them for that, but I wasn't very impressed with booking.com for that surprise. Hotel also has a mold problem. It was not in the rooms but as soon as you step in the front door, you know there is structural problems with the building.
Pros: definetely nothing besides the size of the rooms and the location for a visit to copenhagen
Cons: paper basket was not emptied during 4 days, rooms poorely cleaned, unfriendly and ignorant staff, non motivated unfriendly and "dirty" cook at barbecue, no recommendation at all
Pros: The hotel is situated by the sea and has a "marin tuch". Located between Luisiana and Bakken.
Cons: The rooms are not new and the hotel has a bit of the 70s left. The game room is not fun!
Pros: Practical and well functioning hotel with a positive and friendly atmosphere. Spacious and light rooms.
Pros: The location was what I needed.
Pros: It is near to my meeting place
Cons: The hotel is very old and need to be renewed. There is bad smell all over the hotel. The bathroom is not very clean. The Wi-Fi network signal strength is very poor and it is missing in some rooms.
Cons: Lots of Mosqitous
Pros: Hotel is conveniently located for those who have business or holiday in the Copenhagen area and who have their own car. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Hotel staff was providing service all right but without real interaction with the guests. Saying "goodbye" or something like that when someone leaves after a full week stay should not be too much trouble. Pillows were extremely soft and small.
Pros: Very friendly staff and relaxed common areas
