Pros: There is individual onsen and belcony in each room! And the staff are definitely passionate and helpful.
Cons: It is pity to many insects at the belcony and even rooms (it may be inevitable next to natural environment). And there is strange smell at the belcony. It is better to have facilities to expel insects.

Pros: This was a lovely experience. A delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, own private spa beside the verandah, spacious room and comfy traditional mats for sleep on the tatami floor. 9.0 Excellent
Pros: Onset bathroom is amazing. I can see the Mt Aso from bathroom and balcony. Serenity atmosphere.
Cons: Only has western cuisine restaurant in walking distance. Definitely for people who travelling by car. Suggest to reach the hotel before dark as the Road is quite dark and hardly to find the entrance with small hotel sign. The toilet is quite cold in Winter time as no warm ventilation. Suggest to provide option of breakfast for Japanese or Western style..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and big, and had a very large private onsen! Amazing mountain view from the balcony. The hosts were very nice, helping us with anything we needed. Breakfast was beyond perfect, changing each day. My wife is vegetarian so they made small perfect adjustments. Really the best hotel I've ever been to in japan, one of the highlights of my trip.
Cons: I don't think I can find something bad to say. But you have to get there by car, and the road is a bit dark at night. Also, a bit far from restaurants and stores.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel with an even more amazing private natural springs onsen in each room. The staff were very helpful, including assisting us with our bags. Savour the drive to the hotel also since the area is stunning and scenic. We really enjoyed our stay here and also the delicious and healthy breakfast. Can not fault it at all. The only tip I have is to arrive well before 5pm so that you can arrange dinner since venues close early in the mountain. The hotel was unable to book dinner for us as requested and we did not have access to the internet so only found out on arrival which required us to race to dinner elsewhere.

Pros: Spacy room with comfortable beds, sofa and table. Nice natural onsen close to the room just down the corridor. Very friendly receptionist - our shoes were prepared close to the heater in the morning - reeealy comfy! Thank you.
Cons: We did not have information about possible dinner through booking, which was shame. Looked great. Also, microwave accesible somewhere freely would be nice - we could use the one in the hotel's kitchen, so no problem really.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We came by bus from Kumamoto so the location just near the bus stop and by the start of the mountain trail was great. The room was spacious, the onsen beautiful, and there is a roof to watch the stars. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel, service attentive, worth recommending. Nice dinner and rich breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very big with 2 different area to sleep, either on the bed, either on the floor mattress. The decoration was cute and the onsen was very nice. You can either go for the public onsen (non-mixed) which is included In the price or get an access to the private onsen for an extra $15. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Staffs are very polite and cheerful. Food - dinner and breakfast. are decorated beautifully.
Cons: -There were hairs all over the floor in the onzen dressing room and also in the pond. -No drinking water in the onzen dressing room, customer have to buy water bottle at the reception only. -The room was unexpected tiny which was incomparable with the price I paid. About 35 sq.m. for 7 people...incredible. -I was charge for using onzen facility at 150 JPY/head.
7.9 Good
Pros: The couteous and helpful staff, the excellent service, the great food. I think they even washed my hired car for me in the evening. It was very helpful to have a kitchen staff who spoke Mandarin. It's easy to ask him for information and he was excellent in helping me communicate with other staff in the hotel.
Cons: If you haven't got any transport, it's probably not accessible to you. The property is in the mountains so it's nice and peaceful but no night life. Also the plumbing seems a bit ancient as I kept hearing the sound of the pipes when I was trying to sleep on the first night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Definitely need a car to get there, but the staff were super nice and helpful. The food was delicious, too!
