Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff of Maui Palms are amazing.
Cons: Not sure if it was the weather or the location but it seems relatively windy all the time down there, so couldn’t do much when I was there. But nothing to complain about as this is not Maui Palms fault
Pros: I felt welcome, thank you Mani for all help. Pool was nice, property was close to the beach. The beach was clean and beautiful , you could snorkeling there and you could see many fishes. The food was good and tasty, but expensive.
Pros: We loved our time at Maui Palms, the staff we super friendly and nothing was a problem. The food was great and the setting was perfect. Nice quiet and relaxing! We'll definitely be back.
Pros: We spend some great days at Maui Palms. It is a nice and quiet location, villa was clean with a great view. Very friendly staff with personal attention for the guests.
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay a wonderful experience. We miss them all already!
Pros: A beautiful hotel with an even more delightful staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need to have an unforgetable stay. The touch of having the choice of where to have dinner (in front of your bungalow, at the beach or the restaurant) was lovely and Mani coming around every evening to take orders was a great service.
Cons: It would have been a nice touch to get at least a small complementary bottle of water per day/per person. Also, having a price list for the mini bar would have been helpful. The hotel is in a vey windy location which makes relaxing by the pool difficult, but the view over the coral coast is amazing.
Pros: The staff was lively and super helpful. I got there at 11am and because the room was already free they let me check in early. Joe was very helpful and showed me how to kayak and snorkel.
Cons: I found the property a bit too small. The villas were a bit too close to each other. You can always see what everyone is doing, so it’s not the best place if you in need some privacy.
Pros: Love that the beach is right at the doorstep and you can just go snorkelling whenever. Staff are super friendly. It is a little more smaller and peaceful than the full blown resorts so nice if you are after serenity. Food was good but expensive. Bed was super comortable.
Cons: Price point just a little high too for what you get. The room is really nice for example but the shower could do with an update. Balcony set up could also be more comfortable. Location a bit far from nearest town so not many options to get a cheaper meal.
Located in Korotogo, Bedarra Beach Inn is by the ocean, a 3-minute drive from Kula Eco Park and 9 minutes from Lawaqa Park. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfasts were all good. The main meals also. I am not a lover of Pacific Food so it was hard for me to enjoy very much, but nevertheless the food was beautifully prepared and presented. Your staff were excvellent on EVERY level.
Cons: Because of my comments above. A more European cuisine would have been nice. The resort was beautifully presented, the gardens very tidy.
Pros: Bed is ok
Cons: What I didn't like, I choose the room with a double or queen bed with an extra single bed in just incase my grandkids wants to sleep with us, but they put us in the room just the queen bed in.
Pros: Everything was excellent, and we were so happy for the quietness.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
Pros: Great and clean hotel, the room was spacious. Great location infront of the ocean. The staff were friendly and the night entertainment was great
Cons: The safe didn't work
Pros: The staff is really friendly and very polite. The beach across the hotel was nice.
Cons: That you need to pay extra for WiFi service. It should be FREE!!!!! I was in room 23 and the shower has NO place to put anything but a piece of soap in the shower. I had to put my shampoo, my conditioner and my razor on the floor. They need to put somewhere on the wall to put toiletries. The shower door does NOT close all the way so therefore, the water goes out into the bathroom floor. They need to fix the door. The toilet room smelled bad, like sewage water. The room is next to the bar and it was a bit noisy.
Pros: The property was very nice and clean. Right across from the beach. Rooms are large and clean, pools were nice and all staff were amazing. I had a nice surprise at check in when they gave me a voucher for a free foot massage! The staff remembered our names and would always ask our plans for the day and give advice on what to do and where to eat. Food was nice there too. Would come back again and stay. Thanks for a great holiday!
Pros: A tropical breakfast came with our room and was lovely. The rooms were enormous - very comfortable. The staff were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our flights were delayed and we arrived after 10pm when the kitchen had closed ...but they had assumed we may not have eaten and gave us baskets of warmed fresh breadrolls and plate fulls of fresh tomato and cheese to take to our rooms when we booked in - a standard of personal friendly service rarely seen these days. On site spa was also amazing.
Pros: The property itself is okay. The transfer driver/tour guide Richard is the man! He stopped on the way to the property several times so we could get supplies as their are no shops in the vicinity.
Cons: Upon arrival we received no help whatsoever in taking our bags to our rooms which were on the second floor. My friends and I (group of 5) had requested 3 single beds in both rooms and got 2 rooms which had 1 king and 1 single in each. When I mentioned it after checking in they said the bed is big enough to share? Not the response we were after. Noticed that the king bed was actually 2 singles put together so not sure why they couldn’t accommodate what we had requested 2 months prior to arrival! Bathrooms need some work, they look old and tired. Apart from Richard (transfer driver) and the lady in the Spa, the staff are not very friendly, food at their restaurant was average, very long wait time. Would only recommend if you want cheap accommodation for a couple of days.
Pros: From Check-in until , (sadly) checkout. we loved our time at Bedarra, the staff were so helpful and friendly. Cleanliness and maintenance of the buildings and grounds was of an exceptional standard.
With a stay at Gecko's Resort in Cuvu, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute drive of Sigatoka Sand Dunes and Lawaqa Park. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff were great, rooms were clean and great location.
Cons: Howerver, WIFI was not included and when we paid for it the only way to connect is for you to go outside. Have TV in the room but it doesn't work. While shangri la, 250m from Gecko's resort have all the channels and WIFI included.
Pros: the cooked breakfast provided was great thankyou
Cons: we enjoyed our stay thankyou
Pros: Good friendly staff
Cons: Boring. Nothing much to do.
Pros: Welcoming the guests in to the Hotel, friendly staff, comfortable bed / clean room, every night entertainments, foods, swimming pool, handicrafts stall ,
Pros: Very quiet location and love the spacious rooms.
Pros: I love it!!! Staff were all very lovely!!! Treated us like family from the day we arrived! Also you have to try Sam's special cocktail!!! Food was amazing!!! Will definitely come back to stay!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Pros: Everything about our stay here was great. No complaints.
Pros: LOVED the scallops! Food was good I only wish I had the lobster. Watching the fire dance during dinner was really cool. They even gave a special performance for the newly weds which we didn’t expect and was really nice! I noticed people from other resorts came and dined here which was cool. Food was affordable. Staff were great. Super friendly and very helpful. They were very attentive and would greet me everyday which was super nice. Housekeepers were very lovely! Rooms were very spacious! Went to other resorts to visit family and compared to ours theirs was much smaller, so very happy with that. We got free water in our fridge on our first day which totally beats getting charged double for whatever you drink from their minibar. Rooms had aircon which did wonders! I only wish I had known about what else Gecko had going on, that was my fault didn’t read that booklet/folder they had in the room and I had checked in late so I just wanted to go straight into my room. Ohh and the iced mocha frappe was real good!!
Cons: Wish the pool was 24hours
Pros: Room was fine. Staff was very sweet.
Cons: The mosquitoes made it miserable. Yes, I understand the hotel can't control mosquitoes. Why have fish ponds with standing water?
When you stay at Tambua Sands Beach Resort in Korolevu, you'll be on the beach and 11 minutes by car from Kula Eco Park. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, a computer station, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was beautiful.
Cons: The bathroom was run down. food not that great and no value for the money. It took three full days before anyone asked if I needed anything or if everything was OK. Isolated location. Very tight with replacing towels.
Pros: Liked the beach at low tide, snorkeling at high tide, enjoyed the ambiance of the accommodation.
Cons: The pool wasn't great.
Pros: The location
Cons: Noice from the road. Signs of delapitating.
Pros: Loved it all , the staff the food , the lagoon , the bure . Everything was awesome , the weather was great everyday . Highly recommend.
Cons: Everything was great.
Pros: Wonderful family resort. Located on a beautiful sandy beach with a fabulous marine reserve with awesome snorkelling. Our girls loved their time at Tambua. Staff so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a chilled out family holiday.
Pros: Position...Position ....Position ! Couldn't stay any closer to the beach in a Bure without getting your feet wet walking out the door. Food was good and reasonably priced ,booze was a bit pricey but it is is at most places. Staff were very friendly and happy, and hey why wouldn't they be, as for most of them the commute to work is a walk along the beach from their village close by !
Cons: Nobody to climb the coconut trees to get drinking nuts for us
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, really nice.
Cons: We didnt have transfer car as requested on the website
Pros: Hats off to all the staff. They all smile and are polite and helpful if you give them the chance. The hospitality industry is brutal if you don’t start them off on the right foot forward. Snorkeling is really quite good compared to other resorts, especially when it’s walk straight out the Bure door down onto the beach. Start snorkelling 2-3 hours each side of high tide. Good variety of coral and fish from 1/3 to 2/3 out to the reef surf. Not many take the opportunity when we were there to snorkel. Can book a night snorkel there too for$20.
Cons: Came to Tambua Sands 1st time 3 yrs ago. Had a good site manager back then, and he endeavoured to put some money back into the facility. This time round have another manager and things look to have slipped. Hot water system completely stopped suppling any water 2 days from the end of our 7 night stay. Cold showers.... oh well. The Bure (#14) was stripped to its basics (Don’t know about the others). There was a Bible in the side draw at least, but absolutely no information book about the resort, (you know, the ones that tell you all about the place, do’s and dont’s, menu etc). Had to get hair dryer from the office. No umbrellas, as it was rainy 2/3 of the time. No covered walkway to the restaurant so umbrella would have been really handy. Thanks to the guy at the front desk for lending us his one for the day. Wife wasn’t impressed with the linen situation as it didn’t look like the’d replaced the worn sheets in a long time. Poor cleaners resorted to ripping old towels in half for door mats. But don’t let all this put you off. As a 2 star it’s a good value deal, but just my main gripe would have to be the hot water issues. We were lucky back 3 years ago that we didn’t loose the hot water. A dribble was better than none. I hate to be a winge, but in this case I’m sure things could be better, and hope they do, cause the place has got good potential.
Pros: It is a small resort so it has almost a family feel to it. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are always willing to lend a helping hand. The location is fabulous with the bures being right on the beach. You can lie in your bed and watch the waves braking over the reef. My daughter liked the hammocks under the trees on the beach. Great for relaxing. The grounds are very well kept. The food is reasonably priced. It's a great location for snorkelling with children.
Cons: Overall, the resort is somewhat tired. It certainly could do with a cash injection to upgrade the bures' interiors and in particular the linen e.g. all our pillows had a musky smell. Also, if you pay by foreign debit/credit card you are charged an extra 3% of the total amount. This was a surprise when paying for the room on arrival.
Beachouse is located on the main island of Viti Levu, in an 8-hectare coconut plantation that is bordered by a secluded white sandy beach. It offers an outdoor pool, Fiji massage services and free WiFi access. Also included is free continental breakfast and afternoon tea daily for guests to enjoy. Nadi is within a 2-hour drive of this resort. Guest rooms are fitted with ceiling fans to ensure good ventilation. A mosquito net is provided in all rooms. Guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfast. The staff at the tour desk can assist with arranging for inland kayaking, diving trips and island transfers. Guests have free use sea kayaks. Complimentary yoga sessions are also available for guests to enjoy. Other facilities at Beachouse include a beach volleyball court on site and satellite TV in the common room. The Coconut café serves meals by the poolside. A selection of local and western dishes are served for lunch and dinner. Beachouse is 80 km from Suva and 100 km from the Nadi Airport.
Pros: The dreamy outdoor shower. Yoga class every day looking out over the ocean. Plenty of hammocks to nap around in all day. Free kayak use. Clean facilities. Beautiful beach location and surrounding gardens.
Cons: Some of the staff weren’t as friendly as the smaller resorts/the young boys would flirt over the top to try and get you to sign up to activities. There’s nothing else to do around once you leave the resort so it’s easy for them to over charge on some of the activities, for example $180 for an island day trip
Pros: Good breakfasts plus other meals were nice and reasonably priced Good location - easy for busses Good areas to chill Good wifi Nice rooms and very clean Outdoor gym
Cons: Some activities didn't seem to happen e.g the crafty ones
Pros: The location, The activities ( with fare price for most of them), straight on the beach ( and beautiful!) Free yoga in the morning Nice place to meet people.
Cons: First complain in 5 years around the world: One pretty bad experience: you DO NOT move people belonging from one room to another one without asking or informing the guest first. This is bad organisation and not professional at all. And you move all my stuff into a mess!! Plus most of the staff ( not all but most) don't event look at you when you talk to them. They do the job on the strict minimum. Rude. And just to say it all, as I'm writing this review anyway: poor vegetarian, forget about the food. Dahl is good but other options are few( can have better surprise for diner as it's different every day but mainly the food stay very average on taste)! ( And yes vegetarian don't eat veggie burger everyday!! Dorms can be very very noisy. Not the establishment fault, just some non respectful people who think they can just continue the party in front of the dorms in the middle of the night ( you ear absolutely everything like if you were in your neighbors room! ) Be aware
Pros: Great facilities, friendly staff and many activities to join throughout the day Very relaxing entertainment: bar, swimming pool, long chairs, hammocks, swing and right next to the beach! It’s about 1.5-2hrs from Nadi by express bus or taxi but if you have enough days it’s worth it:)
Cons: No wifi in mixed dorm room
Pros: Great hard foam beds Private garden bathrooms great - hot water was limited though, seemed to cut out after 2-5mins Restaurant menu had great variety every night - bring you own salt though Free coffee and scones in the afternoon was a nice touch and a good snack time Range of activities daily run by good people allowing you to do as much or as little as you wanted
Cons: Was only given one towel on arrival, considering it a beach resort and I had an en-suite too this meant I had to use my clothes as a floor towel in the bathroom, and use a sandy towel after showering, I was told more towels had to be gotten from the cleaners and it took me two days to track them down - in the end I just stole the towels I needed from the trolley The shutters - which are great for adjustable breeze/temp control - also make your room see through, if you room is near a pathway, something to keep in mind
Pros: Great property and location on the Coral Coast of FIJI, with awesome staff. Look forward to my next visit.
Pros: Location is approx. 2hr bus ride from Nadi - Very cheap if you take the bus or about a hundred $ to taxi Breakfast was simple but enjoyable Coffee and scones for afternoon everyday Free daily yoga Very friendly staff and locals
Cons: Some of the meals were not what we were expecting - Still nice though Bring your own snorkel to save $15 per day for hire Reef was quite bleached off the beach from the place but fish were still pretty
With a stay at deVos - The Private Residence in Korolevu, you'll be on the beach, and 17.4 mi (28.1 km) from Sigatoka Sand Dunes and 10.3 mi (16.6 km) from Kula Eco Park. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours, and free self parking is available onsite.
With a stay at Wellesley Resort in Namaqumaqua, you'll be on the waterfront, and 5.7 mi (9.1 km) from Vunanui Bay and 7.2 mi (11.5 km) from Namatakula Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great for a quiet and tranquil setting.! Pool, gardens and beach area was great.
Cons: However, it’s tired looking, poor wifi reception, no activity (kayaking?) except a massage, outside shower was not great aesthetically, lots of mosquitoes and flies in the dining area - burn lemongrass guys
Pros: Staff are amazing, breakfast is great, the size of the resort makes it super friendly when interacting with other guests (only 15 rooms), beautiful tropical gardens and really nice beach to enjoy the lagoon.
Cons: Need water activities on site (diving & escorted snorkeling), more equipment, a better range of dining options for dinner throughout the week. Rooms desperately need updating (bathrooms are very tired), linen needs replacing and each room needs milk & a well stocked mini bar as there aren’t any other options available for snacks outside of meal times.
Pros: MY STAY AT WELLESLEY WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FROM THE AIRPORT PICK UP BY NAL TO THE AIRPORT DROP OFF. MARY & TALECIA WERE THE BEST HOSTS AND MADE MY TRIP WORTH IT. THE FOOD WAS TOP NOTCH & MOST OF ALL THE WHOLE RESORT WAS RELAXING & JUST WHAT I NEEDED. I WILL BE STAYING HERE FROM NOW ON WHEN VISITING FIJI.... THANK YOU SO MUCH WELLESLEY RESORT IT WAS A PLEASURE TO STAY WITH YOU GUYS, EVERYONE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND
Cons: I LOVED EVERYTHING COULDNT FAULT THE RESORT EXCEPT THE SCARY FROGS ON THE FOOTPATHS
Pros: Excellent Cooking!!!everything was very delicious. The reef is absolutely amazing. Location Top if you're looking for relax.
Cons: kayaks service not available! And there were just a few snorkeling equipment, so sometimes was not possible to do it. One day there was not fish at all for dinner.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff; we were greeted as being part of the family, our names were never forgotten and they couldn't do enough for us. Meals were of a high standard
Cons: The facility is 16 to 18 years old and could do with some renovations to modernise room facilities eg bathroom/toilet facilities in our unit were "tired" (wall tiles missing, insect screen has holes in it, pedestal is outdated etc). Having said that, we were comfortable within the accommodation. Reticulated water was not potable and drinking water was supplemented each day with 2 x 2lt bottled water.
Pros: Very good breakfast, good coffee. Nice pool if a little cool.. Nice dining room great view of (well kept) garden and lagoon. Enjoyable beach walks. Food was good overall with reasonable choices.
Cons: There were no kayaks, very disappointing. We have visited Fiji (resorts) a number of times and look for some basics before we book such as a good size pool, beach walks, sea views, a lagoon and.. kayaks. Early morning kayaking on a calm lagoon is a special thing we value highly on our Fiji holidays. Wellesley web site confirmed they were available, they were not. The on site manager said new ones were ordered and dident know when they would arrive. Our room was good except for the "sliding" door into toilet and shower, it dident slide because it was not fitted to the bracket but just sat on the floor, we had to lift and bounce it along the floor to close it, which was tiresome and difficult.
Pros: Location was remote but amazing. Food was unbelievably delicious and staff were super friendly.
Cons: I liked it all.
Pros: Very isolated , beautiful scenery and relaxing.
Cons: The staffs are very friends and the food is very delicious
Pros: The team at Wellesley are just wonderful, so friendly and caring. The food is delicious and was something we looked forward to everytime we ate. We loved the peaceful, cosy feel of the grounds and the way the resort is set out. We liked that it is tucked in the jungle, well away from the busy main road, with a private beach. Wellesley is tranquil in an intimate setting,
Cons: We were sad that we had to go home! but we would have liked to use a kayak, and the snorkel gear needs updating (a note for the owners).
When you stay at Mango Bay Resort in Namatakula, you'll be on the waterfront and 5 minutes by car from Namatakula Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff were super friendly including owner and all who were so kind to our little baby. There was some live entertainment because of Fiji Day (?), which made a great atmosphere. Lovely food and drink, plus the view of the bay when waking up from the Bure was stunning. Really great for our first night in Fiji!! Thanks
Pros: Despite falling frass, we really enjoyed our stay. Is very quiet and relaxing place. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast without protein but you can order extra. Also, the resort has own garden with vegetable and herbs so every time was fresh. Food was very nice and the price was reasonable (we can compare with another resorts). Drinking water was available from the barrel. Previous reviews: We read all previous reviews and really don't understand why some visitors complain to the resort about small stupid things. We spent six nights here and definitely WOULD COME BACK!
Cons: Frass falling down from the roof on the bed. It should be fixed.
Pros: The staff were really friendly and the common areas like the bar, pool and restaurant were great
Cons: The garden bures need some work. They’re dark dank and smell of mould. There’s little to no natural light and the water in the bure was brown and unpleasant to wash in
Pros: Location. Love the location. Hopefully new management can take it to a better tourist destination again.
Cons: I've stayed in this place before. Refurbishment required to take it back to a standard worth what I paid for.
Pros: The beach.
Cons: The pillow and sheets needed a good clean or replacing
Located in Deuba, Waidroka Bay Resort is a 1-minute drive from Waidroka Bay Dock and 11 minutes from Vunanui Bay. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff welcomes us with a meal after day of travelling.
Cons: Charged us just to take us up to road with muddy track to meet driver should be guest courtesy, over rated poor quality, not worth ocean view room charges, not refundable, wouldn’t recommend.
Pros: Bed wasn’t comfortable. Food was good. Access to surf breaks was excellent. Pool was cold on cool days. Very friendly staff made the place.
Pros: good food the home made bread they served with dinner could be served for breakfast
Cons: The food was very ordinary the place is very tired
Pros: The cabin. The management and staff.
Cons: Tv in the room. Water supply that doesn’t turn brown when it rains. Real milk in the fridge. Stocked mini bar in the room Only had dinner once. But it was not a good experience. Fish in coconut. First time it was stone cold (and over cooked). Second time hot and over cooked). Fish dishes on an island should be exceptional.
Pros: Amazing Staff. Tasty Food. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent Diving. (Shark dive was a once in a lifetime experience). Very professional dive school and Christine was one of the best dive instructors I have seen (and I have seen a lot)
Cons: Not much.
Pros: the staff is very friendly.
Cons: the food is terrible. the prices for surfing and food were way too much money. Their website is very deceptive!!! This is NOT a "surf resort". This is a dive resort with some surfing. This is not the place to go if you only want to surf.
Pros: The staff was excellent. Ellie, one of the staff there, taught us some Fijian language and took us on a plant walk around the resort. The food was excellent. I'm an ovo-vegetarian with a dairy allergy and they catered to my needs and made me awesome meals. The room was very cute and set the tropical scene well.
Cons: Perhaps this is my fault and I didn't research the resort well enough, but unless you are a diver or surfer, there wasn't much to do. It was very isolated and was located down a rough 4K dirty road (that we bottomed out on in our rental car) with no trails and no beach. There were kayaks we could have taken out, but due to the rain we ended up spending a day just hanging out. We did leave to go to Suva (1.5 hrs away) and see some sights there. Also, I felt like the place was a little run down. Perhaps it's just due to being offish season? Mildew was on some of the outdoor furniture. I got some on some of my clothing. So, if you are looking for a place to snorkel, walk on the beach, etc, perhaps looks elsewhere. If you want to dive or surf, this place is probably perfect for you.
When you stay at The Beachouse in Korolevu, you'll be on the beach and within a 5-minute drive of Namatakula Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
