Pros: Outdoor swimming pool and spa were much better than anticipated. Amazingly the brochure pictures didnt do the hotel justice so it was a very nice surprise. We had a queen sized bed which was spacious and comfortable. The room was clean and very functional with lovely views over the beach and lagoon. Staff were all lovely and all services were great. The restaurant offered a reasonably priced and very tasty menu which we ate at one night because we couldn't find parking at the port. Had a mud bath treatment at the thalasso spa that was very nice and relaxing.

5.3 Okay
Pros: The hotel is well situated on the seafront, the accomodation is homely, and the staff efficient and welcoming
Cons: lack of car parking
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was particularly helpful and friendly, the main reason why I would definitely recommend this hotel and even go back to it myself. The position was fantastic because of the stunning view over the sea/beach and the proximity to aminities such as shops, restaurants, old city but added to that parking was free outside the hotel , only on that part of the long promenade! a bonus!
Cons: just the price of the room! despite the fact that the hotel has only the standard of a (good!) 3 star hotel, the price for our room only was way beyond our holiday budget. In fact we only booked it as it was fully booked everywhere else in the vincinity when we made our last minute booking! We would definitely welcome and use any special offers in the future

Cons: No bar or evening restaurant

10.0 Excellent
Pros: From start to finish our stay was great, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the terrace of our room had an incredible view over the gorgeous beach. Private secure parking was a real plus and good value at €11/day. The room and all the public areas were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was continental style but with the added bonus of high quality locally sourced produce. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ideal Seafront position
Cons: No minuses nice friendly Hotel
5.5 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: management attitude particularly to booking.com guests
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the hotel but I was surprised that we had to pay extra to use the general spa facilities. This meant that we did not use the spa which was a shame. I also though breakfast was included and was not advised it wasn’t on check in so we had breakfast then I paid after which I wasn’t aware
4.3 Okay
Pros: Just the location on the promenade across from the ocean - not much else!
Cons: Attitude of Manager Simon was disgusting (other Reception staff were polite but clearly placed in difficult position by seniors/owners). Stayed for 2 nights over New Year and checked on arrival we could have drinks at the hotel bar on New Year's Eve. Were told yes! Came back from our evening meal on NYE, tried to order drinks but were told (eventually) they would not serve us as we were not dining there!! Total disbelief!!! Their 'lounge' as they call it is actually just an area of tables around the pool (the water of which could have been warmer) and where we had had drinks no problem the night before once we returned to the hotel. Completely refused to serve us including the children despite our complaint & Manager wouldn't come out and speak to us. Had to go to our rooms with no drink at NY - really spoiled our trip which was meant to be a special birthday treat too. Simon did at last knock on our room door and tried to say there had been a misunderstanding - definitely not, that was an excuse as he still said it wasn't possible to serve us drinks downstairs! Totally unbelievable.... ruined our stay, and appalling customer service. Considering this was 4* it was never worth the money, rooms were quite small and no milk provided with the pathetic attempt at tea/coffee in the room. Don't waste your money here would be my advice - they promote themselves as being part of the "La Collection" of Chateaux & Hotels, but am guessing this is just something you pay to join as the standard of facilities and customer service really lets this place down. Hence we would certainly not recommend to others after our experience there. A real disappointment.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is perfect - 2 steps away from the beach
Cons: 1. They make me pay extra for the spa even though the room costs more than 200 Euro per night. I was surprise because I wouldn’t think this is what a decent hotel will do. 2. A few days before I stayed in the hotel, I saw in booking.com that the same room costs 40% less than what I would pay and I couldn’t cancel. That’s just not nice.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the SPA equipments are modern and and very welcome. Diner was tasty. Room with sea view and terrasse was really good and quiet
Cons: it is not cheap
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The best I've seen in a while. Great facilities and delicious food

Pros: Great location near the train station, very helpful staff.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: I book one double bed and a single bed room for 2 adults and 4 years old my daughter and 1 year old son, on booking.com hotel policy it says clearly Can use an existing bed free of charge for kids up to 12 years but the hotel charge me €40 extra for my son even he is using existing bed. i dont mind paying €40 but its a ripoff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Small Paper Bags supplied to let you take something to eat after Breakfast.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the location close to train station
Cons: - The water pressure of shower was so low that it was not easy washing my hairs - The water shower became so hot or so cold immediately, that it gave you a shock - Not a good breakfast, no variety -The spoon and glasses were dirty and I didn't like to use them. Breakfast (one type of cheese, 1 type of ham ,not enough pain and viennois for everybody )-paying 10 euros for wasn't fair for this breakfast -Nobody was present for serving the breakfast and water and milk pot was empty - No view on the sea , although it was shown in hotel photos in booking.com

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bike Friendly Staff
Cons: I am pretty easy going but some people might complain about the size of the shower and my room was next to the stairwell and some people thumped down the stairs. I get over issues pretty quick
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: No air conditioning
7.0 Good
Pros: Near the beach, secure parking and the decor of the hotel. The dining room was great!
Cons: The car park was locked at night and I’m unsure if you could have used your car in an emergency.

Pros: Staff were lovely and helpful
Cons: Decor appalling
10.0 Excellent

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The ceiling in the breakfast room! Efficient check out service.
Cons: Hideous decor, very tired furniture and facilities, horrible shower, a/c not working, bad service at reception on checkin in... I could go on... Breakfast was miserable.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff are very friendly and the location is great
Cons: The bathroom smelled a bit like mould and everything in the room seemed a bit old......and maybe not the cleanest. Its fine if you want something budget and you're only going to your room to sleep.
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean (but small) room.
Cons: Breakfast very basic and didn’t look/taste overly fresh. Husband owner not impolite but not the friendliest either! Advised to park 400m away as hotel car park full (probably my own fault for not booking ahead). Didn’t have time to use so facilities.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was fine with a decent shower and was clean and tidy. You get what you pay for and this place is very reasonably priced. The Restaurant actually looked Ok but we did not use it
Cons: This hotel is rather odd, and the decoration is appalling. The room was no 17. A mixture of pink and red walls that looked like the cutting in was done by a five year olds playgroup. Some odd 'props' about the place. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbours both sides and above.

Pros: For the category, it was exceeding any expectation. The owner is someone who went really over the top to make us feel welcome and home. The best is that he did it sincerely, without even prompting. If there is one reason to lodge here, it's definitely the genuine support you will get from him. To be clear, you are not lodging at the Alcazar, but you are not paying that price either.

Cons: Our room was small and at the front overlooking busy road junction which was disappointing as we requested a quiet room.
6.3 Good
Pros: good breakfast, friendly host, quiet room.
Cons: I doubt this was the best room as you had to climb over the toilet to access the shower. no towel rail.
7.0 Good
Pros: The owner is very kind. Always ready to help. Location is good.
Cons: We had a studio with 2 small rooms and a tiny kitchen. Decoration is a bit old bathrooms are small.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: a great location friendly owners perfect stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel in away from the main town which can be reached via a small ferry [two minutes] for 1.20 euros. We were there for the start of the Golden Globe race and the ferry ran until midnight. You are in walking distance of the main harbour and entrance. Good restaurants nearby. The host is lovely he is very helpful and knows what is going on. You can easily walk to the beach or there is a lido pool should you prefer to swim in the sea without the waves. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast is good in a light clean dining area. You have a code to get in when the reception is closed and a key to the entrance from the car park.
Cons: Okay so yes the bathroom is quite quirky and you do need to be fit to get in and out of the shower. But the shower is good and the hot water was always available.

Cons: No parking on site, and the parking was not explained properly on arrival I.e. free bus from the partying facilities nearby, so a lot of time was wasted
