The view (7th floor) and having a room service meal on the balcony. Great location, very convenient for the airport.
The service, the cleanliness and the location Nothing
The balcony!! and the view was magnificent. Finding a way in from the road (all the gates were shut from the road which caused much confusion)
Location. Good size room with view of harbour
The staff was helpful and accommodating, flexible (for example, allowing us to park on the site even though the lot was booked full up), and the internet connection was excellent. They did not clarify when I checked in that the breakfast was included. The website did not clarify that I needed to reserve a parking spot, so when we arrived the lot was booked up. However, the staff allowed us to park so it turned out to be ok.
The location which was walking distance from both the beach, harbor, and bus stop. Most of the staff were also friendly and helpful. The water pot was dirty, and we did not realize until we made a tea and drunk some of it... sorta ruined the first impression.
Great views, easy parking, great value, very pleased
Very nice staff and the location of the hotel is superb.
Location of hotel, cleanliness, the cot provided for our daughter was in very good condition, very comfortable hotel Breakfast seemed rather pricey!
nice location (view upon the port) and very good comfort
It was a very welcoming hotel and we felt comfortable from the start. Rooms were excellent, patio area very relaxing and a superb breakfast. Charging 10 euros for parking, which they only do in July and August
Swimming Food of restraunt was not delicous for me.
Affordable price, parking, good location; good buffet breakfast Poor choices on the restaurant menu; very mediocre food.
staff were excellent frm arrival to departure
room spacious, and well equipped large parking even though expensive (not included in the rate) the pool was always overcrowded
hotel room recently renovated. green surroundings food was medium quality
The location and view over the golf course Breakfast was rather disorganised and cooked foods kept running out. As a none cheese/cold continental meat consumer I feel that 12 euros in addition to the room charge was too much for cereal/bread/pastries - however I would probably stay again if in the area.
walking distance to golf course! La Grande Motte is not the most pictoresque location to be! ugly 70s architectural monster complex...
Wev are very pleased. In general very polite and helpsom staff, nice rooms and facilities.
sprendid sea view, friendly hotel staffs and nicest restaurant. any how,at this price of hotel ,this hotel is assurdedly one of the best hotels we have ever stayd in the world for those 40 years time! nothing can be said agaist this hotel ,perfect!
This is our second visit to this hotel, and it will certainly not be our last. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, not to mention the location, make this a wonderful place to stay. Real value for money. We shall be going again in the Spring - no need to look for other hotels - this is the one for us!
The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and their willingness to be flexible in meeting all our needs. A small point about the jacuzzi, which is really an excellent 2/3 person at a time jacuzzi, was the amount of chlorine it contained - a little less would be a big help.
Excellent location. Very clean. Restaurant / drinks service during day not always available. Always had to go find someone at front office. Expected better service
Friendly helpful staff. Healthy varied choices for breakfast. Wonderful position.
General atmosphere and friendliness of staff Breakfast began too late (07.45 hrs)
Good location, helpful staff and great value Broken toilet seat, poor baguettes
we had a nice sea view; the location is convenient for the parc des expositions which is only 8 miles from the hotel. My wife and I were looking forward to a walk on the beach, followed by a nice supper. Shortly after arriving, we asked to have supper in the hotel, and we were told that the hotel was too busy. They were also too busy to provide an early breakfast before the exhibition which started at 8. am.
Great room (superior room) - great view - great food - nice spa and jacuzzi - nice staff It would have been better if we could have had dinner in our room. It would also be better to be able to use the spa in the morning time before checking out.
Very service minded staff. Excellent location. Children friendly. The english knowledge for some in the reseption is very poor. Difficult to communicate if you cannot speek french. Limited brekfast ( served only at room ).
Hotel staff was very helpful for a language deficient traveler
service could use a clock in my room. i forgot mine.
The hotel is right beside the sea/marina. Our room looked (as all rooms do) out over the pool and marina. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Recption had good english. The hotel lovely and private and about 300m walk from a selection of resturants and soft sand beach. The only draw back was a very small toilet in our room.
breakfast on our own terrace, friendly staff
Excellent location with great restaurant next door.
Clean and cherrful, a lot of light, rooms with verandas are nice The hotel was perfect. La Grande Motte is a relatively recent "mushroom town", all modern.
Staff was friendly, even let us check in 4 hrs early, hotel was quiet and clean, breakfast was ok for the money (eur 11,50 pp), hotel offers a private parking area for eur 9 - even tho you don't really need one, there are plenty places to park in the area. Free WiFi and safe. Design is a bit outdated, like everything in La Grande-Motte. The Pool is small. Beaches aren't too far but still quite a walk.
We liked this hotel very much. Free Wireless-LAN, free public parking behind the hotel, free small refrigerator and safe in the room, room with reasonable size and balcony, approx. 10-12 minutes walk from the wide nice beaches of La Grande Motte and the center, very nice and helpful receptionists, We would defintely recommend the Hotel Europe! We liked this hotel very much. Only 1 minor point: When we arrived, we were told that the breakfast is 7,70 eur but then charged 10 eur (seemed to be a misunderstanding). But to be honnest: No really big issue. We would defintely recommend the Hotel Europe!
The suite and the terrace were spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe space, the position was great, and the kitchen was well appointed. But best was that when they learned from a friend who stays there often that it was my birthday, they put a nice bottle if wine in the suite and wrote a card to me. We gave the wine to the receptionist because she was very helpful, and we had to fly out the next morning, so no time to drink it. No complaints
close proximatey to other attractions didnt realise that it was a fold up bed. not at all comfortable
excellent facilities, very helpful and outgoing staff, convenient location, affordable price
very good location, in the heart of the city Seti-bed, not very comfortable
modern, brand new furniture, a lot of space, in the city centre
It is not really a hotel but an appartment with all the facilities of a hotel. For us, having two babies with us, it was super. They have a parking garage, breakfast service, laundry service etc etc. Everything you need is their and the staff was very helpfull.
It is good value for money. The location is very good. It is reasonably clean and the staff is very helpful. Fotos are far from reality: rooms are rather old and furniture and decoration have little to do with what you actually get. Nevertheless I would stay there again if I go back to Montpellier.
price late check in
Location was excellent. Tram stop (Leon Blum) was at the front door
The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was nice to have as well
Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent location, lovely views of the main square.
The location of this hotel, right on the Place Comedie, is great. For bars/culture/shopping to be right on your doorstep is just what you want in a city break. The car park is very close, under the Place, which was handy. The staff recommended an excellent local restaurant for our first night, Les Bains, two minutes walk from the hotel, and the restaurant next door to the hotel also seemed excellent, though we did not manage to eat there. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel, and rooms are a little tired. Also, being close to the nightlife has the drawback of being noisy.
The location The hotel's lack of help and flexibility when we wanted to change our booking to a different date. This was due to the uncertainty of our flight departures due to the French strikes. the hotel did not try to accommodate our request in any way. we were not trying to cancel, merely rebook for another date
location, style, grandeur, service. lack of pool (not expected in a periodic building), noisy air conditioning, lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Montpellier is a very fascinating city and Newhotel du Midi with his amazing location just on Place de la Comedie is the perfect place if you want to discover the city center. In the bathroom there weren't either windows or air condition.
Excellent location next to the main square, within easy walking distance from railway station and all sights. Comfortable bed and pillows. Double glazing blocks out the noise from the square. Clean. Spacious, uncluttered room. Pleasant staff. Interesting original decoration. Decent breakfast, although you could get something cheaper and less substantial from a nearby café. Slow to repair things like lightbulbs. Very little natural light in the public areas (but that's just a personal preference).
Good facilities and friendly staff excellent location
The location was very central , very convenient to the railway station , and the frequent tram service . great for a short city break Breakfast should be included in the price , dining room not very impressive
It's well located The hotel is not family friendly. We were using a pram for our three month old baby and the stairs in front of the hotel make it difficult to circulate. The hotel is on pedestrian area, so we had to carry all our luggage and baby from the underground parking nearby (which also does not seem to have an elevator) to the hotel. The hotel staff did not offer to help, not even once, even though they were not busy at the time. The staff seemed quite inexperienced and was not very forthcoming in providing information about the location. If you have family, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. There are others nearby, as well-situated and cheaper.
The hotel was centrally located in the town square and close to the tram and parking. Great location
The leisure and spa facilities at the hotel were excellent. Great staff - extremely friendly and helpful! There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Great seaside The food (dinner) was not so good and the price of it was too high
Superb location with private pool and only a few steps from a white sandy beach.
Hotel plays second fiddle to the spa
stylish hotel interior, perfect location near beach and restaurants, good swimming pool, sauna and hamman sauna and hamman closed on sunday, expensive spa treatments, basic bit more oldfashioned standard room furniture compared to stylish rest
Clean modern room with facilities & patio view exactly as advertised.Helpful & unobtrusive staff. Lots of facilities & amenities available but these seemed to be part of the Spa resport & appeared to be only available at extra cost.Unclear on what was and what was not available to guests as part of the hotel cost.Because of this I did not feel I used all hotel facilities.
Kindness of the staff. Very close to the beach. Room clean and perfumed.
Abundant parking outside, no need for € 10,- hotel parking. Just a small walking distance from beachside promenade should be mentioned as a pre. Breakfast buffet splendid and breakfast terrace with pool and seaside view very pleasing. The Hotel is named:"Thalasso Mediterranee" and that name is on the Hotel. Les Corallines is nowhere to be found. Restaurant prices are not compatible with the quality of the food. Quality of food at seaside restaurants also very poor.
From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful we had to leave our vehicle 3kms away as we arrived the day the Tour de France was arriving in town and all roads were blocked. so we had to leg it to the hotel. The hotel room was large and we had a balcony with a view of the swimming pool and the sea. We even had a view fom the bathtub. The swimming pool was the best I have ever expereinced, it was enormous and just the right temperature a pleasure to swim in. Nothing all good
Very good hotel, but could be better for just a few simple changes. Location is perfect. Pool is wonderful. Rooms are nice with a good balcony.Staff are friendly. Lots and Lots of restaurants near by and a very big Sunday market. Only 41 rooms so hotel never to busy. Negative comments below are advisory only. Restaurant is ok but a little expensive. Breakfast is simple and fine but also expensive. Finding the hotel is not straight forward and getting into their car park can be difficult.
Location, location, location- easy access to shopping places, beaches, airport and to the city of Montpellier. Very quite and walking distance to many places. For golfers, excellent place to stay, my bedroom was rignht on the golf course. The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent english which was a plus. I will definitel stay here when I go back to Montpellier. Just remember that the refrigerator is inside the closet. We did not know until the last day.
Quiet location, staff helpful, nice room
The swimming pool, the breakfast and the room cleaning
Did not like much. not very good. very poor maintained rooms.
calm and warm the room was a little too small, no place to go aroud the bed
The staff are welcoming and friendly and the swimming pool is excellent. The location of the hotel is good for shops and the beach.
For a 3-star, it was an excellent choice. Very clean and comfortable. As we came into the lobby, the heavy smoke was disturbing and uncomfortable.
I would have liked knowing that the hotel accepted dogs in rooms. There was one barking 2 rooms away from mine in the afternoon as its owners were out.
The room was quiet, reasonably clean and confortable. The staff was amiable. The plumbing of the entire hotel is very noisy, especially at night. The breakfast is poor and very expensive. The bar is badly stocked and also very expensive.
tea and coffee kit in room you have to reserve the parking before
Location and decent size room
the personal attention of the housekeeping supervisor
The hotel was quite clean and situated near the center of the city The rooms on the street were rather noisy
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Parking was very convenient and reasonably priced. Room clean, bit small but perfectly adequate. With a child it would have been nice if there were cereals for breakfast.
within walking distance of town centre and close to tram. Tea making facilities in room. No charge for motor bike parking. Convenient location to find from motorway
Close to trams and center of town.
The hotel staff were excellent, helpful and professional; the rooms, modern, clean and very comfortble and the location really good to walk to the antigone shopping centre and the centre of town. I would recommend this superb, value for money hotel.
Nice, comfortable rooms and good price. Breakfast area looks a bit cheap.
The rooms were excellent and the location perfect for a city break. Staff were extremely helpful.
Very friendly and helpful; clean rooms; great location.
Walking distance to the beach and main attractions in town, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice little open air courtyard. "sea side room" was misleading as it had no "view". So technically it is correct that the room was on the side of the sea, but we expected a hotel with views on the sea, which is not the case. Besides that, happy with the stay and we got more than we expected out of a 2-star hotel.
The entire hotel staff was very friendly. Most of the staff did not speak much English, but we were able to communicate just fine! The room was clean and comfortable, and the location of the hotel was great! We stayed in a "seaside" double room. This description is very deceiving as none of the rooms are actually on the sea. Our room had a very small balcony covered by bushes with no sea in sight. We would definitely stay in the hotel again, but would save our money and reserve a standard double room. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and felt the hotel was a good value.
Very polite and disposed staff, the hotel is situated close to the beach and main restaurants on the coast line, it gives the oppotunity to have fun in restaurants slowly flowing into the hotel room pillows
Proximity to beach and restaurants. Breakfast area and food selection was very good also. Access directions hard to follow. Switches on headboard are not well located.
We enjoyed the friendly staff, the comfort of the room, and the easy access to both the beach and a wide choice of restaurants, all within very easy walking distance. Breakfast was excellent, served in a delightful courtyard/ terrace surrounded by flowers, two caged birds and occasionally the resident dog. Right outside the hotel there is a row of water spouts that were in use by children splashing and having a ball.
The overall ambiance and attention to detail, close to a wide range of restaurants. An oasis in an historic town.
I thought that staying at the hotel was a fantastic experience, it was a haven & a very relaxing experience, also the staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Hotel setting was also a bonus.
peacefulness, location, friendliness, helpful, gardens were a delight and the pool/spa facilities good but not well advertised. I would stay again so long as I was in a garden room. Our room - 1 - was fine in itself but was overlooking the road - no traffic - but like sleeping under the eiffel tower. Curtains did not fit windows so bright street lights all night. Not a good nights sleep and not frankly worth the £200. A shame as it is not difficult to find curtains to fit. Also no information in the room about the hotel/area/dining etc. All we got was an envelope asking for a tip at the end....hardly condusive to good feeling.
Beautiful building with a medieval feel, spacious, tastefully done up. Lovely large courtyard garden, covered swimming pool. Large rooms, very comfortable. Friendly staff. A really classy place where you could easily spend a week or two. Right in the centre of the incredible city of Aigues-Mortes.
what a lovely Hotel, right in the centre of the walled city,a super pool in a wonderful courtyard, very quiet location,a good but sligtly overpriced breakfast for just a continental one,a tight squeze if you have a bigish car for parking in the underfloor but very secure garage,we simple loved the stop.and would have liked to have been able to stay longer in that area.
Everything was great !
The whole experience was very very good, i would recommend this to anyone, the reality is far better than what you see in the 'brochure'. Simply astounding. once inside the walls of the town, then Villa. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great =] loads going on in the main plaza, loads to eats and shop. I even found a local supermarket bought beers and bread and other yummies from the deli then headed outside the ramparts to sit and watch the world go buy and the sun set. amazing =] The roads nearby and the bridge got seriously congested, if you just chill you get in soon enough. It is a major attraction for the area so it is expected i suppose.
One of the bst hotles I have ever been. Very private and comfortable. A place to go again!
We loved the garden and adjacent swimming pool, room was nice and quiet; much care has been given to create a romantic classy atmosphere in the building. The price of the breakfast is not included in the roomrate and too high in comparision to that.
