Best La Malène hotelsShow all
Pros: The property was very traditionally luxurious and reflected the personal taste of the owner. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were the finest I have ever slept on. Everything was of the highest quality. The breakfast was generous and delicious and served on Limoges china! The view from the suite was beautiful and the setting very tranquil - perfect to see the stars at night.
Cons: The location is a bit remote, which has both advantages (tranquility) and disadvantages (distance to village/restaurants). However I knew that when I booked it, so it's not really something I didn't like, just something to be aware of.
Pros: We had a very warm welcome from Madame, and she had gone to a lot of trouble to provide gluten free choice at breakfast. She was also very helpful recommending and booking a restaurant for us. The location is absolutely stunning, the views are superb, the surrounding countryside is picture perfect, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We will certainly recommend the Relais des Monts to friends.
Cons: We were a little surprised to be charged 15 euros per head per day for the breakfasts that we had understood were included: after all, it is listed as bed and breakfast accommodation!! Perhaps this should be made clear in the room information?
Pros: The location is extraordinarily spectacular and the view from the room takes best advantage of this. It is truly a magnificent property and is highly recommended.
Pros: It was the best experience, complete luxury, silence and stunning scenery and surroundings. I true gem and a must for anyone who wants to escape in luxury with wonderful hosts.
Pros: We liked the property and the views
Cons: Staff and owner only speak French and only serve breakfast. The closest town, La Salene is a very complicated town to eat, everything closes very early or it totally booked. They do not inform you this at Relais des Monts.
Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a sun terrace, Le Manoir De Montesquiou offers pet-friendly accommodation in La Malène. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The property is a 5-minute drive from Gorges du Tarn. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including cycling and hiking. Millau is 30 km from Le Manoir De Montesquiou, while Mende is 28 km away. Rodez - Aveyron Airport is 68 km from the property.
Pros: Very nice and well-located hotel. Meals in the hotel’s restaurant were excellent. This is a great location for outdoor activities, including serious hiking, kayaking and biking. The hotel is most pleasant.
Pros: Everything was perfect! I highly recomend
Pros: Beautiful village on the Tarn lovely Chateaux. Second floor room you need patience for warm water
Cons: Lack of hot water
Pros: Dinner excellent but expensive.Wines ridiculously expensive.
Cons: Staff Ok but not particularly friendly. We probably stayed too long because there was not a lot to do other than canoeing.
Pros: The Staff and the building and of course the location in the center of the town
Cons: The decoration . The bed of 1m90 , too short And the noise from the street , since there was no airconditioning I had to keep the windows open and too much noise from the road kept me awake
Pros: Charming hotel run by a excellent manager.
Cons: Manager advised in french that there will be lot of noise due to a festival that night. The message did not clarify we can or could cancel free of charge in case we wish to, nor was a translation provided by BOOKING com. There was rock music playing till 4 am next to the hotel.
Pros: The rustic feeling at such an hotel! It is old, but very nice - and indeed very special. Good breakfast. Parking right outside the hotel. Location is excellent. Dog-friendly.
Cons: Be aware it is old - and no elevators for luggage...
Pros: You are staying more in a castle than a hotel. Rooms were large and very well appointed. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of room for all. The view was amazing. A night, sleep well with the windows opened and silence. Don't forget to eat at the hotel restaurant. Food was cooked to perfection. Still thinking about it.
Cons: This place is hard to find. GPS only gets you close and the hotel signs are covered up.
Pros: Fabulous historic castle
Pros: Beautiful old place in a great location.
When you stay at Azureva La Malène Gorges du Tarn in La Malene, you'll be 1 minutes by foot from Cévennes National Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Walls were very thin between rooms. Even when people in adjacent room we’re talking v quietly we could hear them.
Pros: A beautiful old building with up to date bathroom facilities. The proprietor kindly garaged my bike overnight. Breakfast was the usual European fair and delicious. The views from the third floor window were stunning!
Cons: No in-house restaurant and limited available in the village. Terrifying roads down the mountain side (but that's also part of why you go there?)!
Cons: Very week public wifi only....too slow to use it
Pros: It was very clean and I loved the fresh, clean white linens! It is very centrally located on the main square. The breakfast is served buffet style with lots of choices and can be eaten in a dining room or outside patio. The staff is very friendly, although during the first 2 days that I was there nobody spoke a bit of English, so it was very difficult to communicate as I know limited French. Only on the day that I checked out was there a person with a bit of English knowledge. One big downside for me is that the wifi is very difficult to log on to, in fact I was never able to use it. I had to go across the street and paid to use another facilitie's wifi. There is no elevator, so choose a low floor if you have luggage. No air-conditioning, which is typical. Parking is free in a nearby public lot. Overall, I think it is a good value for the price. I would stay there again.
Cons: They need a better wifi system. I was never able to log on and had to pay a nearby facility for their wifi.
Pros: Location is perfect. Breakfast was very good. there was a possibility to park bikes, which is always appreciated.
Pros: Very fresh, we can make our own fresh orange juice. Simple but enough choices with quality for the breakfast! Very handy location to visit around and easy to park at the public carpark near to hotel. Feel welcome and useful informations provided by the staff.
Pros: The area.
Cons: Extremely hot in room, much hotter than outside temp. Reception staff didn't seem to know what they were doing...?
Pros: Catherine on reception was excellent and very helpful
Cons: Everything was fine
Pros: Lovely comfortable hotel perfectly located in the main street of La Malene right opposite the Gorge. The manager was very friendly and allowed us to park our motor bike in the garage. Breakfast was delicious!
