Pros: Great view, lots of facilities, child friendly. Nice hosts.
Pros: Very friendly, open and generous hosts Huge garden right next to the lake, numerous seating opportunities in the garden
Cons: It was not clear before that it would be shared bathrooms
Pros: Supernice couple running the BB, every amenity imaginable provided. Individual breakfast, cooked with love for details. Hot tub, pool and the lake/ river, BBQ provided if wished. Any length of stay is too short.-)
Pros: Excellent breakfast, amazing house and very nice hosts.
Pros: Fantastic stay. The house is very spacious, with many facilities (I wish I had time to take advantage of all of them...). Very friendly hosts, keen in going the extra mile to please their guests: had lovely chats and received valuable advice. Very nice outdoors.
Pros: What a beautiful home and a spectacular property with glorious views. The grounds are filled with little corners to sit and have a glass of wine or read a book. The house is gorgeous and filled with stunning works of stained glass by the artist owner herself. The breakfast was excellent. All of this and they accepted our dog. They are also open year round so we may come back for a little respite in the winter. Highly recommended
Pros: The house is gigantic, more than fully equipped, and all bedrooms are amazing. We also had a view on the lake. The Gite aux Pignons is a beautiful location which also has access to the lake and a huge garden to relax. I can't recommend it enough... you'll also have a different breakfast every day and the nicest hosts you can find in Quebec!! :)
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Pros: exceptional hosts , wonderful scenic location on a river, breakfasts were way more than expected, well prepared and wonderful .The hosts, Loiselle and Landis , were very helpful with suggestions on what to visit within the region. I would return here in a heartbeat.
Cons: not very much

Pros: The bedroom was very clean.
Cons: The property was too isolated .
Pros: Definitely worth a visit (and I cannot believe we almost canceled our stay)! Louise and Jean-Rock are amazing hosts. Their home was the only place during our trip where the house was part of the entertainment. Pool, musical instruments, walking path in the woods, wild fox visiting for breakfast... my husband and I absolutely loved it! Or, and the breakfast was amazing. Add this place to your "must visit" list if you want to experience Canadian hospitality.
Pros: Jean what a hoster! He has such a natural kindness and beautiful energy and he definitely knows how to cook a huge and perfect breakfast. The place is gorgeous and big and full of nature, We saw a rabbit

Pros: Almatoit is a really really nice place. Beautiful house, decorated with care and good taste. Breakfast is made with local and, if possible, organic products. The BEST and HEALTHIEST breakfast we had on our 3 weeks' trip in eastern Canada. The host is such a nice and welcoming person! Almatoit was by far the nicest and most beautiful B&B we stayed in. The small town of Alma is also a nice place.
Cons: That we could only stay one night....
Pros: Very friendly owner and the food was all locally sourced and delicious.
Cons: No air con.

Cons: Great hosts and a super hostel - if you are prone to mosquito attacks - beware as this area is teeming with em.
Pros: Lovely place near the lake and close to other attractions. The hosts were friendly and available when neede---they even mailed me my lost drivers license. And free bikes too! Well-recommended by us.

Pros: The whole experience was very satisfactory and the location exceeded our expectations.
Cons: N/ANo complaints
Pros: Breakfast was amazing!
Pros: The kitchen staff were very nice and the breakfast was very good. The location was attractive, We really liked the deck overlooking the water'
Cons: The room was tiny. The ceiling slanted down over the bed and furniture. The ceiling and walls were the same color so one didn't notice the slant at first. We bumped our heads on the slanted ceiling a few times until we got used to the construction.. The mattress was very hard.
Pros: Nice breakfast from friendly lady. Nice setting on inlet.
Cons: Check-in desk a little hard to find...across the street from the rooms. Doors stuck and squeaked (they need a carpenter). 2nd floor stairs were steep and unsafe with no outside railing. Wifi router was across the street in the office so reception in the room didn't work...had to go sit on the curb outside the office to get reception. Mattress was too hard.
Pros: When there was no room available in the main building we were assigned a spacious two-floor condo attached to and behind the registration office, which was very well equipped and comfortable - excellent value for the few dollars extra that we paid for it. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and capable.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like about our stay - and we hope to stay there again next year.
Pros: Best place in Alma, though relatively unknown.
Cons: Bathroom sink in the bedroom.
Pros: Friendly welcome, super breakfast
Pros: The accommodation is very nice right on the lake. It is very quiet. I liked the maritime design of the rooms. The breakfast was very good.

Pros: Spacious room, convenient location, clean and comfy bed.

Cons: the area around the hotel and church is a wasteland of hard surfaces
Located in Desbiens, Maison Zacharie is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Metabetchouane History and Archeology Center and Fairy Hole Cavern Park. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Very expensive
Pros: It’s a setup with shared bathroom and no modern amenities. Really enjoyed how I was welcomed by the mother of the host. Really interesting if you are visiting. Good breakfast. Great setup if you want to meet other guests.
Cons: The drawback of the place is that it’s not the right setup for those who just need to rest overnight. No bathroom in bedroom, no tv, etc. Single electrical outlet in the room. I was on a motorcycle ride.
Pros: Wow. As a couple who travel frequently, this will rate at the very top of all our hotel/ B and B experiences. The room was exceptional, very clean and so comfortable. I won’t bore the reader with a litany of superlatives, but trust me, you’ll be impressed. What isn’t quite perfect is being worked on. Stay for a week if you can. You won’t find better. Exceptional value.
Cons: Shared showers. Small sinks.
Pros: A fantastic place that is family-run and you will feel that. The entire family went above and beyond to fulfil even the most special of our needs as a family. A STRONG recommendation indeed! Apart from that, the old monastery is just so cool to be staying at!
Pros: Cosy, comfortable... Felt just like being at home... Beautiful park, music lounge, books, board games, shared kitchen. Hearty breakfast. Very friendly staff. I wholeheartedly recommend Maison Zacharie! Just one thing to note: bathrooms are shared (each bedroom has a sink, though)
Pros: Location was perfect! Not far off the 155. The breakfast was good. The beds were awesome.
Cons: Some work is still to be done in our room. (Sink and toilet but no shower.
Pros: Atmosphere, the concept, the kitchen to cook your own meals and meet other guests, the history of the house, the kindness of the people in charge.
Cons: Garden furniture look like they have been collected from other houses when thrown away. Although ok, it looks a bit old. Specific furnitures could enhance the atmosphere which is great. It is only a detail and it is how it is done in CA: old furnitures, when getting rid off by people/students, are being collected from the street.

Pros: Everything else! Sweet Danielle the host, loved our comfy room/bed and own bathroom, everything clean, easy assess to attractions, country air.

Pros: The location was very convenient. We really liked the fact that the floors did not have carpet.
Cons: The chair was uncomfortable.
Pros: Stunning decor, huge rooms! Super friendly staff who luckily spoke more English than we did French. Great location.
Cons: No automatic doors, makes it a little difficult bringing in luggage.
Pros: The staff, the location and the cleanliness
Cons: Missing a table in the room. Lights not good. No individual bed lights (the same for both partners). And INCREDIBLE: In the Lac St.Jean which is the land of blueberries, we had AMERICAN BLUEBERRIES during the breakfasts. We felt this as a contempt towards the region.
Pros: nice location not far from the water
Cons: needs counterspace in the bathroom
Pros: Great Location
Cons: Unbelievable overpriced!
Pros: clean rooms, good locarion, good priceStaff was friendly and helpful
Cons: 1st night,I had a room located too close to the engine room. However, they gave me a second room the second night that was much more quiet. They were very accomodating in the circumstaces.
Pros: Good location, quiet part of town. There are a couple of pubs and shops nearby.
Located in Saint-Gédéon, Hébergement L'Unik features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests are only 3 minutes' walk away from the beaches of Saint-Gédéon. There is a shared kitchen, hairdresser's, and gift shop at the property. Free use of bicycles is available at this property and the area is popular for golfing. There is also an array of bars and restaurants within 50 metres.
Pros: Calm, clean, the owner is very nice. Great microbrewerie next door with an amazing waitress.
Pros: This is a nice place, in a great location if you’re driving to Lac-St-Jean from Quebec City. There is lots of parking, and in 10 minutes you can walk to the public beach with a beautiful view of the lake. Good WiFi and clean shared bathroom. Good self-87service kitchen if you want to cook there (but we drove to Alma to find a good restaurant).
Cons: Room was quite small so we couldn’t open our larger suitcase fully and had to jump over it in the night.
Pros: Nothing enjoyable comes to mind about the room, aside from its location right next to the Brasserie du Lac.
Cons: Not a great experience for us staying at l'Unik... cleanliness was highly questionnable as there was a rotten potato bag in the cupboard. The smell was very bad, no air circulation since the ''apartment'' and all other rooms seem to be in the basement. There was no doors to the bathroom (??), the room waslocated literally behind the reception so a lot of light got in from the corridor, very noisy refrigerator, no coffee for the machine in the room, no dish towels although it is requested that clients clean their dishes... We decided to leave after one night and had to argue with the owner about not paying full price. In spite of all elements described above, she still found reasonable to charge us 112$...

Pros: Very comfortable bed Amazing view
Cons: The bath... I think a shower would have been better
Pros: Good Location. the restaurant of the hotel was good

Pros: Beautiful location with a beach and a great view on the the lake especially at dawn. The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Every thing was fine !
Pros: Very nice room, hotel, beach, parking
Cons: Wi-Fi not working in our room They told us that the canoe/kayak rental service on the beach was open until 7pm but when we got there at 5pm in was already closed even though on the time table that was there it stated: open until 6pm. Very confusing. This happened for 2 days in a row so I guess it was no coincidence
Pros: View lake in balcony. Room is clean and comfortable.
Cons: Hot tub is not working properly.
Pros: We like the location... sitting on the lake , magnificent
Cons: The place is a mess, totaly run down, in bad need of repairs..... the , mattress are the worst, very hard
Pros: Great location and there is lots to do.
Cons: Construction started early and end late on the dates that we stayed. We were given a warning at check in. But never an apology. 7:00 am wasn’t a wake up time that we were hoping for on our holiday.
When you stay at Restaurant-Motel le Rond-Point in Metabetchouan, you'll be 8 minutes by car from Metabetchouane History and Archeology Center. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: nice and spacious room, after reconstruction, easy free parking, restaurant nearby, close to the lake
Cons: communication problem in English at check-in
Pros: The location is easy to visit the Lake St Jean and surroundings
Cons: Room without charming aspect.
Pros: Large room, big shower! Lovely country setting.
Cons: We booked at $55 plus $10.25 tax and other charges. When we got there the young lady at the counter gave us a prepared bill for $95.48. I showed her my reservation and she adjusted it. She was a very nice young lady but obviously unaware of anything other than the bill that had been prepared. This put her and myself in an awkward situation. Other than that all was great.
Pros: It was clean, spacious, had no carpet, two comfortable chairs, nice shower, we could have stayed there for the whole duration of our trip...had we knownT
Cons: The container for the shampoo was outside the shower and it was hard to park the van at the back.

With a stay at Motel aux Ecluses in Alma, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Saguenay River and Alma College. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This was a very cheap hotel located above a gas station. I expected it to be a place where I could sleep and not much more - I was not disappointed. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room which was an unexpected perk for this type of place.
Cons: There were a lot of dead flies in the bedroom near the window and in the hallways under the lights. The water from the faucet had an off flavor.
Pros: It's a good option to save money, below the rooms there are a groceries store. You can talk with them to store in there fridge whatever you need to keep cold. There a coffee machine in the room, heater in the bathroom. People were polite.
Cons: It's 10 min in car from Alma. We stayed only two night and no body cleans or restock the coffee or toilet paper in the room. I found a little insect but it's the kind of insect that we can find in almost every house in Quebec.
Cons: The room was stinky and they didn't do anything except a green tree
Pros: Clean, good value
Cons: While staying for a few nights, no one came to cleanup, refill toilet paper, coffee or swap towels. TV was from another age. In a middle of nowhere.
Pros: The weekend staff member on duty was excellent. He was friendly and helpful. This business is on top of a gas station and that is its primary business. But he still made time to try to help me.
Cons: I was there for three days. On the second day I was shocked that there was no visit from housekeeping. It took some work to get them to deliver me fresh towels. On the third day, still no housekeeping. There never was an attempt to see if ai needed toilet paper, towels, toiletries or anything else. This was a 4 day/three night stay. Daily housekeeping is written in the description.

Cons: Cable TV out of order
Cons: the room was terrible, a lot of noise, dirty, disorganized
Cons: Parties going on at the restaurant, too noisy and (not the hotels fault) they threw their shot glasses into the parking lot. 2 big potholes in the sloped driveway that leads to the rooms. You cannot see them until you are already in them. Very bad for your car.
Cons: Needs an upgrade. Dark and grimy felt dirty.
Cons: Very noisy, old Woden floors covered up so if you sleep on 2nd floor you hear everything from the 3rd
Pros: The location
Cons: Lack of parking during an event in the bar
