Locaation and friendly staff resurfacing parking lot so parking was a bit of a problem but the staff was helpful.
the moment we pulled up, we realized it was a bad part of town. i mistakenly thought it was another super 8 that i had previously stayed at in kansas city when i booked it. the front desk lady was nice, but kind of creepy. our room was on the second floor&the moment we got into the hallway it smelled like pot really bad. we got into our rooms. the main room was okay, but the bathroom had gravel on the floor&toothpaste on the floor&counter. we did not feel safe staying here. we went down to the front desk to ask what we could do; the front desk lady said since we booked it through you (but somehow really through expedia) we would have to call them&they our money back. at this point it was midnight. we had just driven over three hours to be here. we hadn't even been in our room for an hour. we were on the phone with expedia until two in the morning&talked to two different people. the hotel still refused to refund our money. it was crazy to pay $170 for two nights in this awful dump&i won't ever make that mistake again. we left first thing saturday morning&stayed somewhere else.
The woman at the front desk was very hospitable. The room was clean, and we had everything we needed for a short, overnight stay. The traffic from the highway was rather distracting when I was trying to go to sleep, but I imagine that's just a cost of the location.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Nothing.
The room was clean and warm. All was in good order. Breakfast was tasty too Nothing, would stay again.
The outside was a little rundown and we were a little skeptical about what the rooms would be like. Room was presentable, but lots if traffic and location was not the best. Not worth the price we had to pay.
