Pros: Cannot say enough about how accommodating (I believe Marie) was! We asked about restaurants close by & for directions. She gave us a couple of options AND insisted on driving us there and back!!! We are so grateful to her. We were looking for the Costello Chapel & she gave us great directions. The area was an interesting mix of homes & farm animals. Fascinating!

Pros: Our landlady, Christena, was lovely and so helpful. The location was ideal and next door to a fabulous Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner.
Cons: The nightclub next door was loud but we didn't mind since we stayed up late ourselves! I really liked being in the thick of things since Carrick is so lively.

Pros: The choice of food at the buffet breakfast was superb: - the poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the consistency of the porridge was just right. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Our room in the newer part of the hotel was spacious and comfortable. Although it was located in the middle of the town, we heard nothing from the lively bars of the main street.

Pros: Hearty welcome on the check-in and a great room. A very good breakfast, Freshly prepared and served with a smile in nice surroundings.
Cons: The front doorbell didn't work and I had to walk around the hotel to find someone to let me in just after midnight. This was recognised by the reception (will be repaired) and not a big issue.

Charged full rate. Wouldnt recommend for staying but fine for lunch or drinks.

Had trouble with tv reception had to get someone in to retune it. Porter was very dour when we arrived back late when doors were locked after 11pm. Had to show passport and room key to gain entry and we had to wait until someone came to let us in standing in the rain. Very outdated in alot of ways. View was onto construction site. This attractive spa hotel is situated right by the wonderful Lough Allen surrounded by a fantastic mountain landscape and close to Ballinagleragh. The picturesque village of Drumshanbo is within walking distance and approximately 1 km away guests will find plenty of bars and pubs. Links to the public transport network are located around 15 km away, easily reached within 15 minutes by car. The sea is around 50 km from the hotel. The nearest airport is Knock, located around 60 km from the hotel, and Dublin airport is around 170 km away whilst it is 200 km to Shannon airport. Opened in 2003, this fully air-conditioned spa hotel comprises a total of 88 rooms spread over 3 floors, of which 29 are suites. The pleasant lobby includes a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk as well as the cloakroom, and 2 lifts. Culinary options include a cosy bar and an air-conditioned restaurant (with highchairs for children). Further facilities include a conference room for meetings and conventions. Room and laundry services are also on offer to guests. A playground is also to be found outside the hotel. Car parking facilities are available as well as storage of bicycles in the cellar. The comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms come with a double or king-size bed, a bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and a radio. Bernie put us in the bridal suite what a room. Our 2 day stay was too short. We will be back ASAP. The swimming pool was very clean aswell

Pros: THe room was spacious with tea/coffee etc and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Considering this was a very reasonable price I thought it was very good. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean.
Cons: The carpet, which was the first thing I saw on entering was ill fitting and gave a poor first impression. Decor was very bland and basic but fine. Couldn't angle the TV to face the bed. The automatic lights on the corridor only worked intermittently so it was very dark on occasion.

And to top it all off there is no breakfast for the price. This is a bed and that’s it !! Bed mirror chair , & you share bathroom/toilet with other guests.

Cons: Rooms could do with an upgrade but this didn’t spoil our stay at all and good value for the price we paid.

Cons: TV could not be tuned in, asked proprietor to assist, still could be resolved. Toilet door lock stuck, if you lock the toilet door the locking mechanism sticks and in one case took five minutes of "jamming" to open the door and leave. Book accommodation for 3 people charged €80 + on the booking.com website, fee taken in advance. Arrived and told I had only book one room (double) had an extra person with me and was told I had to pay €40 extra for each additional person (€80). All of us had to share double beds - all of group were male

Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The room size was adequate for two of us. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The second time the shower was used~would not heat up. Towel rail fell off the wall. These were brought to the notice of hosts. No tea/coffee making although the host offered to make some tea on our arrival.

Cons: Too cold. Way to cold. All the windows condensated every morning very badly. The television in the room was old and didn’t work. No tea, coffee or anything like that in the room. Plus charged an extra €100 for a stain on the carpet that was already there. Wouldn’t want my dog to stay there. Very disappointed.

Pros: Cannot say enough about how accommodating (I believe Marie) was! We asked about restaurants close by & for directions. She gave us a couple of options AND insisted on driving us there and back!!! We are so grateful to her. We were looking for the Costello Chapel & she gave us great directions. The area was an interesting mix of homes & farm animals. Fascinating!

This attractive spa hotel is situated right by the wonderful Lough Allen surrounded by a fantastic mountain landscape and close to Ballinagleragh. The picturesque village of Drumshanbo is within walking distance and approximately 1 km away guests will find plenty of bars and pubs. Links to the public transport network are located around 15 km away, easily reached within 15 minutes by car. The sea is around 50 km from the hotel. The nearest airport is Knock, located around 60 km from the hotel, and Dublin airport is around 170 km away whilst it is 200 km to Shannon airport. Opened in 2003, this fully air-conditioned spa hotel comprises a total of 88 rooms spread over 3 floors, of which 29 are suites. The pleasant lobby includes a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk as well as the cloakroom, and 2 lifts. Culinary options include a cosy bar and an air-conditioned restaurant (with highchairs for children). Further facilities include a conference room for meetings and conventions. Pros: Lovely clean hotel in a great location spotless clean the food was great and the staff are only Brilliant Bernie on the reception is what every hotel needs your 1st impressions is what you remember. Bernie put us in the bridal suite what a room. Our 2 day stay was too short. We will be back ASAP. The swimming pool was very clean aswell
