Very Nice large room with a comfortable bed and all the amenities.
No drive up and no private balcony.
The room and linens were scent-free (rare these days). Breakfast in the restaurant (for a charge) is not available on Sundays (when we were there) but a lovely free continental breakfast was stocked in our fridge for us. That was above and beyond. We had a corner room with lovely views of the water. The room was toasty warm (a very cold November day). The staff gal who checked us in was lovely and dinner at the restaurant was delicious and well served.
It would be great if the restaurant were open on Sundays, but I fully understand that people need time off especially with reduced staffing in the off season.
The history of the building and location. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast too. Staff was friendly and helpful
The location is very nice and close to town amenities and the staff was very friendly.
Not as advertised. We have wanted to stay here for a long time, but we’re very disappointed. The room wasn’t what was expected when compared to the website, the bed was very uncomfortable, the furniture very dated and scratched up, the sprinkler pipes exposed, and dirt between floor planks. For the price paid, a renovation is definitely needed. This was the first place we’ve stayed where there wasn’t even an alarm clock!
Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were great. Lovely walk around the harbour with grey seals and cormorants.
