It’s in central Charlton Street, along which you can drive for about 3min to get to Llandudno West Shore Beach. Public transport is close by, in the form of the Great Orme Tramway, and the Promenade is only about 300 yards (275 metres) from your accommodation. It’s family friendly, with cots available on request and multimedia entertainment for children in its family rooms. Golf is available on the premises and you can also go hiking and cycling in the surrounding area.
  • Llandudno hostels come in different forms, with some of the most cost-effective options for backpackers and budget travellers being B&Bs or guesthouses. Bryn Coed Guest House is one such establishment, about a 13min drive from the centre of Llandudno, which is roughly 5.5 miles (9 km) away. If you’re looking to be a little way out of the central district and close to the seaside, this is a very good choice. It’s about a mile (1.6 km) from the beach and within easy reach of Colwyn Bay Train Station for public transport – a walk of around 7min. It offers a homestay experience and you’ll be looked after by the owners themselves, making this a true home-away-from-home place to stay.
  • If you’re on a quick business trip and prefer to book at one of the Llandudno hostels rather than stay at a more expensive hotel, you’ll find all the basic amenities you need on tap at Karden House. It’s rudimentary but comfortable and provides storage for your luggage and a safety deposit box for valuables. You’ll be well situated right in the very centre of Llandudno, with convenient access to the nearby tram station. If you want to unwind after a day’s work, you can take an easy walk to the Promenade or to North Shore Beach. Catering is done by the attentive owners and includes a complimentary breakfast.
