absolutely nothing. a toilet of a hotel. nothing worked, door wouldn't open and our stuff was in the room, the shower didn't work, the the tv didn't work, lights looked dangerous and only half of them worked. the room was accessed by the back door of the hotel and by crossing the one car carpark, past the rubbish bins and mating cats, then up the narrow stairs. breakfast is a joke here, they glared at us thro ughout our meal, which was a terrible version of full English served on a tiny pocket sized plate. poorly cooked and almost thrown at you, the waiter couldn't get rid of us quick enough, the toast was mouldy and the tea terrible . we approached the surly looking management to complain but as my romanian is a little rusty we struggled. she seemed to not really care that.nothing worked.and the food was mouldy, blaming the previous guests for.breaking everything . AVOID THIS PLACE ! Without doubt, the worst run hotel i have ever stayed at. will never return here even if it was demolished
friendliness of all staff
it was easy to find the staff were brilliant and the hotel was very clean plus we had a gorgeous breakfast thank you we will stay with you again sometime xx nothing at all A*** hotel and staff
entertainment/meals poor cleanliness and shoddy decor in rooms/hotel very tired looking/poor parking
We really enjoyed our stay friendly staff good food and good location The lumpy mattress
Wonderful views over the bay. Friendly and accommodating staff. Super breakfast. Room rather small. No bath. Some fittings very aged. Room exceptionally dark and only one chair but concierge arranged for an extra lamp. Overall the hotel has seen better days and is badly in need of refurbishment
the area it was in
The hotel was good value for money The entertainment in the evening left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately it didn't really cater for people of a younger generation!!! Also the rooms were absolutely freezing cold even with the radiator on full blast.
We chose this hotel because of its location and its 4* rating. The room was quite small but comfortable.
The pool was good. The staff were polite & efficient The meals were a little on the small size for someone who has a larger appetite than I do. Car parking is a problem.
everything was supplied no we had a lovely short break
Perfectly situated for all amenities No
Just enjoyed the lovely winter break, have been 'out of season' before and enjoy the peace and relaxation.
Fabulous location right on the sea front Room was very warm
Because of the time of a year, very quiet atmosphere, few people.
We liked everything about this hotel - location, facilities, staff, ameneties, atmosphere, food!!!!!!!!!!!! No!
Room comfort and size, large bathroom, comfy bed Small parking area, loud wedding guests in bar, they need to set up a bar in the function room
the pool and
Nice view The hotel had a wedding going on and it was extremely loud until 2 am and we could not sleep. on top of that, several guests had a stomach bug and were throwing up. We checked out one night early and the hotel refused to refund our second night.
I like the comfort and the staff are very helpful. We find the atmosphere at the hotel very relaxing. The only thing I would have liked at the St George was the lack of a pool which would have been a great asset. However, we had a lovely weekend.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great but the evening meal was fabulous, definitely recomend a meal there well worth the money. Parking was minimal, we were lucky to go in October but can imagine it very difficult to park on the hotel grouds at busier time of year.
Excellent facilities, extremely clean, very pleasant stay
Location, and very quiet. Well-trained staff always willing and attentive made for relaxed stay. The changing colours of the seascape were a constant pleasure. **** hotel with no bathrobes; towels old; towel rail never heated. No clock.
Friendly service.Very clean. Car parking round the back is very poor should suggest parking over the road around the church
Very pleasant staff. Clean and well presented. Very enjoyable stay!
Cleanliness of the room and particularly the bathroom. You were right on the sea front. The breakfast was delicious. Limited parking.
Tha ambience was calm and the bedroom were to a high standard. They lack a fridge / mini-bar, which is disappointing in a 4 star establishment. see above. Also, there was a function in the main retuarant and the kitchen was clearly barely able to cope with the 'ordinary diners' Excruciatingly long waits between courses and steaks not cooked as per order were symptomatic.
Very convenient, and spacious. Meals excellent. The service of waiters/waitresses was excellent the timing of courses left a little to be desired. Make sure that your evening meal has been booked by reception staff.
Location was great; staff at breakfast very friendly parking a little tricky
The food and restaurant service was good. Views of promenade and sea good. No heating in bedroom on arrival - very cold. Took hours to heat room with 2 bar fire. Room was above disco - loud noise till 1,30a.m.
Staff friendly. Bathroom was dirty with hairs and dust in every corner.
I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel had two members of staff covering reception, the dining room and bar. I had to walk around the dining room to find someone to check in. The bathroom tile grouting was black and the bedroom curtains were smaller than the windows. When I raised these concerns with the owner he just argued back and got aggressive. I travel with work a lot and this hotel will be one I remember for the wrong reasons.
None Overall experience was shocking!! Management got aggresive whe We questioned him about the rooms!!
Friendly staff, exceleent sea views and good breakfast. Good parking.
None I admit my stay was in the winter in a seaside resort but the description that the 'Regency Royal Hotel has ... free parking and an Indian restaurant' was a bit overstated. Free parking was just on-street parking and the Indian restaurant was not open, all I was offered was a very disappointing menu of bar snacks.
Breakfast good free parking clean new sheets towels free wifi Tv not working
Did not like anything. The room was to smal, dirty, not properly ventilated. Damp, toilet was very basic and not very clean. Overall to expensive for this type of accomodation. Did not like anything. The room was to smal, dirty, not properly ventilated. Damp, toilet was very basic and not very clean. Overall to expensive for this type of accomodation.
Sea view, cleanliness, price. Staff friendly. Bath towels changed after each use. Outdated facilities. tv didn't work. Shower cubicle cramped. Bar never seemed to be open - bar meals advertised. Menu not wonderful. Most meals came with chips. Front garden area not well maintained.
I like the friendly staff no every thing was spot on
The breakfast was gourmet - all needs catered for and beautifully presented. Staff were very courteous. The bathroom - avocado suite - reminded me of my student flat, 20+ years ago! Management did say there was a programme in place to refurbish.
Very friendly staff very clean and food very good. Wewill most likely visit again.
located within easy reach to shops, beach pier and other local attractions
the excellent service and homely feeling of the hotel everything was excellent
the breakfast small room
The breakfast, well worth getting up for! Room was very good, as clean as you could ask for and no shortage of clean towels etc in bathroom. Would recommend the Clovelly to anyone staying in Llandudno...
Convenient, cleanliness, friendly.
good location draughty bedroom
Friendly Staff who wanted to make you welcome
The breakfasts were good Too far from town centre, lack of parking- Guest parking round back of hotel, but no rear access to hotel. Bedroom was chilly- no heating on. Breakfast served 8:30 till 9am was a bit late, as most people were ready at 8 am.
Its location Wifi works only in the lobby; when they replenish the rooms they get skimpy or distracted & do not leave milk or cookies, or soap, etc
Wasn't happy staying on a Saturday night / Sunday morning breakfast at 8.00am-9.00am! Like a lie in on a weekend so needless to say had no breakfast, all the other places I have stayed allow 2 hours for breakfast & at a later time.
Hotel was very clean and quiet at night. Staff were pleasant. Lovely location right on the sea front and only a short walk from shops, We stayed in room 17, the plumbing wasn't very good.
Vere friendly staff & lovely location and breakfast
The location was excellent and the sea view room was clean with a spectacular view. Rhona the owner was very friendly, informative and considerate. She even enquired about the vegetarian options we may like at breakfast!
The view of the bay from the room was excellent (We did pay extra for this room). Not really. We did not spend that much in the hotel as the weather was excellent. It is quite expensive for a Bed & Breakfast hotel
Everything about the Hotel was perfect. Parking was a little tricky but we soon found a permanent place close to. Only the no parking but you can easily get round that
Very friendly Lots of steps to climb
Pleasant, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, good location. not suitable for the less mobile(steps and stairs)bar not open.
The sea view was lovely. Breakfast was good but coukd have had more variety on the continental side. The sea view room was very small. We thought it too expensive for the stay. £80 per night.
friendlyand helpfull staff. Idealy situated for town centre, sea and countryside.
Friendliness of the proprietor and the position of the hotel. No dedicated car park. You have to take pot luck with the on street parking.
the view from the bedroom was excellent, and it was conveniently positioned for walking to shops and for bars + entertainment We did not like the presence of a dog which was left to roam freely at the hotel, even at breakfast he was running around the room.
Breakfast was yummy, extra toast was requested and this was no problem for the staff. Could have been more flexable as 8:30 was quite a late start if you were wanting to go out for the day. 2 superior see view rooms were booked. One had a beautiful bay window the other a small window. I feel this was not a "superior" room but maybe a room with a sea view! No animals were allowed in the hotel but their own dog was there on arrival and had the freedom of the hotel.
Excellent food, fantastic hosts
the warm welcome we recieved was wonderful after a long journey but it didn't end there...we were made to feel very special for our 3 day stay.
Recently opened (in July) - contemporary design, themed rooms have strong colours, modern facilities (power shower, flatscreen), very attentive owners, excellent service
The staff friendliness and quality of food both for breakfast and in the restaurant. Cleanliness was of an exceptionally high standard. Room was slightly smaller than expected.
Very friendly staff Bobby & Sunitta. Very helpful. Really modern clean hotel finished to a very high standard.
I liked the friendly personal service, the lovely breakfasts and the Indian food in the restaurant. Room was small. This room was never a King Size room.
the room was very nice and the bathroom was excellent, we were greeted with a nice welcome
As soon as we entered we were greeted at the front door and welcomed in. It was a lovely place to stay in the perfect location. The Jaya restaurant was fantastic we had a lovely meal there, and the Maya cocktail bar. We couldn't have asked for much more! The food was excellent and so was the service. Bobby and Sunita were always there to help and we'll look forward to coming again.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff all of whom were friendly and open. The accommodation was excellent, clean, modern and of the highest standard. The food was beautiful, one of the best Indian meals we have eaten. We will definately return.
Lovely place, with well designed luxury rooms! There wasn't that much parking, however it was a bank holiday weekend and the hotel was fully booked. But apart from that, wonderful stay!
The service overall was good; the use of their lounge and bathroom after check out was helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere of the House was very nice indeed and the landlords helpful but unobtrusive. The bedside lamp was a litte dark so much so that one evening when I wanted to read a lot I switched it with the one in the hallway that gave off more light. The energy saving bulbs and dark shades don't always go so well.
Helpful very friendly and welcoming. None, minor concerns for decor and upkeep/ maintenance
Easy to book, lovely pleasent staff and enjoyable stay. n/A
Bedrooms pleasantly furnished and very comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean and I loved the little soaps and guest shampoos. Tea, Coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits was most welcoming. It was so lovely. My daughter from America was visiting us and we were so pleased that the hotel was as charming as it was. We just loved the Victorian house and all its pretty antiques! No bad points. We would most definitely stay there again when our next flow of American family comes to visit us and there will be many of those!
Great location. Near the railway station and not far from town center.
Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Ideal central location.
Cleanliness and facilituies of the room and general areas. Good quality breakfast and efficiency of staff.Excellent value for money. Nothing
Value for money experience, excellent room, with facilities and very welcoming hosts.
The friendliness of the welcome , the location and the service at breakfast were all first class.
Nice Breakfast and very central to town area
Very good breakfast
The friendliness of the owners, the convenience of its position, excellent breakfast Noisy seagulls!!! only joking
It was very clean and staff where great and could not do enough for you It was close to everything from beach to shops/pubs to nice walks
We used this hotel as a base for a recent golfing trip to Conwy and Royal St Davids. The hotel itself is situated in a good area of town and the Llandudno night life nearby. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and excellent value for money. Good breakfast selection is available. We certainly would not hesitate in returning to this hotel. Parking was a bit tight, but understandable for the area we were in.
The welcome and friendliness of the family owners. The breakfast was superb. I stayed only one night but got the feeling that a week would have been as pleasant and friendly
Convenient situation, helpfulness of management, closeness to good eating places, Great Orme , the pier, and the comfort. Attractive lounge for visitors. I can think of nothing that I didn't like.
Lovely clean hotel with friendly welcoming staff.
We only stayed one night, but thought the service and facilities were excellent
No surprise. I got what I expected. No table in the room
exelent food and very friendly ,helpful owners
Friendliness of proprietors and staff ,good shower and towels etc ,board games for a wet night in. Extra chair in bedroom would have been nice ,but this a personal observance not a complaint.
hosts friendly and helpful.decor fabulas. rooms clean and comfortable.food great and plentiful
The hosts, size & cleanliness of room, location
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with tea / coffee making facilities and supplies. Also had supply of toiletries in the ensuite shower room. Breakfast was substantial, well cooked and presented, though only available between 8.30 and 9am. Although just offering B&B, we had a front door key so could come and go as we wished. Friendly owners who were keen to ensure our stay was pleasant.
As previous reviews this is an excellent B & B with quality service and attention to detail. Good pillows and reading light. Very clean. Orderly breakfast between 08:30-09:00.
Very family friendly with hosts being warm and welcoming. The hotel rooms were clean and had all of the necessary facilities including a good sized shower which delivered good pressure and heat even though we were on the top floor!
Near to golf club no
Very clean & tidy, hosts very friendly & helpful. Delicious breakfast. Parking in street no problem. WLAN in lounge. Definitely to be recommended. Minor niggle: expect an additional charge for credit card payment (not mentioned in description).
Keith and Fiona were wonderful hosts during my stay at the hotel . When I registered, we struck up a conversation about golf and they asked me to join them at there local golf club, which I did. They treated me like family and were very special. In my opinion, this hotel is way underpriced. Not a thing.
Friendly staff. Good clean room. Nothing too much trouble! Bar not very well stocked. Would be better not to accept bookings from single sex groups (very noisy)
Good clean rooms, excellent breakfast, nice staff Nothing
Great location Not easy to park out side you have to pick your time. But not unusual at the sea side.
Fantastic breakfast & cooked to order... perfect!
clean room, breakfast plentiful would have preferred a room with a shower
Friendly welcome, clean comfortable room.Good breakfast Just needed a couple of hooks for coats and bath towels
The bed was comfy and really close to the pier for days out we like everything with our stay very pleasant
excellent service and value for money. the hotel was very clean and tidy and run by a very friendly family. would stay again and recommend to all.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Large comfortable room. Excellent location.
lovely peaceful guesthouse, excellent staff ,great views, ideal for shopping, sightseeing and very close to the theatre, would stay again. nothing i disliked
The staff were very helpfull.
Breakfast was very good, but they should check to see if you want exactly the same each day and not just serve it. Saturday early evening getting ready there was no hot water.
this guest house is situated on the sea front close to the venue theatre and not far from llandudno centre and pier.the service and staff are excellent ,the breakfast available was very good.i would have no qualms about recommending it to anyone.
Very informative staff with a pleasant manner which makes your stay very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast the best I have had at any holiday establishment we have stayed at before. We would not hesitate to recommend this service to any of our friends.
Excellent room. Excellent breakfast. Situation perfect
Location and value for money.
Excellent friendly welcome and superb location - the room was not huge but very nicely furnished. Room was a little chilly on a very cold night - double glazing may have helped
It was very comfortable.
the town and area of wales.. location in town was an advantage ,, staff was friendly and helpful parking was hard to get, but was available as stated
we arrived on a rainy friday evening the hotel was warm and welcoming.the well cooked breakfast on saturday morning really set us up for a day of shopping. there was plenty of places to eat and relax in the evening and the hotel was perfectly placed for an evening stroll by the sea. all in all a perfect weekend break
breakfast frievieew not working so well
The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was excellent!
The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very near to the beach.
The extremely high quality of everything from the service to the room decor and the food. nothing
Very quiet and close to town centre. Very personal service.
lovely friendly welcome, great staff, very clean room and throughtout the hotel, fantastic food.would recommend to a friend and will use the hotel again.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, nice clean room
Hotel staff are very friendly. Simon, who runs the hotel, always put the guests at ease. The breakfasts that we had were beautifully cooked which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Hospitality, friendly staff. Lovely Breakfast and cleanliness of room superb.
We were delayed getting to Brigstock House so we rang Simon, who was very amenable about our arrival time. As we were aware that we would arrive later than anticipated, Simon even agreed that we could go to the show first before checking in with him. We missed the first half of the show so we arrived at Brigstock House at around 8.30 pm, before going to the second half of the show. Simon was very understanding of our situation, and quickly gave us vital information before we dashed out again. We liked the decor and the ornaments, and the little touches like chocolates placed in our room each night, as well as the tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice, plus very well presented cooked breakfasts. We were happy about everything.
Food and service None
Warm welcome, friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, near to town, plenty of parking space. n/a
I liked everything during my stay. Maybe next time I will have time to sample the evening meals
