Close to Cadogan Hall & some theatres.
There are building works going on in the adjoining property starting at 8am. Avoid if you wish to have a peaceful start to the day !
Our room was nicely decorated and well maintained. Very good beds and comfortable furniture.
We didn't know until we checked in that we would be staying in the "Club Room," which was the only guest room in the basement of the hotel. The room was nice, but it was a little strange to open the curtains and see trash bags piled on the outside basement stairs, and the feet of people passing by, just a few feet from our window.
The view from our window was nice.
I can't believe that this hotel is rated as 5 star. The room was the size of a closet, there were holes in the walls (I took pictures), the mattress was so soft it made my back hurt, and the blanket barely covered the top of the bed. When I asked for an extra blanket at 4pm because of this, I was told housekeeping was already gone, so we should just cuddle together, but she'd have one sent up in the morning. Which of course never happened. That sounds not even 3 star to me. They also don't have ice available, fyi. Overall it was the worst stay I've had through booking.com. And one of the most expensive at that.
Close to Buckingham Palace, trendy upscale shops. Small rooms but typical for big cities. Had we only realized before we started our venture that this room was big compared to the rest in the UK! The morning breakfast was a huge hit delivered to our room. The continental one had plenty of food.
