Pros. Location convenient to Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Underground.
Cons. No elevator nor assistance to haul luggage up several flights of stairs.Room too small; almost must climb over bed to access bathroom.which must enter sideways and can't even turn around so small - so have to back out. Bad internet. Unfriendly breakfast. Most annoying was I was willing to stay a second night to avoid hassle of changing hotel, and was told that would not be a problem. But the next morning (a Monday) I was hit with the surprise they spontaneously decided to almost double the rate for an extended stay, because "it felt like it will be a busy day" so I moved to a much better hotel down the street at the same "new" price.
Pros. Super friendly staff. Great location, close to multiple tube stops and things to do. Strong wi-fi signal. TV had LOTS of channels to watch. They upgraded me to a double room, so there was plenty of space! Comfortable bed. 24 hour front desk attendant.
Cons. Could use a little touch up paint and upgrading, but nothing that was really a bother. Complimentary breakfast was in a different location a few blocks away. I was told that wasn't usual, but it just happened to be during the 3 days I was staying there. Bathrooms were a little tiny, but as a solo traveler it didn't bother me.
