Easy to find and staff are helpful
The toilet seat was broken, the handle of the toilet flush was falling out. There was so much bird waste on the windows that you couldn’t see out.
The shower was broke and no hot water in the bathroom sink. Some mould in bathroom too. Had to ask for a remote control for the tv. Needs curtains at the window as was woken very early with light coming through the blind
The staff service was impeccable
The room was sparse and hot. Couldn’t leave the window open as too noisy outside. The bed was uncomfortable. The floor boards and doors creaked. The shower was boiling hot and so couldn’t be used.
The hotel was easy to find and about a 10min walk from Streatham Common station. A friendly member of staff was on hand to check us in straight away even though we asked for an early check in due to a music festival. Spacious and clean bathroom and comfy bed. They were very open to the fact they were carrying out some redecorations to the property and to be careful with our belongings on the wood work. The connected pub was nice and friendly too.
The Inn is a little dated, but not untidy, I am sure this is something they will rectify with the upcoming redecorations. The bedding was clean but you could see some old mould stains. It reminded me on Uni digs.
Staff were nice and professional. Gave me a fan when I asked for it
No breakfast. Air Conditioning will add a lot of value. Personally, I will be happy to pay £10 - £25 more if there was both breakfast and air condition. Even if you have AC in a few rooms for a trial and charge a little extra, I think many people like me will gladly pay more. Think of it, If you charge an additional £10 for the AC room, with the cheapest AC's being £40 and the top notch ones being about £400, THe AC will pay for itself with 4 - 40 lodgings i.e.1-5 weeks! Breakfast will be better added for all rooms An additional £4 - £6 is all I will be willing to pay. Leigham Court Hotel charges £8 for optional breakfast. But frankly, L.C.Hotel is a touch classier than Furzedown. Still I rarely opt for their £8 breakfast because I don't think it is value for money. Good Luck Furzedown ....hope to see some improvements soon!
