I was nervous staying in a property with no bathroom, but it wound up being fine. The bathroom facilities were close and were clean and felt safe. When I showered and used the toilet there was never anyone else around. It was a pain to take all my belongings there however. The room itself was rather large but was kind of awkwardly spaced because the bed was too long for the space and it was in there diagonally. Otherwise it was fine. A small sink was provided in the room. It felt reasonably clean. Since it was old there was only but so clean it could feel. But I didn't see any bugs or visible dirt. The man that checked me in was kind and friendly and took my very large and heavy back up the stairs as they had no elevator. The front desk and front door close after 10 or 11pm, so he warns you that you need to keep your key with you. There was no AC but they provided a fan. The bed wasn't the best but I got a very good night's sleep. The room was quite large for a twin bed single no bathroom room type. It was long and slender but had plenty of room for two. I'm not sure that there was a TV or would've been easy to watch one from the bed. I didn't need that though. The location was great. I wanted to go out and spend a night in SoHo and it was easy to walk there from the hotel. I also walked from King's cross station with my heavy luggage I think it was a but far but doable, though I wish I had taken a cab. I found it fine to walk back late after having cocktails. There were a lot of people in SoHo but on the few streets around the hotel it was less populated so I felt a little exposed/vulnerable, but didn't see any shady characters or have any real concern that harm would come to me.

Since the rooms did not all have their own bathroom, it would've been nice if a robe and slippers would've been provided for the guests. It was a pain to drag all of my things to the bathroom and be fully dressed coming in and out of the shower room. While there was space to change in the shower room, I don't like to get dressed in the humidity and would've preferred to go to my room fully covered in a robe. I didn't know I would be staying there ahead of time so I didn't prepare (and robes are too bulky to travel with anyway). I would like robes/slippers to use Didn't feel super clean, but wasn't dirty either. Could use some updates.

It was simple, clean, and within easy walking distance of the London Underground.

That my room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. The doorman, however, was kind enough to carry my luggage upstairs.

The place is kept immaculately clean and the linen crisp and bed super comfortable. The staff is helpful and kind. The location could not be better- 3mn by foot to the British Museum. I was also impressed by the history of the Club.

The only negative experience relates to the shared bathroom facilities- someone left it in a disgusting state. But that is not the hotel's fault, it's the individuals that are not respectful of others.
