Made reservatons to stay overnight on a recent trip from San Diego to Lake Tahoe. This place was nicer than our room in LakeTahoe! It was clean, felt secure, great breakfast, rooms had great heat and plenty of hot water in the shower. Very quiet!
We stayed in Lone Pine after a change of our travel plans. I wish we would have skipped this Comfort Inn. It is overpriced and it lacked in cleanliness. Only positive items was that the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast had a wide selection.
one of the nicest hotels in Lone Pine-with a great view of the snow covered sierra's and mt whitney. Good place to stop before driving to Death Valley National Park or on to other locations. Dont forget to visit Manzanar National Historice Site. Really a very moving part of American History and National Park Service does a great job of telling this history.
The girl that makes sure your breakfast is hot and the coffeee pot is full is wonderful love talking to her and the staff at the desk was helpful last time. the internet passwoard was not working and he helped me, he gave me the wrong one and we had a laugh and I went back to the room, which is very comfortable and I feel safe when I am there.
This was a wonderful hotel with gorgeous views, great hot-tub and pool, amazing continental breakfast that far surpassed my expectations and Cianna (sp?) at the front desk was kind, professional and top notch! She made dinner reservations for us and took good care of everyone that walked through that door! Free internet and the use of a computer to print out boarding passes near the front desk was a plus too. The only one minor comment I have is that the pillows were a bit small and uncomfortable. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others for sure!!!
Arrived at hotel checking into room during conference in area. Reception area had several dogs in lobby and in entry way to include a dog walking area in rear of facility. The room was smelly but adequate having poor quality linens, television and bathing accommodations where the shower head sprayed on the floor due to the head being damaged. . Upon check out, I was informed that I was in the one and only 'non-pet friendly' room in facility (which was not explained to me at check-in) and was threatened by being charged for a room cleaning fee. Discussion with reception staff and facility manager was not successively resolved where I was demeaned and treated unprofessionally. Attempts at calling property customer relations , I was informed by staff that there was nothing they could do. Having traveled extensively I have never been to a facility that was as unprofessional and ill accommodating as this as I will seek alternative accommodations in future not only in Lone Pine, Ca but in other travels avoiding Choice Hotel series due to their lack of customer relation abilities. Boutique hotels in area are superior in accommodations.
Our overnight stay was very comfortable. We were able to check in early. This place is very clean and quiet. We were on pasture side not on the highway side where you get a view of Mt Whitney. This was fine with us because we wanted the quiet. The breakfast buffet was very good with a good selection. We will stay here agian when in the area. I used the internet without any problems.
everything was as expected i got this hotel at last minute and it was a great deal thanks
I enjoyed my stay @ the Comfort Inn. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful w/ the site seeing in the area that I was interested in. I would reccommend this Inn and I will stay there again.
Lat minute booking and it worked very well for us. late night arrival and no problems. Breakfast also very good deal (free with lots of variety). Nice proprietor as well.
Although the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, it was the front desk staff that made the stay most enjoyable. They were friendly, knowledgable and extremely helful in helping us navigate Lone Pine to a wonderful restaurant for dinner (Seasons). We returned very satisfied, slept well and awoke to an incredible view of Mt. Whitney in the morning. The free 'Sunshine' breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold items and was more than expected and replenished and maintained frequently.
A wonderful alternative when no rooms are available in Death Valley National Park. We had a quiet upstairs room on the east side of the inn, with a balcony, wonderful to watch the sunrise and hear the quiet of the desert night and morning; being sensitive to noise, this was a treat. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable and the large upholstered chair and footstool were a treat to lounge in after a long, hard day of hiking in the National Park. Since the inn is located at the base of Mt. Whitney, we also had the experience of watching the eastern sunrise paint this western peak with exquisite color and hike the nearby Alabama Hills.
