No-fuss type hotel, quite relaxed, almost horizontal! Lack-lustre reception staff - had to help yourself to your room keys (and so could anyone else !)
Close to National Park, great one day cruise to local hidden beach coves.
The hotel was very close to everything(port, beach, restaurants). The staff was very competent and helpful. Insufficient light in the bathroom.
Attractive, beautifully maintained hotel with a great staff and in a great location (which was not entirely clear on the website). nothing
Not much. Worst coffee during our holiday, my wife eaten alive by mosquitoes in the room. Staff not over welcoming.
Good location, several restaurants nearby, clean, good quality beds, kind staff, etc. The hotel is actually better than it looks on the pictures on the website. One night (from midnight to 2 AM), there was a karaoke nearby (50 m) causing a lot of noise.
arrived very late at night and had to chwck out by 10AM on the way to my final destination, you I had a pleasant stay with friendly staff who was very helpfiul. Room wa very nice, and the property itself is rather pleasant, although the town did nto seem to offer much. 10Am check out, which was wxtended to 10:30AM, since I had late arrival.
Great restaurant in hotel (good menu card and nice wines at affordable prices). Near a few beautiful beaches within 10 minutes driving. Lovely views from the breakfast room at the 3rd floor. We were in the end of October at Arbatax. There is nothing to be done during this time of year besides going to the beach (fortunately the weather was good so we went a few days). Rooms are rather noisy, not well isolated against sounds from neighboring rooms.
What sticks in my mind most is the staff in the hotel - a very warm welcome and ready to help at all times. The restaurant was also very good - Overall very good value for money. The only regret was staying just one night. Nothing.
There was not many guests, and not alot to do around the hotel
Excellent restaurant and very helpful staff. Our room was clean and quiet and we were very pleased with the hotel itself. Arbatax is not the best area of Sardinia to stay in. The Harbour is great for the cruises to secluded beaches, but terrible for the view. It is essential that any visitors go over the hill to the beaches on the other side, where the water is crystal clear and you find sandy beaches. A car is also essential and those willing to drive will find beautiful beaches further north.
Excellent, welcoming staff, with a first class restaurant There was nothing to dislike, only one comment that tea making facilities within the rooms would be the icing on the cake.
cuisine in the restaurant is amazing! Staff very friendly and helpful... So peaceful and relaxing by the poolside... we read poor unfreviews about the location before going which put us off, but it was a lovely surprise and retreat and we really ffelt t The village is probably not the most scenic in sardinia but we loved our stay at the arabastar and our explorations of the sourounding area. We visiting several restaurants nearby and the arabastar was far the most superior, despite some nice pizzarias. The staff were fantastic and looked after us very well, the vibe of the hotel very chilled out and intimate, the surroundings not the most scenic in sardinia but lovely and quite quaint all the same, the food fantastic, the rooms very clean and comfortable, the beds v comfy too, the locals very friendly, and we would definitely visit again... We had a fab
The hotel is nicely designed with good size rooms and bathrooms. Restaurant dinner was good and staff helpful. Breakfast could have been better with fresh fruit and juices etc.
Everything! Spotlessly clean, nice, cosy forniture, good location, beautiful surrondings, fantastic restaurant! Breakfast, every single day thesame boring things !Ok it was fresh, tasty but it could be better:)
Location, and the design of the hotel. Swimming pool was great, big, clean and with hot water. The bedroom was also very nice. We didn't get any bathroom soaps or shampoos refills during our stay. The room was too dark, so it would be better to consider the lighting and there was a some dust under the bed. The breakfast shoud have more variety, because it was very poor.
Great location near the beach and for exploring Ogliastra region. Lovely design and excellent service by very helpful staff. Restful and quiet environment. Highly recommended
The Lanthia Resort hotel is a very stylish hotel with lovely accommodation and facilities -bar, pool, restaurant. The service was very good and the staff very welcoming. The hotel is in a great location for trips out, if you are thinking about coming to this area you must take a boat ride up the coast! The breakfast needs to be improved, poor ingredients, lacking imagination, I have had better breakfasts in a 3star hotel which is a shame because this is a lovely hotel to stay in.
Friendly staff, great spot, very relaxing
Peaceful and quiet. ideal for resting, reading and relaxing...
Very personalized and welcoming service; Cozy and worm athmosphere; very nice food in the restaurant; Highly recommended to anyone staying in the area.
modern design hotel, nice pool, excellent food lunch and dinner. cosy athmosphere, not a family hotel street between hotel and beach. beach is not in sun after 6t:30 pm.
Comfort element was high in all aspects. Hotel's OWN website could sing its praises better and also open more speedily. One example was I took a hairdryer and didn't need one. Also I felt the interior was nicer than depicted. This comment only refers to the actual Lanthia Resort website and not Booking.com. Would mention that anyone under say 5' 8" would be challenged to reach hanging rails in wardrobe, only very minor negative comment though after a lovely stay.
A simple friendly helpful family run business
Nice and quiet
Very nice hotel, the breakfast was very good.
Friendly staff. Spacious room and bathroom.
The staff is very very fiendly. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Deserves more than 3 stars, if you ask me. Very close to the beach also.
Avoid this hotel which is not welcoming, and isolate.
Easy to reach location on motorway but in nice serene location and with a very nice pool! Lovely seafood in restaurant and modern comfortable rooms. Restaurant staff were not especially friendly and a bit pushy on menu choices.. but the very nice food made up for the somewhat average service!
Hotel is located within a low hillside vineyard with great views of the countryside all around. Very nice layout and building design, covering three sections of stables, restaurant and main building.
everything about the hotel was very tasteful and of the highest quality. The food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for the set menu the hotel is not easy to find as it is up a dirt road, it could do with an extra sign at the end of the road.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the S'Abba e Sa Murta. Simple but very nice architecture, beautiful decoration of the main building, in the middle of nature and very good local food. Ratio price/quality is just excellent. If you only speak your own mothertongue it may not be always easy to communicate, but we consider that as part of the fun of travelling abroad.
It was quiet in a nice location, with a luxury feel, the breakfast was excelent and the room was very nice the lighting in the roo mwas almost too dark to read by
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights last week. The hotel was excellent and the pool area was beautiful. We ate at the restaurant both nights, choosing the 20 euro set meal (4 courses). The food was very good and the staff friendly and attentive. The A'la carte menu looked very good, but more expensive. The beaches were about a 5 minute drive from the hotel, all beautiful, some more touristy than others. It is quite a drive from the airports, but worth the effort. The hotel is very secluded and peaceful, an idyllic getaway. We would definitely stay again. Not really a dislike. Horse riding was mentioned, however the stables are empty at the moment! Riding should be available this winter.
We liked the room and pool. It was very peaceful. The restaurant was excellent value for money. The breakfast had limited choice.
Very nice location with splendid view. Take the rooms from 45 to 49 - they are on the top of the club with fabulous panorama. We spent 5 days in october, weather was perfect, temp of the sea 21-22. There was almost nobody in the hotel - at the beach at 10 in the morning we were the only one couple. Staff is very friendly, atmosphere of the club is perfect. It is really worth to stay there and rent a car to visit east coast (beatiful beaches ) and hills. We recomend one pizzeria near hotel La BITTA - it is called La BAIA - with fantastic regional food and wine (1o minutes walk from Saraceno Club).
Very good hotel and personnel. Hotel has big territory and its own beach. There are a lot of tourists with childern, so if you are travelling with children - it's really a good choice. Very good dinners in the hotel. Be prepared to get at least 2-3 kg)))
Everything was simply magnificent. The Hotel is marvelous, the architect and the designer of the place have done a great job. My respect also to the Animation staff! All guys were just great! Every day until afternoon one can do free Windsurf, Kayak, Sailing...! which is top class! Cool dances in the evenings with the animation guys the breakfast was the only weakest point of the hotel, not rich enough
very clean well run hotel with very firendly staff Dinning room was a little impersonnel
The locacion of the hotel is great, the ocean view is faboulous. They arrange great boat trips! They mostly don't speak english, everithing "has its price", even if you need a new towl to the sweeming pool you need to pay 2euro to wash it. The internet service is very bad, you pay 4euros hour, to be in a 20th century computer with so safety, and there is no wireless service to use your's. The breakfast its poor.
So nice area of hotel, tennis corts, real swiming pool (25 or 30 m) Children zone, possible to rent several kind of boats, bycicles for rent. So clean rooms. Entrance to roomfrom garden. Mostly staff is very nice. Clean area and beach. Restaurant. Just buffet is possible for launch and dinner too. Food isnt bad but not what I wished. And it looks one brand new t-short was stollen from the room. One evening it was wedding party, hi level sound ends at 4 a.m. couldnt sleep. Asked some compensation but staff said party stopped at 11 p.m. Ups!
The room was comfortable, The breakfast was poor, with exception of coffee which was ok
nice small clean hotel, good staff. simply but tasty breakfast. Rather good restaurant not good location - 2 road and seaport near. If you want to reach more than only 1 not best beach and any interesting place, you need a car. small area. no tennis court
Nice hotel, good restaurant only recommended if you are with car, the best beaches too far by foot expensive in the high season
It had colourful decor.Room was comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Damp.musty smell in room.Mosquitoes++++ in room-very uncomfortable.Asked directions to local beach and was directed about 3 kms away when later we discovered a beach just at the end of the road.We found staff in the local restaurant did were more interested in clearing up after lunch than in serving us.We understand restaurant has nothing to do with thisa hotel but it is an inconvenient attitude for hotel guests. Service in rest was very slow.
Large clean and quiet room with AC. Nice and helpful staff. Free parking. Great location if you have a car. The third bed in our tripel room could have been more comfortable.
The reception staff were extremely helpful in providing information about activities/restaurants and organising a boat trip for us.
Unbelievable room and facilities for price Located in unattractive area of town
Hotel staff is excellent! Best restaurant in area is near hotel (prices are same like in other restaurants in area but is much better then other restaurants). Dinner for 2 is 50-60 Eur. Staff in restaurant is very good. Room with balcony is very good solution. Slow service in restaurant, because always is full. Rooms are not like on pictures, they are much smaller. You need car to reach most beautiful beaches in area 10-30km.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice room Hotel is situated in an industial area, not the most pleasant place to have walks; misinformation about the free shuffle to the airport - it actually goes only to tortoli one.
It is smartly run and has lots of cool patrons. Great food!
The room and common areas were very clean, the staff spoke the best English that we encountered our whole trip and were extremely helpful, the views from the room are amazing, the breakfast was great, good garage parking. Nothing. The drive on the winding mountain roads might discourage some people but we thought it was beautiful.
Nice hotel, the personnel was very pleasant and attentive. Hotel has a good position, close to the beach (50 мt) in a quiet place covered with trees. The breakfast was very good, also it has good restaurant menu with different sardinian plates, especially good and fresh local fish.
The owner was extremely friendly and over the top helpful with any questions we had. The room was beautifully decorated as was the lobby and breakfast room. The breakfast was delicious and artistically displayed for a buffet. Just a lovely visit.
Very nice hotel and very friendly people
Friendly, genuine and pleasant people, beautiful trees and marvelous beach, clean water make someoe feel fine. Stephania runs a good job.
The staff were helpful and the breakfast was good although sometimes they were slow in replacing items that had run out. The fact that beach umbrellas and loungers were included in the price was good and also the fact that the hotel supplied beach towels.
Friendly and helpful staff, location close to the beach and atmospheric bar
Very personal treatment, almost as family member. Very nice room. Great restaurant. Beautiful beaches and mountains nearby. A little finishing necessary in garden and restaurant to make it a true design hotel
The food and the service are top level! Everyone is very professional and customer oriented.
A boutique hotel with some interesting design features, comfortable rooms and really nice staff (it's owned and run by four sisters). The restaurant was the best we tried in town. The beach is just across the road and the hotel has an arrangement with the lounger/umbrella concession. It provides free beach towels as well. Good base for swimming, snorkelling and walking.
We loved the staff. They made us feel very welcome. We got a cappuchino and a nice cake to welcome us.The suite room is nice, Very basic and natural. The beach is nearby. We where very disappointed to hear that the restaurant was closed. Should be mentioned on booking. com because there is not a good restaurant in Santa maria navarese.
An excellent hotel situated in-between the towns of Arbatax and Tortoli. The rooms and the pool are of excellent quality and staff are very happy to fulfil your requests. The restaurant offer and excellent 'menu of the day' for around 17Euros. The food is of good quality, with a choice of starter, main and sweet to choose from. Be careful though to pay for the meal on the night in the restaurant, as this cannot be carried over onto your bill, something that could be better explained I guess. Situated on the road, there is a modicum of noise at busy times, but it is certainly no more noisy than being at the sea-side with the waves crashing in. As mentioned, a better explanation of the evening meal payment scenario, thus avoiding any possible misunderstanding .
Beautiful, clean and very modern hotel. Charming staff - . Lovely clean pool. If relying on public transport - limited services available, but info eaily found. Good for occasional night due to location.
The hotel was is great condition, the staff were all friendly, polite and accommodating. The service was impeccable and our room and the pool facilities were fantastic.
Staff extremely nice and helpful. The great balcony in our room. Location could be tricky if we did not have a car.
everything...great staff, restaurant's good, beautiful hotel... but u definitely need a car to explore the surroundings...and don't forget to ask the staff about a mini-cruise from Arbatax...it's worth the money...
staff were very very good room beautifu and very clean pool clean it was a brilliant hotel to use the resturaunt you cold not put onto your bill but had to pay for on the night which we found strange as we had breakfast in there in the mornings? Not very good if you didn't have a car it was next to a busy main road where walking was not an option no pavements but the hotel was 10 out of 10 otherwise
Despite short stay very welcomming hotel and good facilities nothing to dislike except for location
Very charming and new built. The restorant downstair is more than fine. The swimming pool is a real advantage. I had a nice price via booking. Quite far from the beach. The car is required to go there in my opinion.
The pool and views were great. Unable to walk on the near-by roads as no foot paths. Not the hotel's fault, but not tourist friendly.
Excellent hotel for the money - luxurious large rooms - good food - location could be better
We liked the room very much, since kids have their own space. Staff was nice and we also liked the brekfast Please write at least 15 words Location
A well designed hotel, good services and hospitality. Excellent breakfast. A nothing to do area, you need a car to go to the beach, shops, restaurants
Lovely breakfast in the enclosed garden. Manager was very helpful and suggested beaches to visit and booked us on a fantastic boat trip. Lovely courtyard just outside our room where we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening.
Nice and clean rooms, very nice staff and excellent breakfast.
good B&B, 10 minute walk to resturants
The best breakfast we had, large selection of fruits & cakes all home made, lovely lounge are
Good stay and breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel rooms nice, good size, including fridge. Breakfast was excellent.
The pool is magnificent. Beach is very close. The apartments are fully equipped and very nice. Great Flatscreen TV and excellent airconditioning. Signage to the site could be better at the turn from the main road.
A lovely resort which offered exactly what it had stated. It is in a great location and near to resturants for those that do not want to use the kitchen avaiable. Had everything we needed.
It is a quiet resort that is ideal for families or couples who want to relax and do little while they are at the resort (there is plenty to do in the area though). The staff were very helpful and the rooms were great for the cost, loved having two balconies - always one facing the Sun and one in the shade depending on the time of day. It has a big pool and plenty of space for the number of people who could be there. There was nothing that we expected to have been provided that wasn't. Being a fairly new hotel the rooms look new and I could see that they are improving the grounds with more plants etc. The A/C was a little weak and I think I'd have been too hot to sleep in the room if it was mid summer. There were dogs barking in the distance some times during the day, wasn't a great annoyance - just being picky now!
Location is very good. Beach is close, so are some good restaurants, Santa Maria Navarrese with more restaurants is within walking distance (about 15 - 20 minutes of pleasant walk). The resort is nicely built, huge pool, nice patios, rooms are nice and clean. Owner speaks a good English. The room service only comes every 5th day which is too long especially if you go the beach often a bring some sand with you. Rooms do not have any means for cleaning by yourself. Also, do not trust your GPS too much getting to the location of the resort. If you go from the port of Olbia take the new, slightly longer but substantially better road via Nuoro. GPS may send you via Dorgali which is the old winding road that takes forever. Also beware that the check in hours are limited and you need to speak to the reception beforehand in order to arrive later. Studios are a bit basic, the kitchenettes lack dishwashers and microwaves.
The resort was brand new so everything was nice and clean. Good facilities allowing us both to cook. Staff were friendly and English speaking, pool is the best thing about the place, fantastic and huge. Beach is not so far away but much better ones can be found 15 - 20 mins in a car, would highly recommend getting a car if going for more than a few days. Few restaurants can be found locally along with basic supermarkets, bigger one 10 min journey in a car. The resort is not too far from the port so boat trips to amazing beaches that cannot be accessed by car on the east coast. All day excursions for around 30 euros +. Would both go back as a very relaxing holiday. Perfect if all you want, Sun, Sea and Sand. No restaurant or supermarket on site but not too far to walk to nearest one.
Fantastic pool, friendly staff, beautiful brand new resort.
We spent a nice holiday in Tancau Village Resort. The swimming pool is big (1000m2) and has good access also for the children. Our 2 years old daughter loved it. The beach next to the resort is nice, but there are much nicer beaches around - Lido di Orri 15 minutes by car. The most beautiful beaches are in Golfo di Orosei, that are reachable only by boat. We took a charter cruise there, but we rented a gummoni boat too. Gummoni trip was definitely the best experience from Sardinia and is safe also for children. Ask senore Luigi on reception to arrange your trip. The cleaning service was once per 4 day, which is not enough, especially if you have a child. We have ants in our kitchen. The staff use some remedies to keep them out, but they came back in next days.
Nice resort, but in is in the midle of nowhere. Espicially in non-season time, there is nothing you can do...You need a car definetly, otherwise you can rent bikes for free at resort, but the distance to first bigger city or beautiful beaches is too far for bike. Resort do not have 24h reception, only from 9h to 19h, so you have to check-in before 7. P.M, but when they are in, they are very nice and helpful Around resort is almost nothing, one small city 10 minutes by foot, and one big city (Tortoli) 15 minutes by bus. Wi-fi has very week signal in all resort and sometimes it is impossible to connect.
We always travel when it is "off season". I liked quietness, beach and room facilities there. Everything was like I expected. Value for money.
excellent seaside location very quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool and apartment were very good quality.car hire probably recommended ,althugh there are local buses but it is quite a remote area.
This hotel really surprised me. It has a great location and its own little beach with deck chairs. Along the road there are some fantastic seafront restaurants and you really feel like you are away from it all. This is a highly recommended stop for a day or three when travelling through Sardinia. It is a very quiet area. This obviously isn't a bad thing, but better to go with your partner or as a group, not as a solo traveller looking to meet other people.
