I came to write, work on a seminar. Staff was very friendly. Upon leaving I had the assistance of a very fine gentleman who helped me out in more ways than imaginable especially when I returned to Lukla on my way back to KTM. For meeting him alone I am thankful that I stayed at YGH,
I was the only guest for the 3 days I stayed. Food: USD20.00 per meal. Recommended, go outside for meals (to which I concurred). The room was extremely cold. I had to ask for a thermos of hot water. Tea was available upon request, yet staff was sometime not to be found. I was locked out the first night and had to alert the manager who happened outside his room to an adjacent room. Manager checked the next to nights that I was in my room before securing the building.
Electric blanket and the comfort bed. Nice Dining Room.
The manager attitude ! The first conversation to me was: "Did you know the room charge !" The Bath room wall tiles were broken and cracked! Shower tube leakage!!
Clean room, electric sheets, thoughtful decor, great location.
The 'manager' of this particular hotel was brutish, even thugish. Booked my stay online for a price, then after 8hrs of trekking, insisted on another price. Owners would not like his representation...
