Access to pool sand fitness centre, nice grounds
Interesting building in a beautiful area. The owner obviously loves his hotel and it's his home. He runs it by himself so don't be put off by a few cobwebs and an unhoovered entrance. Our room was clean our sheets crisp. I would have enjoyed hearing about the history of the building.
Its a shame that there is no restaurant as we don't always want to go out to eat. However the green dragon pub close by was good for evening meals.
This was the most run down hotel I have ever been too. The driveway was full of potholes and barely accessable, the flower pots were full of dead weeds, there was no one at the reception when we got there and I had to go and find him. The decor was horrendous, like it hadn't been touched in over 50 years. The room was fairly clean, but the pillows were ancient, the cups for tea were mismatched and the milk was out of date. The bathroom was fairly clean, except for the loo which hadn't been wiped and had hairs behind the seat. We didn't stay for breakfast because we couldn't face it. They also charged me £148 for the room when it should have been £129, but it was too much effort to argue with the strange man who gave us our room key
Everything you should not be putting this on your site as it will give you booking . Com a bad name
Too expensive for a 2 star, the room smelt dusty, old pillows and a moth grub wriggling on one of them. Also I thought I booked one night and he told me it was 2 nights although my confirmation from you said 1 night. I paid for 2 was that right?
