roomy no air conditioning
Good environment, facility, all tools in the room. Very considerate. Better if having Wifi.
Friendly staff Shower and bath room were smelly
Well maintenance. Perfect for family with children. Amazing environment. Distance to Yellowstone is a little bit long(20 minutes drive). No wifi in the room.
Closer to Yellowstone, staff is really helpful, apt is great with attached bathrooms, kitchen with all amenities including refrigerator and dishwasher, three televisions one each in bedrooms and in living room, laundry inside the apartment....
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, rustic decor, pool, dry sauna, fitness room and breakfast all worked for me! Easy location to main street and park. Value price for end of season. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend.
Paul at the front desk is awesome! Any questions we had he had the answers for us. Whether it was dining or entertainment he knew it and provided it! They need a mini fridge in room is all I can think of.
Comfortable spacious lodging well situated to the dining and pub opportunities in the small town center. The gracious lobby had multiple great game trophies to admire and inspect. Staff was welcoming. Great self serve breakfast in a large dining area. Our room with the king size bed had an excellent mattress, much appreciated after a day of exploring the Park.
Mediocre Our room was too small, bed too small, and it smelled of cat odor for $250 a night online. Our friends down the hall had king bed, large bath with granite counters,& frig. for the same price. We had a small closet 6 in.deep , only room for 3 garments on each side. Breakfast was average and very crowded. Location was good and close to main street. We would not stay here again. I tried to fill in the survey
Nice, authentic, western feel with stuff grizzlies, walls and more in the lobby and beautiful woodwork. Rooms have been redecorated Nice, authentic, western feel with stuff grizzlies, walls and more in the lobby and beautiful woodwork. Rooms have been redecorated.
Close to Yellowstone park entrance and the Rendezvous ski trails. Exceptional value. Very comfortable room. Breakfast included, and involves the use of paper plates and bowls instead of the usual styrofoam, which was appreciated.
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Bathroom was small, but not uncomfortably so. AC worked well and maintained a consistent room temperature. Internet connected quickly, and was reasonably fast. Big selection of TV channels. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value. Convenient location, easy walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping. If you recognize that this is an older, classic style (with real room keys) travel-motel, and have reasonable expectations, you will love this place! Tight parking.
Staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and well kept. Location was right outside West Yellowstone National park entrance. Plenty of restaurants nearby and inside hotel.
We enjoyed our stay in West Yellowstone. I was happy with the Holiday in because I was looking for a two bedroom suite and this was very nice. It was a little bit expensive and didn't include breakfast but would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was huge and everything was sparkling clean and looked new. Maintenance was excellent. I wish it offered a free breakfast.
We were in town visiting our son and wanted more than a hotel room. We were gladly surprised when we arrived as the room was very clean and spacious with an in room refrigerator and separate sitting area. It is located within walking distance of Main Street, West Yellowstone as well as the entrance to West Yellowstone. We will definately stay here again.
Great location, close to everything. Very nice hotel, rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and I am very picky.
Room was clean and property was nice. Prices for meals in resturant were very high, but everything in West Yellowstone, MT was overpriced. Holiday Inn is very convenient for visting Yellowstone National Park.
This was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. We got one of the king rooms with hot tub and loved it. We will be staying there many more times.
This is the best of the lot in West Yellowstone. Good restaurant, heated pool, laundry room, nice bar, gambling. You are going to overpay to stay in this town, but it is a fantastic location if you can't stay in the park. The breakfast (not complementary) quality was very good and the bar has an absolutely fantastic selection of local microbrews if you like that sort of thing. HD TV in the room was an added plus. The place was undergoing major renovation when we stayed so it will likely be nicer afterward. The staff was kind enough to ship our daughter's beloved stuffed cow back to us in Texas after she forgot it. We used everything there with no problem: the bar, the restaurant, the laundry room, the pool. I recommend with the understanding that it's more expensive than a Holiday Inn ought to be. Quibbles: beds a tad small; internet in business center was slow.
When I booked this hotel I was a bit hesitant on how it would be but all my fears were quickly reversed! Great staff, clean lobby, amazingly clean bathrooms, Eco-water fill (near restaurant you can refill your water bottles with purified water which was very nice) quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Everything I was hoping for and then some. Only downsides, at least to us and this is probably due to the fact that we live in vegas and are used to a 24 hour town, the breakfast does not start until 7 which is late to us. We went into the park at 6:15am and wanted breakfast before but no chance. Make sure you know when you are going places if you pay the extra for the breakfast tickets. We ended up wasting 2 for this reason. The second morning we did get breakfast and used the coupons but we did have a couple issues. The waiter told us his life story and how he was not a morning person and would probably screw up our order, well he did. This annoyed us, he also told us some of the issues with the hotel/restaurant which we did not want to hear or deal with. Was he having a bad day, yes, he was also hung over or at least smelled of booze which was not pleasant. It seems the hotel/restaurant likes to hire people from all over as we did not meet a local person there, which seemed a bit odd to us. The food was amazing and our server on the first night Michael was awesome!! We asked him several questions about the area and while he freely said he was not form the area he did go out of his way to find the answers for us and was extremely prompt taking our order and making sure we were taken care of. The rooms are very nice, clean and the best part, to me, the sink is in the main area versus inside the bathroom which makes getting ready easier, at least for my wife and I. Distance to the gate for the park is literally just down the street along with the Bear and Wolf reserve. When we come back we will only stay at this hotel! Amazing time and some of the best sleep I have gotten in ...
We loved this place. It was very convenient to the park and could walk anyplace in West Yellowstone. Room was larger than normal hotel rooms and very pretty and clean. I would definately stay there again.
The rooms were older but seemed fine except for a noisy air conditioner. However, the service at the resturant was lacking and the food was poor especially for the price. Our waitress did not have any patience for children. Other than that, we enjoyed Yellowstone alot, very beautiful and fasinating.
Expensive, out dated rooms in needs of renovation. Noisy, with thin walls. You can hear all conversations from your neighbors. Had to get up twice to report a noisy neighbor above me. The staff finally did something on the second request. In fairness, the hotel management refunded one nights stay as compensation. Will not stay there again.
The bed was comfy and soft and the rim was clean. The breakfast was very mediocre for the price of the hotel.
Staff were very helpful even when the cattle bus arrived with 60 people standing in the lobby and we could not even get in to go to our room! The TV is much too limited with no direct TV or good channels and no guide for the channel list!
Good location for national park as well as within West Yellowstone. Room of adequate size (spacieous) Air conditioning loud and cannot be well controlled (heard advice to another guest: just unplug it, this is the only way to make it off and quiet)
The hotel had air conditioning. It look at least five attempts to open the room with the card key.
A really fantastic place to stay over night near to the Yellowstone Park. Good price, great service - recommendable!
Excellent location. Nice big room with fridge and microwave. The hotel is only a few years old but it already needs a renovation. The staff wasn't very friendly. We also find the hotel overpriced.
The hotel was comfortable and convenient. The continental breakfast did not meet my expectations.
The check-in staff were very helpful in getting me a room that suited my needs,Very convenient to Yellowstone Park. Breakfast was mediocre. My room was not cleaned well.
The location was perfect, we were able to walk to places in Weat Yellowstone for dinner and shopping. And it's really close to the Grizzly and Wolf center! We arrived early and they were very accommodating in letting us check in. Staff very friendly and attentive to our needs. For the amount spent for each night it would've been nice to have more selections for breakfast. We knew beforehand that it was a limited selection so we were prepared with other snacks we brought. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay!
Lodge Outside not well maintained.
Quaint with log furnishings but not Eagan one comfortable seat See. Above
Character, outside chairs, river view, peaceful, great dinner Breakfast
The atmosphere, the surroundings Lack of service, no towels one day, no soap or toilet paper another and rooms weren't made on 2 days.
Room had a cabin feel on the inside, a crap motel on the outside. Staff was young, hep and very nice. Wanted to ask them if they were being held there against their will ... 'Blink three times if you need help '. West Yellowstone is the Tijuana of the park...avoid it. Go to Jackson instead and actually enjoy your vacation. Yellowstone NP was awesome. Paper thin walls. Cramped. Rip off prices, even though it was probably one of the cheapest places in town. I guess I got what I paid for. Will NOT stay there again. Maybe I should have pitched a tent.
Bed was comfortable. Very small unit. Spartan. Bathroom was walk in-back out.
The Yellowstone Lodge is an adequate stay in an old hotel. Breakfast was nothing special and the rooms were old.
Comfortable beds in a very clean room. The customer service was impeccable! For the money, this is by far the best place to stay while visiting Yellowstone.
Bed was defective. Internet did not work
Compared to other hotels in the area, it was a good value. The room was clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was very good.
Fairly clean, easy parking and hot breakfast. It's always better to stay in the park if it's going to be for a night or two. The line of cars to get into Yellowstone was very long. It's time wasted.
Great location close to all restaurants and shops. Comfortable bed and good shower. Walls were quite thin and heard a bit of noise but other than that it was a comfortable stay.
Location was good. Staff was courteous, place was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not great: pre-made "omlettes" and waffles were pretty lame.
Other than the lack of hot water, this place was great There were two mornings there was no hot water at all for a shower
Convenience No pool
It was ideally placed in West Yellowstone for our trip, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly, we would stay there again
The rooms were cleaned very well, and the stuff was friendly nothing
It is very close to the park entrance, actually right at the entrance. And there are restaurants and bars right next door. No WiFi. Check-out is very early, TV does not work very well. All the installations are rather old, although clean.
perfect hotel,i will booking again
It's location relative to Yellowstone. The layout of the motel was somewhat ackward relative to the room I had but it worked out just fine after I got to the room.
The closeness to Yellowstone
We were upgraded to the family suite which was much roomier and more comfortable for our family.
convenient location, large room, nice and clean, good price no air conditionning although not really hot at night and there was a large fan provided.
location only attitude of owner
We were traveling as a group of bicyclists. Although bicycles were not permitted in room, manager found a nearby safe and convenient storage for our bicycles. I don't smoke, but members of our party do. They had to leave the property completely, not just the rooms, to smoke. Potential customers should be notified of this unusual policy when booking.
plenty of parking convenient for west entrance of Yellowstone park Limited Breakfast items Dated Decor and furniture Slow WiFi speed Summer rate too high for the quality
Comfortable beds, clean, large room
Closeness to park
Staff, breakfast selection, whole accommodation nothing
The hotel's proximity to the west entrance of Yellowstone is very convenient. The free breakfast is a nice touch.
Very nice facilities. It was a great place to stay!
Really clean, large room, really friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Really not much not to like
Staff was very helpful. I would have liked more & better plugs in the room for electronics. The coffee pot needed to be cleaned. Someone poured coffee where only water should have been. This would be an outstanding hotel for snowmobile season. It was a good hotel for going to Yellowstone. But it is 20 min away and that means you have to go in and out of the park every day. Better to use this hotel for just 1 night on the way to or from the Park.
