Pros: Staff are excellent. Room was perfect. Park was very relaxing. Restaurant was consistently good. Pools were ideal. In summary, couldn't recommend this place more highly
Pros: Spacious room and toilet and balcony. Comfortable bed. Friendly staffs.
Cons: The breakfast variations could be better

Guests can enjoy home-style Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner upon request. Local restaurants can be found within a 5-minute ride from the property.
Pros: Paid extra for dinners and they were the best meals we’ve had in Thailand so far. Great coffee too. Beautiful property. And Guy and Meow are a class act—wonderful hosts. Favorite place to stay so far.
Cons: The beds were a bit harder than average and I could feel mattress springs a little bit. Maybe they should be replaced?
Pros: Very good dinner and location.
Pros: Large space
Cons: No wifi
Pros: The gardens, the cleanliness of the bungalow, the owners, childrens and dogs, the area and surroundings which are really beautiful. The dinner that they prepared forbus was delicious. A really nice human experience !
Pros: Miou and Guy are wonderful hosts. Miou cooks meals that are absolutely delicious. Guy has a lot of interesting information to share about the area. Super nice to sit on our bungalow porch in the morning in such a serene spot. Loved it.
Cons: Maybe just a bit more information about the surrounding area. I would warn people away from the coffee shop at the end of the street. The food there at the nearby restaurant made us sick. Instead....stay and eat Miou's food.
Pros: Beautiful, quiet resort with only 2 bungalows. Excellent fresh food prepared by the family. The resort is down a quiet road leading to the lake, so very little traffic. The bungalows are large and spotlessly clean. One of the best places we stayed in Thailand.
Pros: Quiet property in beautiful surroundings. Fantastic staff service, very homely and welcoming. Delicious evening meal at a small extra fee. Big comfortable bungalow with a veranda.
Cons: More variety for breakfast would be preferable. (I was given 4 slices of toast with butter/strawberry Jam and coffee)
Pros: The place is so peaceful and beautiful! He bungalows are very far from each other so there is total privacy. There is a little stream right in front of the bungalow also. The Meow cooked was super tasty and she even brought it to my bungalow! Great bed also! :)
Pros: The privacy is the keyword. Lichi trees, nice pond and silence- what else can man ask for relax

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: nice scenery, nice weather
Cons: no bellboy to carry bags
Pros: The room itself was lovely, really top notch with a beautiful shower and very inviting. The location is wonderful and the reviews are spectacular though not from the rooms.
Cons: We paid nearly double what is an offer from other similar hotels because of the shops, restaurants, and other amenities to be enjoyed. We arrived and found them all to be close by 8 PM with no other options in sight.
Pros: Landscape and atmosphere
Pros: Warm welcome with nice staffs
Pros: Good location
Cons: High price
Pros: the room was decent, clean and good facilities. Breakfast is good, they come up with choices, American breakfast or boiled rice with pork with mushroom pick one you prefer. Fresh air, free parking space. Love it!
With a stay at Kaeo Fa Sai Resort in Chiang Rai, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Mae Fah Luang University and Karen Lahwi Village. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Staff, bed, insects
Pros: Staffs are so friendly and helpful, we arrived late during our check in, at 11pm, but yet they are still willing to wait for us, and served us with a big smile on their face. The room was really clean and we love the environment of the resort so much, we feel very relaxed staying there and the mountain view was great. The place might be a bit far (20 minutes) from town but its not really a big problem if u are driving a car like I did. I would definitely consider this resort again if I visit Chiang Rai in the future.
Cons: The breakfast can be improved, butter and jam were not provided (only sweetened condensed milk provided) even though bread was provided. We understand that it was hard to provide too many variety of food for the breakfast buffet, as they don't always have that many guest to consume the big amount of food prepared, so my suggestion is: maybe during those days with lesser guest, they could use a la carte menu instead of providing breakfast buffet.
Pros: Very good customer service - despite we were given the wrong room type upon check-in, Patrick called and apologise within an hour. We received much better rooms the next day. Patrick even paid for our dinner to express his apology. Staff at the resort is really nice and polite. They helped to move all our luggages to the new rooms perfectly. Dinner at the restaurant was very pleasant. All dishes were tailored to our "no spicy" request perfectly. Service was good and efficient. Place is really clean and comfortable.
Cons: The only suggestion is signboard on the main road could be a bit bigger to make navigation easier.
Pros: I like everythings, staff, location at the very nice nature, big and clean bongalow. Thw breakfast is great!! Very clean and nice swimming pool!
Pros: Food were excellent, there's a good chef who knows Thai & farang food. A very relaxing resort to stay away from buzzing Bangkok, environment is close to nature. Management & staff are very friendly and helpful, they speak English.
Pros: The owner of the place really helped me get to his resort even though it was late at night. The cabin is perched on the top of steep slope, the views from the terrace are amazing. The owner's family made me feel as if I were their family friend. I experienced the Akha way of live. They have a principle that local children show you around the village and their parents show you their bamboo houses. Everybody was very friendly, remarkable people. Those Akha people are amazing. A truly memorable experience. Delicious food. The owner gave me a freshly-picked papaya for free. I tasted coffee that was roasted 3 day ago. Definitely one of the best coffees I have tasted.
Pros: The people who took care of us were very hospitable and welcoming; the view was absolutely incredible. We are so thankful to have been able to stay in this small community.
Pros: The food the people are awesome will definitely coming back again some days.
Pros: There were many things to be liked about this property, such as friendly, approachable and helpful staff, beautiful location, a funny talking bird and a cuddly dog. The breakfast was also tasty and the experience of staying here could have been excellent.
Cons: What we didn't appreciate was the extortionate price for what was a simple (yet tasty) dinner. The property is located in the mountains, with small and windy mountain roads getting us there. This was great. After all, this experience is why we chose to stay there (and the unique experience is definitely reflected in the room price). It also means that leaving after dark is not recommendable, and there are no shops or other restaurants nearby. Upon arrival we were offered a buffet, consisting out of 4 local Thai dishes to share (a clear soup, a vegetable dish, omelette and a minced meat dish) and a sauce. Dishes that, in my experience of living in Thailand for > 4 years, would normally cost 35-50 Baht. We were charged 300 Baht per person, 600 Baht in total. With nowhere else to go, and owners clearly being fully aware of this, it made the experience of staying at this property as being stuck in just another tourist trap.
Pros: view from the terrace, arrangement of the hostel, food, staff, environment
Cons: no any
Pros: Staff was very nice, informative, and food was great!
Cons: Access to the accomodation.
Pros: Beautiful view although the smog did not allow for a full appreciation. Warm welcome although we were not really expected... and communication via photos and Google translation... very enjoyable stay!
Cons: Mattress was a bit "rough"; you can feel the springs through the bedding... not great for sleeping... price a bit excessive for local standards... and that is without breakfast!
Pros: I love their traditional lifestyle and the attractive environment surrounded
Pros: Owner friendliness, warm welcome, tasty food, atmosphere and view are also wonderful. The neighborhood people are also friendly. We can walk around the village or easily trekking.
Pros: The hotel is about one year old and you can see it. Everything is nice and clean. The hotel is almost in the middle of Measalong, but the traffic noise does not disturb you. There is also a lot of parking space available. The included breakfast was very delicious based on an American breakfast. Even tea tasting was offered and I can recommend the own teas of the house. I have stayed in many hotels in Measalong, but this is by far the best one.
Pros: The room was comfortable, clean and quiet (just behind the main road of maesalong). The owner was very helpful suggesting us a few things to see nearby, and speaks English very well.
Pros: Very helpful Hotel Owner, extremely delicious breakfast and cosy rooms with nice balconies! An absolute recommendation for Mae Salong!
Pros: Spacious, clean and well kept throughout. Almost new property. Owner was hospitable and helpful. Afforded good information for food and tours in the area. Home made breakfast was yummy. Location is in the center of town. Many restaurant choices available.
Cons: Internet is only available in the reception during my stay
When you stay at Shin Sane Guesthouse in Mae Fa Luang, you'll be 10 minutes by foot from Mae Salong Temple. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We stayed for one night at Shin Sane guesthouse. Room came with a fan, which is more than enough since it’s not that warm in Mae Salong. Shared toilets and showers were very clean (till some other bathroom destroyers started using them ;-)). It’s possible to have breakfast for a reasonable price.
Pros: Good location and good roms.
Cons: Great location in the heart of Mae Salong... awesome breakfast cooked to order
Pros: Location in center of town area although it was a bit hard to find a first being located near the market.
Cons: Too start with the bathroom had a vile stench coming from a drain to the point we needed to keep the door closed so it didn't smell out the room. We booked this also as we read that breakfast was available for 75b per head and also dinner at 150b per head. When we asked the owner didn't seem to receptive and suggested we find a place further along the road.
Pros: Clean comfortable room, helpful owner; central and convenient location for food choices, walk arounds, transport and a 7-Eleven!
Pros: Really nice atmosphere and an ideal location, centrally located within the village:)
Pros: The owners are absolutely kindly people. And they grow and sell the best oolong tea I have tested in my life. Thank you so much. This days in low season was the best in the trip.
Pros: Very friendly staff and great scenery
Pros: The view is stunning and the owner really lovely. Clean, well located, perfect for a couple.
Pros: The view is amazing. Probably the best view of the mountains and the valley. It definitely is the best value view in Mae Salong.
Pros: The view from my room was amazing!
Cons: It was very noisy being next to the room and you could hear the neighbors in the next room.
Pros: Tea tasting upon arrival. The room is large enough and has a terrace with a splendid view over the mountains. Mosquito protection screens. Very friendly owner, but with little knowledge of the area. Good Chinese breakfast with rice soup, also toasts and jam. Mostly good internet.
Cons: A little far from the centre and restaurants; you need a car. The room is not very pleasant or comfortable: dark green walls, little light in the evening, no furniture to put suitcases, only a hard bamboo bench to sit (on the terrace). Not clean (many spider webs on the ceiling in the bathroom). No daily cleaning; our towels stayed wet with the humid weather. Soap only upon request. Every day we had to ask for water and toilet paper. Very hard mattress, even for my wife who is Thai. Only cash payment. We saw several other hotels in town with a better quality for a lower price, others (down the road towards town) of much better quality for the same price and the same view. But book early in winter months. So, sorry for next time...
Located in Mae Sai, Doitung View Resort is within a 15-minute drive of Mae Fa Luang Botanical Garden and Doi Tung Royal Villa. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Feel peaceful.
Cons: I found big spider and gecko in the room
Pros: Very nice and beautiful place. Easy to access other places in the area. Friendly staff and owner.
Cons: The bathroom door was a bit too low so we hit our head during our stay. A bit too loud in the morning because they were doing the garden but it's ok
Pros: The resort is located just at the perfect location. Close to the main road but not noisy at all, very peaceful, also not far from tourist attractions such as tea plantations and Mae Fah Luang Garden. Khun Ball, the owner, and his staff are very nice and gave us the best and warm service. Will for sure coming back here when traveling to Chiang Rai again. Don’t miss this place ! :)
Pros: The place is very cottage like and the rooms were very warm and homely.
Cons: There was no breakfast. It will be great if simple breakfast can be provided

Cons: The shower is not good and warm water is not stable temperature. Breakfast is quit few.

Cons: Other guests were inconsiderate (loud music & door slamming) until 10 pm. Nearby rooster starts crowing at 5 am...
Cons: Worst welcome ever. Bed was so uncomfortable I had to use my camping gear !!
Pros: Great service in a beautiful part of town
Pros: Cheap price with everything you need, hot shower, free water, good aircon. Not too far from the tea plantation.
Cons: When we arrived, the owner tried to charge us more than the booking price, saying the room we booked was booked out. But in the end, we just paid the the same as listed online. The first room they gave us was dirty, has rat poo on one of the bed, pillow case was dirty too. We had to change to another room, which had rat poo on the balcony as well. But doesnt bother us since we didn't use the balcony. The bed was solid as a rock, one of the hardest in Thailand.

Pros: Clean room with comfortable bed. Close to the race venue. Friendly staff.
Cons: We were there for a trail race, second night when we got back from the race there is no power in the rooms, and we had to shower with cold water in a rainy cold day after a long day :(

Pros: The staff was great, we had a good chat and jokes through google translate
Pros: Beds comfortable Free watet
Cons: The hotel is further from the town than advertised Staff told us no restaurants in area but we found several TOO LATE Bathroom sink threatened collapse every time we touched it Aircon old and faulty
Pros: The staff is friendly. There were sets of soap, shampoo, etc. as well as conditioner and fan in the room. Clean and neat.
Cons: Later at night we heard some noise, probably it was due to working conditioners in other rooms. One more surprise waited for us: a 5 cm cockroach.
Pros: Quiet, clean, nice staff
Cons: All was ok, considering the price...
Pros: Staff are friendly and hepfull even not speak well in EL, need google translate
Cons: i arrived at 8:pm but everything closed almost, very difficult to get a taxi or tuk tuk, i have to walked 30mins from bus station to the hotel. if you want to have a breakfast there it invisible, i went to Golden Triangle at 8:am but nothing open.
Pros: For this price all was really good. If you need just place to stop for one night at the Gold Triangle district - it's your place!
Pros: Free coffee and tea in the reception area, as well as free water and a toaster. The room was large, AC worked well. Large fridge in the room as well. (Turn it down a bit, froze a water bottle haha). Short walk to food and restaurants/bars. We felt comfortable walking 8km to where the Golden Triangle point was. But you can find transportation if this is not for you. All in all we had a relatively nice time here.
Cons: A bit of a language barrier but it all worked out okay. The beds were fairly hard, woke up sore both days. The first morning we were woken up by housekeeping staff playing loud music on a speaker in the hallway while cleaning the other rooms. The next morning we were walked in on at 11:30 while getting ready to leave even though checkout is until 12. This was quite awkward but the staff apologised. We experienced one cockroach but this has seemed to be a usual experience here in Thailand, haha.

Pros: The room was really nice with a great view. staff was wonderful and helpful. Breakfast, ad hoc and very delicious! Area perfect, quite but close to the shops area.
Cons: overprice should not over 1500b per night
Pros: All staff very nice
Pros: The room was cleaned and it is quite big. This hotel provides many choices for breakfast such as noodle, English breakfast and Thai food as well. Hotel is near to Doi Tung, it takes around 20mins by car.
Cons: Wifi in my room doesn't work, I asked the staff at reception to solve the problem but they only said that "I can't help you". So, I can't use wifi while I'm staying in my room.

With a stay at Du Doi Suay Resort in Mae Sai, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Mae Sai Temple and Mae Sai Shrine. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was great. Many different choices of Thai food and a bit westernized toast & jam. All sorts of drinks imaginable available. Room had plenty of space, the shower was running strong and was comfortably warm. If you get the right room during good weather, you will probably have an amazing view of the Doi Nang Non. Staff were friendly. We forgot our strawberries in the fridge and only came back for it in the evening which they have kept for us. Now there's also a cafe next to the hotel called "Perng Khun Nam Nang Non" or in Thai เปิงขุนน้ำนางนอน which has budget friendly food and bevs as other restaurants are far away and the restaurant at the hotel seems to only serve breakfast.
Cons: There were some mosquitoes and other small bugs in the washroom but not too bad. Nothing like cockroaches so it was okay. Lack of staff at the reception, especially in the evening. Seems like reception is not 24/7. Location was also far from Mae Sai city (maybe that's the point?). The phone number according to booking.com did not work. Look out for the wifi password, that is probably the active phone number.
