The room was great and well equipped. Grounds are a peaceful get away. Jill was very informative and eager to please. We will defiantly go back.
Pros: This B&B was just what we wanted. We could easily walk to village or we could stay at the B&B and enjoy the quiet.
Cons: There are a lot of stairs that may prove challenging for some.
Excellent! Beautiful, clean, friendly and great location.
Pros: This B & B was a find!!!! Beautiful and very inviting. Super location. Jill was very helpful and nice.
Serenity Now puts you just a 5-minute drive from 6,000 Steps Nature Trail. Guests can enjoy the indoor pool, and hiking/biking trails, downhill skiing, and snowmobiling are nearby. There's also an outdoor pool, and rooms offer DVD players and free WiFi.
Pros: the staff are nice, understanding, and helpful of the guests needs. We were allowed to keep our bikes in the room. The man at the front desk where helpful on giving us the run down of the bike park and what events were going on for the time of our stay.
Cons: The place seemed a bit out dated and I noticed that there was a musky smell to the room. I believe that if we would've asked to move to a different room they would've done so. We where just going to be there for such a short while and being all guys, we didn't care that much.
Pros: The hotel offers the basics at a good rate.
Cons: The county is a quiet zone - no cell phones will work except at the resort itself. The wifi at the hotel works in the lobby, but might get overloaded if too many people sign on.
Pros: free upgrade due to power outage
clean, modern room
plenty of activities
Cons: very few good places to sit outside
many places closed on Thursday
allow ATV's on many hiking trails
Pros: Liked the cost. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Slightly unclean rooms. Needed minor touchup. Facility is aging and should be renovated. Also, it seems this is where the teenage mountain staff hangs out until their parents pick them up, so it can be noisy in the common areas at night.
Pros: Near Raven golf course.
Staff replaced TV quickly.
Cons: Little sound proofing so can be noisy.
TV didn't work.
Wifi only in lobbies.
Pros: This place is cheap. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest place to stay so you can spend the rest of your money on gear and food on the mountain, then this is the place for you. I was floored by their free breakfast. We had ours on the weekend so I can't comment for weekday ones, but as a long time Marriott customer, the breakfast at the Inn was on par with the standard buffet breakfasts you get from a Marriott (except there's no omelettes). Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Dingy, weird spots on the walls and ceilings, pretty far from the mountain, but I knew all of this coming in and saving over $100 a night is worth it as someone fresh out of college. If I were to go back to snowshoe I would probably stay in the village simply for the convenience of location. Wifi only in the lounge was kind of a pain, but honestly it was kind of nice having no phone signal or internet for a few days.
The Inn at Snowshoe features a free ski shuttle and puts you within a 15-minute drive of 6,000 Steps Nature Trail. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool or grab a bite to eat at Brandis, which serves breakfast and dinner. Other features include a bar/lounge and a spa tub. Skiers will appreciate access to ski passes and lessons.
Pros: Very close to ski slopes and the restaurants at snowshoe.
Cons: The room was very small, and the bed was worn out. Could have been a bit cleaner too.
Highland House offers a fantastic location, putting you just steps from 6,000 Steps Nature Trail. Guests can enjoy the fitness center, along with onsite snowboarding. Other features include a spa tub and a sauna.
Pros: Rooms were clean, organized, owners has no issues with us having an extra person. Overall we had a good experience. All of the staff were extremely welcoming, nice, and very helpful. Their bar was the local hang out and everyone was nice, we had a blast, they even had a local country singer perform one night. Will be staying here next year for our snowboarding trip.
Cons: If you have kids not much for them to do. Needed a microwave in the room. Got sick of walking to the office.
Pros: fun staff, clean, well put together, VERY convenient stay for mountain ski
Would go back in a heartbeat
Cons: Two day ski pass, but only able to use one for bad weather. little upset wasted money
