Reviews about Riad Camilia
“Excellent riad! Staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are comfortable and spacious, food is very tasty.”
“Anas is an extraordinary host/manager - he really does his best to make your stay nice. He provided a lot of hits about places worth visiting (restaurants etc.) and everything what I visited out of his list was worth of it. The place it self is very quite and helps you to get some relax after a day spent outside.”
“I'm not sure how many ways I can espouse the beauty of this Riad. Let's start by saying Anas is a brick. He always seemed to be around, always willing to help, and most importantly always with a smile and good humor. In hindsight, I think we'd have been lost without is help. The basics: The Riad is beautiful. The rooms (that we saw) are lovely. Judging by how ours was, the photos of the other rooms will not lie. The central garden is peaceful and a wonderful place to have a cup of fresh mint tea. Breakfast was simple and varied, always served with a smile. The day we left for simplicity we had lunch at the Riad and my goodness, we were full! In other words, food and hospitality was top notch. The entrance to the Riad is a bit daunting. It's down a small passage, that gets smaller, narrower and darker the further you go. The door at the end is not obvious when you start, so it can be a bit concerning. However, once the door opens you understand the whole concept of keeping the outside out, and the inside in. The Riad is apparently four buildings joined together over time to make what is at first a bit of a maze, but after a little while you realize it's not so complex after all, and you find your way around, although I did turn around quite a bit. The rooftop deck is expansive, lots of nooks and crannies if you want to hide away and read. We were able to drink a bottle of wine and it came with some condiments, which was wonderful after a day of walking the old city. It was lovely to relax and enjoy the January sun in the late afternoon. My opinion has always been "people make the place" and it's true here. The staff were lovely, always helpful, always smiling. We absolutely fell in love with the old city of Marrakesh and will be going back. Our first port of call will be Riad Camilia. All in all, with all the traveling I've done over the years, I cannot recommend this place more highly.”
“The staff at this venue go the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. The place is beautiful inside and although it is in the Medina it is peaceful.”
“Great team. Anas is the perfect manager”
