Pros: Great place to relax, beautiful room in a great old house. Paula was very graceful, helpful, accommodating. Very welcoming feeling.
Pros: Paula was wonderful. Rooms were gorgeous. Terrace was gorgeous. Breakfast was lovely. We had a great stay.
Pros: We stayed for a week and had an amazing time! Paula, the owner/care-taker, is super friendly always taking a lot of time to give great recommendations of things to do and see, and which restaurants to go to. The room was very comfortable and the building in general is so nice with the quiet garden, very peaceful. Great, super-fresh, breakfast too. And then it's very easy to reach from the train station + the beach is just a 10 minute walk away and there's tons of great restaurants just around the corner. Highly recommendable!
Pros: Beautiful house, comfortable rooms, large bathroom, authentic Spanish atmosphere, excellent location: 5 min walk to the beaches (ordinary and nudist if you like)), 1 min parking. several very testy local restaurants nearby, local market 2 min. nice small city. Excellent choice if you need/want sometimes to go to Barcelona or/and Costa Brava or/and stay in the peaceful nice place close to the beach. Good breakfast. Fast and curious turtle)) Charming Paula. Thank you!
Pros: Paula was very nice and welcoming! Building was unexceptional with a very good location and absolutely cool :)
Pros: Paula is a lovely host, and treats you as a friend, nothing is too much trouble. This is our second stay and won’t be our last! Location is excellent a few minutes walk from both beach and some great eateries. Thoroughly recommend this lovely B&B.
Pros: Friendly host & Excellent breakfast! Nice beaches!
Pros: Stunning place, beautiful rooms with character and charm Fabulous breakfast and a super support from our hostess.
Cons: Nothing- thisnplace is wonderful!
Pros: This place is really a gem. Located in the lower part of Caldetas, it has a sweet backyard to let the day come to an end and is located close to the beach. Paula & her colleagues are very lovely, approachable and caring hosts. I did not just feel welcome, but at home.
Pros: The location near the beach with excellent restaurants, spacious guest room and style blending fun, humour and art. Breakfast was wonderful.
With a stay at Hotel Kalima in Caldes d'Estrac, you'll be on the beach, just a 1-minute walk from Caldetes Beach and 6 minutes by foot from Palau Foundation. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a bus station shuttle.
Pros: This is a beautiful, historic building with many individual features. The owners made us extremely welocome. Our room (number 2) overlooked the sea and had a balcony which allowed for great views. We were attending a wedding and our transport did not arrive and Carlos used his own car to ensure that we arrived on time. Great customer service and that personal touch that makes all the difference....thank you.
Cons: The shower is a little small but we understand that sometimes you have to work around heritage buildings.
Pros: Attention and attitude from the hosts are just wonderful! We felt like we were visiting old friends. The hotel is an amazing building dated 1910 with only 11 rooms, charming aura and close to the sea. We were with an infant and found out all the facilities are quite comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Kind helpful staff. Steps to the beach. VIEW.
Cons: Air conditioning did not work. Sea breeze was nice.
Pros: We really enjoyed the charm the Hotel Kalima has, the building is beautiful and the interior well chosen, very charming and hospitable. The owner is a wonderful man who is always friendly, makes you feel welcome and sees to you having a lovely stay. He dishes up a delicious breakfast, too. :)
Cons: The only thing that substracts a few points from the otherwise perfect score that Hotel Kalima gets for being a truly wonderful place to stay in, is that the room was somewhat small and didn't have a chair and table or couch to sit on. But you could always spend time in the lobby or on the downstairs balcony.
Pros: Lovely breakfast however it lacked a soft boiled egg & 'pan intergral'. View was amazing. Welcome was super friendly.
Cons: Small-ish shower
Pros: It was all ver good, ubication, room, views, cleaness and the staff is very nice and helpfull.
Pros: The staff, the mattress, the help and service, location was awesome! Easy and cheap to get there.
Cons: The low ceiling but it was OK because I only slept in the room.
Pros: Staff friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely little hotel. I've stayed in a lot.
Pros: + Hospitality and service cannot be better + View from the room is fantastic + Ideal place for a short stay (as rooms are small, for longer time of stay I'd prefer bigger rooms) + Home made yogurt and carrot cake was excellent! + Very clean
Just 5 minutes to the beach and half an hour to Barcelona, this boutique hotel boasts stylish bedrooms with balconies and hot tubs. Cool off in the outdoor pool and dine in the Mediterranean restaurant. Located in Sant Vincenç de Montalt, you are just 2 km from the pretty Catalonian beaches and Port Balis's nautical club. Golf lovers can make the most of nearby courses 500 m away. Each bedroom at the Montaltmar is smartly decorated in organic tones and enjoys plenty of sunlight from the balcony. From here, admire sea views. You can listen to your favourite tunes on the iPod connection or enjoy a DVD from the Montalmars collection. After a day exploring the area, relax in the Spanish sunshine beside the Montaltmar pool and then have a refreshing dip. After dinner, head to the bar for a drink among friends or sit back in the Montaltmar's lounge area with TV.
Pros: Excellent place for a romantic weekend with a extraordinary gastronomic experience. Especially those never ending breakfasts!
Cons: I don't reckon anything to be improved
Pros: The Owner Maite and the staff couldnt do enough for us. We had a superior room which was above expectation with brilliant AC, jacuzzi, huge balcony which overlooked the pool, lots little extras in the bathroom. Maite offered us a cool drink on the house on arrival. The breakfast was very good and we also had evening meals for the three nights we stayed. The hotel was quite tricky to locate even with the SAT nav, We thorough enjoyed our stay & had a very chilled and relaxing stay
Pros: Everything was top quality, nothing too much trouble would highly recommend
Cons: Bed a little firm
Pros: It's the second time we are in this Hotel and both time were excellent. The staff is great and they are always taking care of any detail you might need. Room is quite big and it has a Jacuzzi with view to the sea. Swimming pool is very relaxing and isolated from the neighborhood. Food in the restaurant is excellent, as well as the breakfast.
Pros: Jordi and his mother could not have been more welcoming. Hotel very well appointed in a quiet suburb. Lovely pool and lots of nice touches. Everything at Montaltmar is top quality and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
Cons: Nothing at all. A perfect place to stay.
With a stay at Hotel Mas de Baix in Cabrils, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Illa Fantasia and Premia de Mar Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: My partner and I have just come back from one of the best holidays we’ve had. The Mas De Baix was not only thoroughly relaxing but clean and very quiet. The panoramic views were just sublime. Very satisfied
Pros: It is a very peaceful village,a historical house transformed into a 4 stars hotel,I felt there I was back in time but with all the information from our time(wifi, modern bathroom, baldacchino bad).I liked the place enormous and I am sorry we hadn’ t enough time to stay more...
Cons: It is a bit difficult to access to the hotel.I don’ t know if there is a bus and the distance ( aprox 45 minutes ) by taxi is not very cheap. The owner was very kind and provided us a taxi but the money for the taxi (go-return)was the equivalent of the price of a night at the hotel.
Pros: Historic, beatiful building, very unique
Cons: A bit complicated to find with Google maps because there are planty of one way streets. On Sunday/Monday there is only one pizzeria open for a supper. However, it’s a nice one.
Pros: Our hosts were lovely and they were very helpful in every way. They gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. We were treated like family and didn’t t want to leave. Mas de Baix is a perfect haven and food for the soul.
Cons: Bedside lighting
Pros: Great staff! They are very friendly and service oriented.
Cons: I liked nearly everything, but if I have to include something that can be improved, I would say the breakfast. The price is good, but I would have payed a higher price for a more varied breakfast.
Pros: Staying at Mas de Baix has been such a treat. Valeria and Fernando are lovely and warm hosts. The property is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and the tapas bar on the weekends is really fun. I have found it to be a wonderful experience as a solo traveler. Really enjoyed hanging out with other folks at breakfast and the bar at night. They are about to open a restaurant here in several months. Lastly, the location is excellent- close to the beach, Barcelona, Girona, etc. Come and enjoy!
Cons: Nada. Total pleasure staying here!
Pros: Pretty much everything. It was a really peaceful place to stay just a couple of minutes from the centre of the village. The hotel was really tastefully decorated and the rooms were great with very comfortable beds. But especially, the owners were really charming hosts who made us feel welcome.
Cons: Noise from construction works that are doing below
Pros: Beautiful building, inside and out. Very friendly and welcoming owners and delcious breakfast.
Cons: Access to hotel a little difficult but well worth the effort.
Pros: Lovely property in a very quiet residential town with a secluded garden and swimming pool. Fernando & Valeria are superb hosts who keep their hotel and grounds spotless and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are air conditioned, bathrooms are fully equipped with everything you need. Rooftop sun terrace with view of the sea. Breakfast was superb and served on the terrace every morning. Secure car park and easy walk into Cabrils where there are very good restaurants and shops. Garage and supermarket within walking distance and very good bus service to the sea and railway station, which takes you to Barcelona or Girona. Would love to keep this hotel a secret but Fernando & Valeria deserve to get their brilliant hotel praised. Would be an ideal 'Small Leading Hotel" candidate.
Located in the hills in Sant Vicenç de Montalt, this 15th-century country house has great views of the Maresme Coast. It offers an outdoor pool and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. At Can Mora de Dalt there is a sun terrace with fantastic views. There is also a garden with fruit trees. The rooms at the Can Mora de Dalt feature tiled floors and elegant, rustic décor. Each one comes with flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. The beach at Montalt Parc is just 3 km away, and you can drive to the Montnegre i el Corredor Nature Reserve in 10 minutes. Barcelona is 30 minutes’ drive away.
Pros: What a fabulous little hotel! The interior of the room made us feel like it was in an old Italian movie. All clean and neat with very good toiletries (not that it matters a lot, but it feels good when you come across good quality stuff)). Simple but good breakfast and very friendly staff. Awesome views from the hotel over the nearby valleys and the sea! I’d like to come there again!
Pros: The property had so much character, was beautifully furnished and so very comfortable. The location, although remote, had amazing views and oozed peace and tranquillity. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: The remoteness meant that a car was essential to go anywhere. Shops, bars etc were not within walking distance and the hotel 'bar'was only available till 9pm when the reception closed.
Pros: Very good breakfast, good bed.
Cons: Room by far too hot, very small window. An air conditioning was added but too noisy.
Pros: The view is astonish and the building is very well maintain. The decoration is simple and elegant
Cons: The room can be too hot but there is a portable air conditioner
Pros: Great location, beautiful views and a lovely pool area , quiete rustic house
When you stay at Hostal de la Plaça in Cabrils, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Illa Fantasia and Premia de Mar Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is really amazing! Very authentic and just beautiful. Excellent location: actually, everything is Cabrils is at your hand, but it is by the church, and everything around is so picturesque. We had breakfast in the restaurant on the ground floor (the main one), and it was also very good. Besides, there are 2 or 3 private restaurant venues. Our room was just under the roof, but the temperature was very comfortable. Great beds, sweet dreams. =) Every evening we received a bottle of wine as a gift. Excellent staff, especially the beautiful, friendly, and helpful Ingrid at the reception. Made friends with a fellow photographer, a waitress at the restaurant, Mònica Mateu Ruiz. Hola, Monica! ;) So, thanks for everything! We will come back, for sure!
Cons: Actually, maybe, something could be better, but I do not know what exactly. =) We just loved everything.
Pros: The staff is friendly, helpful, and forthcoming. You are wonderfully treated from start to end. The hotel is located in an old, traditional house and offers a wonderful atmosphere. The full story of the family stands on the walls. The restaurant is outstanding! Both the successful Dinner Menu and the à la carte dishes are made from fresh, top quality products cooked with utmost care. Excellent, surprising cellar. Knowledgeable staff. Good breakfast, a tad simple compared to the fantastic dinner. Nice view from the restaurant, from the village down to the sea. Solicitous valet parking.
Cons: The house is old, and this implies some (small) inconvenience. The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side. No lift: you need to climb two or three flights of stairs to reach the rooms. No fancy equipment.
Pros: the food of the restaurant and the kindness of the staff
Cons: the price is not low, but there's a good value for money
Pros: The staff are really carefully and kind, the breakfast is very delicious and the coffee is super. We felt that we were in the hotel rank 4*. The bed was very comfortable. The room is beautiful with vintage styled. We really loved it. You must try it out! :)
Pros: The most amazing meal we've ever had, the staff were so friendly, the terrace had lovely views of the sea, the rooms were spotlessly clean.
Cons: Was further from the beach than we thought but it wasn't a major problem.
Pros: The views
Cons: The church bells from 6am to 12pm every 15 minutes
Pros: A beautiful place and the scenery was amazing.. very cosy
Pros: Restaurant was excellent and breakfast very acceptable. The variety offered, quality and value beyond question. Will be pleased to revisit when in the area.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
Pros: Excellent staff behaviour
Pros: Very pretty location in the village centre and overlooking the valley towards the sea. 4.5 km from railway station to Barcelona.
Cons: Low beams in top floor room. Otherwise the room was attractive.
With a stay at Hotel Masia Can Vive in Cabrera de Mar, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of La Roca Village and Argentona Water Jug Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This amazing property, over 600 years old, was very clean, comfortable and well run by the live in owner. (sorry sir, I never learned your name) He seems to do it all; from cooking breakfast, running reception to tending the bar at night! This old Masia has history, tradition and oozes character. Respectfully but simply decorated to suit it's nature. Even the room key was original. Breakfast was good, the gardens are charming - well kept, peaceful and wonderful to chill in. The staff were great. The chef that cooked for their special tapas evening held in the garden, came and chatted to us, explaining the history and culture of the area, making us feel welcome. There is an amazing restaurant next door but very little else in the immediate area to see or walk around. The local town of Cabrera de mar was also a little disappointing. There are beaches about 10 mins drive away but needed a sat nav to find a route under the coast railway. Barcelona airport is only 40 mins away.
Cons: Having to leave.
Pros: Lovely old building and great views to the coast
Cons: Nothing at all just enough English spoken to understand
Pros: Rooms, location, garden, hot water in Bath, beds were perfect
Cons: Breakfast was weak and other language than Spanish was not an option but the hotel owner was so supportive and helpfully. The pool is out of order unfortunately for this season.
Pros: Beautiful setting on the hill-side of Maresme, only 15mins drive from Barcelona. Imagine and old Catalan country-house from the XIX century and you have it! the hotel has like 6 rooms in total, with ancient furniture in each and in the common areas. You can hear the complete silence overnight and enjoy the views and the fresh air in the morning. Parking is not an issue, there is even some internet in the rooms. If you look for something unique, a little time-travel and trying places off the beaten track, this is a great choice!
Cons: You have to appreciate the place as-is. Don't look for historic authenticity of all the furniture and objects (it's a bit of an eclectic collection) nor the super-comfortable Marriott beds or high speed internet with huge flat screens (pick the W for that). This can be a great romantic or philosophic stay, just take it in!
Pros: All is perfect. The most beautiful place around of Barcelona. So cute staff. All is nice in this place
Cons: The place is a small difficult to arrive by public transport but.. easier with car.
Pros: if you like old houses this is the place for you an excellent small hotel converted from a lovely old Spanish home Each room is individual the house is set in a pleasant garden in the hills above a not particularly interesting area We booked this hotel seven months ago for a local wedding a great place to relax before and afterwards tapas are served in the garden in the evenings or local restaurants are very close if you need a full menu. for us a great break
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. National park trail nearby.
Cons: The breakfast could have more healthy options, more vegetables and dark bread for example.
Pros: The location. The old fashion style. The owner was so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We loved it will use again.
Pros: Location is nice. Pet friendly. Cheap.
Cons: Rooms are small and not well decorated. Mattress and pillow is not comfortable. Stuff doesn't look happy to welcome you.
Located in Mataro, Hotel Atenea Port Barcelona Mataro is on the boardwalk, a 5-minute walk from Port De Mataro and within a 5-minute drive of Mataro Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is nice ,very clean, has a nice pool , staff are friendly and nice and given its next to the port , it’s not as noisy as one might think. Easily accessible from railway station , close to a really nice beach, and restaurants are plenty and tasty nearby, the same goes for the hotel’s own restaurant , we had lunch and dinner there and it was worth it! If we ever return to Mataró for the beach , I would stay in Atenea again
Cons: I am a bit picky when it comes to detail, certain finishing in the rooms leaves to be desired. Breakfast has no surprises, had it 4 times , was always the same.
Pros: The location, the view from the hotel and it was very clean.
Cons: The sauna and spa was not working, need English TV channels and needs to advertise more activities in Mataro & Barcelona.
Pros: Very clean. Air conditioning fantastic hottest time of year!
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities in room need improving.
Pros: Very comfortable rooms and good shower
Cons: We all got eaten alive by mosquitoes at either your pool or more likely the bar area during the afternoon
Pros: Clean Good staff Good location
Cons: The breakfast is 2 star level, no much choices
Pros: Another excellent stay All clean Excellent staff Nice pool.
Cons: Noise of the Boat yard pressure washer cleaning the hulls of the boats adjacent to the pool on a weekday However this is not the hotels fault the hotels location is on the marina so there will be a boat yard.
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent from the view of the harbour ease to get to the station , the beach and the centre of Mataro . Stayed here last year and found everything excellent . Particularly like the fact tea and coffee making facilities are now available . Food in restaurant is very good .
Pros: Everything, especially the view from the balcony accross the marina
Cons: Noise from the boat yard
Pros: Large comfy bed. Friendly cleaner - place very clean. View from balcony.
Cons: People leaving towels on sunloungers then disappearing for hours.
Pros: Nice pool and lounge area
Cons: Done broken tvings in the barhroom
With a stay at New Hotel Colón in Mataro, you'll be near the beach, just a 1-minute walk from Mataro Beach and 10 minutes by foot from Port De Mataro. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Restaurant is great, staff is extremely helpful, good parking facilities, great location
Cons: Uncomfortable bed, no outside area
Pros: This hotel is a quiet gem. It is right near the beach...and despite how close to Barcelona it is, Mataró beach is clean and uncrowded. Such a relief after Barcelona. The place is clean, the staff are lovely and went out of their way to be helpful ALL the time. The mattress was amazing- just a pity the double bed was two beds together. I like to spread eagle (hahha) but you have to choose a side!
Cons: Coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice but such a tiny thing that it's nothing compared to how close to the beach and the town it is. I have already rebooked I liked it so much.
Pros: The hotel is not far from the beach and trainstation.
Cons: Aircondition in the room smelled of dirty feet. It took two days and a new receptionist before we were offered a new room, where the aircondition was cleaned. The waterfront on the beach was very dirty (In the water we saw a dead rat, tampons, plastic and so on, so we didnt really want to swim) The water gets quickly deep and is not very children friendly.
Pros: Location, food
Cons: The fan in bathroom didn’t work
Pros: Quite possibly the comfiest bed I have ever slept in and I’m not even exaggerating. The wifi was also super fast, the air-con was excellent and the room came with a mini-fridge.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the greatest and there was a lack of tea or coffee facilities in the room but they are very minor blips to an otherwise wonderful stay.
Pros: Great location, clean rooms with great daily cleaning, staff was friendly
Pros: we came really early to leave our bags, because the check-in is at 14:00. The first guy was really nice. but then when we came back from the beach at 15:10 there was another person, a girl, and she was not nice at all. she was racist, she took our NIE (which is an official document from the Spanish Gov. for foreigners) anyways, she started looking at the card from all sides, and making sure that it's not fake..UMMM EXCUSE ME? that is not your job. If the goverment officials are accepting them as an official ID, then who are you to do this? and she was actually making faces like she didn't really like it or wasn't convinced. Then she asked me when did I make the reservation? what kind of question is that? she already had the document prepared with my room number and my info. she was really rude. we took the key went to the room (406). it came to our surprise that the room was dirty, wasn't made yet and the bathroom was dirty, no one came to clean the room before the check-in, and it didn't make sense to us because we checked in one hour after the check-in time. We went back down, we told her that the room wasn't made.
Cons: and her answer without even apologizing: it's because we have a lot of rooms. and I told her that is not an excuse, we paid to come and find our room ready, not for a dirty room. and it wasn't cheap for a 3 stars hotel, almost 95 euros with tourist tax for one day for 2 people. her reaction was really rude she just shook her shoulders, and said that it's her first day. Okay I do understand it's her first day, but it's not an excuse for a dirty room and not an excuse for bad actitude. she didn't apologize not even once. and then it came to our surprise that it was not only us, a family of french people who just checked in said that their room wasn't made and it was dirty, and she just told them to wait. and then she told me that the room will be ready in 20 mins. I told her I can't wait that long, I would prefer to take a shower because I just came from the beach and a one hour trip. We went upstairs to take a shower, then the cleaning personnal came, and they were really nice and apologetic about what happened, we told them to come back in 30 mins when we are done from the shower. They came back later, and they cleaned the room and it was okay. I have been to 100s of hotels, B&B and hostels and I have never checked in into a dirty room that hasn't been cleaned after the last people who stayed. I advise you to stay away from the hotel.
Pros: This is a very nice little hotel, well apportioned. Ideally positioned between old town and beach. stayed there many times.
Cons: Never sure about the parking situation at this hotel
Pros: Central location. Close to restaurants and beach.
Cons: All good thanks.
Pros: Interior decor (not the rooms)
Cons: Rooms were not as depicted, hair dryer was faulty and receptionist tried to show us how it is used, where as in 10secs, hair dryer dies. She tried to charge us more for parking. Annoying staff. Nothing in this hotel is as advertised.
Located in Vilassar de Dalt, Sorli Emocions is by the sea, within a 5-minute drive of Illa Fantasia and Premia de Mar Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very nice, modern Hotel. Clean rooms, good shower, good bed, everything Top! Very quiet hotel, good to find rest after day of work!
Cons: Not really much around the hotel, one place you can go for dinner, which has good food however!
Pros: Staff were super friendly and very helpful
Cons: We like to eat early and it was not possible to have a proper meal before 8pm however you could have snacks or tapas they were served all day
Pros: The hotel and staff were really lovely.
Cons: There is no restaurant! Breakfast was cold ham/cheese plates and fruit served in the bar. Not bad, but not €15 euros either. There isn’t a restaurant in the hotel, but there is one on the other side of the shopping centre under the hotel. Tapas were excellent, but we went out of season and the choice was very limited. Breakfast was better in the shop..
Pros: The staff were very polite and the hotel facilities were very clean except the outdoor pool it could of been cleaner!
Cons: The food options could be better, hot options for breakfast would of been great. They should also include the price of the spa in overall booking price and shouldn't force you to buy a swimming cap. More drinks and food options in general for the hotel menu would be great
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice room with good facilities. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast, but cold whit fresh orange juice and lots of bread and ham :)
Cons: Didn’t like the bathroom concept at all: even though the toilet is separate (without basin to wash hands!), the ‘bathroom’ is open plan with no privacy possible!
Pros: Great stay before heading to the airport the next morning. Lovely terrace and pool. Impressive restaurant and specialty food and goods shop right underneath the hotel. Great breakfast and friendly staff. The room itself was big, very comfortable and clean and excellent shower - I loved the bed!
Pros: Hi-tec facilities. Modern. Close to station
Cons: Very basic amenities for breakfast and evening meal. Expensive.
Pros: Very friendly, young staff. Good sized room, excellent bed. Very good bar/restaurant, adjacent to ‘designer supermarket/foodie paradise’. Lovely food, lively place. Good breakfast. We liked the atmosphere of the place!
Cons: Didn’t like the bathroom concept at all: even though the toilet is separate (without basin to wash hands!), the ‘bathroom’ is open plan with no privacy possible! Also very small. Good shower, though. I wouldn’t want to stay longer than a day or two.
Pros: The beds are amazing and the room was a very good standard. The pool area is also very nice The location to the track for the Motogp was fantastic.
Cons: The staff attitude towards a Vegetarian was very poor. No real meal offerings are available. Our table had 4 people of which 3 are meat eaters but we could not eat at the restaurant t due to no vegetables offerings. The staff could have made a plan and arranged for something to be made separate. I found the breakfast ok. I was very disappointed with the level of food due to the incredible shop below the hotel. The WiFi is also poor.
Cons: It was too hot to sleep ans mostly essential smell. It was too strong and I didnt like it all. It made me headache. Please keep rooms smell free.
With a stay at Dynamic Hotels Caldetes Barcelona in Caldes d'Estrac, you'll be by the sea, within a 15-minute drive of Calella Beach and Palau Foundation. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Nice location and views, very kind attention, minimalistic decoration
Cons: Noisy. The doors and walls do not damp well the noises from the outside and corridor
Pros: the staff were friendly especially the young man with the glasses helped us very well and very friendly we were unfortunately forgotten to ask his name!!
Cons: the bathroom was unfortunately not nicely finished
Pros: I loved how at home I was made to feel, as I was travelling alone. I felt very comfortable and the staff were very helpful in making suggestions for me in the area! It was a fantastic stay and I would recommend to anyone visiting the area!
Pros: The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was light and airy. Exceptionally tasty foods at the restaurant - do not miss out! Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a bliss to start the day, beaches close and sporting facilities plentiful. A very pleasant stay!
Cons: Parking in that area was complicated, to say the least - was necessary to purchase tickets (with max 2h payable at once) several times a day (if following the rules).
Pros: Service, location and the wonderful rooftop.
Pros: The Hotel stands on a slight hill just 5 min walk from a beautiful beach (very cute scenic walk) so it has beautiful views, rooms are nice modern & clean. They had a DJ & Vermouth party on Sunday day on the rooftop which was a pleasant surprise. Everyone is just chill there. Chill atmosphere, nice people. Don't need to go by car, just take train to the town (stop a Caldetes which is 40 mins from Barcelona) and walk up to the hotel. They also have a great gym overlooking the beautiful view. 2nd time there and will be back whenever I can get away:)
Pros: The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very nice. there is no real reception or bar area. It is trying to be a bit quirky but ends up being not that comfortable. For the money it does not compare with other proper Spanish hotel of a similar price
Cons: no reception. no bar. wood box for bedroom side table. Bedroom down an exterior balcony
Pros: Every staff member went above and beyond to help.
Pros: Great roof top restaurant and bar. Friendly staff and clean and spacious room. With balcony. 4th and 5th floors have the best views.

Pros: Everything! Staff VERY friendly (girl in reception) clean and great breakfast Should be a three star
Cons: Not applicable
Pros: The most beautiful breakfest corner from the hotels I have seen so far...the food was very delicious, the staff very polite, rooms clean...I give number 5 to this one!
Pros: The professionality and courtesy of the staff
Cons: The central air conditioning was way too exaggerated!
Cons: Quick and soft stau
Pros: Location and staff's
Cons: Free tee and candy for children.
Pros: Bed was extra comfortable! Pillows were soft like butter!
Pros: Basic breakfast. Really simple. Location is good enough to travel to Barcelona by car, but not so good if you want to chill on the sea. Good parking, cheap enough. A lot of free parking slots available around. Supermarket just a next door. Super nice cleaning ladies
Cons: Breakfast can be a bit better. No so easy system with garage entrance, quite often you need to wait. Especially, if you come early morning.
Pros: breakfast was very good, not overwhelming like other places...just what you would want for breakfast...excellent!
Cons: we could use a couple of hand towels in the bathroom along with the shower towels...
Pros: Very good state of cleanliness
Cons: Breakfast was very poor taking into account the money we paid for it. Small bathroom and uncomfortable door to access.
Pros: The staff are really nice and helpful. It is 10 minutes away from the town. Very nice restaurants and good value.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit too limited in selection.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
Pros: Breakfast was good, accommodations were good, location to beach, train and restaurants were good and the owners couldn't have been nicer,
Pros: Luis and Luisa were loving and hospitable hosts. They served us orange juice on the patio when we arrived exhausted. They were like our Catalan grandparents for 24 hours! So kind! The room was clean and cute. One block from the beach! 5 min walk to the train station that can take you to and from the airport. Breakfast was lovely with tea coffee toasts and cereal. Luisa let us leave our luggage there after checking out so we could explore the area.
Pros: Very Friendly family received me at 11pm
Cons: Far away from downtown Barcelona and exhibition center
Pros: Clean place
Cons: Caution! This is not a hotel! It is a private house with living owners age of 70+ yo and for the price of a good 3-star hotel you will be accommodated in 10m2 room with a window and a bed, period. No a/c, no central ventilation, shared bathroom (with push button..), loudly locking doors, poor breakfast (couple of buns and toasts with drinks), terrible WiFi connection. Also when checking in you will get a list of rules which should be observed when staying like: no bathing after 10pm, no eating in the room, no pool after 11pm, etc) Rooms were not cleaned every day...
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast provided was lovely. So close to a beautiful and quiet beach.
Cons: It was the perfect hotel for our stay, we couldn't find any fault with it.

This hotel has 1292 square feet (120 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Faulty blind in our room and as a result, it was difficult to access the Courtyard and frustrating because it is a very simple job fix the problem and realign the chain to open the blind. In room tea and coffee making facilities would be a welcome addition
Cons: Arrived there, no parking available, the receptionist said just park on the main road. Booked a double got two singles close to each other. I think they are still in dial-up because the internet was very bad. Breakfast was 10 euro/day. Room service was bad. Replenished the bathroom supplies once in 6 days (the towels every day). Maybe I'm a bit picky but there was no remote for the AC and I think the thermostat was broken because it wouldn't stop blowing cold air so you had to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it off. The swimming pool was in a different building 5 minutes from the hotel. Had to pay extra for the SPA. The SPA it self was a joke. Not really a 4-star hotel, not for my standards anyway. Stayed 6 out of 7 days (couldn't stay the last day because of the above reasons)
Cons: The manager of the hotel was rude when we asked to extend. We had to pay double the price and has to move rooms. In the end we found a much better hotel. Vilassar hôtel is not a four star.
Pros: The big bed, clean room and the very friendly staff
Pros: The cleanliness was excellent.
Cons: The WiFi reception was poor to the point of being unusable in our room number 207.
Pros: modern design, friendly staff, cleanliness
Cons: window in the room is too small, you have to stay with electric lights on all the time. Breakfast made of good quality products but the choice is poor, no vegetables at all and not much fruit. Swimming pool is located 2 blocks from the hotel and works till 21. It was easier to get to the beach in this case and pool option was useless.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and more than expected. Staff so helpful and the room was kept spotless. We were also able to use the swimming pool at the sister property. What a gem of a hotel
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about this hotel
With a stay at URH Ciutat de Mataró in Mataro, you'll be in a shopping district, within a 15-minute drive of La Roca Village and Mataro Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Nice enough and clean. Car park is a bit of a rip off though.
Pros: Staff are nice and helpful... More negatives though. Not for foreigners
Cons: No english menu. Far from train station. Mataro is a dead town. Not a tourist destination or holiday resort. Breakfast is buffet but not dinner. Air-conditioned is an old type... room is warm and not cold enough. I recommend not to book this place if your plan is going for relaxation and holiday feel.
Pros: The cleaners were more helpful than the reception staff.
Cons: The staff were not very helpful. At check in our room was not ready. We had to wait. No kettle. No washing machine. There is no swimming pool. There is a jacuzzi which you need to pay 10€ per person to use it. The gym is very small.
Pros: The room was good, clean and comfortable. The location is good for a short stay, we lived there for 3 days and it was cool, 10 minutes by foot to the beach, 10 minutes to the city centre.
Cons: There could be more plates and forks at the kitchen, but it doesn't matter.
Cons: Paying extra for spa,
Pros: Couldn't comment on the food as never ate at the hotel. Location was good, shops and restaurants within 5/10 mins walking distance. To get to the harbour/port about a 20/25 min walk. The staff were always smiling and very helpful. Hotel and room was very clean.
Cons: Found the bed a little hard for us and the furniture could do with being updated.
Pros: We liked nothing at all about the hotel - very dated in desperate need of refurbishment. The water from the hot tap ran brown, we were trapped in the hotel car park twice because the lift was stuck, one imparticular female staff member was very rude and unhelpful. We were told the water problem was due to maintenance but looking at previous reviews the problem exists for at least a year
Cons: Everything. The furniture in the room was all scuffed and stained, the bedside cabinet drawer did not close because it was broken. The floor was stained and scuffed, definitely not a 4 star hotel, 2 star maybe at a push?
Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful. They gave us all the needed information and advice on our trip. The room was spacy, but a little dark. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom had a great hair dryer, toothbrush and all the amenities you may need. The hotel is located close to the shops, bars and the bus station to Barcelona. Barcelona is 30 minutes away by bus. There's a free parking close to the hotel too Everything what you can expect from 4* hotel in the district of Barcelona.
Pros: A woman in reception
Cons: Ask money for pool
Pros: Clean and well presented hotel, friendly and professional reception staff. Was local to company we were visiting (who suggested this hotel) henced we stayed here rather than Barcelona.
Pros: Generally was ok
Cons: The lack of balconies .The breakfast was ok, but without any vegetables.
Pros: The room was cleane and nice, hotel is well located - nearby the train station and the beach.
Cons: The breakfast price seemed to us to high.
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The location was not nice. We felt unsecured.
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet, nice refurbishment after 20 years
Pros: Parking is convinient. Breakfast is delicious. Everything was just fine.
Cons: Overpriced hotel, too far from the sea to call it recreational. Just for the buisness trips.
Pros: We stayed there to visit Manu Chao concert nearby. The hotel is good, I am travelling a lot on business so I would say standard business hotel. The beach is reachable by foot, like 15 min walk.
Cons: It could be good if bar is open more time (we wanted to drink coffe at 10 pm and we could not since everything was closed)
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was good and clean and good breakfast. We have our nine month old with us and the staff were great with him and very helpful with boiling water and cleaning bottles etc.
Cons: Location - if it was about 4 blocks closer to the old town it would have been perfect
Pros: good size room
Cons: restaurant and bar closed in the hotel
