Super Hotel Matsumoto Ekimae

Good location, service and delicious breakfast. Fast and easy check in. Great value for money. Good and filling breakfast, friendly staff, near station and walkable distance to sights. Well located in the city centre of Matsumoto, walking distance from all key attractions. Very good location, room that has everything needed and fine breakfast. The location is excellent 2 minutes walk from the Central Station. They have a free Alcoholic bar from 3pm-8pm and drinking machine which you can use almost all day long. A lot of tasty options In breakfast even for vegetarians. The hotel offers different types of pillows which you can take from the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, every day again. The option to choose from multiple cushions is great, rooms and common facilities are impeccably clean, and the breakfast is absolutely outstanding giving that it is free of charge. Great staff who are very accommodating, with a good location 5-10 min walk from the station. The staff was also quick to respond to emails and promptly helped by finding something we left at the hotel and mailing it to our next hotel for us. While the location and cleanliness was great, the staff make an effort to go above and beyond, which is what made this stay so great for us. When we are about to go outside for our dinner it was raining and we ask the staff if we can borrow umbrella,they were so kind to offer us 2 big umbrellas. .friendly staff and the breakfast buffet is good. Staff was awesome! Front desk lady was so nice to me!!!! Also, had the best breakfast set up Ive had here in Japan!!!! They had a variety of types of pillows that you could choose from for your own comfort. Staff and facilities were great. As an added bonus, they had a "welcome bar" which we enjoyed. The buffet breakfast was also wonderful. The staff was incredibly nice! He assisted us with so much warmth and joy. Incredibly small room but not unexpected. pillow could be better. The breakfasts were the worst we experienced in Japan. Room is small, felt hard to open luggage, and the toilet also so small. Bed was a little too soft. We asked for a non-smoking room and got a room that was very smelly from cigarettes. When we complained about it, the stuff said it is normal and gave us an air conditioner spray. The room was dense. Hotelroom is rather small when you are from Europe. The room was non smoking but somehow it smelled smoky. not sure if it’s the previous user or came from the air-con. A terrible experience!! When we came back in the afternoon, we found out that there was a leakage in the toilet and urine was on the floor!! Extremely disgusting!! The hotel changed the room with no further compensation. Our schedule was delayed for half an hour because we have to move everything to the new room. The shop had already been closed after we settled down. The bed bunk was easy to hit with you head. In some places it has a rubber cover, but on others it didn't. No public ofuro :( But bath salts are given at the reception :) we were first given a smokers room that smelled really bad. however, after request for a change the staff was nice and quick to provide us non-smoking room. didn’t know have to reserve parking in advance. luckily there is parking lot available. The room is too small. Bathroom is very small but was ok for 1-2 nights. Every day they had cleaning from 10am till 3pm which meant you can not stay in the hotel. Perhaps they would leave us there but I did not like this condition. Hotelroom is rather small when you are from Europe. The room is too small, no place for suitcase. The shower curtain smells and there is no trash bin in the bathroom. rooms on the slightly smaller size but comfortable. The space in the rooms was a little tight, may be a bit difficult with multiple people staying in the same room with multiple suitcases. Better than catching the virus I suppose. layout of bathroom was a little hard. I know I paid for the smaller room but other bathrooms were a little easier to maneuver in.
