Pros: Staff were polite, very helpful and attentive. Leisure facilities were used and enjoyed. Asked for a room with a view and got a super view of the River.
Pros: The duty manager, or assistant manager Sabrina Zhou! She took it upon herself to offer another room when I was next to a noisy family. On top of that, a fruit plate was awaiting me upon moving into my second room. By the way, it was an upgrade to a deluxe room. That was so thoughtful of her! I told her I will come back. Never anywhere in the world have I received such service at a very reasonable 80 usd a night for 5 nights of quality. The rooms had all the whistles and bells. On top of that a river view of the light show each night! Wow! Thank you Sabrina! John
Cons: Just the noise from one family.

Pros: Great location, really easy to find and to walk around nearby areas is easy too.
Cons: Staff gave no assistance to find taxi when leaving. A bit unhelpful actually. The room was really quite hot and managed to open window with difficulty, looks like they are not meant to be opened.
Pros: Great location!
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Rooms are standard and compacted Swiss style, bathroom is clean and well designed, elegant fragrance toiletries
Cons: The room has a faint cigarette smell, but it is very common is hotels in China anyways
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Room big and clean. Environment quiet and no unnecessary disturbance. overall we were happy with the stay.
Cons: The pillow provided was not comfortable - flatten easily and it became too low, if use 2 pillows will be too high and slide down to an uncomfortable position.
Pros: Excellent location. A good range of food at breakfast.
Cons: The service isn’t always very attentive e.g. coffee/tea was only once brought to the table. No English breakfast tea in room. This was supplied for one day when requested but not for second day.
Pros: Nice room with great river view, and good central location. Was allowed to check out a couple of hours later at no extra charge. Special mention to the concierge staff who were very friendly and solved a problem for me, I needed to pack up a bicycle to transport on the plane, and they contacted a bike shop that would pack the bike, and arranged a taxi to the shop.
Pros: Beautiful room, helpful staff!, decently priced room service
Cons: Everything was fine.
Pros: Clean room with friendly staff. Few hundred meters to Tengwang Pavilion
Pros: The view is amazing. Hotel room is large and comfortable.

Pros: Great staff and hotel.
Pros: The bedroom was great, clean and with great view. The view was amazing especially after 7:30pm
Cons: TV has very limited English channels
Cons: Unable to connect WiFi automatically. Staff not friendly. Never offer assistance when saw us carrying luggages and other staff. No bell boy service at all.
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: Hotel is great for the value they offer. Some of the receptionists speak English which is rare in China so I was nicely surprised to-be able to sort the accommodation issue in a smooth way. Food was great in the restaurant upstairs. All you can eat buffet with bottle of wine included in a price. Great value. Room was clean, very comfy big bed, great shower. Overall great experience.
Cons: Booking messed up my reservation. I have received the confirmation via email but once I arrived there, the hotel didn't have my reservation. Seems like Booking does not care about customers in China. It was cold, I was tired after 6 hours of journey all I wanted was to warm up in a cosy bed in a nice room. Disappointed with service of Booking but not the hotel. The receptionist sorted it out for us and also offered complimentary drinks while we waited. Within 15 minutes we were accommodated. I will never use Booking services in China again. Or maybe never. There are many other options out there
Pros: Everything. It was my second time here.
Cons: Couldn't be better
Pros: The housekeeping service was excellent. My room was prepared early every morning. When I returned at noon everything was refreshed for the day.
Cons: The best internet connection seemed to be unstable very often. The hotel should consider an airport shuttle service.
Pros: Room was clean, friendly personnel, breakfast and dinner buffet were good and had a wide variety of food
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: The lake view from special room is really nice and localization is good
Pros: Breakfast was ok. Nothing else good to say about the hotel. It was a waste of time, money and nerves. And a ruined BD surprise.
Cons: Worst hotel experience ever. I've been to many countries and many hotels but I've was never this disappointed. No welcoming faces, no smile, people are really cold. Apparently guest are a bother The hotel is quite different than showed online. No instructions on how to use breakfast cards. The room was different from what we booked, no bath. No instructions on how to use IHG card with rewards. When calling the reception desk, we didn't get any answers, they kept saying they are busy and we can talk later. After insisting on talking to the manager immediately he called but didn't agree that the room was different. When we pointed out the differences they said that the rooms on booking.com are different from what they have. Which means they deceive everyone with online bookings. After some arguing they changed the rooms. But were really impolite about it. After two hours of bad mood our weekend away was pretty much ruined. The new room was like the old one dated, scratched furniture, cracked bath, bugs inside the room. The swimming pool is pretty small and shallow, only 3 chairs, so u can't put your towel anywhere if there's more than 4 people in the pool. The windows around the pool are so dirty, they are becoming green. The pool floor is loosing tiles, and the small tiles are so sharp it's easy to cut your feet. My BF was bringing out tiles all the time and giving them to the stuff. Gym was so heavily perfumed we both got dizzy after a few minutes. When I made the reservation I told them it's a BD gift for my BF and they said we'll give you a cake because you're IHG member. When we got to the hotel they changed their minds. Seriously don't promise things u can't deliver. We also got a card from the hotel that said we get a food voucher and 10% off dining because we are IHG members but when we tried to use this we couldn't use it and nobody could give the explanation why?

Cons: Still have room to improve regarding to staff's service quality
Pros: The location of this hotel is quite well, and river view is excellent
Cons: Each room has just one box of tissue only available for bathroom it is not convenient for night use. What a terrible noise made by buskers after midnight, they sang and continued make loud music even in 1am. The staff can do nothing about this situation, even chaged the room noise still hearable
Pros: Pool is gorgeous with nice city view. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Buffet was okay, but nothing special. Kids playroom was extensive and fun.
Cons: Massage experience left something to be desired.
Mercure Nanchang Sunac is a 504 room international hotel located in the Sunac Cultural and Tourism City. Facilities include Terrace Cafe, Lobby Lounge, Meeting Rooms and Gymnasium. 10 min drive to the high speed Nanchang West station, 50 min to Changbei International Airport
Pros: great breakfast and great location
Cons: i loved all
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean bathroom facilities, basic gym.
Cons: Upon arrival, the staff in the lobby refused our major credit cards as payment stating that the machine wasn't working or accepting our cards, and they preferred cash. However, with a little more persistence on our part, the manager came out and suddenly the credit card machine was "fixed". The location of the hotel is near a train station, but very far away from downtown Nanchang. We know that going into it, but that's something to keep in mind if you're looking to spend a lot of time downtown.
Pros: free shuttle from the hotel to the metro station.
Cons: The breakfast is for us as Germans not very good: there were neither marmalade nor good bread nor honey! The entry is not easy to find
Ideally located in a new district inside the Sunac Cultural & Tourism City, 5 minutes' walk to the Sunac Theme Park, Aquarium and Sunac Mall. Cons: This is a joke, I have check my email said that my room fees include free breakfast. But when i check in and they said my package not include breakfast. Then I have to pay extra money for the breakfast.
Pros: Almost every things
Cons: It is a little far resort from the down town
Pros: tranquail close to Wanda Mall; lake; swimming pool with good water; reasonably priced Chinese restaurant
Cons: bikes should be free; smokers should not be allowed to smoke anywhere within the hotel (a hard one in China !)
Pros: Great value, good and motivated service staff. Comfortable and spotless rooms
Cons: The breakfast was fine, but to crowded with and the service could not keep up
Pros: I liked the mooncakes for mid autumn festival, that was a nice touch. Staff very friendly and proactive.
Cons: The hotel is quite far away from the city
Pros: Buffet Breakfast has wide selection and good
Cons: A unforeseen incident with one of the Front Executive, whereby he called me while in the room about the check out date, which I told him was 26/08.Even after been told, he still sent up the room staff to check on my luggage as he claimed that if my understanding is right that 'too few bags'. It is odd that this incident happened, which was in the end said as checking and going in to the wrong room nr to check.Should be 1008 not 1108.The whole handing of the situation was not right. It is a mistake, but they are not professional and show sincereity of the error made, when I am a Accord member.
Pros: - great sport facilities: very clean and new pool, big gym - very friendly price for a five stars - location just in front of the metro station and 15 minutes subway from Nanchang West railway station - friendly, English speaking staff - good breakfast and buffet dinner with international and Chinese options (including reasonably good French wine) - the view from the room
Cons: - the rude behavior of many guests, who smoked everywhere (toilets, changing room at the pool, non-smoking rooms). This is not the fault of the staff, and unfortunately a frequent problem in China, but I felt it was particularly annoying in this hotel. It looks like they don't really apply the fines mentioned everywhere below the non-smoking signs - the deposit nearly as expansive as the room price: a common practice in China, but what I didn't like is that this was mentioned nowhere in the booking process (usually it is). Also, I left the hotel 4 days ago and it has not been refunded yet
Pros: Perfect place and very good location, food was awesome and yummy, I would stay there again if I have chance to visit again in Nanchang.
Cons: More English channels in TV.
Pros: Good international hotel in not so sophisticated Chinese city. No random bits of meat in every breakfast dish, unlike in most Chinese hotels.
Pros: Hotel has a very convinient access from metro. The building is well designed and superbly maintained and clean. Staff are excellent, they do their best to assist and thefew who did not soeak English well were polite and quick to seek assisstance from peers who spoke the language. The breakfast restaurant is very pleasant, with comfortable to es of colors and great green views out.
Cons: If I would improve anything it would be the coffee machine in the restaurant. Although it is way above the average you encounter in China, it still nit up to standards in terms of soeed/capacity/quality. There was only one machine operating on my second day of stay and it was the start of the weekend so.. there was a lune up for coffe, which I would not expect in such a facility. Second would be to increase the amount of staff in the restaurant; waiters and waitresses, as well as supervisors, and cleaners. Again, every one was very pleasnt and polite and helpful to deal with but there is a big room to improve on all levels. Buffet variety was good- yet cheese were very limited in variety and mostly over aged, and cold cuts was also in very limited choices. Thirdly is the open hours of swimming pool/fitness- I attempted to get in around 6 am but it was closed, I have stayed in many similar hotels in China that would simply allow a key card access to the fitness facility around the hour and pool opening with supervision as early as 6am. Lastly is the reception seating area, while everything was very comfotmrtable, I think the chairs and sofa at the central reception/cafe-bar was surprisingly hard/stiff to sit on. Other than these minir issues to improve the hotel was great to stay in!
