Pros: Close to Yarmouth if the ferry ever starts running.
Cons: Lots of construction. Old, not very clean rooms with terrible pillows.
Pros: The owners were very friendly, breakfast was ample, coffee hot
Pros: Very friendly owners great Chinese food next door the beach a few steps away 5*all the way
Cons: Very clean great coffee in the morning
Pros: Gorgeous, quiet, clean accommodations. Pleasant, helpful staff. Near the nicest, expansive sandy beach! Can’t wait to go back!
Pros: The breakfast was great. Great selection. Great muffins and biscuits
Cons: there was nothing I we didn't like.
Pros: We loved the gorgeous view, the nice comfy room and the very kind service.
Pros: Frinedliness of owner, they were easy to accomodate changes, home baking for breakfast
Cons: Older rooms
Pros: Fantastic view, well equipped, eco friendly, lovely owners, yummy self-baked scones & muffins for breakfast - we really enjoyed our stay
Pros: The location was excellent! View is terrific, hosts are friendly, facility is in good repair, good amenities, great value. Facilities are a little dated, but beds are comfortable and everything is clean.
When you stay at Brier Island Lodge in Westport, you'll be near the beach and within a 5-minute drive of Peter Island Lighthouse. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location, amazing views, comfy bed, plenty of space
Pros: The lodge fits in its rural surrounding.....specifically the warmth & friendliness of staff, the food, the service in the restaurant. The 20% discount on whale watching when booking with the lodge was a good incentive to stay there.
Cons: The facilities in the guest rooms are dated and tired and need upgrading, including sound proofing. The walls are thin in the main lodge. Conversations and other activities can be clearly heard from the adjoining rooms and hallway, which was disturbing when guests were leaving early or going back to their rooms later at night. Would have like a China mug for use with coffee maker in room, in addition to paper cups with lids.
Cons: Best place to stay for whale watching
Pros: Good breakfast and very scenic. Close to everything just .
Cons: Meal prices are crazy expensive.
Pros: Location ,views,stagg
Cons: No TV in rooms that we stayed. Plus the receptionist was as useful as a wet paper bag. There was no air con. The decor in the room was so out-dated it took me back to last century. Plus are porch light did not work.
Pros: I enjoy going to Brier Island. It’s beautiful and relaxing.
Cons: I am not a fan if the restaurant at the lodge. I am not a seafood eater and there is nothing on the menu for me. :(
Pros: Very nice island, despite the fog that is extremely persistent. The food provided at the restaurant is very good, breakfast too.
Cons: We booked a room for four, had to stay in one for three for two nights, could then switch to a bigger room. The boss commented that she thought we Europeans liked it crammed. We didn't feel welcome at all. The price for breakfast on booking.com is ridiculous, should be corrected.
Pros: The location was perfect for our whale watching adventure!
Pros: The room (2 queen beds) is very large, airy and the view is great. Beds are super comfortable and clean. It is also nice to have a fridge and place for luggage. The adjacent reception room and restaurant are neat spaces to relax and enjoy the breathtaking view.
Cons: There is no soundproofing what-so-ever! We were on the ground floor and it seemed the floors of the second level were built like sound boxes. We heard people running, jumping on beds, even speaking. It was like in a bad TV series...! Staff was very helpful when we complained, they even changed rooms for the family of 4 above us - just to have the same problems the next day with the next clients. So if you stay there - ask for a second floor room! (And tell everyone to tread lightly and to be quiet :)
