Towards the end of the board walk Close to several eating places Outside music / bar on property 2 free hrs. bicycle rental Staff very nice and helpful Free WiFi You can only check in until 9 and then office closes Was not given Wi-Fi password and it wasn't in the room so I couldn't work my first night (apology given, and accepted)
on the beach bar scene
Quaint, friendly staff. We chose the Rip Tide because we wanted the charm of the classic motel/hotels of years ago & it fit our wants/needs Definitely not their fault, but Mother Nature put a "damper" on our stay!! We made the best of it but could only imagine that nicer weather would've only made the charm & experience that much better!
Great location & solid WiFi! (Hotel Employee) & staff were very nice & attentive. Even threw party for guests during local parade. Hotel 1 block from beach & boardwalk with restaurants & bars in short walking distance. Washer & Everything was at the very least acceptable.
Location and cleanliness and the fact that I could cook and not have to go out and eat. The price.
Location and room They were not there to check us in- we had to wait an hour in the heat outside. The suite had window unit that was off, therefore the suite was extremely hot. It did not cool down. Florida was in the 90s. We slept hot. Expensive to receive this service.
The staff is very friendly and gracious and willing to do whatever they can in order to fulfill your requests, when they are there. Keep in mind however that this IS an economy facility, so don't expect the world (for instance, there's no towel rack). The neighborhood doesn't look "nice," but don't be intimidated; it isn't dangerous, it's just tired. The restaurant next door serves dinner until 10 pm. It's convenient if you want to be centrally located to Broward and Dade counties, or to the Hard Rock casino. There is no 24-hour staff - The Belevedere is a small Inn, not a hotel. Once everyone is checked in and their immediate needs are seen to, you're pretty much on your own. Make sure you're not expecting any more than that. You may be able to reach them for emergencies, but it may be difficult. The number posted on the door may not be answered.
The staff are very courteous, and the rooms were quite clean. The rooms are small, but as prior reviewers have said, it's a budget inn. It's not 24 hours, so if you are going to be late, do call them to let them know you'll be arriving late. Upon check-in, we were given a remote with access to Netflix. I did not take any photos of the room, but the room had a full-size bed and tv on the wall. There is a small rack on the left for hanging clothes. The bathroom was tiny; I wouldn't expect someone significantly overweight to be able to use the facilities with any ease. Countertops are granite. There is a small in-room refrigerator and microwave with ample space to place your food/beverage/extra bags. It wasn't terribly noisy. We heard some news from people outside, who quieted down after a few minutes, and you can hear a lot of the traffic from the street. There were only two electrical outlets that I noticed, so if you need more, I'd suggest bringing along a power strip. There are no in-room hair dryers. We were given exactly two washcloths and two towels, so if you need more, you might request them upon check-in. Bring your own conditioner if you need it, as well as a shower cap. We were asked if we wanted more pillows, which I thought was very considerate of them. The area isn't the best in town, but I didn't feel unsafe either. It's only 5 miles from the casino and if you're looking to save a little money while visiting the casino, you can't go wrong with the Belvedere. There's even continental breakfast in the morning, which I wasn't expecting. Coffee, donuts, bagels, orange juice, and cereal were provided. We stayed for two days, and would certainly come back. Room size/bed size; It's a little cramped but given our short stay, it wasn't really an issue.
I wasn't murdered during the hour I spent in the parking lot, waiting for someone to show up to check me in. There was no one in the "24 hour office" to check me in. I spoke with an employee earlier in the day to let her know I'd be a late arrival, and she said she'd be there. She wasn't. I couldn't check in. still haven't been refunded. Also, the location is downright scary! Stay away.
Good price for clean, quiet, modern single King room. Shuttle to airport was a nice convenience. The staff were friendly. Decent place to stay if you just need a room overnight in close proximity to FLL. Only a very slight annoyance: a rail line runs just a block or so west of the hotel, so the occasional train horn in the middle of the night might keep light sleepers from getting a full night rest.
great location to the airport and nice clean facilities. Rooms were a bit noisy, and I felt the staff could've been a bit more accommodating and friendly.
Convenient to the airport, booked at the last minute during an unexpected layover in FLL. Clean, feels very new. A bit sterile; other than the airport, not too much going on
Staff is top notch. Free shuttle to the airport. Nothing negative
Clean rooms, easy to get to/from airport, parking available. Clean, but in a crappy part of town. The room looked like it has not been updated since the 50s. No restaurants nearby other than some really shady dives.
The distance frok the airport Very cheap room tiny bathroom very low quality for the $111 A night
The place is not worth the price. The room I stayed in was more than simple, it seemed dirty, although the room was clean. There is a very noisy bar across the street that was still noisy when I left for the airport at 4:30am. All night there where people walking through the courtyard that seemed to be drunk. The office staff was friendly and helpful but I honestly did not feel safe.
Staff was nice Too many spiders. Not worthy.
Felt unsafe, run down
Location proximity to beach Nice patio area with grill but you couldn't have guest . Stayed at ocean drive ville for previous 5 night and were alowed guest and parking was included in room price which was equavalant in cost
This place is a hidden little gem among larger hotels. .its only one block from the beach and small places to eat...has the 50s nostalgia feel to it..stayed here overnight before a cruise and will definitely stay here again....place is spotless. ..doesnt have all the bells and whistles of larger hotels but who cares.....
It is in a decent location. Not far from the beach. 2 grocery stores nearby and a few decent restaurants. Not too far from Ft. Lauderdale. Small rooms, bathroom was dimly lit. Had a blanket with cigarette burn hole in it. TV was busted. They moved me to a different room and I had a better experience. I would go back if I had to. Not a terrible experience, but not one to jump for joy about.
Has a pool n onsite laundry Weird people walking lot at real odd hours making noise out In parking lots people have more than one dog In room have to listen to them bark all the night
Worked for our weekend in south Fl. Small room
Clean room, comfortable bed Ran out of pillows, when first arrived room smelled heavily of bleach, missing light bulbs
Nothing. This place was Not that clean and everything was broken. Wifi non existing. Couldn't wait to get out. Everything. Not clean. Everything broken. No wifi. Not worth the money. Nothing like in the pictures
Staff was really kind and very very helpful The smell like cigarettes, the room was not clean enough. The walls were dirty and there were holes in them. It looked like motel from movies where hookers and dealers come together I do not recommend to anyone
It's very quiet,no one interrupts you. It's good its good side to staying there. Theres a guy that works in reservaton (sorry I forgot you name) he gives great customer service and he smiles. Which is good because makes us feel like a good environment to stay for some time. The carport when you walk puts your feet all black, the breakfast its just cafe and mcmuffin. I know they could do better.
Nothing The room was dirty had a bad smell like some dead in it asked for a better room the second room was worst
Location Dirty, old nasty.
The fact that I had to beg for towels and Wash clothes real poor staff services I don't recommend it by no means the carpet was dirty and nasty.
Ver bad don't go not claen
The people at the front desk was pretty nice that's about it Housekeeping had to keep going to the front desk for rags and towels we had a very nasty smell to it pool was dirty it's just too expensive for what they're offering
Location was convenient but rough neighborhood Nothing like advertised. Dirty and disgusting. Rough crowd. I would not recommend. Try the Vagabond instead. Much nicer.
nothing. Dirty. Not clean. Smells. Dirty rug.
Location was great, Room sizes Staffing, Prices, Attitudes and room quality.....
It was da worst hotel ever basers carpet was a mess floor was stains everywhere ac don't work bathroom was a mess
The walls were covered in nasty unknown splatters and marks, the furniture and bed sheets had cigarette burns as well as the bed was covered in plastic, and the shower head was broken and there were cock roaches in the bathtub. There was an automated air freshener that you couldn't turn off and sprayed the room every 20 minutes which was way too over powering of a smell. Combination of weird odors and nasty Lysol giving me a headache. Save your money you would have a better night sleeping in a car.
Cheap. Good staff - I had booked 3 nights, I had been there for like 30 minutes when I realized "ok, yeah - I can't stay here" It had a TV Its right off a major street, lots of street noise even late at night. The closed door did nothing to help. The wifi was terrible - basically unusable. The mattress still had plastic wrapping on it. So, I guess it was great that it was new? Definitely not for families as the gentlemen right before me booked a room for 3 hrs. Basically all you need to know right there.
Nothing like I hada terrible night I couldn't sleep whole nightwith this hotel room was smell really bed and air conditioner was make too much noise. I dont want to say extremely bad hotel but they need to improve cleaning , secure and stingy. But all over all only good thing was front offfice lady was so nice and helpfull. If possible i need my money back. I had trainig for my job i was sleepy all they.
Location was close to work? When arriving, there was a crackhead walking around the parkhead trying to sell blowjobs. This wasn't just someone randomly walking by, she was staying two rooms down from mine. Second, management raised the price from registration. Third, they tried telling me that the credit card machine was not working because they are clearly trying to rent rooms cash only so they can do things under the table. Fourth, I was woken up at 7:00 am to a housekeeper that opened my door and started yelling something in Spanish. This is NOT AN EXECUTIVE MOTEL. This is a crack motel. Not to mention that the walls were dirty, the sheets had stains, and the hot water did not work in the morning or at night. They advertised a Queen sized bed in the reservation: I was given a double and told for an extra fee I could get a Queen sized bed. Do not stay at this filthy place.
0 % was the most terrible night for my family Nasty place, inside & outside
Proximity to Miami Beach Too expensive for little to nothing. I've stayed at Super 8 that are far superior. Regretted I stayed so long (2 days). There were huge water bugs in bathroom. Besides can't expect less, bath tub was lined with black mold.
Love the big shower room and powerful shower head. Close to a number of amenities. No breakfast included in the booking and wifi was very weak and slow.
Nothing Cleanliness, Services .
The fact that is not used for short hours by unmarried couples (you know what I mean) Limited access to tv channels (I.E. Fox News, espn, food channel) The back window (close to the bathroom) needs to be covered because too much light gets in (Room 103)
aweful. i was traveling with a friend (27 & 28 year old females) didn't feel safe here at all door didn't lock not even with the key, after we discovered that we left and they did give us a full refund.
La atencion es pesima y el Motel esta muy descuidado. La piscina ni funcionaba. Las chapas malas, en los cuartos no hay ni un pequeño escritorio para la gente que llegamos de negocios.
Renting the hotel we see beautiful pictures of rooms, great pool, even better facilities that come with basic amenities. Once you arrive you find yourself stuck with an empty pool under construction, very shady entrance and even worse ghastly rooms. The room only have beds with basic sheets, the door had holes and barely closed leaving you feeling insecure and bathroom didn't have anything, no shower curtains,no towels, nothing. It was essentially four walls and beds. When we tried to get our money back they didn't comply and said that there were no exception not even with the false advertisement on the page. This hotel is definitely an Iron Pyrite, be aware when booking thinking you found a golden hotel for a good price because you'll find yourself with a worthless thing.
There was nothing to like about this "hotel". I hated everything about this "hotel". The service was unhelpful and stupid. It didn't even matter that they couldn't speak English very well, since they had no common sense and blamed the guest for any problems that occurred. The pigeon and bat sounds were annoying and kept me awake. The pool was run down and moldy-looking. The lights no longer worked at some point. the faucets were leaking and you can see the pluming pipes in the bathtub. The bed sheets were stained and ripped in places. The TV did not work. The bathroom door was busted and could not close. The mini fridge was actually a mini freezer. The lamp shade did not shade the light bulb. The window curtains did not completely cover the window. The floor was sticky and overall dirty. The walls were stained yellow with black marks here and there. The security cameras, trespass warning signs (targeted at the guests of the "hotel"), and outer door/gate that was always open but supposed to be closed, made me feel unwelcome and unsafe. Oh, and the room smelled like piss the entire time! This place should be considered on par with the local $10/hr motels.
