The staff were extreemly helpful and friendly. But the best part of the hotel stay has to be the fantastic food and the amazing chef Aldo. We had a group of friends to the hotel for dinner and also another day for a BBQ. Both meals were unbelievable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return someday.Thank you Bramante for a fantastic holiday! If you have a car it's in a fantastic stop for sightseeing and exploring, otherwise you might be a little restricted to Todi...
Nothing unhelpful,very small rooms
Our room had lovely views over the valley, with a large terrace and very tranquil. Swimming pool and tennis court were well looked-after. The only drawback was the (short) walk along a busy road, with no footpath, to get into town.
Beautiful views from pool and breakfast terrace. Large car park and comfortable rooms, which were well serviced. Ordinary b & b breakfast (anything hot was extra, I believe). No hotel porter. Lunch by pool was a rip-off - one was forced to order from a non-existent menu without prices and then charged 18 euros for a simple salad. And lunch appeared to only be available when the staff felt like it. Ordering at 3.00pm was apparently cheeky of me!
Swimming Pool Plastic glasses in room! Not enough hot water.
Good location, easy access, pleasant pool and dining terrace, friendly staff, comfortable well-serviced room with balcony and magnificent view. Can be noisy when there is a function on the terrace, limited menu in restaurant, decor rather dated.
Very friendly staff of the hotel, romantic atmosphere of the place (ancient villa of rich family) double beds were a bit small
great welcome, great restaurant the breakfast is a bit poor
Relais Villa Valentini is the best hotel that I have ever visited! The building itself is a beautiful old building, and the rooms are cosy and comfortable with antique furniture and airconditioning. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. You have the best views of the farms and the mountains from your room!
Central to many locations, I.E. Orvieto, Assisi, Florence, Perugia etc. - very peaceful village, real Italian, very friendly staff Very happy with everything
This hotel is truely fantastic, the staff, location, food, drink, Everything.... I don't think I laughed so much on holiday. Fulvio, the chef was particularly good. The traditional Umbrian meal prepared by him which we ate by the swimming pool was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff .... we'll be back !!! The single room was narrow and dark.
Excellent staff, great location, comfortable, No parking but hotel staff took care of our car, which was greatly appreciated. center of Todi, and therefore the hotel, somewhat hard to find
The town is off the beaten track, no hordes of tourists. One can take little day trips for hikes, or go to a nearby Lake for a swim and a meal. Hotel staff were friendly, family-run and the family is very personable. It was a very pleasant stay.
the place and cleanness of the room breakfast was poor and the room a little bit old fashion
Great staff and service.Friendly and personable.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was very well maintained as were the hotel rooms. We enjoyed a suite on the first floor with a wonderful terrace. It couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was hearty and very nourishing.
The central location.and the beautiul town of Todi. Despite the fact that this hotel specifies that it has disabled access, and I clearly stated on the booking form that my husband was in a wheelchair, in fact there are five steps down to the reception area. There was a 'lift', but this turned out to be a tiny baggage lift, nowhere near large enough for a wheelchair. The manager could not have been less helpful and indeed was very rude and offhand. The young man on the desk was, by contrast, extremely apologetic and helpful (and later gave us good advice on a restaurant).. We appeared to be the only people staying in the hotel - despite its claiming to be full when we tried to book direct - and the breakfast was extremely minimal.
This hotel is a gem set in wonderful location No faults whatsoever
Location, Very small room, very unconfortable bathroom, expensive internet connection
The location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful. And the staff are absolutely wonderful. I could have used another cover on the bed, as it was a bit chilly.
The location is splendid-right in the heart of the old town, only a few paces from the beautiful main square. The staff were particularly welcoming and we enjoyed a set menu for a carnivale dinner which was very good value. The room was pleasant, clean and had a balcony from which we could see the tips of the snowy mountains in the distance. The furnishings were a bit unimaginative-our only minor disappointment with the room.
very modern and comfortable reception staff had good english and very helpful poor internet wi-fi only available in reception area
the shower the noise, the lack of soap and shampoo, the terrible place to have breakfast, the remote control
Exactly what you expect from mid-range business hotel (nice bathroom, decent size room, quiet, helpful english-speaking receptionist...) ... but no internet in room (!) and poor breakfast buffet. Location is not very appealing either (close to highway, view on the industrial zone)
The castle decor was attractive and the waitresses very friendly. Although Convalenza was isolated and not very attractive, nearby Todi and Orvieto were both charming. Our 'suite' would be better described as a medium size bedroom, which felt oppresive due to an over abundance of furniture and a window only 24 inches in diameter. The wardrobe could only be accessed by moving the chairs which then had to be moved back in order to access the shower room. The shower cubicle was very small and the shower head would not stop up. We did not like having to ring a bell and wait for the owner to appear to gain access to the hotel, even during the day.
The owner, Sra. Rosy, made our check in. She was very warm and friendly during all our stay in the hotel . We had dinner twice at the Torre Sangiovanni Ristorante and we had a marvellous tasting of the Umbriam cuisine and Umbriam wine. Very good accomodations.
I fully support the excellent reviews: more than satisfied!
The extrem catholic religious atmosphere, they requested our documentation during the stay instead of copying the data, it seemed to be complicate to go out by night or have dinner outside the hotel, the price of the restaurant was too high not according to the place or the meal.
Iliked the atmosphere, the hospitality of the proprietress, the kind staff, the rooms.
Rosary, the owner, is a delightful, very hospitable woman who only wants to make your stay as pleasant as she can. Her B&B is very charming, in a beautiful little corner of Italy, in an out-of-the way little town dating from the 1100's. Her restaurant is absolutely wonderful, fantastic food, very nicely decorated, you could not hope for anything more wonderful!
As soon as we checked in we were shown to our spacious, comfortable, clean room furnished with attractive antique furniture. Before unpacking, we to the outside patio for a glass of wine, and that lead to ordering two different kinds of pasta for lunch. We went immediately went back inside and asked if we could extend our stay from two nights to three. When we were told that we could be accomodated, we were thrilled! We will stay here every time we have the opportunity to visit Umbria.
Had a great stay close to the lovely town of Todi. Exceptional service and great food. Will come again.
Clean and good breakfast
Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff. Not your run of the mill B&B.
Comfortable room and picturesque location.
The reception was warm and efficient. The view was spectacular and the dinners interesting and tasty. Personally, I missed a bathttub. More signage along the roads would be helpful.
Very nice location and facilities. Great views and tranquility. Very good service.
Stayed in June 2007, the hotel has a very low price compared to others in the area. The hotel had no airconditioning. My room window faced the street and could hear all the traffic noise.
Hotel was clean and at least at this time of year peacefull, The information of the hotel felt to show place to be on countryside, but it was allmost in the town.
