9.0 Excellent
Cons: Feather pillows would be a big i.provement
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I guess you get what you pay for - the location is right in the heart of Old Florence, so not the cheapest place to be - all of the sights are literally on the doorstep within 5 mins. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and clean - whilst not a big hotel in terms of public/lounge areas they are all very well presented. Our room (205) was at the front of the hotel, not the biggest but very comfortable and again very nicely decorated - lot of attention to detail. It had a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi corner bath and large separate walk-in shower - again all very tastefully decorated in marble. we also had a free minibar and a complimentary drink in the bar. All of the the hotel staff that we met were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - making it feel that bit more special. Would definitely return to Spadai for another stay.
Cons: The only downside if there is one is the Happy Hour offered in the bar each evening 6 -8:30 - buy a drink and enjoy a "free" buffet, after a day out sight seeing etc we decided to give it a go - the lesson for this is get there early! The quality of the food declines as the evening wears on, some of the early birds had clearly put food aside for a midnight feast from the better offerings. Not compulsory to attend so not really a big issue...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Hotel. Very good location and extremly friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for central Florence. If you are going to spend a good bit of time on the south side of the river, it's a bit of a walk, but still doable and lots to see along the way! The breakfast had a good selection of items but I would sat that the quality of the food was only good, not great.
Cons: It's difficult to find anything at all that we didn't like about this hotel. The quality of the breakfast could have been a bit better, but there is a large selection to choose from. The drinks at the bar are a bit expensive, but that being said, they offer lovely appetizers each night at no charge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very short walk to Duomo and Uffizi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceptional. I really felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel. Everything in the hotel seemed to be new and I cannot find a single thing to complain about. I also loved the small touches like the gratis mini bar and bathroom accessories.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel ambiance, staff and food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was stunning, the grounds were immaculate and the decor was beautiful!! We have stayed in some very nice hotels in our time and this is definitely one of the best. The staff could have been any more attentive and lovely. We took our 6 year old son he loved it as well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quality of service during dinner. Nice welcome from the reception. Quality of food in the restaurant. Location, hotel surroundings and interiors. Housekeeping.
Cons: Not enough space in the closet. Low selection of food at the breakfast. Pool area should be moved to a different place - not quiet, pool surounded by restaurants and the bar and people sitting and having their launch - not a good place where you would like to relax - pool should be moved to the backyard area. All in all, we found our stay as little bit overpriced.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The quality of staff
Cons: The poor facilities especially the outdoor pool
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If your priority is a Negroni made just right in an elegant setting, look no further! Beautiful location away from the bustle of Firenze with convenient 10min shuttle access. Cuisine is straightforward and taste is on point. A joy to see restaurant staff working in a team like a happy well oiled machine. Clean, well maintained and manicured property with large grounds. Hotel is not “fresh” but has true patina which is rare. Great roomy covered parking for the driver concerned with their car. Service throughout is impeccable and a reasonable price point gives a feeling of great value.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, central with friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the second you pull up you are welcomed to thier property. You do not get checked in, you are welcomed, shown around, told the history of the property and oriented to your new surroundings. The hotel is five star rated for a reason. Service and personal touch make you want to start planning your next visit even before the current one ends. You are located near everything you could want in Florence. Our room had a view of the Duomo. As an added bonus, there is a looking glass into the building that displays a DaVinci work. Stunning facility and world class service.
Cons: I say only joking that my cappuccino did not have a heart in the froth. There is nothing to complain about at this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is absolutely 5 stars all around!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and myself, we love Florence that we visit frequently. This hotel is part of what we love in Florence. The staff is just amazing, very helpful, supportive and professional. Also the facility is breathtaking. It is a renaissance building with genuine renaissance decoration. The restaurant at the reception level is really great as well.
Cons: Nothing.. Really nothing..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was some sort of a palazzo for some historical figure. Whole experience was different than Rome, rooms were more spacious, and Florence pace of life is much more accomodating than the hustle of Rome. Hotel was clean, spacious and staff were gracious hosts. Look forward to go back to Florence and the same hotel. Lot of eateries and bistros nearby...
Cons: All was well done, cant think of any issues that we didnt like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our first stay at the Relais Santa Croce... we chose it because our previously favoured hotel in Florence has closed. The decor is splendid... it is a former aristocrat's palazzo and the position, just to the east of Santa Croce church and Piazza was both central but just far enough away from the main areas to still be quiet at night. The staff, led by the lovely Flora, we all excellent and very helpful with advice and bookings. The steered us to several neighbourhood restaurants that we all excellent that we would have never found by ourselves. Value for money? My view that while the hotel is not cheap, it is more than worth the price you pay for the excellence of the experience and the staff's dedication to the spirit of hospitality. We will return.
Cons: The two lift system was a little confusing, and some of the armchairs in the magnificent lounge were not very comfortable, although they looked great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Looking for a round experience? This hotel is a hidden treasure you wouldn’t believe. With the particularity that you like authentic Italian/monastery style turned into classic luxury/austerity with perfect sense.

Pros: Sophisticated and refined, yet comfortable and relaxing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent, very clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom facilities excellent. Staff extremely good, nothing was too much trouble and super friendly. Food was outstanding and good value. Would recommend room 6.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, right on the beautiful SMN Piazza especially if arriving by train as we did short 10 minute walk, very walk able neighborhood close to everything. The JK is small Beautifully decorated Hotel that makes you feel like you are walking into someones home. The entire staff was gracious and truly made you feel welcome usually greeting you by name. Breakfast was very nice consisting of a nice buffet setup that included allowing to add eggs, pancakes etc. I can attest to the Pancakes I might return just to have them again! Also enjoyed dinner on there outdoor patio which was equally nice the Filet and Truffle dish was the hi-light! The true hi-light of our stay might have been meeting the chef one afternoon in the reception area making homemade Gelato which was simply awesome!
Cons: As is the norm in Europe the room while beautifully appointed was a little small making it hard to get around but the bath itself was huge with a separate walk-in shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, great staff, comfort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s like to be in our house, every thing is very comfortable!
6.0 Good
Pros: The front desk team were amazing and friendly. However, the male servers in the cafe and lounge were not friendly or accommodating. There was a female server who was exceptional, thank goodness, because all of the guests attending breakfast were happy she was there and was so attentive. The hotel is itself lovely, but the room we had was small and right before our stay there were other booking sights with the same room description for 435 Euros and I paid much more because I booked in advance. The room was very tiny and so was the bathroom. Room 3. Wouldn't book there again based upon our experience. I did not discuss the matter at the property, but reflecting back, I should have shown them the other booking site with the lower prices. I am certain we had the smallest room and paid about 33% more.
Cons: The fact that I believe we paid more for booking in advance and should have waited till the last minute as it is off season in now Florence. The male servers in the lounge and breakfast area were rude and should be more pleasant.

Pros: Great location, you could sill walk everywhere but it was nice and secluded and quiet outside of the main city. From the staff Huda and Giovanni were amazing. Pros: Friendly staff, great facilities, and a great location!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property and location were fantastic
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was incredible (2 minute walk from the Duomo and no more than 10 min walk from every major attraction in Florence) The rooms were great but one of them had a very small shower in an otherwise spacious bathroom. The gym is the best you can find in any hotel in Italy and although we didn’t try the Spa i’m sure it’s excellent. The staff was very kind and very professional and the hotel provides valet parking (at an extra charge) which was extremely convenient in the cramped streets of Florence. Overall we had a great experience.
Cons: The shower in the Double/Twin room is way too small. I found myself consistently hitting the wall or the glass door trying while showering. Also the price is a tad bit steep considering the building is very old (although renovated).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything,
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the hotel and the staff especially the receptionists
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Florence. It is steps away from the Duomo, but tucked away so that it is quiet and seems to be off the beaten path...perfect location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is attentive. The lobby is very comfortable, lots of attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is lovely, with many options.....something for everyone. This is our second stay at this hotel and we will return. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Marvelous place! Very elegant design and medieval age decoration. Located at the heart of the city.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, public areas, location
Cons: Rooms need to have a separate shower. Bathroom relatively small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was expensive but it delivered all the luxury we wanted for a wonderful stay right in the heart of Florence.
Cons: Some problems paying the hotel for the reservation using its electronic payment system.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Helvetia Bristol could not have been warmer and more accommodating during my four night stay. Their warm welcomes and spot-on suggestions were greatly appreciated. I love this hotel and will definitely return. It is a historic boutique hotel (don't expect large rooms). The location cannot be beat in central Florence.
Cons: The rooms are small and in need of a little love (new carpet).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and warm staff, also location is fine
Cons: Hot water is not really “hot” in the bath
5.1 Okay
Pros: Cappuccino. Staff was understanding.
Cons: The rooms next to the street are noisy because of the late night bars and at this time of year you can't have AC in the rooms because one system works the entire building. If you are hot or uncomfortable you have to open a window which just lets the noise in. Street cleaners, and trash service comes by at 5am which is nuts! Breakfast was blah...Single room was a closet and horrible shower. Im in shape and didn't fit in the shower.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, 5 min. from all the main attractions. Very nice staff and clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: The bathroom was small, the breakfast area was too crowded. During our stay there was a renovation work and some noise during the day.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice historic hotel.
Cons: The room we got did not have a window to street. The room charge was calculated without actual extras. The breakfast restaurant was quite small and the breakfast was overpriced (€35 pretty person). Surprisingly for me the reception charged my bank card in USD and I got extra FX losses of €100 for 2 nights. They promised to reimburse them but I am not sure if it will happen - I have no paper for that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful, classic hotel, sumptuously appointed, but not over the top. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfasts are elegant. (Best croissants of our trip!) The location is perfect, close to everything. Wonderful in almost all respects, BUT . . .
Cons: The hotel has a problem with noise, especially on the Via del Pescioni side. We were on the second floor, and disturbed during the night by revelers in the street, but especially by the very loud noises of service vehicles starting about 6 am. The hotel must be aware of this, because they provided ear plugs (!) by the bedside. (We should have had the wits to read this ominous sign.) They moved us to a room on the other side for our second night. Avoid rooms overlooking the street! Also, there is no coffee machine in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. 10-15 minute walk to everything, but quiet location. Service like one does not find anymore. Worth the money.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: location staff was really helpful and friendly
Cons: internet is slow room was too small for this price
9.6 Excellent
Cons: As 5 stars hotel they should improve breakfast because it was very poor, no eggs, no tomatoes, etc...

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was our 3rd staying in the hotel.. This time we booked 3 rooms ranging from suits to classic Location: was the main reason I booked this hotel Close to everything. Staff: starting with the ever so friendly and professional door men; Mr Eugenio, Mr Hassan, & Mr Rafael- very helpful & in spite of the heat had a genuin smile through out the day. That goes for the lovely ladies and gentlemen in the reception as well- tolerating obnoxious guests.. Note to guests : please carry your own hand bags- you look tacky walking with a person trailing behind you with YOUR own hand bag! Breakfast: decent selection and very attentive staff.
Cons: A 5 star hotel with a rather pricy rate, the rooms could do with a little bit of an uplift decor wise. Also if a guests has a birthday or a special occasion like we had (my mothers birthday) it would have been nice to have a complimentary bouquet of some sorts.. we bought one but having mentioned in advance that it was a celebration it would have been a thoughtful touch :)
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Bathroom door didn’t lock fully
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very friendly staff, great room and comfortable bed. Helpful advice on tourist attractions. Would go again.
Cons: Breakfast was good by Italian standards but the buffet could have been more generous.

Pros: we've stayed before and it was just as good, A really lovely peaceful oasis 15 mins bus ride from central Florence.
Cons: loved everything
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very nice breafast, location exceptional and room excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The balcony room which we stayed was fantastic. A large space complete with table and chairs and a 2 seater sofa, and the views over Florence and the hotel pool were amazing. The room was large with a separate living room with kitchen, containing a hob, sink, fridge, dishwasher, dinner service and a nespresso coffee machine (50 cents per pod). The bedroom was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and a large comfy bed and this led onto the bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and sink. The shower wasn't the best, space and pressure wise, but the view out of the window made up for that. You also get the use of a mobile phone to use the internet and make phone calls whilst you're staying there, something I've never seen before and a great touch. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a good selection of meats, cheeses, pastries and cereal and you could have eggs cooked to order. We had an evening meal twice and both times the food was great, the wine we chose also great and reasonably priced. Lastly all the staff we met were friendly and approachable and we'd definitely stay here again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our 5 nights at Eden Rock Resort. The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious and provided more than we needed. The hotel has a nice pool though too cold while we we there last week. In the summer it should be perfect. The breakfast was plenty with fresh baked omelts or other variantions. We enjoyed a cocktail at the bar and had a nice truffle pasta and wine in the restautant. There is a busstop right outside the hotel for when you return from the city. Going to the city you had to walk 800m alongside a road or the hotel would provide a drop off. The bus is perfect to visit Florence, it costs just €1,50 which you can pay with creditcard (nfc) and has a 20min schedule so just a short wait. So if you like the busy city during the day but want to relax at night Eden Rock is the place for you.
Cons: Situated on a mountainside the entrance/exit is steep and visibility of oncomming traffic was somewhat hard. The garage parking was not included in the price of the stay. I might have overlooked that at the moment of booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Immensely accommodating staff, impeccable views, and quiet, serene and relaxing environment. Would come back and stay anytime. Could not speak highly enough about this place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service! Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is stunning and the facilities are perfect. We would definitely recommend this place... :-)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved our spacious apartment and terrace with amazing views of Florence. We loved being a short distance away because we got away from the really busy pace of the centre of the city. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, including dropping down at the bilus stop for the short trip into the city centre.
Cons: Dining room lacked a bit of atmosphere.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was clean and had good views.
Cons: The service was definitely not up to par with the premium charged. The shower was weak, the breakfast was mediocre, they charge extra €12 for room service despite already charging a high premium for the room rate. They also charge €0.50 to use the coffee machine in your room which I’ve never had a hotel charge for coffee before. I was served my coffee in a dirty unwashed cup that had lipstick marks on and the staff didn’t even seem that apologetic. Won’t be staying here again when in Florence.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view and hospitality.

Pros: The rooms, breakfast, the view!!!, check in and check out. We were more than satisfied with B&B Gepparino and will recommend it to everybody who wants to travel to and explore Tuscany.
Cons: Everything was perfect. I could not name one thing we did not like during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is absolutely the best B&B we have ever visited. The rooms are spacious (we had a walk-in closet!) and clean, and a great combination of rustic and modern. The owner’s daughter is an architect, so every detail is professionally designed and carefully planned to the perfection. And the view on the Tuscan hills from the terrace/windows is amazing. Also, it is a great central spot for exploring all of Tuscany by car. Breakfast was especially fabulous, with local produce (bruschetti, ham, sausages, home-made jams, cakes, fresh fruit and fresh mozzarella etc.). Bathroom/shower is modern, clean and completely new. Last, but not the least, the hosts are really friendly, helpful and kind. Our car sadly broke down along the way, so the hosts drove us to the local mechanic, and gladly helped us through all our troubles. A truly gorgeous and wonderful place.

7.9 Good
Pros: hotel smell, hotel design & furniture.
Cons: room service food was horrible.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breadfast is excellent, and the room is spacious and clean. I am so surprised that the staff give me a birthday cake during the morning breadfast buffet session. This make my day! Thank you very much
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Great location. Cosy. It reflects Florence at its best. The staff was great, friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area, restaurants, shows. We had a great time.
Cons: Our only complaint is Florence is a noisy city at night and that requieres windows that are soundproof. If they change this, its a 5 star for us.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! We were in walking distance to all of the major must see attractions and incredible shopping. We were fortunate to have a room with a fresco on the ceiling which was amazing. Although we were on the first floor, we heard very little noise from the street. The staff was great and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: The cost of the food was high. 50 euro for a couple to eat breakfast was not an appealing option for us. Instead we opted to eat at one of the local establishments for less than 16 euro that included 2 breakfast sandwiches (large - we could have actually split one), a cappuccino and a bottle of water. Would recommend sampling
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, very close to all the attractions of Florence such as Ponte vecchio and uffizi gallery. Plenty of shops and eatery nearby. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. Room was big and with Coffee making facility. I would recommend this hotel.
Cons: Wifi a bit slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just amazing location, bang smack in the middle of Florence, just minutes walk from literally everything. We had a comfortable stay. The staff were super friendly, especially Maria on reception. The rooms are equipped with everything you need. Spacious for a city hotel and the hotel itself is very small with no amenities but for comfort and style and location, it was great. We did not eat in the hotel but restaurant is small and you will need to book. There is parking with a private garage at £30 per day and that includes the ZTL charge.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Great city stay.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Italy, and this was our favorite. Very centrally located, a short walk to all the museums, etc. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and sincerely friendly. The room was gorgeous, the breakfast the best we've experienced in a long time. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Florence.
Cons: A tad cold, even though it was in the 90s outside. Had to turn off the AC. That did the trick.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was outstanding! Excellent location. Great breakfast buffet. Fast wifi. Would definitely stay there again!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the view were awesome. A place to be for a couple of days for sure! The staff was also great!
Cons: The restaurant was closed at the day we arrived, and that was a relevant point to book the place. We stayed just for one night. It would have been nice to be informed about that after the booking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The landscape around the property is really beautiful and you are away from it all but close enough to many of the areas attractions (With a car). The staff were all great and so friendly. Special mention to Lauro in the restaurant who goes out of his way to take care of you in such a genuine and friendly way!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic site, superbe staff
Cons: No restaurant Sunday to Tuesday
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Above expectations! It was our first holiday with our newborn baby, because of the staff, the location and facilities it was perfect. We were accomodated with the Anglianico appartment which completely matched our requests. During naps we could sit or lay outside in the sun or have a drink in the evening just next to our door, ideal when having a holiday with a baby. The location is Tuscany at its best, great views from the poolside and beautiful surroundings all around. All facilities are clean and well preserved. The restaurant has great breakfast and is perfect for an evening dinner with a view. Staff are as friendly as you can get, we are coming back within a few years.
Cons: Little drive to get to a nearby village, for us not a big problem, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere!
7.9 Good
Pros: This property is gorgeous, possessing immaculate grounds and surrounded by world-class vineyards, as you expect from Chianti's First Family. The pool area could not be more lovely. The hospitality portion fell short, however. There was a lack of room amenities you expect for the price, a skimpy breakfast buffet and no WIFI reception in our cottage (which a repeater might have solved). Let me stress again that the positioning in the Chianti hills is tailor made for a high end experience. Antinori's multi-level winery/ trattoria 8 km away provides all their wines for tasting that you select and pay for by the pour. Their Michelin one-star restaurant, 5 km way, the Osteria di Passignano, is the restaurant you dream of finding in Tuscany... each course composed of local dishes carefully re-invented. But there are many agri-turismo options and inns in the area that could provide better hospitality for less than half this cost.
Cons: Skimpy in room amenities and breakfast and lack of WIFI are appropriate to a 3-star hotel for far less.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was authentic, unic, the originally feeling of Toscana
Cons: It would be good to not close the restaurant at 10 pm.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The view of the Tuscany was amazing - especially during sunset.
Cons: This was the penultimate part of my 10 day trip in Italy which went Venice - Florence - Tuscany and soon to be Rome. I had planned to travel here from Florence without a car but unfortunately it was an Italian public holiday so no buses were running - it would have been nice if I was given a heads up by the accommodation but I was not. Instead the offered me a taxi service for over 100 Eur - no thanks. The staff were friendly enough but generally seemed quite robotic in the way that they spoke and their mannerisms - as if they were following a script which they had no freedom to stray from. Any kind of conversation you would try to initiate went nowhere. Without a car I was limited in what I could do as while the location was beautiful it was extremely remote. Its nice that they offer bikes for you to use but the surrounding hills are impossible to cycle up so they are quite pointless. I spent 2 nights there but the air-conditioning in my room did not work so I only managed to get about 3 hours sleep each night. On my final night I slept on the bathroom floor due to the humidity of the room. The paid for food was nice and reasonably priced but the included breakfast was very uninspired. Upon checking out the property forced me to pay for my room again (despite showing the confirmation of my payment and the transaction on my bank statement!). They refused to give me my passport until I paid so I had to - this has left me with limited funds for my remaining time in Italy. Luckily booking.com immediately called them and offered a refund to me but now I must wait 15 days for this. My 2 nights in Tuscany was supposed to be the most relaxing part of my holiday but instead it was like a nightmare I could not wait to wake up from. My final stop is Rome but this part of my vacation has put a huge damper on what was so far a very pleasant time in Italy. Stay away. David
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful scenery from Dei Medici Descent breakfast
Cons: Air conditioner did not work well
