Perched on the cliffside, this hotel is one of the best. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and the swimming pool overlooked the valley below. The breakfast was also fantastic.
Amazing location, facility, service, food. Even parking. This is the second time I have stayed here and cannot say enough about the staff- superb! Especially Jesus- who has gone above and beyond each time to ensure our stay was terrific!
The hotel was very well located. Easy to find and easy to park. These things matters much in old historic places. Top notch! The room was spacious, and even though we did not have the superior room we had a lovely small terrasse (all rooms have terrasses) with a nice view. We were very happy in the hotel and the city of Ronda.
Nothing Over priced. We cancelled our stay after viewing the smelly room with aircondition that doesn't work because the hotel is switching it to a cooling system only in May. We had 30 degrees in the room.
Buautiful place on the bridge. The place itself must see sight. 20Euro parking fee for one night.
Location most definately!
Central location with numerous places to eat. Great views over the valley. 20 euros per day car parking.
The balcony of our room and the view were outstanding. The room was large, bright, and comfortable.
room, breakfast, ambient, position
This parador is an enchanting place. Once you get to it you just forget the outside world and could stay there forever with time standing still. The location is it's main feature and the layout brings out the best views of the countryside around Ronda. Maybe not affordable to everyone.
Nice location and good view I didn`t have much time to have breakfasr because of the train.(Londa 08:58) I hope it starts at least from 7:30.
Hotel was centrally located and was clean, confortable and of very good standard. I left my shoes in the rooom and they promptly couriered themmto me which was greatly appreciated. WiFi in rooms which is very convenient. We used the cafe for breakfast which was "good' but suggest eating our for dinner.
The hotel is in a great location, in the center of Ronda, and the entire staff and owner are very friendly.
Even though this was a four star hotel the staff could not be more welcoming so far as the storage of our (rather dirty) bicycles were concerned. They were locked away in a special room - that is what I call hospitality, unlike some hotels I could mention.
Very central. Old fashioned hotel but perfect for one night. Friendly staff.
Very central location, right in the town centre and close to all tourist attractions. Parking is difficult in Ronda and the hotel's own underground car park is a big advantage. Staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The buffet breakfast was of a very good standard for the type of hotel.
We chose suite which had sitting area as well. No evidence we could be served coffee later in the evening
A really nice hotel with good facilities and parking. The shopping and tourist spots are all around this hotel and as long as you remembr that the shops use the antiquated system closing 2 to 5pm you will have a good time although 1 night will be enough to see everything local. We had a pleasent stay and then moved to the coast for entertainment because there is not much of that here in Ronda.
Location. Friendly english speaking staff.
Location close to Puente Nuevo and arena, stuff very helpful, a lot of bars and restorans in the area.
Great location, very convenient parking
cleanliness of room; location a fridge would be a welcome addition to the room facilities
Nice staff,nice clean room.Excellent price.
Very good location and very fair price. Triple room was very small. It is very difficult to move our lagage around. However, for what we paid, it is fair.
Comfortable, clean and quiet room. Poor breakfast at the cafe where smoking was allowed. Parking quite far away from the hotel.
The location is very good. It is close to the bus station, train station and the old town. The room and the bathroom are clean. The girl at the reception can speak some English. I have to check out early in the morning so I asked her if there is somebody early in the morning. She said yes. But next morning when I came downstairs, there is nobody and the reception room is closed.
The hotel was conveniently located in Ronda, just a few minutes walk from the breathtaking views of the gorge. The breakfast arrangement with a nearby cafe was quite good. The young staff were a pleasure to deal with. I would not think twice about staying there again, but for the pillows. The pillows were like sandbags, hard & unyielding.
Little hotel in the center of Ronda. Little rooms but comfortable and clean
Very friendly, at check out I even received a small bottle of the local wine.
Very kind receptionist guy!
Friendly staff noisy corridors as all bare marble floors
the location and friendly staff, very nice little hotel which we will be using again.
It has the charm of a small hotel, excellent service and in the center The breakfast can be improved, but it was ok
Location of Hotel Lack of parking and elevator out of action
elevator is out of order
The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Alex at reception was lovely and very helpful. The cafe is excellent! Can't think of a thing. Great location and lovely accommodations.
Hotel staff were friendly, rooms clean and adequate for a short stay.
Central position near gorge. Easy to drop in with shopping.
Stuff very friendly, all nice and clean, air-conditioning smooth and quiet - best nights sleep inhere! Great breafkfast too.
its central location and value for money. poor sound insulation between rooms and corridor
Great location in Ronda Not impressed by breakfast buffet
The location to the center of the town is excellent. The park across the street is great as you can take walks in the evening with an excellent view of the valley. The corridor of the hotel looks great, but once you get into your room, watch out! We have asked for a quiet room for our 5 night stay, but got this noisy & smelly deal. What I didn't like was the foul smell from the bathroom, which was more less like a sewer backed up. We had to leave the bathroom door closed at all times, as this was quite revolting. This hotel is recommended by Rick Steves in his book on Spain, but he obviously didn't stay in our room! Understandably, he cannot guarantee all his hotels that he recommends.
We were impressed with the service, cleanliness and location of the Hotel Royal in Ronda. It is ideally located and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is also an excellent value for the price. I really cannot report anything that I did not like.
the locaton very near to the centre.
Great value! Good breakfast included in the price and the room was pleasant.
The location was central in Ronda The rooms had a smokey smell.
Authentic ambience, perfecty renovated building, beautiful views, nice staff. Room decorated with a lot of style, bathroom with massage shower. The price for breakfast includes only coffee and bread with mermelade. No breakfast buffet. Further items will be charged extra (e.g. orange juice). No internet access. Bad television connection.
The staff and the owner were excellent hosts, they made us feel at home.
Beautiful hotel in the countryside complete with its own bull ring and chapel. The room was beautiful (we were even upgraded to a room with a huge terrace even though we only booked a standard room), and the staff were very friendly. Had dinner at the hotel one night, and the food was excellent too. No complaints - everything was great.
Peacefull stay, looks of the building, swimming pool, friendly personal, nice room, looks on surrounding, looks from dining area to Zahara, nice dinner. Notting at all, maybe that their english good be better...
The location, the building, and the decor were charming. The bed was comfortable and the room well equipped. Particularly liked the silence - no barking dogs! The views from the terrace were quite beautiful. It was expensive. The food (we stayed for dinner) was adequate but not four star quality.
There is a beautiful view from the balcony (in the superior rooms) and lovely grounds. The reception staff were very helpful and the room was spotlessly clean The room was quite small for the price, and I would not class the restaurant as 4 star - it was quite basic. There was very little choice for breakfast.
Small, quaint hotel with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Quiet, relaxing countryside stroll just outside the gates. Good food.
The setting was wonderful. The atmosphere was welcoming and very relaxed. We had a very warm welcome and were treated exceptionally well. The food was great.
Very friendly staff, great location, quiet and relaxing athmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, good kitchen.
Great location,Very clean & tidy
We asked to change rooms immediately we checked in as the balcony was next to a large air vent from the kitchen. We thought the room decor was out-dated and rather shabby. We sat on the balcony in the evening but there was a strong smell of drains every few minutes which meant we had to go inside. We had a car and were able to travel into Ronda but otherwise the location was not very convenient for sight-seeing. Overall, the price per night was very expensive, and did not reflect the accomodation. A budget price would have been more reasonable.
Lovely clean room, helpful staff.
very pleasant staff, clean rooms, nice pool, good food. road noise very bad,as was the air con.
The hotel is well priced, in comparison with other hotels in and around Ronda. It is an adequate hotel, within easy distance from the town. I would not recommend it for more than one night, it's ideal if you're travelling around Andalusia. There seems to be a nice pool outside, but since I stayed here end of november, of course did not enjoy that. Staff were very friendly. The location is close to the highway, which is handy, but not scenically interesting.
A well run hotel with excellent modern facilities. The out door pool was and bar/restaurant facilities weere good for a budget hote.
Rooms were impeccably clean and staff courteous and friendly Breakfast was overpriced and rather disorganised. Its situation 2 km from the town was a problem, given that parking in Ronda is difficult to impossible
A little gem, with all you could ask for in a full service hotel in the countryside a couple of kilometers outside Ronda. Bed was a bit hard
Staff were quick to help with any concerns No one realy could work out how to stop the aircon.
rooms modern and clean location supposed to be quiet but situated on main road constant noise.
The staff was very friendly, cosy apartment, large swimmingpool and all the animals of this very beaitful location. Total relax in the countryside we had nothing to complain, the positive guest reviews reflect our experience(we are family with 1 child of 8 years)
Quietness. Mountain lovation, beautiful horses. Website gives the impression you can ride from here. When asked at reception we were told the riding is not done from the hotel. Riding was 3 hours and cost £45. We emailed the hotel prior to going to find out prices and when we could ride and they failed to provide this information.
Relacting, very spahish and well kept. A fantastic place.
The location just 4 km from Ronda was perfect for either relaxing away from crowds or as a base for exploring the region. The small number and style of rooms made you feel as though you were in your own cottage - again perfect. Being on an active ranch, it was a pity you could not hire any horses there but had to travel into Ronda to do that.
Beautiful country location. Very clean interesting well kept facility. Friendly staff
nice rooms, nice and friendly staff, nice pool, good breakfast and nice location rooms where not very clean (found quite a few some hair of another person in our (bath)room. Train track at the opposite of the hotel ... which was something I did not expect too see. However no disturbance of the noise ...
Friendly service. Very helpful with lots of information about the local area and things to do.Beautiful location. Really clean and comfortable rooms. Great food and wine.
great views and good location.
Pleasant staff and well kept rooms ,great scenery
the location is wonderful, very quiet. The room (apartment type) is confortable. Taking breakfast in the garden is also very nice in summer. The rooms are very clean but due to the fumigation treatment, there were many flies dying in the lower floor when we woke up in the morning.
The hotel is located in an old mill building in a charming place on a river bank, it is very quite and peaceful and it is one of the best places we stayed in Andalusia. The swimming pool was already open in May and we enjoyed it a lot. Phillip, the hotel manager, is doing really great job! Thank you so much. As well as all the other staff who are very amicable and helpful. We are highly recommended to stay in this wonderful place. The dinner is good, do not expect gourmet. The hotel is located in the heart of pueblos blancos area so you get to beautiful villages very easily by car. It was a little bit difficult to find the place, we suggest to look for a funny private castle on Benaojan road and the hotel is just next to it. Note that not all the rooms are identical so what you see in the website of the hotel is not necessarily the one you get.
the friendly helpfulness of the proprietor in lending maps and suggesting drives & walks, printing out relevant instructions; the terrace by the stream; the position in a pretty, quiet spot; delicious meals; attentiveness & friendliness of all staff minor: as our room was right next to the door and reception desk, it felt a little exposed
I liked all in this hotel: service, rooms, restaurant, the owner Phillip was very-very kind
The Room was very nice (not big )and the beds are superb. The location is beautiful The hotel is around 15 km from ronda the swimmingpool is located near the road so you hear the traffic
Excellent, friendly, discreet service. with a relaxed atmosphere. Fine room, comfortable with all conveniences working efficiently. Beautiful scenery, and a lovely hotel building.
Very scenic, peaceful and the building and decor was tasteful
Location is beautifull, really in the middle of nowhere Unfriendly staff. Our house was invaded by ants, up and in to the beds. Swimming pool to small for the capacity of the hotel, Sunbeds out of date. Dull dining and breakfast room, Air condition can not handle the family rooms. The whole place needs a mega shake up. Only the location is fantastic
Far away from the noise in the cities. Quietness and a beautiful place.
I thought the setting was gorgeous, the rooms were spacious and the overall hotel was charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a very nice change from the city hotels in which we were otherwise staying. The rooms were somewhat rustic, which I did not mind at all. The food choice at dinner was limited. The choice was rabbit(which we don't eat) or an omelette. The omelette was very good. The breakfast was adequate.
Breakfast was the best feature
Peaceful and good value for money
Excellent location, in the middle of nowhere. Amazing views of the mountains ! The hotel was very Spanish, old countryside style. The rooms were lovely and clean the bathroom with all modern amnesties. Ideal for those who want to relax and enjoy the nature. The pool was a good size. In overall very enjoyed the time ! The perfect location can be very difficult to find and GPS does not find it. I would advise you to call or email them for the specific directions.
the beauty of the location. the quiet, the smell in the bathroom
Great location, very professional staff, very comfortable room, original design! Nothing to complain about!
Hotel décor, design and ambience. Breakfast was incredibly poor and whilst staff were friendly, they seemed stretched as there wasn't enough working.
The location was outstanding and the room offered us a view of Ronda. The staff were helpful at all times and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
easy access to sites, very friendly staff
Great location right by the bridge over the gorge and next to the bullring. Staff was very friendly even walking us out to the car with umbrellas when we were leaving because it was raining.
Very friendly staff, also the hotel is in the centre of toen Nothing
Not a 4 Star by any means but more like a 2/2.5.Therefore very expensive and somewhat disappointing. Room was tired - Breakfast was very limited and the back of the building with no natural light.
View and close to everything
Location of the hotel is good. Rooms are modern, but there is not nearly enough light in the rooms. In the evening you seem to be wandering around in a sort of semi-darkness. Staff at reception spoke hardly any English. Breakfast very basic. Better to have breakfast somewhere else.
Value for money. Location so long as we insisted upon rooms with view. Problem of parking arrangements; having to enter via paid parking area where personnel insisted we pay even though hotel has arrangements.Hotel staff challenged the parking staff but we had already had to pay!this has gone on apparently for 6 years but still isn't resolved!
very little , this is not a four star hotel. It offers none of the facilities accociatedx with this categorty of hotel, the price was fair enough for what it was but it self was a major disappointment
Very friendly staff, even if we arrived after official closure of kitchen, we still got our dinner (because the place is quite isolated, without alternatives for eating late in the evening). Real nice room, splendid courtyard and garden.
An extremely friendly and welcoming hotel in a beautiful location The access road is very rough in places.
Swimming-pool, free internet access, dinners and self-service bar A bit out of the way but actually liked the quietness and beauty of the surrounding mountains.
It's right in the middle of olive plantation which gives a whole different feeling. Charmingly decorated. Limited choices in the restaurant. One of the menu items not available. Finding the hotel not so easy.
The hotel is very charmy. A small hotel with a good hotel service on a nice location (about 20 min. drive from Ronda). The hotel was the first time a bit difficult to find. But it was
staff and location, a pleasant respite from ronda and great food they are upgrading the road in and it is needed.
very peaceful and relaxing hotel in unique building. great food. not easy to find but actually once arrived it was not difficult to find.
The nice surroundings, beautifull room, nice swimming pool no refrigirator in the room only very expensive food at the restaurant.
excellent location for my needs; high standard of comfort/facilities for my needs Excellent food, but portions rather small
The suroundings and the way you are welcomed by the staff was fantastic. It was an all round fabulous Spanish experiance! Great!
freandly, english speaking (rare for Spain) staff no meal service
The hotel is just wonderful! excellent location, rooms are small but very comfortable, air-conditioning in the room, and bath accessories. a very small breakfast, only toast and tea.
It was located in a central place the room was ok and breakfast was in a cafe near by. staff was nice.
Nice reception and good rooms and bathrrom no
nothing spetial entrance, location///
Good location, walking distance to the city center. Clean. The bed does not suit tall people.
Convenient location, 10 min walk from the train station, about 10-15 min from the bridge and the old town. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Basic but comfartable room, with some toiletries in the bathroom. Would reccommend for short stays. They also provided us with a map, and indcated the main parts of town to head for, and accurately located an internet cafe ffor us. Very helpful, although they spoke very little English and we spoke even less Spanish! The hotel's cafe seems to be being renovated, and so the breakfast was available in a nearby cafe. However they did not tell us this when we arrived, we had to ask where breakfast was, but due to our very poor Spanish this was very hard for us to understand! It was even harder when we got the the cafe and had to convince them that they should give us a free breakfast! However this would have been easier if our Spanish was better.
good location; good breakfast
Very good location, 10 minutes walking from train station, and just located on the main street. Walking to new bridge also 10 minutes. Clean and sweet room.
very cheap hotel. Nice staff, clean hotel, cheap parking. Beds were very short and quite uncomfortable. Very very noisy with very thin walls. Was woken up at 3am, 6am, 6,30am etc from other guests and then the street. Airconditioning had 2 settings, off or extremely cold. Moved out after one night to the Polo apartments which were far far nicer. Reminds me why I avoid budget nowdays! beds were too short for 6foot 2 person. Could hear every noise from other rooms and the street. Very noisy street from 6am.
gardens and view staff mediocre, some facilities in poor repair
The room was beautiful. The location was close to the center of town and the view of the mountains was peaceful. The staff was nice and the we enjoyed our stay. The bed was not that comfortable and the water was not as hot as I would have liked. I like hot showers.
Views and position No information as to facilities activities or local area except one brochure about the bull ring!! Amazing
The setting. The views were wonderful and our room had a private terrace so we could enjoy them even more. We dined at the hotel and the food was very disappointing. I had the pasta which contained three cm squares of meat and one slice of mushroom. That is absolutely true! My friends' meals were equally tasteless. The hotel is also in need of some serious TLC but the former glory still shows through and we will stay again, but only eat there if they hire a chef!
the viez no street signs saying where it was
We like the hotel's proximity to town and the fabulous views of the valley below Ronda, especially from the hotel balcony. Reception staff members were helpful. The food in the restaurant was good, too. Creaky wooden floors in the very long hallways. The overall sense that the hotel's "golden" days are well behind it.
Free parking ( no reservation required) ; very important in Ronda.Good-sized room , very comfortable. Wonderful views from our balcony. May be an issue with sound-proofing between rooms though we were not really troubled.
The location and gardens. Also we were given a room with an attractive view. Spacious room, comfortable and clean. Our room suffered from the smell of damp: water had seeped in from the bathroom above?
VHotelery plesant staff and Very comfortable Resturant Menu quite limited
its location in Ronda balcony rooms with spectacular views hot water very scarce
Nice little hotel Good location No parking facilities.
location + value for money + cheap parking possibility
Overall the hotel was good, friendly staff, good location, good wifi. Parking not too far away. My only complaint was the carpeting in the bedroom. It was old and stained so you couldn't tell if it was clean or not.
clean and convenient no real dislikes - just a simple easy to use hotel
Good value Dirty Room Carpet
Location was good.
Todo bien la verdad. Muy aconsejable.
It was very central. A beautiful town.
Breakfast was good-staff (most)were helpful.Room was heated well.Shower was nice.Towels a little thin.
Central location and ease of parking
The triple room is big. NONE
Visited Grazelema and walked in the NAture Reserve No teat/coffee making facilities in the room
Lovely house full of character. Great location for sight-seeing
the friendliness of the owner basically, i felt it was over priced for what it was.
The welcome at Hotel Ronda was so friendly and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The location is right in the middle of all the places to visit, close to the bridge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were all delighted with our choice and our stay.
Bookings at Hotel Ronda are allocated into one of two establishments - "Hotel Ronda" or "Baraka". We were lucky enough to have stayed at the Baraka which is a very idyllic Andalusian house in one of the winding cobbled streets in Ronda's old town. It is rare to be able to stay in a Spanish home complete with white washed walls and inner courtyard and still have total privacy. wonderful stay
It was perfect!
very welcoming and pleasant. Like a B & B with no breakfast - besides coffee in the lobby - plus cookies and a fruit bowl. We liked it enough to stay twice. Free internet. parking in the narrow streets is difficult and a very small car is best by far. Bathroom lacks ventilation. No bathtub.
The hotel os well situares, its very small and cozy, clean and cute. Wonderful fluffy towels and a comfy bed. La señora Nieves is a very caring perdón. She knew what we needed before I did!
The interior of the room was very tastfull. The hotel owner was very good
It was like staying in a private home and Nieves (the owner) and Rocio (her niece) were excellent hosts.
Very friendly, great location, easy to find.
The rooms were clean and modern. It was not far to the centre of Ronda within easy walking distance. The breakfast room was a bit gloomy
Clean hotel and friendly personnel with the best English language skills so far on our trip through Spain.
Very beautiful room for a low price! In the centre of Ronda. It was a little hard to find a parking place - but we did this as well.
Friendly, Spanish hosts. Cute room.
Friendly staff, even let us choose between two rooms since we were with a child. Good location, walking distance from the old city.
Staff very nice and helpful, right in middle of city, easy walk for all tourist areas. We were kept awake all night with street revellers, and racing cars and bikes, up till 5.30am. But it was Saturday night, and hotel staff couldn´t really have done anything, although there was no hotel staff working after 11.pm
Very friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast. Not bad location. Elevator. No wi-fi. The room we got was in the attic, so we couldn't stand in most of the room's surface. We weren't informed ahead that this would be the situation.
Well located for the tourist attractions. The cold shower. Don't stay here unless you like to start the day with a cold shower.
nice rooms and facilities a bit noisy street and the breakfast quality should be improved
It was a quiet place. lack of parking room
A fun hotel, with many surprises and plenty of places to just enjoy 'being'. The free drinks policy added to the feeling of welcome, beyond its cash worth. We didn't like the ventilation system. We got too much 'bathroom' smell in the room, and faint cigarette smoke odours seemed to be carried on the centralised system. Our visit was in July and we woke in the night, too hot. It seems the hotel switched off the cooling system in the small hours. It seemed strange to give free drinks yet skimp on the airconditioning. Yet our overall experience of this hotel is still very positive.
This hotel was wonderful--a highlight of our trip. The decor was fun and eclectic; the location great; the staff helpful. They were also so very generous--complimentary drinks including wine, sherry and beer. And the breakfast which also was complimentary was unbelievably generous and tasty. nothing -- a great place.
great hotel, very very special hotel. Never have seen something like that!
A great breakfast, free drinks and a games room! Staff friendly and helpful. Not easy to find, at the bottom of a hill (130 steps to climb to go into town). Very noisey, walls paper thin...
This is a quirky but magical hotel, with gardens leading from courtyard to balcony with lovely country views. Our room was imaginatively furnished and the bar/breakfast room is startling. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I loved this hotel!! Among the 8 hotels I stayed at in Spain, this hotel was the most comfortable and the most impressive one for me. The location was good. The staffs were very friendly. The inside facilities were excellent, esp. the garden and the small library. When I go to Ronda again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Not at all.
Everything. Great location, fabulous staff, wonderful amenities. This is a great, funky little hotel that I would receommend to everyone and would stay again in a heartbeat. We had a great room with a terrace and the hotel has open bar (help yourself 24/7) to drinks and coffee. The location couldn't be better and the staff was wonderful - they give each guest a tour of the hotel and you need one to find all the hidden treasures (like the stones in the aquarium you walk across to access the garden - very cool). Rooms large and comfortable!!!
Great value for money. Fab breakfast and loads of facilitis for chilling out.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff The decor and ambience is great One can self serve drinks The breakfast is fantastic NO
We liked the pool, the friendly helpful staff, the quantness, the fantastic breakfast & the fact that all drinks are included. A little bit difficult to get to, although Ronda is not the easiest place to navigate in that part of the town.
