Pros: Our room was perfect. It was cozy, charming and perfectly, spotlessly clean. We had our own private terrace area to sit and enjoy a complimentary drink upon arrival and to feast on a fantastic breakfast prepared by our hostess. The whole experience was magical and the view from this gem of a spot spectacular. Our host and hostess were so very kind, helpful and accommodating. We hope to be back one day!

Pros: Absolutely lovely room and private patio, well-equipped and new with beautiful touches throughout. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect! We really enjoyed our stay here and can definitely highly recommend. The breakfast was amazing!

Cons: Nothing to mention - Everything was great!

Pros: The truffle dinner is awesome! They provide what is more than needed— homemade wine and honey!!! The view from the balcony of the room is awesome! Also the room is really comfy! We also joined their truffle hunting tour! So much fun! I highly recommend this place!

Pros: We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the stunning Motovun valley, The view was breathtaking. Each morning we would eat our sumptuous breakfast in complete awe. The room was spacious and comfortable. If you get a chance, take a morning out to do some truffle hunting with the owners son. It was so much fun. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to return someday.

Pros: The stay started with an unforgettable ride with the hotel chauffeur driving us up the narrow roads to the hotel. As being in the middle of a movie - corresponding perfect the film Motovun festival starting in few days. Extraorinary service - Coffee and breakfast brought to the room with balcony and stunning view over the tartufo forests far down under. We had two rooms, the second for our two daughters.

Pros: EXCELLENT, it saved our lives. Was a little tricky to get to the hotel during the evenings of the film festival. That was no problem though - I'd certainly stay again! Lovely!!!!

Pros: Our hostess was incredibly friendly and served us coffee and a great piece of strudel in the morning! The room was clean and spacious, the garden was beautiful with a great view. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend the stay here! Location: Walking up to the town is quite short and very doable for anyone fit to walk (and picturesque!). If not, take the shuttle bus at the bottom of the hill.

Pros: The ceiling fan in our room was fantastic as it was a really hot night. The mosquito blinds on the windows were also great. We liked the provision of "normal" containers of shampoo etc in the bathroom.... much more ecological. Access to cold water and use of a fridge also appreciated. The bar/cafe opposite served really good meals at a good price.

Cons: Would have been great to have some tissues in the bedroom. The building is right on the roadside so there was a bit of traffic noise.

Pros: Very very warm and friendly host, like at home!

Pros: Nevija was a fantastic host who looked after us and was very attentive to our needs.She made coffee in the morning and we even had some of her home made desserts. The guesthouse had the best views and we enjoyed hanging out in the garden every day.

Pros: What a nice house to stay in!! All is new and homely, nicely furnished with that extra touch. It was very clean and warm. There are 2 rooms with a shared bathroom and toilet. We were lucky and had the apartment to ourselves. The garden is also beautiful and the owner gave us some local cake with our coffee in the morning when we had only requested coffee and not breakfast. She's super nice. You can walk to Motovun in 20-30 min. You can see the hill from the house. There is no fridge in the room but downstairs in the hallway.

Pros: Host was wonderfull,well beyond expectations, place is clean tidy and located near just as friendly restaurant. Very good value for the money for reasonable people.

Pros: Nena was very nice and helpful, the rooms were large with good beds. The parking is handy in the area. 20 minutes walk with kids to the top of Motovun, was nice even under the rain. We also asked for a homemade breakfast (extra) very good and nicely served in the garden.

Pros: This is a perfect place. Very nice house, everything neat and clean, the host is a very kind person. Many little details make you really feel comfortable and a welcome guest. Spectacular view form the terrace behind the house. The breakfast is great and at a very reasonable price. If I ever come to Motovun again, this is the place where I'll stay.

Pros: Large very clean and comfortable room. Exceptionally well appointed with all possible toiletries. Shared bathroom facilities, but there were no other guests on our floor. Quiet. On site parking. Restaurant in hotel across the road. Breakfast could be self catered downstairs, but would recommend paying the extra for a breakfast provided. Fresh, home grown everything. Thank you Nevija. You were a wonderful hostess.

Pros: The location is in the center of town with very beautiful view. The staffs are very nice, very helpful. The room is very spacious, well equipped. We felt very comfortable like we’re at home. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to visit Motovun.

Pros: Especially a great location! The included breakfast on the terrace with a brilliant view over the valley is definitely a highlight. But the rooms are cute (don't expect a large room), with a good bed, shower and the good working AC was also nice when visiting in summer.

Cons: The rooms are not well isolated, so it is not the place if you want sleep in. Because when life starts in the hotel, you will hear this.

Pros: My wife was sick & Slaven went out of his way to find cough drops for my wife, even though the pharmacy was closed he found her some by asking neighbors. He also provided her with some orange juice to drink to help her with her cold. Slaven also took me down the hill in the hotel shuttle to let me get my wife some medicine at the pharmacy the next day when it opened up. They also helped do our laundry & only charged a small amount to do. Even though it was hot we were very comfortable in our air conditioned room. Thank you for a wonderful stay Slaven!

Pros: The hosts we're very nice. The room was in great condition. Motovun is a couple of minutes away by car as well as a supermarket and restaurants

Cons: The property isn't in motovun itself. Wasn't an issue for me, might be for others.

Pros: Lovely room, well set up and nice colour scheme. No tea/coffee facilities but the hosts were gorgeous and made me some tea as well as giving me biscuits in the morning.

Cons: A jug and a cup in the room would have been awesome.

Pros: Everything was perfect! The room was very clean and comfortable...we felt as being at home! The owners were really kinds and nice People, trying to help us all the time. Also they prepare us a very good coffe and delicious biscuits in the morning! After 2 weeks travelling in Croatia and Bosnia, this was the best place withouth no dubts!

Pros: Fantastic location at the very top of the village. Food in outside restaurant excellent with fantastic views. A lovely waitress (with interesting hair colour) sorry can't remember her name advised us on a bottle of local wine she knew her stuff! She was delightful. The hotel has a shuttle service from parking by the churchyard. My goodness what a ride well done those drivers.

Cons: Bathroom a little small and dated.

Pros: The hotel was nice, clean with lovely view. Swimming pool. This hotel has a potential of being in top level with some small corrections.

Cons: We thought the car park would be next to the hotel, but it was 500 m lower and they didn't tell that they have transport although I asked it from guide boy. The rise with goods were terrible. The "fineness" of swimming pool didn't work (waterwall). The staff was a little bit rude. The room was clean, but some general areas were forgotten or there were unnecessary stuff.

Pros: Staff was great! Went out of their way to help, including an arrival gift for my friend’s birthday. Great that you drive to the top and park and the hotel comes to get you!!! A real plus! Location on top of city (but not view), but not sure that option exists.

Cons: AC was not that great. Little to no internet. Hair dryer “old timey” and useless.

Pros: The location is amazing at the top hill of Motovun. As you can't enter with car, seems to be more exclusive access, which brings the charm to the experience.

Cons: Bathroom is not good, seems old and dirty, need to be renovated.

Cons: The air conditioning in the room was very poor. The view was the square at the front of the hotel, breakfast was average, no clear indication where the room was located, hair drier was weak, the window shutters didn’t close so we had to put pillows to stop the light from coming in the morning. For the money I was expecting much better value from this hotel.

Pros: Location, unique. Nice facility.

Cons: The staff member that picked us up from parking was impatient, as we had to gather and arrange our items on quick notice. He was also on staff that night, when our air conditioning was not working. The air conditioner only works in the room when the windows are properly, tightly latched. It was unseasonably hot when we stayed. My daughter opened, then closed one window, to see the view. When we returned from dinner, it was very hot in the room, so I opened both windows, and tried to get the thermostat to start the AC. Nothing responded. When I explained this to the front desk, he claimed the AC was fine and it was my fault for not latching the windows. He made clear his unfriendly attitude. Who would know this about the windows?! He is in the wrong job. I can offer many examples of people in his position that are eager to help the client, with a smile. He did not smile once, even though I did, plenty, in trying to communicate.

Pros: To wake up in a very old and nice small village. Have a coffee with a stunning view in absolute silence.

Pros: We stayed at the studio apartment, entering directly from the street. It was perfect!! From the first moment we felt like home. We will return for sure! Nice decoration and furniture. Good functioning air condition. Good kitchen. Washing machine in the apartment. Large table. Large TV. Nearby there is a small grocery store.

Cons: No place to dry the clothes after washing them. Only 3 pots which can be used on the electric stove. Car park is a little far away, about 200m downhill. Not easy to carry luggage from the car to the apartment.

Pros: As guests, we are not demanding and during the day we were out, so we just want clean shower and comfort for the night - got it! And simple breakfast in the morning was great for us. Location is great, free parking (few minutes away, staff offers help with luggage), so is the view from our top floor apartment.

Cons: Small fix-ups are needed in the apartment, like broken wall mirror in the bathroom, shade on the small additional window.

Pros: I have really enjoyed my days in Motovun. The people in town are very friendly and helpful. Each single inhabitant tries to tell you about history, special events, the food and wines. People, who are interested in history architecture will be surprised, how many extraordinary places they will find. The Houses of Motovun provide a mixture of all this. Pros: Good location close to city center and shop. Very nice workers that tried to help you with all your problems and questions.

Cons: Dark studio apartment.

Cons: Lack of hot water in the bathroom in the last 2 days.

Pros: The location was ok.

Cons: One night it was raining, and the water was coming through the roof into the apartment. The water also almost damaged the tv, which we had to move oursleves since the owner didn't really care about everything that was happening in the apartment. He also promised to fix the TV remote that was not working, but he still didn't show up.

Pros: Location was great, free parking a plus. Welcome drink appreciated. Great size rooms, washing facility in the studio, beautiful views from upstairs bedrooms. Motuvun picturesque town but not much action for young people.

Cons: Had to suffer first night without airconditioning - only upon pushing something was not right did they figure out a/c units in 2 adjacent rooms had to both be one to work. Bizarre. We also had a downstairs studio which had a damp, musty feel.
