Nice clean room, good breakfast, nice pool.
Location not good for beach.
We were given a quiet room on the 6th non smoking floor and we had a panoramic view south across Muscat. The hotel has an outdoor pool which is quite adequate and is close to the old parts of Muscat with the souks and palace
The outdoor sunloungers are of the cheap plastic type
It is a decent family Hotel for short stays...
The courtesy of Omani staffs in the Hotel
The hotel is very old, needs a complete revamp. The size of the room is very small for the amount charged. The furniture in the room are very old. There is no feel good factor when staying in the hotel
This is a good and clean hotel with excellent housekeeping services. The staff were helpful and there is also adequate parking within the hotel complex.
The hotel should invest a bit in promoting the different facilities of the hotel i.e. during check-in, the staff should speak about the Japanese restaurant, pool timings, pastry shop etc.
The Japanese Restaurant on the top floor is excellent. Cheap internet access. Decent selection at breakfast. It is also centrally located for exploring old Muscat and beyond.
On our first night the noise from the pub "Nuts and Bolts" was horrendous with the Music booming right through the building. We were on the 4th floor and i would hate to think what it would have been like on a lower floor. This was a Thursday night (it went on until 3am) and thankfully we did not hear it again for the rest of our stay.
Nice swimming pool and the gym was good
We had a room were it faced the Indian church and they had festival going on the entire time.(very noicy and loud) We had one towel in the room and had to call for more , twice. Since the festival was going on the parking lot was full and there was no parking. The Hotel chrges of tourist fee and service charge is so expensive(might wanna mentioned the % in the hotel description)
Cleanliness & services are really good.
For business travellers, we need wireless internet services, in the room or in lobby or even in the restaurant. Other than business centre there is no wire less internet service. Dial up services in the room is very poor, you dail up today and you may get the connection tomorrow ( Insha Allah )
Staff were lovely and the food in the coffee shop was very good
The hotel is very dated and badly decorated. It is extremely expensive for what it is. It was at best, a 3 star hotel, not 4 star as advertised. For that price, I should have spent a little more and booked a Hyatt or Sheraton.
