It was nice being able to step outside and be right on the beach. The location is also much further south from the main boardwalk area which was nice for people who want a little bit quieter stay without all the traffic. The room also had a full sized fridge and freezer (standard room, wasn't a suite). We didn't use the pool but it looked super clean and well maintained.
Front desk employees weren't the most welcoming or friendly. The parking garage only has one elevator so wait times are very long. The stairwell in the parking garage was disgusting. The elevators in the main lobby look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. The rooms also could use a good scrubbing (dirty walls, floors, etc.) the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling badly, the drain was backed up, our patio light was broke. The balcony floor was disgusting and covered in melted bubble gum and some other unknown substance that I accidentally stepped on barefoot. The bed sheets (although clean) had stains all over them and both the flat sheet and top sheet were extremely thin and rather uncomfortable. We did not eat in the cafe or go to the bar area at night. Overall, this is an okay stay. I don't think it was worth what we paid, but I know it certainly could have been worse.
Basically the only good thing about it was that it was on the beach and close to Broadway at the beach.
The first room we were in was dirty and had a terrible smell. The microwave nor the mini fridge worked and there were cigarrete butts outside the window. The first night we requested extra towels and they never came. We spoke to the manager about the poor condition of the room and they upgraded us to a nicer, cleaner room. Over the course of our stay, we requested towels 9 times and never received them. We only got them because we had to go to the front desk and ask for them. It was very very poor customer service and the hotel in general felt dirty.
I booked a date and when I went to purchase the room it automatically changed the date. After calling calling the associate and trying to get the problem rectified, He spoke to the hotel and they were sold out of rooms . That's why it automatically changed my dates . I was finally able to get a refund processed because of the mistake . I am currently still waiting for the credit to come back to my account. I've used kayak many times in the past and have always been satisfied with the service . This is the first time this kind of inconvenience has happened to me
I understand that there was a hurricane the week before, but they still booked us on a floor with damage. The pool was a disaster from the storm, but it also had green moldy walls and tile, and that takes a while to build, not just a week. They have a parking garage for guests, but you have to come down to the main lobby then cross the area and go up in another elevator to get to the room. There was no phone system when we were there, when we inquired about it, the clerk said it was the phone company's fault. How come all the other places have their phone back up, and not this place>?? The clerk took a break from the desk and put up a sign back in 5 minutes. She stepped out to smoke. One person on the desk?? Really?? Come on. We refused to stay there and left for another hotel.

Dirty rooms. Cockroach crawled on me. Knats flying around. Stains everywhere. Weird residue all over the floor. Smelled disgusting. Mold on the walls. Awful stay. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Nothing really to like about it. Maybe the view was ok but the resort inside had a lot to desire
Bathrooms and rooms were pretty filthy.
I liked the location and the fact that there was a parking deck. The staff was friendly and anything I needed was available immediately. I liked that when the menu in the dining room said fresh fruit, it was actually just cut up fruit and not frozen or in syrup!
The hand towel and toilet paper holders were loose. The last night there housekeeping didn't make it to clean our room but the front desk made sure we had towels in our room within minutes. Some of the outlets didn't work and there was only 1 trash can in the room. The dining room was a little slow but the food was fresh.
Great stay just a few minor issues.
We liked being able to go down to the beach without having to move the car, good food, comfortable bed's, nice staff, overall great stay. Paid $127.71 a night for side ocean view, had a full size refrigerator, nice size TV. We had dinner in the restaurant which could use updating, but great hamburgers and fries. Then we went back to room and spent the evening sitting on the balcony drinking and listening to the DJ. When we were ready to go to bed went inside, shut the sliding glass door and couldn't hear anything but the air conditioner.
Wasn't crazy about the water saver shower. The water pressure made it hard to get the shampoo out of my hair. The fancy faucet in the sink was hard to set the hot or cold and when you pulled up the handle the pressure was very forceful. They could have saved money on a regular faucet that is easier to control. The bed frame that the mattress sat on should have been built so that you wouldn't stump your toes. We had to put our beach towels around the edges so we wouldn't keep stumping our toes.
