Pros: Great place. Great hosts. Great breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: While it was a super short visit before heading to the airport it was a great one! We stopped by early to drop bags off before check in time and they were super accommodating. When we got back we ended up chatting with the owners for a good while enjoying the comfortable lounge area. The location is fabulous, very close to the center of the little village. We walked around enjoying the windy roads and ended up at the beach and a small pub. The bed and shower were perfect (always my way of deciding a good night). Very cozy bed and great pressure in the shower! Overall if ever in the area again I would for sure stop by and hopefully get the chance to try out the breakfast next time!
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Andy & Aneka were the perfect hosts, very keen to ensure our stay was comfortable and helpful with local knowledge. Room and communal areas were spotless. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful with a large range of hot and cold options. Location is perfect, just 100m from main street yet quiet even though it was Hogmanay.
Cons: I'm struggling to find anything that spoiled our stay but I have to write something.... Although immaculately clean, functional and newly fitted, the shower room was smaller than we would have liked. The shower control dial was quite stiff, people with poor grip may have difficulty.

Pros: It was rather like a minor stately home set in sumptuous grounds. We were warmly welcomed and settled in comfortably. It was a shame that the hotel’s own restaurant was not available for dinner but there was a delightful bistro next door. The room was fabulous, no detail overlooked and a very comfortable bed. Also nice to have a ‘turn down’ service in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were faultless and went the extra mile, extremely friendly. Overall I would say it is rather expensive, however £440 for 2 nights.

Pros: The rather austere exterior is in complete contrast to the interior. Beautiful rooms spotlessly clean and a feeling of lots of space. Rooms are big and beautifully decorated with complementary furniture and fittings. Comfortable bed and massive bathroom with views over the gardens. Watching red squirrels running around and birds feeding while having breakfast - excellent. The house is just off the busy A96 and traffic passes at speed. There is little road noise due to the trees. The owners recommended some restaurants which were very good. Pros: Room was lovely. Bathroom had a bath and shower (which I hoped rather than just shower) and was very spacious. I had a feeling I had been automatically upgraded because the room was much nicer than I expected. Staff all friendly and very helpful from cheerful check in, restaurant and breakfast staff to check out. Loved the character and decor in the hotel, especially the Chaplin Restaurant, where lunch was lovely, well presented and excellent value. Whole hotel very clean and extra measures in place in a noticable but discrete and professional way, given the current climate at the time of my stay
Cons: It was an excellent stay for a full day event held at the hotel. Delighted I treated myself to an overnight stay the night before - so nothing I didn't like
5.0 Okay
Cons: One room was fine one was poor due to old bed, weak shower and poor socket placement. Kitchen was being refurbished with no prior warning so very limited food and drink service. No real communication from bar staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My Husband and I stay here quite often, as it is close to our Daughter's school. On this visit I was on a work trip. The trains to Aberdeen on a Sunday evening are limited. I stayed here, after travelling from Inverness Airport and caught the early morning train to Aberdeen from Nairn Railway Station. the Hotel organised a 0530 breakfast for me and a taxi to the Station. Another great stay at this Hotel with its exceptionally helpful staff members.
