From the start with communication through emails, recommending us places to go and to eat, and organising balloons for my boyfriend's birthday FREE OF CHARGE! On arrival she upgraded our room, and iron my boyfriend's shirts. When we came back they were waiting for us hanging on the door, ironed! Interior and exterior is another story! Probably the best place where we ever stayed! Full of character, love, soul, warm atmosphere and history! Books in the upstairs sitting room were to die for!! Breakfast was absolutely amazing and again Claire made everything so perfect that even made us feel sad for leaving! We had the best time ever and my boyfriend definitely enjoyed every bit of it, and it's all thanks to you Claire and your wonderful place. It's one of the places that you visit on the way, but place itself and the most amazing host made us think when we could escape the work and run down for another night. Thank you for making such a special moment so memorable! We will forever be grateful!

Cons: The bedroom and bathroom were a little dated but comfortable. My sister's bathroom was tiny. The filter on the hairdryer was clogged, I could smell burning so cleaned it out.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were stylishly decorated, so so clean and full of little details. Tea and coffee in the room. The whole place is elegant and thoughtfully designed Margaret is an amazing hostess, breakfast was perfect. Beautifully presented and delicious

7.9 Good
Pros: I thought the breakfast was lovely. Room very clean and comfortable with everything needed, toiletries, towels etc. The whole package was great value for money. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing, it was exactly what I was looking for.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location; friendly staff; great breakfast; comfortable bed.
Cons: Car alarm; no parking.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is excellent if you like a town environment. Several nice eating places nearby as well as the inevitable Pubs. :-) Once the new bypass is completed in late 2019, I would say New Ross will transformed, as the heavy traffic will be kept out of the town, and the old town will be a delight Everyone I met and interacted with in the guesthouse were charming and helpful during my short stay. Breakfast was good and potentially a gutbuster of choice available, but I limited myself to tea and a small cooked breakfast which set me up for the day nicely.
Cons: I found it rather noisy early in the morning from both the Council maintenance teams and nearby delivery traffic. The window had to be kept closed to keep the noise down, which then meant the windows were completely steamed up in the morning and the room felt fugged up. A small vent would help here. Bed and the room were a wee bit cramped for a big bloke! I did see there is a larger single room which maybe worth asking for?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic budget B&B. Excellent value for money in a downtown location. Room was clean and well presented. Lovely common room with free teas and coffees. GREAT choice for breakfast in the cafe downstairs. Food was very nicely presented!!! Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Cons: 4ft bed in the room a bit small for a couple, but having said that we did book an economy room. Hey ho...

Lovely cooked breakfast and good range of choice,PERFECTLY cooked poached eggs!!Was made to feel like a very welcome guest and that nothing would be too much trouble to help make our stay enjoyable.

7.9 Good
Pros: Patrick and Siobhan were very welcoming and warm hosts. Loved the location with cottages with thatched around us and hanging baskets with beautiful flowers, petunias in every colour, lobelias. Our room had a super view overlooking the Atlantic
Cons: If you are an in international traveller having visited other places over an extended business-cum-vacation, lugging your bag up the flight of stairs can be a bit cumbersome. But that couldn't be helped. It was us who had a heavy suitcase.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pat, the owner is a genuine friendly and helpful person. The staff and him run nice clean establishment, and although we had to cut our break short due to unforeseen circumstances, our time spent there was excellent. Would highly recommend and hope to be back in the future.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent

4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good didnt think should hav 2 pay should b in with room give enough money allready for room
Cons: Car park park should b in aswell
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice friendly staff.
Cons: Room fairly dusty, bathroom tiles needed a good scrub , generally just ok, have paid less for much nicer. 'Boutique' in hotel title is a bit ambitious ! View from room 303 was not great.
7.1 Good
Pros: In a good area
Cons: No parking on site and the elevator was broken when we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower and bed were fabulous. Also our room cards were ready for us when we checked into the hotel look
Cons: The elevator was out of order so going up 3 flights of stairs with luggage wasn't ideal.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: There was no private parking for our classic car. Breakfast was extra which made the accommodation expensive.
5.4 Okay
Pros: There were two members of staff, Charlotte & Anna who were extra helpful. Tried their best to accommodate our needs. And their breakfast was fantastic. Thank you kindly to them for their help, and care throughout our stay.
Cons: The lift was broke upon arrival which made travelling with my 80 year old grandmother extra difficult. The 2nd floor is the lowest floor of rooms which meant 3 flights of stairs. We were told it would be fixed the following day but still broke on the 3rd day when we left. There is generally one member of staff working, who looks after the cafe, the reception, the bar, and the restaurant at the same time. Meaning If you need attendance you have to go searching for someone. The breakfast was excellent but the dinner in the restaurant was poor. I ordered medium rare steak which was burned. It looked and tasted like it was made on a bbq, and considering it took 40 minutes after our starter to be served was very disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean......quiet
Cons: No parking provided Got door call from staff at 9am (wrong room)....got housekeeping call at 10.20 when departure time is 11.30
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent. A big shout out to justin who went above and beyond. However all the staff were friendly.
Cons: The only criticism I can give is that out of the 4 days I stayed there, the lift was out of order for 3 of them. The view from my room was like looking at something from a war zone. I understand this is out of your control so maybe a bit harsh. Also you could invest in some fans for guests. My room was extremely warm which made it difficult to sleep.

Pros: Nice friendly atmosphere about the place
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is beautiful, reception / check in easy and the room was fine, but a bit small and cold at first, warmed up in the evening. Bar is nice and comfortable
Cons: I was staying for one night and looked forward to dining in the restaurant. To be honest it was hit and miss, I was handed a al a carte menu even though there was a Table de H'ote also available, I had to ask for it. The Al a Carte is not good value, most mains are €30 with starters at €10 plus. We were served by different staff, who weren't very attentive or well trained. We had to ask for the veg twice. Breakfast was worse - everything is served to you, which is fine but you don't know what's available e.g fruit. The full Irish is very greasy and lacked flavor. I asked for butter for toast, it never came. It's all very sloppy for a nice hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms. Excellent food. Excellent golf facilities.
Cons: We only booked in for one night. Should have been 3.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly helpful staff. The food the atmosphere of the hotel the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of both the rooms and the building. The grounds are stunning.
Cons: I didn't have an issue paying 2 euro for a swimming hat, but in keeping with the higher end image the hotel portrays it probably would look less money grabbing and parsimonious if that cost were absorbed elsewhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bar and dining area was incredible! Cody was extra special; we enjoyed his humor and friendliness. Room was very spacious and decorated to matched the time period.
Cons: The only area I feel could be improved on, would be the wall outlets. In 2019 we are all about "charging" our apparatuses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff, fabulous food in the restaurant and great service. The room was lovely with a gorgeous big bathroom. A beautiful building, luxurious hotel. Would highly recommend!
Cons: Nothing, we should have stayed for longer!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous rural location. Very clean. Very organised. Quiet. Easy access.
Cons: Bedroom door as glass panelled leading onto main hall was off putting. Thankfully it has a blind over it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family run and breakfast was plentiful. We were asked our likes and dislikes and received a lovely breakfast
Cons: The weather but hey ho this is Ireland that’s never guaranteed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anne, the lady of the house was a very pleasant host. She was interested in her guests and I was made to feel very welcome.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Rude and quite ignorant host! Not recommending the place for its hospitality to anyone! We, a couple in their 40ies, who were staying at the B&B for one night, do wonder who the host was that the previous reviewers were talking about? The host kept communication as minimal as possible, never introduced herself or welcomed us with proper manners. At arrival on the Saturday she opened the door cautiously and just said „what‘s your names“ to us. Then she gave us the keys and took our breakfast order. She had asked us to come for breakfast at 8am on the Sunday morning and only mentioned that she had to leave for church early. She never made clear that we also had to leave earlier. Check out was listed on booking.com at 11am, but the host knocked on our room door around 9:30am and told us very brief „you have to leave now“ and walked away without saying a proper goodbye. One of us was just about to have a shower and had to get back dressed and leave without having a shower. It was one of the most bizarre hosts we encountered and we are still very disappointed about the disrespect we had to experience from her. The only odd thing was that she had prepared a vegetarian breakfast and had gluten-free bread as we actually had requested. Breakfast was very basic and the coffee is also not recommended. We felt very unwelcome and it was as if guests do not suit this host at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome from very friendly host. Only stopped one night but could not have been more pleased, the breakfast was amazing and set us up for our onward journey. Top marks.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly ,lovely bar food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, on beautiful grounds, the food was good a lot of choice, the staff were friendly.
Cons: The only criticism we had was with the carvery on the Sunday, which being a restaurant is open to the public, there were long queues, and then people milling around trying to find a table, the food however was delicious. In our opinion though this could be reserved for residents only for the first hour.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location perfect once you have a car. Lovely place for a family get together.
Cons: Bathroom, while clean, was ok. Would have preferred a walk in shower rather than one in bath with a shower curtain and green stuff coming out of shower head and tap.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good
Cons: The product was shabby, carpets woodwork all need upgrading, the handle came off the door to the bathroom.i asked two members of staff could I see the restaurant menu one informed me he'didnt' work there...so no menu.the other staff member when asked sent me to the restaurant (it was closed)so we ate else where for our two night stay .poor service.

Pros: The leisure centre was perfect for my son
Cons: A bit erratic at dinner time. In my opinion the staff were too young there didn’t seem to be no one in charge.
7.9 Good
Pros: Old school barman, great service
Cons: The common areas need a little tlc
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A great breakfast with plenty of choice. My only personal extra would have been some pastries as I have a sweet tooth. To be fair there were plenty of croissants if I wanted them. The evening food in the restaurant is always good. Apart from the safe all the usual requirements for a comfortable stay were there. The bed was very comfortable. The room was lovely and quiet so we were able to leave our window open all night for air. It was nice to be a little bit away from the main road so no traffic sounds were present even outside in the garden. The hotel has a relaxed, comfortable air about it.
Cons: I feel some public areas like the stairways are in need of a freshen up. There is no safe in the room which is fine if you don't have valuables but if I was travelling with passports etc I would not necessarily choose this as a first option stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, beds were comfy and clean. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were lovely. I loved the location and the beautiful view
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like
7.3 Good
Pros: Room was big, spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Cons: Shower over bath was awkward to use. Also grout between wall tiles in shower area was slightly blackened.
