superb accommodation, superb views, great location
Excelent Views, Good food and Service
Excellant location, great views, large room.
It is very modern and spacious. The view from most room is phenomenal. Excellent value for money. Nothing, it is perfect.
Exellent value for money. Staff very friendly. Superb location with seaview.
Good-sized comfortable well-equipped room, wonderful view, nice helpful staff. Good breakfast. Teamaking facilities with plenty of tea, coffee etc and biscuits. None, although one of the the ceiling lights wasn't working and it would have been better if the windows had been cleaned.
Relaxing ambience, friendly and efficient staff, comfortable accomodation, scrupulously clean, lovely dining room with an excellent menu beautifully cooked and served. Jaw dropping views from the Dining Room and all the bedrooms. NOTHING
The facilities and room overlooking the golf course and sea is special. The location and the quality of the room
fantastic relaxing place... wonderful staff...
Excellent location for a weekend break - and very good value for money. New modern room with luxurious spa facilities included.
Excellent Cliff top location, views and cliff walks
The friendly staff. The beautiful view.
Breakfast. View. Unfortunately it was raining and a constant 'drip, drip, drip' kept me awake until I opened the window and placed a towel under the drip at 2 O'clock in the morning.
location, cleanliness of rooms and facilities. Nice food. Problem with water took a while to fix.
Location was excellant, staff were friendly, food in the evening was excellant, water pressure for bath/shower was really good, bed was very comfortable Needed more staff in the bars on the Wednesday night - it was so busy that service was slow. Breakfast food suffered from being put out in a buffet: fried eggs were hard and bacon was a bit chewy. Toast was not cooked enough.
Excellent facilities, fantastic staff, outstanding location - one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in for a long time!
The location is spectacular and the spa was really relaxing. I have stayed there before and by returning its obvious that I like it.
Location, convenience to where we wanted to be, friendly and helpful staff. Spectacular view from the restaurant. Bed was a bit small and some extra bedding would have been nice. My wife found the restaurant too cold - but we were there on a Sunday night, late November with snow on the ground and only 1 other couple in there.
Good food, local ales, efficient and friendly family service. Nice quiet location next to a small river. Thin bedroom walls.
Lovely family hotel and friendly staff. Room was comfortable and value for money. Food and service good.
Cleanliness, good food, friendly faces, excellent value Difficult to find based on the information on Active website. No Vodaphone signal, couldn't log on, there again, the office couldn't get hold of me either !!
Welcome by owners. Quality of food. Cleanliness.
The owners and staff are very friendly and the service is very good. Good breakfast and evening meals. All round good value. Stunning counryside.
bed, food & drink in one place
They accepted dogs and there was a good walk close by. The staff were very nice and the food very good. Excellent value for money really.
Family owned and run; personal, friendly and informal atmosphere. Great welcome. Good dining room and good homely food. Spacious room. Quiet rooms, even though the hotel is on a relatively busy road. Stunning countryside. Room, although clean, was rather dull and poorly lit. Probably ready for a makeover. Also couldn't find a spare socket to recharge phone. Shower a bit tricky to operate.
Warm welcome, wonderful breakfast, private parking
Great value for a hotel with basic, clean rooms internet was down
Excellent decor, well appointed room, superb shower, overall position of hotel ideal We would have liked more bread or pastry items available at breakfast - everything else excellent
We did not like having to go to the next door guesthouse which was only 2*(and it was evident) for breakfast. This was strange. Would recommend with this reservation.
Good parking - close to town centre. Have reccomended to family
Clean and comfortable. Wonderful bathroom. Street noise from main road; limited parking with narrow access; small room.
Quality Fittings- handy for town- Handy for anything in the Pembrkeshire / Ceridigion area- Couldnt fault any of it N/A
Located in the middle of town. Room small but adequate. The breakfast was fine. We had an attic room and had a bit of trouble getting our luggage up there, no help was offered.
Excellent service I left my flash pen in my room and the staff had contacted me before I even got chance to ring to see if it was there and post back to me free of charge
very clean warm & comfortable rooms, nice location very convenient for visiting the coast. Breakfast very good but the cold conservatory rather spoiled it.
Everyone was really friendly and helpful, and our room was beautifully decorated. My only comment would be that the toilet seat didn't really fit - not a huge problem, but caution needed !!!!
warm welcome, comfortable well presented rooms
It is very handy to find when you come off the ferry tired, and your car is very safe. It has tea making in your room.
Clean, good food and friendly.
Close to Harbour and excellent restaurant
The Ferryboat were unaware that I was arriving and the restaurant was closed due to illness.
Good location and parking area.Excellent restaurant and food. Waitress very pleasant and helpful. Good Room Only the proprietors were not to be seen and the Customer relations was done thru the waitress
The rooms were well-appointed with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. The price and online details led us to expect a fully-serviced hotel. In fact it was a small B&B. The bar and restaurant were not open (apparently between end September and March).
Freindly proprietor, excellent food, very handy for the ferry.
Every aspect of our stay was 1st class. I have nothing negative to say.
The close proximity to the ferry being accused by email of burning the duvet and being charged without consultation for said duvet! phoned hotel and proved categorically that it was not my doing. Subsequently received an apology and an offer or 10% discount (£4.80) on my next stay which is unlikely.
Food was superb even sent compliments the chef!! Staff very friendly. Everything very clean throughout. Recently toured Wales and this was by far the best place we stayed at, Nothing to complain about at all.
the ambiance of the period house and its surrounding environment; gardens etc. It was the perfect stop over after along drive from St. Ives Cornwall before sailing back to Ireland
The staff were great nothing was too much trouble, great food and plenty of it. The surroudings were excellence.
Most delicious meals and the lounge/bar area was very cosy There was a musty smell in the hallway outside our room, as though they had had recent water damage?
The hotel building is an old castle and sure it looks stunning from outside. Very small, cold and dark rooms. Bed was very unconfortable.
Good restaurant choices, well presented and enjoyable Top floor rooms are very difficult to access for people with mobility problems or even heavy luggage - steep steps, insufficient hand rails, doors opening directly onto stairs.
The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the hotel last minute and were very plesently suprised when we arrived - a really lovely country manor. We booked a family room (2 aduits and 2 children under 6) and the room was huge. The hoetel is quite old and while our room was very clean the hotel could do with some upgrading of it's facilities. but this is a small thing relative to the overall charm of the place.
the location was very nice, nice room and overall quiet and pleasant. this is a very small and picky complaint, but the rooms were noisy with loose floorboards and wobbly cupboards.
Excellent food, reasonable rates, superb setting and friendly staff
The setting of the hotel is beautiful. The hotel itself is elegant and airy, the staff very friendly. The food was excellent and the hotel is ideally placed for several different walks.
The friendliness of the staff and their help in suggesting places to visit; the cuisine at dinner; the grounds and riverside location. Allowing a dog (not a guide dog) into the dining room during meals. I haven't stayed in a hotel for some years and perhaps this is now standard practice. The dog was quiet and unobtrusive, but as I am not an 'animal person' I was surprised. I didn't complain, and this is not a complaint now.
Idyllic situation, pleasant staff uncomfortable bed
Very friendly staff, good self-catering facilities and good restaurant and bar. The toilet didn't flush properly and the heating did not work very well.
Friendly staff. Good food. Very nice room. Nice location. None
Great location - very friendly staff - good food! Very comfortable room!
Beautifully converted farm buildings providing comfortable self catering accommodation with hotel facilities available. No complaints!
size of room Limited menu
Location, accommodation generally, cozy bar, friendly staff Noisy fridge(!), tempramental toilet flush
Heating not on in Bedroom
Staff attitude, Food was very good, Surroundings
Service was excellent
The staff were very helpful . The view from the hotel was lovely as you were right on the bay.
Location, friendly helpful staff, comfy bed
The location is perfect for a quiet break away from the everyday rush of a normal working day. There is a wonderful beach very close to the hotel, not more than 5 minnutes walk, which is very safe for children, alos none of the areas is overcrowded. Wonderful secluded beaches also very close to hand.
It is a quiet country hotel where we were made very welcome. The proprietor is very helpful. Nothing.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and owner. Position is very peaceful.
Friendly personnel; excellent views from room; very tastefully decorated guest areas; good food with generous helpings. Convenient for Pembrokeshire coast walks.
Food, views and staff
The view is amazing, the staff are helpful and the room was large and well furnished.
the peace and quiet and the sound of the bird calls from the estuary and the little boats bobbing about
We found the position of the Hotel very good for beachs, towns and history
the location was stunning, room with seaview, good size room not cramped, nice bedding and towels.
Freindly staff. Excellent location.
The excellent location and view combined with the pleasant surroundings and good food I was happy with everything
The peace and tranquility of the location, friendliness of the staff and an excellent menu Menu prices for some dishes were a bit pricey and there was limited car parking spaces.( Although the car parking position was made aware to me before I booked.)
Graet view close to beach, food good Room directly above bar area so a bit noisty until last orders
The view directly overlooking the sea. The oversized portions of food
Good location for day trips south. Nice view of the beach from room and restaurant. Matress not good could feel all the springs.
Modern rooms. Quiet. Lovely location with good views of the beach. Balcony. Good selection of beverages. Nice breakfast Shower was poor and not as clean as could be. Bed was uncomfortably firm so didn't sleep very well. Difficult to find as no signs to location.
The location, the staff, the modern decor of the room and bathroom. Huge breakfast! The staff are the gems of the operation - nothing was too much trouble. Steep stairs access to first floor - unavoidable. Dinner disappointing but edible.
We were made very welcomeand taken to our room even though staff were very busy.ambience food and staff exellent/
