10.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like! Beautifully presented, charming rooms which had a sense of luxury and indulgence. Very comfortable, with exceptional breakfast supplies. The location was excellent, waking distance to everywhere in the town. Coffee and cake at the cafe was lovely and a real treat-amazing cakes, warm and relaxed atmosphere and very generous. Everyone we dealt with was so lovely.
Cons: There was nothing about this place that I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great space, good position, very clean. Fantastic cake!
Cons: The internet didn't work. So although the facility for Netflicks, ABC iView etc for TV was there, it didn't work at all. Also, I couldn't use the computer except for my iPhone data

Cons: Great space - liked it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was charming accommodation, tastefully presented, very comfortable, warm (it was winter here) and central to shops, restaurants and attractions. Julia, our hostess, was welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed being able to pop next door to the Fig Cafe for coffee and treats. Castlemaine has some beautiful historical buildings and the Fig Cafe is close to the railway station for exploring further afield to Maldon, Bendigo, Daylesford etc. We highly recommend this lovely accommodation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness is a big thing for me and the accommodation was certainly clean, some supposed 5 star accommodation should be as clean. From the cosy atmosphere, to the welcoming hot coffee and cake on a very cold dreary day not to mention the breakfast supplied. I would love to stay there again when I return next year.
Cons: I didn't like the fact I only had one night to spend there. I would have liked at least another night at least.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast - healthy choices

Pros: The breakfast was special. Genuine Japanese cuisine. The conversations we had with staff were wonderful. And lastly, the property is designed in such a way that you may well be in Japan.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Good location
Cons: Very very disappointing. Expensive, no reception, harassed about our arrival time, got there at 3pm, no one to meet us, no staff in the whole place until next morning. And breakfast. One loaf of bread between 6 guests, unhygienic spreads, when the loaf ran out. Not replaced.

6.8 Good
Pros: Country casual feel. Relaxed lounge area and real log fire on arrival was welcoming and cozy. Reception staff friendly and helpful. King bed comfortable and linen good quality. Self serve breakfast easy. Spacious clean room and en-suite. Walking distance to township etc
Cons: After our first night stay we were looking forward to the fire to enjoy over breakfast but it had bot been relit since the evening before. When we returned from our day out that afternoon we expected to arrive to a warm lounge and fire but again nothing. No heating and it was a wintery cold day and night. Very disappointing . We would have started the fire ourselves happily as there was a fire lighter on the mantel and a few logs on the hearth but no kindling wood to get underway sadly. A simple thing but diminished the experience and ambience considerably.

Hepburn at Hepburn - Hepburn Springs - Building
8
9.0 Excellent (535 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Hepburn at Hepburn is an adults retreat that sets a precedent in five star accommodation with modern technology, distinctive architecture and sophisticated design that is captured in the 14 opulent villas. Finished in earth shades and complemented by elegant bursts of colour beaming from the luxurious fabrics, allow your senses to come alive as you relax the mind, body and soul in a space where city style meets country simplicity.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Provides what it says to a certain extent, its a cabin.
Cons: No Breakfast as it was self contained which was fine, no real natural light in number 14, very dark, for what you pay and what you get I would not recommend it. The view is not mind blowing, more of the back of a hill with a few trees on it. Despite all the heating provided, it was either too cold or too hot. I actually have no complaints as check in and out was easy, parking was easy, accomodation had everything you would need but with poor natural lighting, noisy gas fire, a view of a few trees on an embankment etc I would spend my money on a more complete experience, and with so many places in Hepburn id look elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cannot fault the property or the service. Had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed the facilities and the area.
7.0 Good
Pros: We liked the size of the room and the facilities that were available to us in the room. The heater was amazing and the couch was extremely comfy to sit on.
Cons: Would have like to have the ability to watch TV from the bedroom. Bathroom was large however we were not big fans of the glass wall around the bathroom. Switching the light on in the middle of the night is a distraction. The curtains didnt make much of a difference as there is no blockout.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good

10.0 Excellent

Cons: That I could not stay longer
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We very much enjoyed the cosy accommodation in a beautiful countryside location; fresh eggs and delicious homemade hot cross buns (we stayed at Easter) were included in the provided breakfast
Cons: It would be nice to have an egg boiler included in the kitchenette as there is no hot plate, just an electric frypan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This may sound silly but I loved the little heater in bathroom area. We had a cold night and it made my shower very enjoyable. Breakfast items were excellent. We were well catered for and enjoyed the quietness.
Cons: I really cannot fault anything
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing to like was the seclusion.
Cons: Firstly, the bed wasn't comfortable and the pillows were too flat. Not enough crockery and very cheap cutlery. And to top it off no hot water for a shower the morning we were leaving. They did offer me a shower in their own home next door, but I had already dressed and was ready to leave. The choice of breakfast cereal was very poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We are a couple going to a 2.00pm wedding in Bendigo with reception at nearby Sutton Grange Winery so we chose this property for its proximity. We had just arrived in Melbourne off the Spirit of Tasmania in the morning. We understood check in was 4.00pm but called the owner on our way and, in addition to giving us detailed instructions for getting to the property, he graciously finished setting up the unit and let us change for the wedding on our way through. We returned for a rest before the reception and he called to let us know he would leave the main house light on so we could find our way home after the reception since there are no street lights. The cottage is very well presented, even a pen to use, and generous breakfast ingredients were supplied for us. If you are staying longer, there is a kitchenette with microwave and saucepans etc for making your own meals.
Cons: No key was supplied to lock up but the owner assured us it was not necessary in the country and they were right next door so would hear if anyone came.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the property was perfect!
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but we did struggle to get the tv and the electric blankets to work but they weren’t essential. We also didn’t realise the tv in the main room would be abit older so only normal tv but we didn’t mind that much as you had provided plenty of movies to watch on the DVD player!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed and pillows are really comfortable. Little heart shaped chocolates are cute
Cons: The Bose sound bar doesn't work, had wrong cable for connecting to the TV. DVD had no power cable, however was fixed after contacting staff.

Pros: BeandBe is excellent. Really well designed, everything you could ask for and Nicola (the host) was so accommodating
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable breakfast. We asked for vegan breakfast and Nicola really went the extra mile with heaps of stuff! Really thoughtful and made out stay. Also photos don’t do the place justice - a truely beautiful space
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicola our host was very helpful to accommodate the babies and communication was excellent. The cottage was styled extremely well and had everything we needed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: As Nicole was away we had Ange as our host. She was very friendly and helpful and made us feel incredibly welcome, inviting us to explore the whole property and had the air con on prior to our arrival. She had her dog and the house dog which was a bonus as we had our puppy with us and they all got along. The house and gardens were beautiful, the views from upstairs were breathtaking, especially early mornings and evenings and the food provided was awesome! The kitchen was very well equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable with top quality linen. For a small house there seemed to be no shortage of areas in which to relax, watch tv, or read a book. It was within walking distance to the town center.
Cons: Our two day stay just happened to be the hottest days of the year! Downstairs was lovely and cool, upstairs and the bathroom were not as easy to keep cool. Luckily the bed was so comfortable we slept well, even in the heat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicola was very friendly, the place was beautiful and quiet, and we had a great time. Nicola was relaxed about our checkout and drove us to (and from) the station. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of food for a continental breakfast. The bathroom was spectacular and the water pressure excellent. Deco was lovely. One can walk to the town centre and the station, it’s on top of a hill but it’s not far.
Cons: A table and chairs for dining outside would have been even more perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicola has created an amazing and beautiful space for guests in Castlemaine. The quaint cottage charm of the Be&Be home is seamlessly blended with modern features and decor items effectively creating a sense of luxury. I honestly could not fault the accommodation or Nicola's hospitable service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicola is a generous host, we arrived to her cheerfully lit stable house with a fridge filled with beautiful Istra bacon, eggs, yogurt, a selection of quality juices and extra supplies of milk, not to mentioned fresh breads and muesli on the kitchen bench. The house is gorgeously refurbished, artfully and eclecticaly furnished. Whoever is responsible with the styling/design has great eyes and a daft design touch. We loved the personal touches, soft lightings and well considered interiors. The beautiful gardens and landscape completed the perfect setting. We loved the place and cannot wait to come back.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The images don't do be&be justice! The place is absolutely amazing! Excellent get away...will stay again!!

Pros: A great historic property that could do with some updating but comfortable.
7.5 Good
Pros: There was no breakfast. Close to good cafes. Very small, but we spent very little time in the room.
Cons: Very tiny shower recess. Can't imagine how a very fat person would manage.
7.5 Good
Pros: Jan was lovely. The room was extremely warm on arrival and reverse cycle was great for the whole 2 days except for when we woke to no electricity on the 1st morning. After that required help to program it again. Was very grateful for the breakfast at Saff's Cafe (which we highly recommend) to compensate for the lack of power on Saturday morning.
Cons: No toaster in the room (as advertised) - but one was made available upon request - along with butter, plates, & jams but no knives :-( No Foxtel (as advertised) No staff at the property overnight.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and not expensive. Comfy bed ao great for an overnight stay. Very accommodating owner when requesting room type and date change.

Pros: Lovely host. Bed extra comfy. Warm room.
Cons: We thought that there would be a toaster but there wasnt one. Host said that she could have supplied one which was lovely. Next time we will ask. Noisy inconsiderate male guests banging on door in middle of night. No fault of the host.

Pros: I love that it has been rebuilt. It’s a beautiful warm cosy place. It’s homely. I love the friendly staff, the fire, the cocktails and the pool and spa. The restaurant is great too. I love everything. It’s handy to everything in town. I try to stay there when I come to Hepburn. It’s my fav place. We will be back. Thanks everyone.

7.5 Good
Pros: A nice, warm traditional hotel with friendly staff
Cons: My room was in a very noisy location right next to reception and was given a disabled room so unfortunately no bath.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the warm indoor pool. Rooms are large with sofa and chairs. Lovely cosy fire in the lounge next to the bar.
Cons: Unfortunately the mattress was very uncomfortable. I mentioned this last time we stayed. But no sign of any new mattresses or even a nice thick mattress topper. I would also like to mention that they don’t have any facilities for charging our electric car . So instead of having dinner there we had to go to Daylesford and have dinner there while we charged our car for our return journey .

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Dining room was beautiful & for breakfast we all enjoyed the lovely morning sun & the lovely views to the bush land. Breakfast & dinner was delicious with an excellent selection of fresh produce. On frosty & cold mornings & evenings, it was delightful. Our room was comfortable & warm & faced West. Having a wide verandah outside sheltered our room from western weather. Our bed was KS with beautiful linen & very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, the shower, the best, as hot & cold controlled very well. Experts at work! An open fire in the Bar area was divine on cold Autumn days complete with very comfortable armchairs. After dinner each night we’d head down to the ‘Games Room’. Definitely the ‘Rolls Royce’ of Games Rooms, a huge lovely room with heating, open fire, comfy armchairs, tables & chairs for table games, billiard table, table tennis & table soccer. Guests catered for so very well. And the indoor pool sublime & reminds one of a Roman Bath, an outstanding space to relax & unwind as you take in the views over their manicured lawns to the bush land beyond. A wonderful place to stay.
Cons: Can’t think of anything. It was perfect & the staff were lovely too.
