Very friendly staff. A good location for walks and visiting other areas. Huge comfortable bed in the room. Excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day. Food in the pub is also very good. A lovely atmosphere in the bar with endless characters to chat with. Being a lone female traveller it’s great to feel comfortable in the warm cosy bar. A great bonus too that dogs are made very welcome.
Great location with view straight across the harbour and bay. Super breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly, even after we tried to escape without paying (should add, we didn’t do it deliberately). Ideal place to stay for the Wigtown Book Festival.
The entire establishment blends and works as a team. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff cheerful and efficient, lovely 4 days.
Nothing. If I have to criticize it would be the mushrooms for breakfast, they could have been sliced and presented better to make them more appealing.
The friendly welcome by the owner, Harry on our arrival. The variety and quality of the food was first class served by exceptional staff who are warm and welcoming. The views from the room across the bay towards the harbour was tremendous.
The breakfast was up to expectations and the service was great. This is a little place we passed through a few years back, saying we should definitely come back and stay, so very pleased we did - it's a little gem of a place, well worth a visit. The staff and locals really made us feel welcome and we will be back
No bath...... and the shower pan was a "little tired" so water drained away slowly - honestly this was no big deal and certainly didn't detract from the positives - it's just that I do love a long soak in a bath on occasions.
