6.8 Good
Pros: Rooms were very good
Cons: You had to pay extra for everything It was very disappointing that you had to pay extra to use the pool/spa area even to the extent that you were only allowed two coffee pods per day
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, but the Champaign bottle in the breakfast was not opened.
Cons: We found it strange that coffee capsules were charged and that only two capsules were included per day.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The layout of the hotel is excellent - lots of space to relax and very convenient to walk to the great restaurants. Modern and comfortable. 5 minutes to the great Michelin restaurant Marela Limon where we had dinner. Safe and comfortable.
Cons: The swimming pool was not available for guests unless you paid 15 euros per hour! It was basically a small pool for the spa - so you could use the hamman and pool, and relax areas on the roof but you had to pay per hour! So basically there is NO pool - it is not a hotel with a useable pool as we thought when we booked. A shame as it was so hot and humid.

Hotel Ogalia - Vigo - Bedroom

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, comfortable room with good A.C. we walked from bus station which was a ways, but it was easy to find. Only spent one quick night so we didn't explore much.
Cons: The breakfast was very basic, but adequate. You ordered off small menu of Toast, coffee, juice, yogurt and fruit. The fruit offered was very overipe & not appealing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Was clean and comfortable within walking distance of port area. We particularly appreciated one of the employees, Noelia at the front desk, who went out of her way to help us through an issue.
Cons: Nothing in particular.

10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money modern, centric
Cons: Breakfast it will be nicer more fitness options
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The rooms at the front do have a lot of loud traffic noise definitely not quiet
5.0 Okay
Pros: I love the city and islands. But this hotel is Nothing really special than others. With only one elevator so will wait sometimes, but at least good for suitcases.
Cons: Serious remind. Very uncomfortable with sex harassment. The manager seems doesn’t know how to interact with woman. We talked on the street when he finished his evening shift. I felt sex-harassment when he touched my leg, hips, and even breast even I told him the “no! Please!” For ten times, and he still keep doing that ( on the other day he explained it was joking and apologized for this) please always Be careful for this guy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is definitely a plus. Walking distance both from the city centre and the riverside. The hotel is situated on a busy street, but the sound proofing is quite ok, unless you need to let the window open from the heat (which we did). It was spot clean.
Cons: For me the only thing slightly unlikable was the referred noise from the street, but it was very low and I fell asleep in an instant, so... don't think it counts. It was a very good experience overall.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Value-for-money option in a good location. Comfortable bed. Room safe in wardrobe.
Cons: Air-con is a little dated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as I expected but the staff deserves a score of 11! I forgot to get the name of male staff who welcomed us at 9pm at night to check in. He was very helpful, he even lent us an adaptor for my cellphone charger, he also did not charge me for the bottle of water that I used from the room ref. Jessica, the lady who took over the front desk was also very helpful. She called Tuitrans several times to make sure our luggage would be picked up and made repeat calls to make sure my payment went through. The staff makes up for the simple decor and amenities of the hotel but the linen, sheets and room were notably clean!
Cons: The aircon remained warm even when I turned the temp to 15’C...which I know is a common practice in many hotels during winter/cold season. At least I was able to open the windows which made up for the warm room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was gorgeous. the building was stunning. the facilities were exemplary.
Cons: Nothing. everything was great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was right beside my path on the Camino on my birthday. When I entered my room I was pleasantly surprised as the hotel had written a birthday wish to my in my native language with a few sweets. Thank you so much. The location is close to the train station in the centre. The room could be bigger, but in it there's everything you need, a comfortable bed with two pillows, one smaller than the other which is everything you need for a nice rest and you cannot hear any noise from the other rooms. I ordered food to eat in the room. The dishes were warm, but could've been warmer. The breakfast was the best part of the hotel, everything was fresh and tasty and there's was plenty of food. The reception had very kind and generous staff. I hope that this information will be useful to you.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel all around
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location within walking distance of a good range of good resturants, main shopping street and old area of Vigo with plenty of tapas bars. Room was larger than expected with confortable bed, breakfast very good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I like the hotel location, it's more or less perfect for Vigo. The staff are great, very friendly and very helpful. Our room was great, with a great view onto the street, clean too.
Cons: They charge too much for the breakfast, they charge €16 per person per breakfast which is way too much for what you get. I have stayed in very similar hotels in Spain and I have paid less than half of their price for a much better breakfast. They also charge €18 per day to park the car which again is too much, other hotels I've stayed in Spain the chrage is usually €10. However this would not stop me staying in the hotel again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, parking with valet parking. Spacious room. Nice breakfast selection.
Cons: Dark room with small window at covered patio. Bathroom was old and dark.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location in the Centre of town. Has underground parking for a fee. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Internet could be better.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds. Nice room (premium room)
Cons: Extremely noisy even if the room was on the highest floor. We couldn’t sleep at all (Friday night) due to constant shouting from the party goers which went until after 4 am.

7.0 Good
Pros: Amazing location and absolutely stunning views. Good swimming pool with lifeguard. Good restaurants.

Cons: The external grounds of the Parador need more attention because there was some litter.
7.0 Good
Pros: The town was amazing and the grounds of the Parador were beautiful.
Cons: For close to $400 USD/night, I expected more in service and facility. The pool is not heated. Breakfast is not included. Baiona is an amazing town. You do not have to stay at the Parador to benefit from the many beaches, harbor, parks, shops and restaurants. The public can walk the wall around the Parador and benefit from the vistas. I would LOVE to rent a flat in Baiona and stay a week!
9.3 Excellent

Everywhere that you go has comfortable lounge areas to sit and relax. Lovely bar with terrace with beautiful views. Dinner in restaurant was good including wine. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bar/breakfast room on the top floor was lovely, we really enjoyed starting the day there in the sunshine with a nice view over the water. Breakfast was good, the food was really fresh and the variety was good. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was in a great location, very close to the water and to the boat to Islas Cíes.
Cons: The double bed was a little bit on the small side (probably standard Spanish size).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Noise from the street till 3am
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location: excellent, very close to the ferry to the Cies Islands and to old town. Several restaurants in the area. Excellent breakfast with no-dairy choices. We reserved a suite: comfortable and spacious. The staff was kind and helpful.
Cons: All was very good, but the bathroom design does not take privacy into account.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: staff was very helpful and parking is close to hotel and easy to locate. Complementary fruit and water was very nice. As an Australia I'm use to a kettle in room with coffee making facilities as well as an iron and these are not available which was disappointing. Hotel is close to all local sites.
Cons: NO kettle or coffee/tea making facilities. Breakfast options very limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel, very luxurious, great bedroom
9.5 Excellent
Cons: A kettle in the bedroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big room excellent bathroom
Cons: All very good no negatives
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, clean and well located hotel. We wanted somewhere close to the Ilas Cies ferry terminal and this fitted the bill perfectly. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar on the roof top.
Cons: A very minor point- it felt more like a business hotel than a holiday hotel
7.0 Good
Pros: staff was very helpful and location is great
Cons: there was a bad smell of cigarette smoke which affected all our sleep on one of the nights. We complained about this as it was unusual for a non smoking hotel. There appeared to be an underlying smell of smoke but only one night was particularly bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located hotel near the old city and the harbour. Large room, good beds and bathroom. Very tasty breakfast in a room on the topfloor with view on the harbour. The supply of free bottles of water is a great idea.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Not many options for self cooking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roomy, privacy with the bed system and everything spotless. Great Hostel!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: You could sit up in the bunks and they had privacy curtains and plugs, which was great. Overall, this was a good no-frills private albergue.
Cons: Due to the layout, it could be quite loud- bring earplugs. It seemed like there was usually a wait for the women's showers.
6.3 Good
Pros: The place is clean. The showers are comfortable and clean. The place had hairdryer,
Cons: the kitchen was not so well equiped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the host and his family were charming and extremely helpful

Pros: Highly recommended for pilgrims. The staff is very friendly and everything is super clean.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This albergue was sparkly clean with great bathroom/showers. The curtained bunks gave plenty of privacy. There is a large communal area with fridge, sink, vending machines. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Close to the Camino Português. Great value.
5.0 Okay
Pros: As a pilgrim, this was a great place to stay. It felt like luxury. In general, I have no problem with municipal albergues but this place was so much better than the municipal albergue in Porriño, which has very bad reviews.
7.5 Good
Cons: there were Children/Teenager in the Hostel .... why? they were loud and noisy. there was no toilet paper

5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff was really friendly and very helpful.
Cons: The hotel looks from the 80s with no maintenance or improvements done since then. It is very old, very noisy (I could hear next room as if i was there), and for 80 euros a night for a single person, it was completely overpriced despite of being high season.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, near the old town and the port. Nice staff, clean and comfortable room.
Cons: Breakfast isn't worth 4 € they charge for.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location - close to the parks, castle, sea port and buses to the main bus station & beaches.
Cons: Limited breakfast

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Free cofee.
Cons: The room window did not have a blackout to stop light comming in.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It looks better in photos. Location is convenient, lots of places to eat around.
Cons: With the central location comes also the disadvantages such as noise. We were extremely unlucky since besides the downstairs resraurant there was a concert nearby by amateurs that lasted until midnight. Not the hotels fault but it really got on our nerves. Next time will look for some more peaceful neighborhood.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location.
Cons: The room was very narrow and nothing like the photos. When I asked to move they had nothing to offer. I went on line and found an available room for the next night. But they could inly offer me something on the first floor which was noisyer. The noise inside the hotel was as if there were no doors between the hall and my room. The wirst was that there was no reception from 9:30 pm to 9 am. My last night I arrived and my riom key did not work. I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to open the door. A disappointment from beginning to end.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Overall the hotel was very good, there were only two downsides: 1 the toilet paper was not enough and we had to keep asking when we needed, 2 on the last day when they chages the towels they put back only 1 towel for to persons which was a bit unpleasent by the time we notcied there was no staff to ask for another towel. These are minor things though, we really enjoyed the hotel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hector was a fantastic help with everything to do with the apartment and things to do in Vigo.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were great, all spoke very good English and were happy to pass on information regarding places to visit and local facilities. The location was great and although there was no catering as such tea/coffee and water was available FOC. In the square immediately outside were several bars/cafes so the catering was not an issue. A few meters away was the Plaza de la Constitucion with a further 5/6 bar/restaurants, La Central Bar/Restaurant was excellent, as was the Polbo Bar.
Cons: The wifi was poor in the room (but good outside in the square). Although very clean and well decorated the bathroom was cosy to say the least.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, lovely view from big windows and great location.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, nice and helpful! Clean and lot of space in the room. Great location 100 meters from old town bar and restaurants.
Cons: The room was very very warm (4th floor) when the outside temp was only 17-23 celsius. Noisy street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clear bedroom, full of light, comfy beds, bathroom with big windows, everything was so cozy and with such good taste! Muchísimas gracias, Hector & team! Hasta pronto!
Overview Reviews
The AC Hotel Palacio Universal, built in the latter part of the nineteenth century and located in the heart of the city, was the meeting point of the bourgeois and intellectual and political elite at the time. It is located in the best area of Vigo, in front of the Marina, near the historical town and not far from the beach and exhibition centre. Our Vigo hotel offers minibar, fully equipped bathroom, special amenities in each guest room, AC Lounge, fitness center, and Turkish Bath. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel so that guests can connect to the internet whenever they want.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Service and location are very good. Parking place available across the street for a fixed daly rate of 13 euros (small car).
Cons: The rooms seem a bit overpriced for the actual hotel standard. For those who may care (not my case), only Spanish-language channels available on TV. A breakfast buffet at 15 euros is also overpriced for the region. The bathrooms need a revamp; in particular the bathtub. During the check out, I asked to have a pdf version of the invoice mailed to me: never received it.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Parking was an issue
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! Most attractions and restaurants are in walking distance. Parking is available right across the street and isn’t too expensive at 13€ per day. Rooms are modern and clean with a really comfy bed! The building has a historic vibe and seems well maintained.
Cons: Street noise was sometimes excessive. Base rate doesn’t include breakfast, however that’s a great excuse to enjoy some of Vigo’s nice pastry shops.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rverithing
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good breakfast, comfortable
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast mediocre

Overview Reviews
With a stay at El Retiro in Nigran, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Samil Beach and Templo Votivo del Mar. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great location and very easy to find and good value
6.8 Good
Pros: The price was fine.
Cons: The main reason we booked in El Reitro was because they advertised with an available wash salon/service, but we were disappointed. After checking with the staff they said that there wasn't anything like that in this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff here were so lovely and the food in the bar was great. The bar was open early so we were able to get food before our walk. The room and everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay for one night. Big enough and comfortable room equipped with everything you need. Good Wi-Fi. Clean bathroom. Reception is at the restaurant. Really value for money.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: good location for camino trek but not so close to the beach, nice and clean rooms, great and helpful stuff, good restaurant
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the Camino. Supermarket nearby.
7.0 Good
Pros: Right on the Camino route. So good not to have to backtrack. Not a lot of English spoken but they made a real effort to accommodate our questions. Great little garden at the back to drink your beer in the shade
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were too late for lunch, and dinner only starting at 8 too late for us (pilgrims are almost ready for bed by then), yet the owner accommodated us by providing us with coffee and slices of the most delicious cake at an akward time for him.
Cons: A kettle, teabags, etc. in room would be a real treat.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great service for the money, big size of the room...
Cons: Before my check out time, the cleaning lady knocked at my door twice to ask if I how long I would take to leave. Not appropriated at all. There is no breakfast also.
6.3 Good
Pros: The property was right on the Camino and the staff were lovely.
Cons: I can understand not having air conditioning in a place where it is seldom required, however when asked they did not even have fans for the rooms. These are inexpensive and would’ve made a massive difference to my stay! Not worth the price.
