The facilities at the hotel were good. They have an onsen, breakfast, arcade, karaoke bar, and manga room among other things.
The staff was friendly but spoke little no no language. Do not recommend for people who do not know Japanese. Our room was decently sized, but there were cobwebs and we killed a total of 6 spiders on the first night. I'm not sure they clean the rooms before people come.
The dinner and breakfasts were fantastic. Dinner included drinks too! The location is lovely and the hotel would have been incredible in it's hayday.
The rooms are very old and worn. View from town side was of roof right outside balcony. Hotel is very tired and worn. Guests are mostly aged Japanese visiting for the hot springs.
My room was bigger than I expected and tatami room section was nice. The hotel has its own onsen which I used twice. The breakfast is buffet with a lot of variety, even some cereal for westerners. The hotel has lots of guests but it is huge so does not feel crowded. I slept well here.
The wifi does not reach the rooms, so you have to go the lobby area to use the Internet, but there are comfy sofas there.
no curtain on the window side. the sunshine is too strong in the morning.
There is a private bathroom in the room. The hotel have reading zone and many manga for reading.
The room is so small. If you put 2 futon inside, so there will be no space for sitting.
